We have to post our works if we want people to see them. Can you believe it? Anyways, quick sketch of our latest iteration of Attempting To Translate Vi To Our Style In A Way That Still Reads As Vi, and also a pre-mulched Mulch that we drew to test out a dip pen. Will maybe make some more effort to more easily distinguish bees and wasps later, particularly with shape - a lot of the general bulk of Vi's torso gets disguised with the middle limbs here, and it takes away a bit from the build we're trying to achieve. We'll get the hang of it eventually, we're sure.

Had some time to draw on paper so I tried getting a better idea of how I'm approaching the Bug World No Mercy characters and their anthro designs.

First one: A concept of Queen Mulch's royal outfit (as well as a general study of her shapes and markings). I imagine her royal cape is made up of leaves, with three berries tying the entire thing together in the front. I wasn't sure about an acorn crown which is why the outline of it is so faded

Second one: I just wanted to draw her some more lol. Also got an idea of her back head markings. Definitely messier though

Third one: Never before seen Prince/King Tomato, nepotism baby extraordinaire and certified spoiled child with "gifted kid" syndrome. I imagine his slug quote name is "For a blessed day it is for the golden child, for they shall taste the finest flesh of tomato till the end of life"
