How would you rewrite the season 3 love triangle? Btw love your posts 💕🤩

How I'd rewrite the triangle - that is a tantalizing question. First of all, I don't think I would have incorporated perfect match. I think I would have implied Nya having feelings in a more subtle way, and earlier on. That moment where she and Cole hold hands? I would have let that happen, but more naturally. Without Nya getting nervous, but rather as if she's trying to make a point that Cole doesn't get much attention, but she still sees him. I'd have her reaffirming his good qualities in a moment of pure connection. Then I'd have Jay come in to reaffirm exactly what she's saying, before they move on.

It would be after this, after truly seeing him, that I'd start making Nya realize her feelings for Cole aren't totally platonic. Maybe not as strong as her feelings for Jay, but they're there. She'd talk to Misako, not just accept her vague advice, and ask what she should do. Then I'd have Misako advise her to be better than her, and be honest. To tell Jay what's going on.

Which is exactly what I'd have her do. During a down time period, I'd make her have a serious conversation with Jay about what's going on with her, and how long it's been happening. Because it's Jay, he'd obviously freak out at first, because he's afraid that Nya doesn't love him anymore, and that maybe Cole made a move on her. It would take some explaining, and maybe a fight, but eventually he'd get the point that no, Nya isn't losing feelings for him, she's just also feeling things for Cole. The fact that she told him at all proves that she doesn't want him to get hurt.

So they talk. See how serious Nya's feelings are. I'd establish more moments between her and Cole to strengthen their connection so that it's plausible, and have a few of these happen with Jay too. Eventually, Jay and Nya would come to the conclusion that yes, she really does have feelings for Cole, and no, they're not going away. The most important conclusion of all, however, is if she wants to act on them, and if Jay is comfortable with that.

It takes some time, but he decides that because Nya trusted him enough to be honest, he's going to trust her enough to try. So they sit down with Cole, explain everything to him, and see what he feels. Cole is surprised at first, especially by how okay with it Jay is, before admitting that he's been feeling the same things, but wouldn't act on anything out of respect for Jay and Nya's relationship. They go on the double date at the movie, but they actually have a good time and enjoy each other's company.

The main reason love triangles have the two love interests as enemies is for conflict and storytelling purposes. There are ways to incorporate those in without destroying friendships. The conflict would be Jay's insecurity, Nya's fear of hurting him, and potentially Cole catching on that they're both hiding something from him, and feeling upset about it. At the end of the season, because of Zane's death I wouldn't really make anything official, but it would be continued into the Tournament of Elements where Nya would eventually decide to be in a relationship with both.

And if I really had it my way, I'd make Jay have feelings for Cole too.

I'm not much of a shipper when it comes to Ninjago, but I must say that I find it absolutely hilarious that where other fandoms have the typical portmanteau ship names, Ninjago has the most wacky, out-of-pocket ship names ever, and I love it.

S3 love triangle except it's not actually a serious love triangle, Nya and Jay saw it popping up repeatedly in romcoms they watch together and decided they want to do one. Cole gets dragged into it cause, Kais Nyas brother, Zanes crushing on Pixal and Lloyds Lloyd. Yes they have to beg him to do it. Yes he only agrees because its funny to him.
