the fucking among us ao3 stats tweet is on my dash and i only want to inflict my two cents on it. if i recall, from the height of amongus as a game, a lot of people were writing edgy gore fics. for some reasom (hmmm I wonder why /s) a lot of writers on a heavily female dominated website dislike writing edgy gore fics about female characters being brutalised. like even in whump communities whump featuring female characters, at least from what i can tell from the outside looking in stigmatise “lady whump”. so like. there’s your reason in my opinion. and also streamer rpf. i don’t think we should ignore that.
