Hey, ignore if u arent still doing requests but I've had this storyline in my head for ages and I think ur a perfect writer for tom. Basically, the reader is a muggleborn but she attends Hogwarts and it's like half term where they are all home for a break. Shes either avery or lestranges adopted sibling and it's kinda been kept a secret from tom because.. well yknow shes a muggleborn lol(he knows about her now because her adoptive brother had to explain before bringing Tom over) anyways so hes at every or lestranges house for some reason (you make it up) and shes in her room, her adoptive brother needs something so he asks tom to get it from her desk in her room and they preferably have 🌶 time. Sorry if it sounds stupid but I've been thinking about this for ages!!😭
𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 | tom riddle
tom riddle x f!reader 8,104 words warnings: smut. sort of angst. also lots of prejudice against muggle-borns. read part two here. notes: reader is hufflepuff and muggle-born in this one. summary: every year, the lestranges will hold a christmas party for only the oldest of pure-blood wizarding families. every year you are locked in your room while the party rages downstairs, but everything will change when tom riddle is invited to this year’s party. everything…
The Lestrange name definitely held some irony, considering how strange the family truly was. The Mother sent an owl at lunch, the rolled parchment dropping onto the plate in front of Tiernan Lestrange. On either side of him sat Clarence Avery and Liam Mulciber, who gazed down at the rolled parchment sealed with the Lestrange family crest with sparkling irises.
“Is it for the party, Lestrange?” Avery asked as Lestrange took another bite of his sandwich, dusting his hands off before finally taking a hold of the parchment, untying the ribbon keeping it closed. “More than likely,” he replied as the parchment unraveled, his mother’s handwriting gazing back up at him in inky black cursive letters.
‘To my dearest son,
Tell your friends they’re more than welcome to join us on Christmas Eve for the party. Invite that Head Boy you were writing to me about too. I am most interested to meet him, since you speak so highly of him. Remind the Girl that she is to not speak of the party, I simply cannot have any more of her kind in the house. I will see you at King’s Cross Station, my darling.
With all my love, your mother.’
Of course, the Girl referred to the Hufflepuff sitting all the way across the Great Hall at her own House’s table, her head down as she ate, so as to not catch the attention of her brother or any of his friends. She didn’t choose this family— and if it were her choice, she’d be far away from them— and neither did they.
It was the fault of whomever it was who dropped her onto the Lestranges’ doorstep in the wee hours of the morning when she was only an infant. The Mother had given birth to her son only a few months before, and found the crying baby on her doorstep to be quite a burden.
She asked herself why the Mother and the Father even bothered keeping her, for even before they learned of her blood status, they hated her. Perhaps it was to uphold their reputation— taking in a child who wasn’t theirs? It was the perfect foundation for the story of a kind-hearted pure-blood family— how could the Lestranges let that opportunity go?
Of course, behind closed doors, she was treated less than a family member, some would argue far less than a house elf. She may as well have been a house elf if you ask her. She was treated like how they believed anyone of her kind should be treated— a mudblood deserved to be treated like the rubbish they are, they’d say.
Up until she got her Hogwarts letter, she believed them. She believed she deserved to be treated this way, that she deserved to be put through the torture that came with living with the Lestranges. She believed she had filthy blood, demon blood.
But all of that changed the second she first stepped foot into Hogwarts. Of course, the Lestranges were at first very against letting her attend Hogwarts— mudbloods shouldn’t be taught magic, they’d say— but even they could only take so many letters flying through the fireplace or popping up in the stew before they gave in. Of course, she wasn’t allowed to tell anyone of her blood status— “you are not to tell anyone of your filthy blood status,” the Father had told her with an accusatory finger in her face. “As far as anyone is concerned, you are pure-blood. So I expect you to act like it.”
Her school robes and supplies were not as grand as Tiernan’s, and she wasn’t allowed an owl or a cat or a toad. But she told herself that she would make do with what she had, and she felt at least a little bit grateful that the Lestranges didn’t give her tattered secondhand, even third-hand clothes, even if she knew it was all for the act.
When the Lestranges found out she had been sorted into Hufflepuff however, oh, it gave them all the more reason to ridicule and torture her back at home. “Of course the mudblood is in the weakest House,” the Mother would mutter beneath her breath as she and her husband read the letter their son had written. “We were fools to think that old ratty hat would sort her into Slytherin.”
Tiernan and his friends— they made certain that her life at Hogwarts was just as bad as her life at home. Of course, Tiernan was the only one who knew the truth about her blood, Avery, Mulciber, and the others just tagged along because they found it funny. They loved calling her names, making her trip in the hallways, pulling pranks such as jinxing her school books so that they may not open no matter how hard she tried.
And still, she didn’t dare stand her ground, for she knew all too well that the Mother and the Father would catch wind of it, and make certain that she’d be on the first train back to King’s Cross Station. So instead, she dealt with Tiernan and his friends, just like she learned to deal with everything else.
But Tom… Tom Riddle was different.
Tiernan Lestrange and his friends worshiped the ground Tom Riddle walked on, and it was no secret. She remembered when she first saw Tom, all the way back in the Sorting Ceremony in her first year at Hogwarts. She remembered hearing his name ‘Riddle, Tom’ being called and she remembered watching as he approached the platform, settling himself down onto the stool.
She remembered the way their eyes met and she swore her knees turned into jelly when she gazed into those dark ravines he had for irises. And she remembered when the Sorting Hat exclaimed “Slytherin!” hardly before it had even touched a hair on his head.
And she remembered how disappointed she felt when she was called up to be sorted, the Sorting Hat put her into Hufflepuff. She wanted to be a Slytherin— she wanted to be wherever Tom Riddle was.
In all her time at Hogwarts, she’d never even spoken a word to Tom Riddle. They’d pass each other in the halls, but thanks to her brother, she’d never been given the chance to even tell him hello. And Tiernan made it clear that she never would.
So life went on, and she got older. She hoped that over time, she’d forget about Tom. But it was hard when he was made prefect, and when he was given the Special Award for Services to the School, and when he was made Head Boy at the beginning of their seventh and final year.
She remembered her fifth year during all the attacks on muggle-borns vividly as if it were only yesterday. She remembered how frightened she was when she realized it was muggle-borns whatever it was was attacking. She remembered the panic she felt when Hogwarts was on the brink of being closed— she couldn’t have that! She belonged at Hogwarts, not out there with the Lestranges where she was treated like vermin.
At least here, she could pretend to be someone she was not.
Of course Tiernan was no help, always taunting her and teasing her that she’d be next. She remembered when she heard that it was Rubeus Hagrid who had freed the muggle-born killing beast, how although she felt that it could not be Hagrid, she felt a sense of relief when he was expelled, when all the attacks had stopped.
And of course it was Tom Riddle who caught him. And of course it just made her admire him more and more.
But she would keep her distance. She’d admire him from afar. She couldn’t begin to imagine the torment Tiernan would put her through if he found out she liked Tom Riddle.
“Yes! Looks like we’re invited, Mulciber,” Avery exclaimed, pumping his fist. Tiernan rolled his eyes at his friends, “you’re invited every year,” he replied, just as Tom entered the Great Hall, and they fell into silence as he approached.
She could see Tom over the tops of the heads of the Hufflepuffs in front of her, and she slowly sat up to get a better look. That was when Tom blinked up and she swore their eyes met, just for a moment, before he settled down into his seat, disappearing behind the heads of the other Hogwarts students. She felt herself flush as she hunched over her plate again, a small smile creeping onto her face.
“My Lord,” Tiernan Lestrange nodded as Tom settled himself between him and Liam Mulciber. Tom nodded in acknowledgement as he placed a few pieces of chicken onto his plate, and Tiernan’s gaze flickered from him to the rolled parchment in his lap. “My mother sent an owl,” he said, and Tom hummed in reply, nodding. Still, he said nothing.
Tiernan shifted in his seat and cleared his throat, and Tom, with his eyes slightly narrower than before, peered up at him, waiting for him to say whatever it was he wanted to say. Tiernan turned pink beneath Tom’s stare, and he presented the letter to him, Tom’s dark eyes flicking down to the inky black words on the scroll.
“My family, we… we hold a Christmas party every year,” he said, and when Tom glanced back up at him, he flushed again. “And you would’ve been invited! But it’s only for the oldest pure-blood families, and, well…” Tiernan trailed off when he saw the shadow looming over Tom’s already dark gaze, and Mulciber and Avery shifted in their seats uncomfortably.
Tiernan cleared his throat again, “but I’ve been speaking very highly of you to my mother. She wants you to come,” he said, his lips curving into a smile. Tom pressed his tongue against the inside of his cheek as he stared back up at Lestrange, handing back the parchment. “Yes, I know. I can read, Tiernan,” Tom said sternly, and Tiernan clawed at his knees to prevent himself from trembling.
“Yes… well…” Lestrange said shakily as he rolled back up the parchment, slipping it inside one of his pockets. “…I’d really love it if you come. We’ll all be there— me, Avery, Mulciber, Rosier, Dolohov, Nott— and our families too, so you can meet them all!”
Tom took a bite out of one of the chicken wings on his plate, placing it back down before wringing a napkin between his hands, gesturing towards Lestrange’s robes with his head. “Who is your mother referring to when she speaks of ‘the Girl?’” He asked, and heat crept back into Tiernan’s cheeks until they glowed scarlet. “Oh, you know… my sister…” he muttered, and Tom’s brow furrowed. “Why wouldn’t she refer to her daughter by name?” Tom questioned, turning his body to fully face Tiernan, his interest piqued. “What does she mean by she ‘cannot have any more of her kind in the house?’”
The other boys leaned in to hear what Tiernan would say next, and he knew now that there was no way to get out of this. He’d have to tell the truth not only to his friends, but to his Lord.
“Forgive me, my Lord, for asking this of you,” Tiernan hung his head and muttered lowly towards Tom. “But I must ask that you promise you won’t tell another soul about this. This goes for all of you, too,” he said towards Tom and the rest of their group. Lestrange gazed into each of their eyes and held contact for a moment with each, to make it known that he was serious.
Tom shrugged, “I promise.”
Tiernan inhaled a shaky breath, before finally saying, “she… as you know, is not my sister,” he began. “And she’s not pure-blood, either. She’s a mudblood.”
Mulciber, Avery, and the others all leaned closer and broke into a sea of murmurs, “that sure explains a lot. But a mudblood? In the Lestrange family?” Tom remained silent as he stared at Lestrange, beckoning for him to continue. “Her filthy muggle parents left her on our doorstep after she was born. My mother and father took her in purely out of the goodness of their hearts,” Tiernan sat up and stuck out his chest proudly. “And they kept her, even when they learned where she came from. So you see now why she never comes to the party. Mother always tells guests she’s never home for the party anyways.”
The boys all laughed and ridiculed her while Tom, again, remained silent, staring absentmindedly down at his plate. He wasn’t sure what to think, how to feel. All this time he’d spent watching her, only catching glimpses of her from afar when he felt a gaze on him, watching as she turned away whenever she saw him with Tiernan and the others.
All this time he secretly lusted after her, the outcast of her family, the black sheep of the family. All this time he felt some sort of connection to her, all this time he felt he could relate to her because he, too, felt like an outcast. The outcast of the orphanage he grew up in, the outcast of the Gaunt family, the outcast of his muggle father’s family.
Tom Riddle never belonged anywhere, but he belonged here, at Hogwarts. And he knew she felt the same.
But would things change now that he knew she was muggle-born? Should he feel disgusted with himself now for ever thinking of pursuing her, for ever thinking of taking her in whichever way he pleased? Was it wrong of him to still lust for her, to still think of having his way with her?
Tom was clever but this, this he wasn’t sure of.
“So where has she been hiding during the parties?” Liam Mulciber asked, and Tiernan Lestrange snickered. “Mother and father force her up into her room. Says they’ll punish her accordingly if they hear even the smallest of noises coming from her room,” he replied, the boys erupting into another fit of snickers. Tom was still silent as he stared at his plate— he suddenly didn’t feel like eating.
The next day, she and a group of other Hogwarts students waiting to go home for the holidays gathered at Hogsmeade station, waiting for the arrival of the train. She snuck glances over to where Tiernan and his friends stood together, Tom in the middle of them all. She flushed and turned away when his head began to turn, and she moved to hide herself behind a few of her fellow Hufflepuffs, safe away from Tom Riddle’s view.
The train’s whistle echoed as the train emerged, slowing down to a stop before them. She dared gaze back over to where Tiernan stood with his friends as she waited for the doors to open, and when she did, Tom was no longer looking her way. She let herself stare for a little moment longer before she felt someone tap her shoulder, and blinked at the Hufflepuff girl in front of her with brown skin and shoulder length black hair she recognized as Clara Wingrave.
“Are you coming?” Clara asked, a furrow in her brow. She blinked and nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat back down. “Yes, sorry Clara,” she mumbled as she followed the Hufflepuff girl onto the train, sliding into the seat opposite the one Clara chose. She sighed as she settled herself into the seat just as footsteps thundered through the train, and she hardly had any time to register what was happening before their compartment door slid open, revealing none other than Tiernan Lestrange, Clarence Avery, and Liam Mulciber, Tom and the other three boys nowhere in sight.
Clara narrowed her eyes at their intruders, “hey, go find your own—“
“Shut it,” Mulciber hissed towards her. “No one allowed you to speak.”
Clara’s glare hardened as Tiernan leaned down to block his adopted sister’s view, his lips curving into a cheshire grin. Her hands balled into fists, and she suddenly felt the strongest urge to slam them right into that crooked smile of his.
“Mother sent the owl this afternoon,” Tiernan muttered, and he needn’t elaborate, for she was already used to the rules she was forced to follow every year during the annual Lestrange Christmas party. “Oh yeah? And let me guess… I’m not to speak of the party, I’m not to attend the party, I’m to stay up in my room and if I make even the smallest of noises, I’ll be punished accordingly? Is that all?” She asked quietly, so that the girl across from her could not hear.
Tiernan scowled and grabbed for her throat, much to Clara’s shock as she shrieked, giving her a firm shake. She pressed her lips closed and gazed into Tiernan’s dark umber eyes as they gleamed with mischief. “You dare give me attitude?” He tsked. “You just wait. I’ll tell mother and father about this and—“
“—Tiernan? Won’t you leave her alone for Merlin’s sake, the train is about to leave.”
She along with Clara, Tiernan, and his friends snapped their heads to the open compartment door where the Head Boy now stood, a furrow in his brow. He narrowed his eyes every so slightly, and he looked irritated. She flushed when she saw him and turned away as Tiernan released her, dusting off his clothes. She glimpsed up at him as he turned to leave, not without making sure to flash a dirty look her way over his shoulder before he slid the compartment door closed behind him.
“What the hell was that about?” Clara gasped and shook her head in disbelief. “I know it is common for siblings to fight, but that was just absurd.”
She shook her head as she shifted in her seat, gazing out the window as the train began to move, and Hogsmeade station grew further and further away until it disappeared altogether.
“He’s not my brother.”
The train ride back to King’s Cross Station seemed to go by quicker than usual, much to her dismay. She wished she could stay on the train forever rather than have to go back to living with the Lestranges, and wished that she had an invisibility cloak so that she could hide and be on her way back to Hogwarts within the hour.
But, since she didn’t, she sighed as she collected her bag with her few belongings and exited her compartment, stepping out of the train and onto Platform 9¾, where her eyes immediately fell upon the Mother and the Father where they stood, eyes narrowed when they fell upon their muggle-born adopted daughter. She huffed as she made her way over to them, standing beside the Mother with a considerable amount of distance between them.
“Where is my son?” The Mother asked through gritted teeth, and she shrugged her shoulders. “He and his friends should be getting off soon,” she replied, not daring to turn to look at the Mother. Sure enough, almost as soon as she finished saying it, there stepped out Tiernan and his friends, Tom Riddle close behind. The other boys left to greet their own parents, but Tiernan and Tom made their way over to where she stood beside the Lestranges, and she flushed.
Why was Tom coming over here?
“Tiernan,” the Mother smiled, drawing her son into her chest for a hug. “And you must be… Tom, is that right? Hogwarts’ Head Boy?”
She glanced over to where Tom stood, a charming smile plastered his face and she could feel heat creep back up her neck. She turned away from him before he could catch her staring.
“It is nice to meet you, Mr and Mrs Lestrange,” Tom greeted them, shaking Mr Lestrange’s hand and giving the top of Mrs Lestrange’s a polite kiss. “Oh!” Mrs Lestrange giggled. “I like this one. The manners!”
Tom flashed his best smile but snuck a glimpse over to where the Lestranges adopted daughter stood, her arms crossed over herself as she looked anywhere but at him. He eyed her up and down just as Mrs Lestrange clutched either of his forearms, and he was forced to tear his attention away from the girl behind her.
“Tiernan here tells me you’re from the orphanage?” Mrs Lestrange asked and Tiernan felt like shriveling away beside Tom. Tom only nodded in reply to which Mrs Lestrange tutted, “how about this? You’re welcome to come and stay with us for the holidays. We’d be delighted to have you.”
She froze at this and her lips fell agape with the intent to protest, but nothing came out. She knew nothing she said would matter anyways, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to handle being around Tom for the entirety of the holidays. She’d been comfortable leaving him at a safe distance away from her at school, but now she’d have to deal with seeing him at the Lestranges? She simply wouldn’t be able to trust herself being around him for so long.
“Thank you for your hospitality,” Tom beamed as Mrs Lestrange fussed over him, leading him away from the platform, and she, the Father, and Tiernan followed close behind. Tiernan made a point of ramming his shoulder into her every once in a while, and it took everything within her to control herself, to not shout or push him away. The Father saw this was happening but did nothing to stop it.
It wasn’t longer before they finally entered the Leaky Cauldron and made their way to the fireplace, and they each grabbed a handful of Floo Powder. The Father went first, then Mrs Lestrange, and Tiernan before it was down to her and Tom. It occurred to her that this was the first time they had ever been alone together, and she forced herself to look away as he stepped into the fireplace.
Tom was no stranger to her shy nature. He tilted his head to try and get a better look at her, watching as she peeked over at him only to find he was staring, and looked away again. He smiled, exclaimed “Lestrange Manor!” and he was gone, leaving her alone.
Soon, she too was back in the Lestrange Manor, and she nearly ran into Tom where he stood just before the fireplace. Her palms instinctively fell onto his back to find her balance, and oh, how she felt she’d explode where she stood.
It was the first time she had ever touched Tom, and she truly did not expect him to be so warm. Tom glanced back over his shoulder when he felt her hands on him and swiftly stepped out of her way, feeling her touch lingering on his back where she had touched him. Something ignited within him at that touch, and every doubt he had about still wanting to pursue her seemed to fray away.
He wanted her.
“Welcome to our home!” The Mother exclaimed with a smile as she dusted off the shoulder of Tom’s coat where some ash had fallen, letting her palms soothe back down all the way to his elbows. “Tiernan will show you where you will be staying. Feel free to make yourself at home.”
She began to follow Tiernan and Tom as they headed for the staircase leading to the next level, but just before she could, the Mother grabbed her by the elbow and tugged her backwards to face her and the Father. She scowled down at her adopted daughter as soon as she made certain Tom was out of sight and leaned down until they were eye level.
“Listen to me, girl, and listen to me good,” the Mother said lowly. “You are to be on your best behavior while we have a guest in the home. You are to stay up in your room for the holidays except for meals, do you understand me, girl?”
She blinked— normally, she’d hate the fact that she had to stay up in her room all hours of the day, but instead, she felt relief surge through her. At least she wouldn’t have to see Tom, at least she wouldn’t make a fool out of herself in front of him.
“Yes, Madam Lestrange,” she said as the Mother released her elbow, and the Father stepped forward, leaning down to eye level.
“And you mustn’t leave your room under any circumstances during the party tomorrow evening,” he muttered. “If I hear even the smallest of sounds coming from your bedroom, I will punish accordingly and do understand, I will not show mercy.”
She heard this rule every year, but still to this day, the way the Father threatened her sent chills down her spine. “Yes, Mr Lestrange,” she nodded and when the Father waved her off, she walked as fast as she could towards the stairs, practically sprinting up the steps and down the hallway until she finally reached her bedroom.
Tom and the rest of the Lestranges were already in the dining room when she finally bounded down the steps, and he could tell Mr and Mrs Lestrange were using all the self restraint they had within them to not blow up at her, most likely for his sake. He watched as she sat down across the table from where he and Tiernan sat, carefully only placing a small selection of food onto her plate.
He glanced back over to where Mr Lestrange sat on one end of the long dining table before looking over at Mrs Lestrange on the other end. Neither paid her any attention, or showed any intention of speaking to her. She didn’t seem to want to talk either.
“So, Tom, Tiernan tells me you’re exceptional at Defense Against the Dark Arts,” Mr Lestrange said, shaking Tom from his thoughts. He forced a small smile as he nodded, wiping his hands on his napkin. “Yes, actually, I wish to become Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher one day.”
She listened as she finished her dinner as quickly as she could, but she didn’t stick around to hear the rest of Tom’s story. She gazed over at the Mother who only nodded that she may be excused before she gathered her plate and hurried off to the kitchen where the Lestranges house elf cleaned.
“Thank you for the food, Gimbel,” she nodded at the house elf who only nodded back as she set her dirty plate on the pile of unclean dishes the house elf had stacked on the countertop. She hurried back upstairs where she shut herself in her room, sighing as she fell onto her mattress.
All she had left to endure was breakfast tomorrow morning, and she’d be free of seeing Tom for the rest of the day. She rested her arm over her eyes, her heart beating against her chest. She couldn’t believe the boy she’s been pining after since her first year is in her house, staying in only a few rooms down from hers. How she wished she could talk to him, to treat him like a guest rather than act like he wasn’t even there at all.
She even, for a moment, wished she was a true member of the Lestrange family, so that she could be treated as an equal.
Tom hardly saw her for breakfast the next morning, for as soon as he and Tiernan had entered the dining room, she was seemingly finished with her food, and once again scurried off towards the kitchen as she did the night before. Tiernan scoffed when he saw this as they took their seats on one side of the long dining table, loading their plates with biscuits and bacon and eggs.
“I apologize for her… strange behavior, my Lord,” Tiernan muttered to home as Tom took a sip of milk. “She’s always like this, you see.” Tom didn’t care to listen to whatever else Tiernan had to say about his adopted sister. Tom had already made up his mind about her, it was how he’d find the chance to talk to her that was the problem.
She seemed to avoid him like the plague, and he knew he more than likely wouldn’t be seeing her at all the rest of the day, since the Lestranges locked her in her room while they hosted their party. Tom was clever, so surely he’d be able to find a way around it?
But as the time for the party to begin approached, he still came up with nothing. He had no excuse for wanting to see her, and with Tiernan practically breathing down his neck, he hadn’t any chance of sneaking away any time soon. He wasn’t even sure if he’d be able to see her at all when the party began and Avery, Mulciber, Rosier, Dolohov, and Nott all came rushing towards him and Lestrange. He had no space absolutely no space and no time to sneak away.
“Don’t worry,” Lestrange was saying to his friends. “The mudblood is upstairs in her bedroom. Won’t be coming out at all tonight, that one.” The boys snickered as they called her names and made jokes about her, but Tom wasn’t listening. Even though it seemed as if all hope of seeing her tonight was lost, he was still thinking of every possible excuse he could come up with to sneak away.
But fortunately, he wouldn’t have to contemplate for much longer.
“Blast,” Lestrange cursed, feeling around his pockets. Clarence Avery furrowed his eyebrows as he watched his friend, the others soon joining in. “What is it?” Liam Mulciber asked as Lestrange emptied each of his pockets, coming up with nothing. “Left my damn wand in my room,” Lestrange muttered, and Tom perked at this. Lestrange turned to Tom and stepped closer to murmur close to his ear, “forgive me for asking you of this, my Lord, but I simply do not trust the others. Will you go upstairs and retrieve my wand for me? I can’t go upstairs, mother and father said I need to stay down here.”
If Tom was the type, he’d laugh and jump up and down at the request. All day he had been trying to come up with some sort of excuse to slip away from the party, and now he finally had one. He cleared his throat and nodded, “of course,” he said to Lestrange before making his way over towards the staircase, but he did not stop at Tiernan’s bedroom door as he passed.
Instead, he walked a little further down the Lestranges upstairs hallway, stopping at the last door on the left where she was, the black wooden door the only thing separating him from her now. Tom raised a fist to the door and knocked, and for a moment, it was silent on the other side.
Who could possibly be knocking at her door?
She knew it could not be any of the Lestranges, for they would’ve just burst through the door without any respect for her privacy anyways. It couldn’t be Gimbel either, the house elf never came to her room. She grew weary as she closed her book and set it down on the mattress beside her, clearing her throat before murmuring a low, “come in.”
She watched as the handle to her door twisted and it swung open, and when she saw who was standing there in her doorway, she felt as if all the air had been knocked from her lungs. She’d only ever dreamed of Tom Riddle being in her bedroom, but never before did she actually think he’d really come in here.
But there he was. There Tom Riddle stood, closing the door behind him and turning to gaze at her where she sat on her bed, his eyes entrancing as they were dark. Even from across the room, his irises seemed to pull her in like they were magnets and she was metal, and she lost herself further and further into his soul…
“Forgive me,” Tom said, and she blinked. Those were the first words she had ever heard him direct towards her. “I would not usually barge into a lady’s room like this.”
Fire raged across her skin, up her neck, and to her cheeks until they were seared with flame. She suddenly had the strongest urge to open the window, wondering if she had broken into a sweat yet or not.
She blinked again, and the corner of Tom’s lips curved into a soft smile. He knew he already had her wrapped around his finger.
“Your brother thought he left something in here,” he said, gesturing towards her desk against the far wall of the room. “May I?”
She could not think of anything Tiernan could have possibly left in her room, but she wouldn’t dare question Tom, so instead she nodded, and she watched as he strode across the room, opening her desk drawers and sifting through its contents.
Of course, Tom wasn’t searching for anything. But she needn’t know that yet.
“Hm,” Tom hummed, closing the drawers he had opened and turning to face her again, leaning back against the wooden desk. “Perhaps, your brother was mistaken.”
She felt small underneath Tom’s gaze, and she felt as though she could curl herself into a ball right now and shrivel away. But instead she sat still on her bed, unable to speak, unable to move. Tom chuckled and she pinched her bottom lip between her teeth, mentally cursing herself for being so shy. Typical Hufflepuff, she could imagine her adopted brother sneering.
“You know, you should really join the party,” Tom said, hoping to break the ice between them. She soothed the skin of her arms with her palms and rubbed at her elbows, shaking her head. “The Mother and the Father won’t let me attend,” she managed to speak at last, and she gulped down the lump in her throat.
Although Tom already knew the answer, he still tilted his head, feigning curiosity. “Why is that?” He asked, and she swallowed again, forcing back down the truth. She dropped her head and shrugged, “because I’m different.”
Tom blinked, and he suddenly felt like he was ten years old again, still living at the orphanage he grew up in. For over ten years, he grew up unlike all the other children, and even at an early and young age, he knew that he was different. It wasn't until Albus Dumbledore came to visit him that he finally understood why he felt this way.
It was different in her case, because at least she knew why she was different. But they were still treated the same, like they were misfits, rejects, outcasts. It was then that he understood the connection he felt towards her with a different meaning, that he first noticed this string tethering them together.
They had both been lost before, but just like he had found himself, she could be found too. Tom could be the one to find her, for he seemed to be the only one who understood her.
Tom’s footsteps permeated her bedroom as he made his way over towards her bed, setting himself down on the mattress beside her. She flinched when she felt the bed dip beneath his weight, and it was then that it occurred to her just how close he was.
They had never ever been this close before.
“Why are you different?” He asked, gazing down at her as she peered up, their eyes meeting closer than they ever have before. For a moment she said nothing, only continued to lose herself further in the dark depths of the treacherous caverns that were his eyes. He studied her— her eyes, her eyebrows, her nose, her cheeks, her chin, her lips.
It was no secret that she was beautiful, even Tom could admit that. But she was vulnerable, it was clear the moment Tom met her eyes again. And Tom could work with vulnerability.
“Well…” she trailed off, contemplating how much she should tell him. Tom’s fingers grazed against her knee and she trembled, her eyes flicking down to his hand and back up to his face. “You can tell me,” Tom said warmly. “You can tell me anything.”
She blinked. Never before had she heard those words. Nobody has ever wanted to hear her story before, for they all thought they already knew it all by now. She was the child who was left on the Lestranges doorstep as a baby, the child the Lestranges took in to ‘raise as their own’ because they just couldn’t bear giving such a young girl away since they were so kindhearted.
So never had she ever thought she’d be given the chance to tell someone about herself, to let someone read her story. But there was something about Tom, and she felt like she could trust him.
“I’m… I was left on their doorstep as a baby,” she began, and Tom nodded, encouraging her to continue. “I was… I am muggle-born…” she trailed off, wincing as she searched Tom’s face for disgust, but he didn’t even recoil. He only gazed at her with that same patient stare, waiting for her to keep going.
So she did.
“They hate me for it,” she added. “For having dirty blood. I’m not sure why they kept me, I could’ve been a Squib or not even a witch at all for that matter. Thankfully, I got my Hogwarts letter when Tiernan did.” She wrung her hands together in her lap, Tom’s warmth drawing her even closer to him. “It certainly didn’t help that I wasn’t sorted into Slytherin.”
She swallowed the lump in her throat back down again, and Tom let his palm rest on her knee again, his touch warm, like a kiss from the sun itself. She felt relaxed when he touched her, despite how nervous she actually was inside.
“They treat me… so bad,” she whispered. “They treat me like I’m nothing.”
Her voice wavered before it broke, and when it was clear that she wouldn’t be able to continue, the hand that had previously been resting on her knee retreated so that it may instead reach her face. Gently, he gripped her chin between his thumb and forefinger and forced her face up to his, her teary eyes searching his for something, anything she could hold onto. Warmth, comfort, reassurance, hope, anything.
So Tom would tell her what she wanted to hear.
“You are not nothing,” Tom murmured, and her lip quivered the longer she stared at him. “You are somebody. Don’t let them take that feeling away from you.”
She blinked and her brow softened, her vision blurring with tears. She was somebody. Tom Riddle thought she was somebody.
And somehow, that seemed to be all she needed to hear.
A silence ensued and they only gazed deeper into one another’s eyes. With the grip still on her chin, he drew her near and he leaned down to meet her halfway, his lips pressing against hers softly, as tenderly as he could. He felt the way she shuddered under his touch, as if his kiss was a tranquilizer, and she was becoming limp and pliant, all for him.
So he kissed her deeper, he kissed her harder. His tongue was warm in her mouth as she let him reign dominance over her own, her hands shaking as one cupped the side of his face and the other grabbed his bicep.
This was what Tom Riddle had been fantasizing about for years. To have her compliant beneath him, to have her completely under his control. He loved how easy it was, how easy it was to have her. Although he’d admit, this connection he felt towards her was growing, and it was growing at an alarming rate. As he pushed her down onto the mattress and trailed his kisses down from her lips to her jaw, he found that his heart burned, as if she had set it aflame, and this feeling was foreign to him.
He had no idea what this tenderness he felt was, whether he dared call it love or not. For eighteen years, he was under the impression that he couldn’t love, that love simply just wasn’t in the cards for him, and he was completely okay with that.
But this feeling, whatever it was he felt for her, came unexpectedly, and he was unsure whether or not he should embrace it or push it away.
For now, he worked at unbuttoning her blouse as he sucked marks into her neck, his tongue swirling around her collarbone.
She pressed her lips together to contain her noises as Tom slipped her blouse from her shoulders and down her arms, discarding it down onto the floor altogether. He made quick work of her brassiere, his lips previously kissing her collarbone venturing down between the valley of her breasts, sucking marks onto either mounds of flesh.
“T… Tom,” she mewled as he pressed a kiss to one of her nipples, kneading her opposite breast with his palm. He hummed in reply, gazing up at her through hooded lids as he sucked the erect bud, releasing it with a wet pop before doing the same to the other. She squirmed beneath him and squeezed her eyes shut, arching her back up off of the mattress. “T… Tom, I… they will punish me if they hear me.”
Tom smirked against her skin as he released her nipple from his mouth and kissed down her stomach, past her belly button, all the way to the hem of her skirt. He pushed himself up by the elbows as he hooked his fingers over the hem, beginning to tug them down her thighs.
“Then I suggest you stay quiet,” he said simply as he removed her skirt from her ankles, her panties soon joining the sea of clothes on the floor as well.
She sank her teeth down into her bottom lip so hard when he placed a kiss just above her aching clit, she feared she’d draw blood. Tom eyed her through his hooded stare as he teasingly dipped his tongue past her folds, testing the waters. He watched as her face scrunched and she kicked her legs, arching her back at just the simplest of touches.
So eager, he thought.
He soothed her stomach with one of his palms as he pecked her clit, watching the way she trembled and writhed, whining behind closed lips, silent pleading for more. Tears broke past the glossy barrier of her eyes and began to spill down her cheeks like crystals, and he smirked as he pressed his lips down against her heat, sucking her clit as it throbbed and ached to be touched.
She threw her hands down on the mattress on either side of her, her fingernails clawing at the sheets as he flicked his tongue up and down her slit, humming at the taste of her nectar on his tongue. She tried to watch as he lapped up the juices spilling down her folds before flicking his tongue against her bud again, but she couldn’t even hold herself up, much less keep her eyes open for longer than a few seconds.
“P… please,” she mewled quietly as one of her hands ventured down between her legs to grip at his hair, and she ground her hips against his face, eager for more. That was when Tom stopped and pried her hand away from his head, and she blinked up at him through her bleary eyes.
“Do you want to come?” He asked as he unbuttoned his shirt, shouldering it off of him and tossing it to the floor with the rest of the discarded clothes. She gaped at the sight of his chest, but he grabbed her face again and forced her to look at him, squishing her cheeks between his thumb and forefinger. “I expect you to answer me when I ask you a question.”
She trembled and felt her walls clench at his words, nodding up and down. “Yes. Yes please,” she whimpered as he tore his hand away from her face to work on his belt, tossing it and his trousers away until he stood before her completely in the nude, in all of his glory.
He was beautiful. And he was already beautiful to begin with but this, she never could have even imagined how he looked underneath the clothes. He wasn’t muscular or built like a statue or even a Quidditch player, but still, his arms and torso were toned, and his cock…
She could feel her patience slipping away the longer he kept her waiting. She watched as he took a hold of his cock and stared down at her, maintaining eye contact as he gave himself a few pumps, his other hand absentmindedly stroking up and down her slick. She bit down onto her lip as she gazed up at him, watching him in anticipation for what was to come next.
Tom leaned back down to her face and captured her lips with his, unable to resist the temptation any longer. He kissed her again and again and again as he slipped inside of her, her moans muffled by his mouth on hers. She instinctively wrapped her arms around his shoulders and dug her fingernails into his skin, etching crescent moons into his flesh. Tom broke their kiss and let his forehead drop onto hers as he rocked his hips into her, slowly at first. One of her hands slithered to cup the back of his neck as tears streamed down the sides of her face, never feeling this good in all her years.
Tom let his gaze fall upon her face again, her eyelids squeezed shut but her face scrunched in pleasure, every once in a while muffling her sounds by pressing her face into his shoulder. He began to thrust harder than before, her legs wrapping around his waist and squeezing, beckoning him further inside of her. So he fucked her harder, and harder and harder and harder as if he intended to break her, to shatter her into a million pieces.
And maybe that was the goal all along.
Never has Tom felt this good, never had he felt so intoxicated by another person, and never did he believe he could be so attached to someone else before. Part of him hated it, part of him wanted to throw it away and stomp on it and set it on fire.
But the other part of him embraced it, another part of him felt powerful as he fucked into her with reckless abandon, powerful having someone underneath his control. He never imagined another person could feel so good, he never imagined someone else could make him feel so infinite. As far as he was concerned, he was doing just fine on his own.
But this was different. This was on a whole other level of power. He felt strong, even when she clenched around him and gushed around his cock, even when he felt himself so close to the edge, so close to releasing himself for another person.
He pushed away from from her and groped her chest with one hand, holding onto her shoulder with the other as he fucked her harder than before, without a care for how much noise they were making. He’d make it up to the Lestranges, he’d go down and tell them it was him making all the noise, it wasn’t like they’d punish him.
For now, he focused on chasing his release, on the way she felt around him, on the way he was so close to climax he could practically taste it. She sobbed beneath him and her lips fell agape with the intent of screaming his name but he clapped his hand around her mouth before she could as he thrusted again and again and again until finally he released, and warmth surged through her.
Tom’s chest heaved and he fell on top of her as she cried, motionless beneath him. Sweat made her skin glisten and tears made her cheeks swollen and sticky, but he found that he admired her all the same.
This warmth in his chest was new, and it was a feeling he couldn’t quite place or put a finger on. But if whatever it was could make him feel like he was on top of the world, like he was the most powerful being on this Earth, like he was infinite…
…then surely he could learn to embrace it.

TWST HP AU 🪞⚡️ !!
AcexYuuxMalleus
Yuu will be depicted as female in this with she/her pronouns
I’ve been thinking of an AU of this for a while now due to the similarities between each story (magical school of wizards with respective houses of each powerful mage), however as I think more there are even more character similarities some, depending on how you view Yuu
🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞
Golden Trio ⭐️- obviously Ace, Deuce, and Yuu, my favorite trio
Deuce ♠️ - Harry Potter. I can’t connect many similarities between them, but at the same time I can. They’re both boys who love their parents and just try to do the best in what they can, especially since both have been given a second chance to succeed in this magical world. Now, Deuce isn’t perfect but he is trying and is not overtly prone to breaking the rules. He’s sweet, innocent, while still having bite to his bark. A bit clueless at times but with good intentions.
Ace ❤️- Ok now this asshole is perfect for Ron (I’m joking). But honestly his more outlandish personality does have some comparison towards Ron’s sarcastic personality. He’s more on the laid back side whilst still being a valuable friend. (Also they’re both ginger lmao) Plus his relationship with Yuu is more on the chill play fighting side, anyways…
Yuu 🦐 - Hermione, this one can be taken lightly depending on how your version of Yuu is but one thing is for sure: they always get Ace and Deuce out of overblot situations and manage to use some sort of semblance of a brain to figure shit out. However, in my AU let’s say that Yuu too is trying to make a life for themselves by working hard and doing the most they can of their schoolwork. Yuu also being the glue that holds these two idiots together. And honestly her whole schtick as the school therapist now makes sense
Grim 🐱 - Crookshanks. Nothing more to say, just Yuu’s stupid cat (with love)
Also the whole racist thing with Hermione and Yuu could have a connection, since Yuu basically has no magical abilities, yet are able to attend this magical school and work their way up. And because of this, there may be students opposed to Yuu’s magiclessness (mudblood—)
Extra:
Malleus 🐉- Victor Krum, this is slightly stretching it a bit but I can see these two sharing similarities. Malleus and Krum are both exemplary at their respective wizarding sport (Spelldrive, and Quidditch) and are known to be prodigies of it. They don’t have many friends due to being viewed as Gods, Celebrities, etc. in some way and therefore are quite lonely. Attracted to this specific person for not fawning over them and for seeing who they really are, and are able to appreciate their brains for what it’s worth 💚💚
Extra extra:
I totally see the Yule ball sequence happening in the TWST HP au because of these specific lines
❤️: Hoy, Yuu, you’re a girl arent you
🦐: Oh, well spotted
❤️: How about uh you and me go, since we don’t have dates as it is. Don’t wanna show up by ourselves right
🦐: for your information I already have a date *shuts book and walks away*
❤️: What’s got her wand in a knot
♠️: *clueless, spacing out* huh
And malleus totally showing up as yuus secret date AAAA—
🦐: Would you care to join Malleus and I?
❤️: Care to? You’re fraternizing with the enemy
🦐 *irritated*: The point of interhouse games is unity and—
❤️: *rolling eyes* So what
🦐*understanding the situation*: You’ve been rotten the whole evening. Next time there’s a ball, pluck up the courage to ask me before someone else does, and not as a last resort
❤️: Women are scary
🦐: ACE, you’ve spoiled everything.
*cue weeping on the steps*
♠️: 🧍
And in likeliness, Yuu could end up with Malleus, and become the next Queen of Thorn Valley…but it could also take to the more erm in-canon Harry Potter ending cough (do you see where I’m going with this)
“Emotional range of a teaspoon x Nerdy Bookworm “
I love this AU, I could honestly go in so many directions with this AU
🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞⚡️🪞

the whole blood status thing is so bigoted in the first place. like in what world can u call someone a halfblood or a pureblood or a mudblood. like. and its not even banned by teachers or anything
its racism and I hate when fics are like "oh, but mudblood actually means mut-blud and its about how strong they are". no its just wizard racism. the n word just means black but its because of the connotations behind it and the social history that its a terrible thing to say, so decent ppl (who arent part of that culture) dont say it. I know its shitty of me to compare it, but thats what jkr was doing, so within hp maybe muggleborns can reclaim the word, but there shoudlnt be some translation that absolves fucking racists for using the word when they dont mean it like that
lowkey bigoted af how everyone is always 'omg harry you and voldemort are both halfbloods.'
uh... no. voldemort's dad was a muggle. neither of harry's parents were...
#oops sorry for the rant#harry potter#this gets on my goat a lot#the wizarding world is a huge supporter of systemic racism

Regulus Black dating a muggleborn
word count: 2863
[ warning; gender neutral reader, mention of death, description of crying, angst, no happy fucking ending, swearing, mention of lap sitting (none sexual), kissing, awkward teen love, regulus is kind of edgy and a dick sometimes ]
Fanon Regulus, not Canon. This doesn't line up with anything canon! So please do not take this seriously.
- Did I say dating? I meant secretly dating.
- Regulus spotted you studying alone at a table in The Three Broomsticks, he just couldn't hide the part of him that felt an intriguing feeling towards you.
- He asked a few people around, nudging them and gesturing towards you, asking a small "who are they?"
- It took him a few days to finally get someone to answer him and once he knew your name, he knew he'd fallen into a rabbit hole. he couldn't stop thinking about you, his mind twirling around your name in a constant spiral.
- Luckily, you had been partnered with him for a potions assignment. he couldn't talk to you, he couldn't even mutter a "hi" he was so nervous.
- He had never felt this nervous feeling in his stomach, it was coming to the point it was drowning him.
- Finally, the next day during potions he was able to gain enough courage and actually talk to you about the project, though his voice sounded so mellow and drawn out, like honey.
- He didn't try to engage in conversation other than the assignment, so when you offered that you and him could go to the library and do a bit more research, he said yes almost immediately.
- You both decided to go after dinner since the library wasn't as filled in the evening.
- So when he came back to his dorm after eating, he tried to change into something more casual than his school uniform. it took him a good 15 minutes to pick what he deemed was fit for the occasion.
- He was just about ready to step out the door with his books until his dormmate said something that caught his interest.
- "you're meeting up with your potions partner, arent you?"
- "Yeah, why?'
- "Nothing, it's just their a mudblood, you shouldn't be hanging around those types of people"
- "oh... I didn't know they were a... mudblood"
- 'yeah, nasty they are. you should just ditch 'em"
- So regulus did, he ditched you. he felt guilty, leaving you all alone in the library. you must had thought he was another pureblood prick.
- His conclusion was right, you waited for a good thirty minutes for him. When you realized he wasn't coming, you just decided to do the whole project yourself, it was better if you could just get this stupid assignment done yourself so you'd both could go your separate ways.
- The next day when he got to potions class, he saw you pass in a report to Professor Slughorn. He felt his stomach drop, he knew well enough you had finished the assignment last night without him.
- After class, he caught up with you, pulling you aside as he watched you stare up at him blankly.
- "what?" you had asked him, a hand on your hip as you gave an annoyed sigh.
- "I'm sorry I ditched you, I just didn't know you were a... muggle-born" he admitted, looking anywhere but your eyes as he caught a few of Slytherin boys looking at the two of you.
- "whatever, Black"
- " you didn't have to do the whole assignment, I would have helped you."
- Your eyes met the Slytherin boys who were watching you both, you gave a pitiful frown.
- " don't worry about it, I get it. next time, just tell the professor you don't want to work with me. don't lead me on for a stupid joke"
- He didn't get to explain himself as he watched you walk away, he felt horrible. he had never felt this deep connection to someone before, it made his heart sink when he watched you turn the corner.
- A few months pass, he hadn't gotten another opportunity to talk to you again. he felt like an idiot, he had a chance and he completely blew it,
- Late at night, regulus would stare at his ceiling and dream about what would happen if he had just done what he wanted if he had gone to finish the assignment with you. You both would meet up, exchange dislikes and likes, talk about your dreams for the future.
- He couldn't focus on quidditch, it was coming more frequent of his team captain yelling at him.
- Luckily, he had gotten another opportunity to talk to you again. both of you were selected to be a part of the slug club. Regulus was going to say no, but when he heard your name get mentioned, he joined.
- The first dinner party of slug club, was like a dream. his eyes scanned over your outfit and how it looked absolutely pleasing on your body. his eyes kept siding over to where you sat and when you caught him, he would just look away.
- After a few more meetings, he was done with the 'whole looking away whenever you looked at him' , there were only a few more months of Hogwarts left. his eyes met yours and he didn't look away, he gave a smile.
- When you had smiled back, he couldn't help but smile a bit wider, his cheeks glowing with a red flame.
- The next meeting, you had sat next to him. it didn't take long until you both had been exchanging words and stories, laughing at jokes and giving each other shy looks.
- After a dinner meeting during slug club, Regulus offered to walk you back to your house common room. (if you are in Slytherin, then he would just walk with you till you both had to go separate ways to your dorm).
- Once you arrived at your destination, it was awkward. He looked anywhere but you, his face was hot with red as he began to get flustered.
- You had said a quiet goodbye, turning to head back to your dorm but he grabbed your hand. Holding you back as he stiffened up and asked you out.
- "will you go out with me? This weekend, it's a Hogsmeade trip, I'll pay." His words were hard, but his body language was a complete mess.
- "you're not gonna ditch me again are you?"
- "no, defiantly not ." His words had still been raw and hard, he felt like he was going to throw up butterflies.
- "I'm a muggle-born, I heard you purebloods don't really like us very much. This kind of seems like a set-up"
- God you hoped it wasn't a set-up, ever since you've sat next to regulus at the slug club meetings, he had stolen your heart.
- "It might become an issue for some... people, but it doesn't bother me much"
- Regulus was defiantly not good at phrasing things, especially romantic feelings.
- You didn't take his words too seriously, you debated for a minute. You wanted to go with him, it felt like every nerve was alive.
- "Alright, one date couldn't hurt" with your words, you leaned up to kiss his cheek.
- "goodnight Regulus" ... and then you had disappointed out of his view. Once you reached your dorm, you screamed into your pillow with excitement.
- The date went well, you both had gone to the three broomsticks sticks and sat at a table near the very back.
- You had talked about everything you could, Though he made sure to stay away from the conversation of his family. He didn't want to ruin the date by mentioning his pureblood supremacist family. It's sorta a mood killer.
- You both stayed out of busy spots, even hiding and giggling in a bush as his dorm mates passed.
- That was your first kiss with regulus, tangled in bushes and twigs as you heard footsteps fading. His lips were soft, his hand coming to rest on your cheek.
- When you pulled away, both of you were flushed and looking towards the soil. He walked you back to Hogwarts, separating ways.
- You both couldn't see each other often, only giving each other looks in class or exchanging waves when passing each other in the hallways.
- It was fine for a few months, though the secret meetings were stressful yet fun. You didn't want to hide anymore, which resulted in your first fight.
- "don't you get it? I can't be seen with you! I've told you about my family. They don't like muggle-borns, this Voldemort guy doesn't either and I can't risk exposing our relationship! You'll get hurt!"
- "I don't care if I get hurt Regulus! Our love shouldn't be hidden because your afraid of what people will think! I'm tired of this sneaking around, I'm sick of it!"
- The fighting continued for minutes, both exchanging hateful words. At one point he had said something very vial, saying he couldn't be seen with someone like yourself.
- "What is that suppose to mean?" You sneered at him, eyes tearing up as your arms crossed over your chest.
- "you know damn well what it means," he said back, quick and hard as he just glared down at you.
- You huffed, turning away as you wiped at your cheek. You turned back, shaking your head at him before disappearing out of the room.
- He stayed in the room for a while, thinking about everything. He was so angry, his veins were about to pop from frustration. He hated his family, he couldn't believe that he would lose the one he loved because of his ratchet mother and father.
- He went to Sirius, which was a first in forever. He explained everything to him, he told him how he was sneaking around with a muggle-born and how he didn't want to stop loving you.
- Sirius smirked, thinking he had finally gotten Regulus to betray their spoiled family. Sirius talked his ear off, telling him that he was glad he was gonna change himself and come join the hated family member club.
- Regulus didn't just want to leave the family, he wanted revenge.
- He disregarded Sirius, telling him to piss off and leave him alone for a while.
- The end of 6th year was coming up and Regulus wasn't given any chance to speak to you. He knew damn well you both hadn't separated, just fought. Though he laid in bed at night and worried so hard he thought his brain was gonna rot.
- On the train, he made sure to pull you into a compartment with just you and him. Shutting the blinds so no one will disturb you both.
- "Regulus I don't want to talk to you"
- "I can't meet with you or write to you all summer, I'm not putting up with this break anymore. I only have 2 hours with you and I'm not wasting it."
- "aren't you afraid you're gonna be spotted with me?" ... Regulus wasn't quite good at sarcasm (HA! As if) but he knew well enough from the tone of your voice that you weren't too happy.
- Regulus sighed hard, watching you look out the window as you played with the bottom of your shirt; tucking it in and out of your skirt/trousers (or whatever you're comfortable in).
- "I'm going to do something crazy over the summer break and I don't know if it's going to work but all I know is if I can protect you, I will."
- "regulus what are you talking about?" You asked, you felt worry build up in your stomach. You reached out, grabbing his hand.
- He instantly interlocked your fingers together, he moved to your side as he stared deep into your eyes. His eyes always looked so cold, but right now in this moment, they felt warm.
- "I love you, honestly, if I could marry you right now I would"
- He denied to speak about what he said before, he didn't give you any more information.
- Halfway through the ride, you had been positioned on his lap. His arms looped around your waist as his head rested in the crook of your neck. He let you play with his hands.
- " I love you too" you mumbled in the quiet atmosphere. Regulus held you tighter at the words.
- "hmm?" He hummed, wanting you to say those words again.
- " you told me you loved me, I didn't say it back. But I do love you regulus, I love all of you."
- Regulus felt himself smiling, he couldn't stop the wide grin as he nudged his head into yours lovingly.
- "I can't wait to see you after the summer break" you whispered to him, kissing his forehead as you felt the train start to slow down.
- Dread filled the empty spaces as you hugged each other as tight as possible, not wanting to let go.
- "it's alright, I'll see you after summer. I promise" he whispered into your ear, before bringing your lips to his and kissing one last time.
- The kiss felt like fireworks, there was so much longing and passion mixed into it you didn't want it to end.
- Sadly, the kiss ended and regulus soon disappeared in the crowd of people.
- That summer, regulus had gotten the death mark, he reeked of anger and emptiness. All he wanted was to see you again, to hold you in his arms and kiss you until you both couldn't breathe.
- He had gotten close to Voldemort, he played all the deatheaters with his fake words and praises. He had learned about Voldemort's Horcruxes.
- Regulus had sat at dinner, fork pressed into his hand as he thought hard. His love for you was so strong, he would kill for it.
- He counted down the days until summer break would end.
- 2 more weeks.... 13 days... 11 days... 8 days...
- On the 7th day before September 1st, his plan came to action. He would destroy Voldemort's Horcrux and defeat him and after, he would live 7th year in peace.
- Though his plans didn't come to a win. It stormed and rages of rain came upon him as he made his way to the cave. All he could hear was his heartbeat and the sound of rain outside, along with the padding of Kreacher feet.
- He could hear his breath, his eyes casting over every edge and dark spot. He smiled, he was going to do it, he was going to defeat Voldemort.
- "Whatever I say Kreacher, don't listen. Just keep feeding me the water"
- Kreacher grumbled, "of course, sir"
- "for you love, all for you" regulus whispered before dipping the shell into the crevasse, bringing it to his lips as he took a sip.
- Drinking the liquid felt like poison, regulus had to fight himself to not throw it up.
- The liquid was almost gone, but Kreacher had to take regulus place and force-feed him. Regulus was begging and thrashing, saying whatever came to mind.
- Regulus couldn't finish the drink, weird slimy skeletons climbed from the water surrounding them. Regulus was in a horrid state he couldn't even tell.
- When Kreacher finally force-feed him the last of it, regulus mind came to stillness. His limbs too weak, but he was able to understand that the weird-looking skeletons were not friends.
- "Kreacher, take the Horcrux and go! Hide it! Try anything to destroy it! Go!" He had yelled out, voice dry and strangled.
- Kreacher had to obey by request, he snapped his fingers and disappeared with the Horcrux.
- Regulus tried to fight, his wand shook in his hand as he casts spells after spells. It worked for a few minutes, but there was only one of him and so many of them.
- Regulus was pulled into the water, he kicked and thrashed in spite of trying to get loose. He couldn't swim even if he escaped, his eyes stared through the muddy water as his lungs filled with it.
- Regulus thought of you, your smile, the first time you kissed him, the way your hand fit in his so perfectly, the way you would send him kind eyes whenever he passed you in the halls.
- He sank, and of course his body was dead, but his mind was still there. He was barely conscious enough, but he was there. His body limp and rotten as the years pass.
- His disappearance travelled fast, you had heard first on the train.
- The first years had wondered why a a 7th year was weeping so bad that they couldn't even stand properly.
- You shook hard, gasping and not even trying to grab anything as you sank to the floor of the train. You couldn't care that people were giving you looks, your boyfriend was gone.
- Regulus was gone.

jk is known for being particularly heinous for various reasons, obviously one of them being her stance on trans ppl. but saying the books arent harmless is false.
one key instance is the house elves and Hermione advocating for their freedom. a lot of ppl headcanon hermione as black and then jk saying she could but then in addition to that jk writing hermione as foolish for wanting to free the house elves, who shes stated in the books are happy being ensalved leaves a bad taste.
another instance is giving one of her only canonically black characters the last name shacklebolt and giving cho chang two chinese last names.
the goblins themselves are a particularly terrible caricature of jewish people. and ppl have spoken endlessly about her harmful rhetoric.
especially when she wrote the equivalent of wizard nazis, death eaters are nazis. they want to purge the wizarding world of "mudbloods" if that isnt a dog whistle i dont know what is.
im not trying to be mean but jk rowling isnt harmless. and boycotting her game and ppl who defend her actions is the right course.
i hope this helps clear up why some ppl like myself hate her and dont support her or ppl who defend her.
pls just don’t think i defend her ffs

Ethereal
Chapter 6
Masterlist
Ethereal: extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.
Walking down the halfway hand hand hand with Draco on the way to The Great Hall I was too engaged talking with Draco about our plans on the weekend that we weren't watching knowing we were close by. My shoulder bumped into someone’s hard, looking over I saw it was Ronald Weazly who was chuckling at himself. What could possibly be so funny to him besides his own pressince?
“What's so funny Weazly?” Draco scold.
“The both of you. Thinking you’re both so high and mighty. You're just two gits that are going to get what's coming.`` He snarls becoming chest to chest with Draco while looking down at me.
“The only one with anything coming to them is you blood traitors for talking to the mudblood.” Draco said, directing his attention to the redhead slightly behind the boy trying to pull him away from the pair.
“You think we don't know what you did this summer, what the both of you did. Selling your soul to.” I grabbed onto Ron's hand pulling him down to my level, my hands slowly heating up unbeknownst to me having a tight grip on his wrist.
“You know, Ronald the reason why your family is in the position you're in now is because you talk to people like me the way you are now. You may be a blood tratior but you arent stupid.” He looked down towards his wrist. He moved his wrist from my hand but I pulled him further down.
“You and your friends should stop digging in places that shouldn't be dug. We have it handled Weesely.” He hissed, looking down I saw some smoke coming from my palms. I let go looking down at my palms. I never meant to do that.
“I'm sorry?” Why am I apologizing? I should be enjoying hurting him, right? Only when I want to. But he deserved it? Why did it happen without me knowing? I've been working my ass off on control why did this git set me off?
“What are you.” He seethed, everyone outside the Great Hall was surrounding the scene in front of us just seeing that Ron was gripping his wrist and I was looking at my hand. All the commotion around me felt more like a buzz not hearing what was going on. I was still stuck in my own head thinking about how I lost control.
“Shut up Wesley.” Draco shouted. His hands ment my shoulders guiding me back to the prefect dorms.
“I never meant for that to happen, Draco. My magic usually does what I want when I want it to. I didn't want that. What's happening?” I began to panic. Draco's arms wrapped around my small frame trying to get my attention.
“I don't know darling, we'll figure it out.”
“Draco you don't understand I've been working all summer from day break to 4 am working overtime for control so I can come back to school and not have to stay there for long. If he finds out he’ll drag me back till war. It can't happen again.” He nodded realizing how scared Y/N really was, she might portray confidence but now that he took a step back from his wallowing and looked at her she's in her own head trying to be just as perfect as he is.
“Darling I have been trying to be perfect my entire life. I will help you. This won't happen again. I'll be here.” she nodded into his chest.
“Now breathe tidy up, we are going back out there our heads held up because we will not have Wesley make us retreat.” She let out a chuckle into his chest but moved to a mirror in their dorm fixing her hair and robes.
“ I am one of the most powerful witches in this generation.” She whispered under her breath looking at herself. She grabbed his hand walking out of the dorm into the great hall, all the eyes turned to the people entering the hall late. She looked toward the Gryffindor table seeing Ron glaring at her with a bandage on his wrist. She smirked following Draco to the Slytherin table to eat. Even though he poker face is on, she's pushing the memory of her losing control away the more she doesnt think about it the more she won't have to explain to him why people are asking why the Weasley was hurt after talking to Y/n.
“Love?’ Draco leaned down to her as they sat to eat, Pansy droning on about god knows what apparently talking to everyone at our table but also no one since everyone else seems to be in a different conversation.
“Yes.” her voice soft breaking out of deep thought.
“After dinner, come to the room with me.” He stopped referring to the room of requirements by its name, scared of people specifically Potter and his noesy bunch hearing. I nodded smiling up at him.
“Please eat.” He pressed his lips to my temple. Squishing my cheeks, my lips pucking her presses his lips on mine. I let out a genuine laugh at him getting out of my head taking my first bite of my dinner and tuning into what Pansy was saying.

So a new idea has popped into my head which I'm sure is not an original idea BUT I do really like the idea I haven't seen this a lot but has anyone thought about the mane 6 and trolls yet?? I tried looking some up ideas and didn't see that much fanart! There's a lot of fanart of the mane 6 with their classpects though ( which I have my own opinions about ) ANYWAY I wanted to give my own take of the mane 6!
Twilit Sparke - Tealblood - Seer of Blood
Twilit was sent by Her Royal Princess to the lower blooded areas to conduct some high blood research. But as she spent more time with the trolls she met she realized she can learn a lot from them and their friendship. Pinkie Pieily - Goldblood - Heir of Hope
Pinkie is a very sociable goldblood who is known for raising the spirits of the low bloods by throwing awesome parties. Though she has a special type of pysoniics which help her sense any danger that could be near. Trolls call this her 'Pinkie sense.' Applee Jackul - Oliveblood - Mage of Heart
AJ is a strong oliveblood who helps guard the low bloods and listens to their issues. She does her best to help them in anyway she can, expressing her truth to those who need it. She's well known for her strength and helping around farm areas. Rainbo Dashie - Cobaltblood - Rogue of Breath
Rainbo is a rambuncious cobaltblood who does what she wants to defy the high bloods. She left her original home in a better part of Alternia to be able to hangout with her low blood friends. If you're in a tough spot she's the troll to call to have your back. Rarity Diamon - Limeblood - Sylph of Space
Rarity is an interesting limeblood, having a fantasy of living the high life as a high blood. To try and fulfill these dreams, she creates outfits that resemble high blood fashion. She isn't afraid to show off her outfits and occasionally rocks them around town.
Fluttr Schiie - Jadeblood - Page of Life
Fluttr is seen as an outcast to the other jadebloods. She doesn't seem to have a natural mothering to the grubs like the others do. Though she tends to interact with the fauna more, being humiliated by the other jades by calling her a dirtblood. Due to this she tends to hang out with low bloods and fauna more, showing them true kindness that she never got.

An unsafe home
Sirius Black x Slytherin!Reader
Requested - A Sirius X reader story where the reader is a Muggle born and a Slytherin. So when the tension of the war gets heavy in the castle she gets attacked by some fellow housemates. Maybe regulus is involved? I don't know. A protective and scared Sirius who just realises how violent things are starting to get even at a "safe place" as Hogwarts.
Warnings - Injuries.
A/N So I went a little overboard here and perhaps it may be rushed in the end. And Regulus has got quite a major role in here. Anyways, hope you enjoy @too-many-unhealthy-obsessions
“Another one,” Remus muttered, grimly as his eyes scanned rapidly over the newspaper, ignoring the minimal amount of food he had on his plate.
Sirius sighed, “Who?”
“A muggle-born,” James read over Remus’ shoulder, discreetly placing two more toasts on his place, “In a muggle town. It's not the worst case, she’s been there to meet her parents, and...all of them,”
Sirius winced, “Enough, Remus,” he gently pried the newspaper off his best friend’s fingers.
“It's growing rapidly,” James whispered, “Dunno what's gonna happen next,”
Peter, who sat next to Sirius, shivered. Noticing that Sirius looked at James, subtly shaking his head, asking him to drop the topic.
“Sirius!” A voice called him, happily. He knew the voice way too well for he has heard them rant for hours in the end and he had listened without a hint of annoyance.
Sirius whipped around to look at you, walking towards him with a wide grin, your green robes contrasting amidst the red and yellow on either side. You were different, you were unique and above all you were his. Sirius loved you, loved you more than anything in this world, after all, he had thousands of reasons why.
“Hello,” You greeted him with a big smile, almost startling him to think of how lucky he is.
Sirius pulled you into his arms, kissing you softly, as though you would break if a speck of dust fell on you, but both you and Sirius knew that wasn't true but completely opposite. Pulling away, he placed his forehead to yours.
“You guys are so cute,” Lily cooed.
Sirius laughed as you buried your head into his shoulder, “I know, Evans,”
“But not as cute as us though,” James said, grinning at Lily, who shook her head with a subtle smile on her face.
“I still don't know how I ended up with you, Potter,” she said, kissing his cheek.
You glanced at Sirius and then at the two of them and back at him, “I know what you are thinking, darling,” He said, and then raised his voice, “You need to stand your point, Evans,”
“Oh, shut it, Black,” she rolled her eyes and then laughed.
“Alright, then, ladies and gentlemen,” You pulled away from Sirius and held the strap of your bag tightly over your shoulder, “Unlike you seventh years, we have some real studies to do,”
“Well, the sixteen year olds nowadays are real arses, arent they?” Remu commented, smirking at you.
You scoffed, “Trust me, Lupin, you haven't been with a thirteen year old for very long,”
Regulus joined you as you walked to your Potions class, “How are you?”
Remus chuckled, “She’s not wrong though,” he said to James.
“What the-?” you chuckled at the sudden choice of question.
“Did you complete the potions assignment Slughorn gave?” Regulus asked, skimming through the parchments in his hand.
“Did you?” you asked. Regulus gritted his teeth and shook his head.
You sighed having a vague idea of what might have taken his time. Smiling, you linked your arm with him, “Slughorn loves you, Reg, so, no worries,”
“Woah, look at that, will you?” a group of students blocked your path, the silver and green ties flashing as the malicious smirk on their faces made the two colours look dirty.
“What's wrong with you Black boys, one hanging out with the same mudblood his brother shags,” A girl in the front said, twisting a piece of hair between her fingers, a nasty smirk on her artificial pink lips.
Before you could react, Regulus had his wand out. “Regulus, no,” You warned, tugging his arm, “Let's leave,”
“Aw, to where?” The girl asked, “To that traitorous disappointing scumbag of a lover you have?”
She struck the nerve and she knew it for she let out a maniacal laughter, pulling out her wand from her robes.
“Stupefy!” “Petrificus totalus!” The two of you yelled simultaneously.
Slytherins behind the girl laughed and giggled watching curses fly off from two ends of two contrasting wands and motives.
A beam of red light flew from yours and the girl - Carie, you heard after one of the Slytherins cheered her - ducked it, hitting the buff boy behind her.
His nostrils flared as he held out his own wand, hurling curses towards you just as Carie did. Regulus raised his wand too, trying to fend them off but another Slytherin kid engaged him in a duel of his own.
You were getting exhausted, struggling to keep up with the hexes thrown towards you. Suddenly, there was a different burst of green light from the tip of someone’s wand, hurling right at you.
The next few minutes were spent in a blur - the green beam hit you right in the chest. You gasped, feeling as though the air was knocked out of your lungs as your head spun rapidly. Struggling with proper balance, you felt your body curve into a graceful arc and sensed the shirt of your school uniform get wet. The vicious dancing black spots took over.
On the opposite end of the castle, Sirius sat in his transfiguration class, doodling on the piece of parchment before him and often glancing over Remus’ shoulder at what he is writing.
Suddenly, a violent shiver ran down his body, a feeling of dread settling on his chest.
“What's wrong?” Remus asked, irritatedly, finally looking up from his parchment.
“I dunno,” Sirius mumbled, taking a deep breath and loosening his tie. Remus glanced at him, concerned one last time before returning to his notes.
Sirius glanced around the room for his friends, James was seated before him with Lily, raking a hand through his messy hair and staring at her while she listened intently to Professor McGonagall, Peter was to Sirius’ left, twisting the quill in his hand.
Sirius rubbed his neck, the restlessness rising within his figure as he shuffled in his seat.
The moment the bell rang, Sirius dashed out of the room, not even caring to take his bag as he rushed down the corridor in search of his brother and you.
He found Regulus first. Unfortunately, his little brother stood right before the hospital wing that did nothing to stop the dread rising in Sirius.
“Reggie,” Sirius gasped, “I mean, uhm, Regulus, have-are you alright?!” He spotted the red blotch on the front of his shirt.
“Yeah,” Regulus breathed.
“Then what's this!?” Sirius asked, panic raising to an unwanted amount.
Regulus took a deep breath and shuddered. He looked around the corridor as if expecting someone to be there, once he realised it was after all deserted, he threw himself into his elder brother’s arms, holding Sirius tightly.
Sirius drew a sharp breath as he uncertainly wrapped his arms around Regulus. He could feel his brother shaking, “Reggie, hey, it's OK, I am here,”
“She-they-(Y/N)-” Regulus stuttered into Sirius’ shoulder.
“What's wrong with her?” Sirius asked hurriedly, pulling away from Regulus, who took a shuddering breath and gulped. He raised his hand, pointing towards the hospital wing.
Sirius looked at the door and then back at little brother, the grip on his arm tightened, “Come with me?”
Regulus’ filled with tears as he slowly shook his head, pushing his brother away he ran.
“Reg-” Sirius watched as his brother disappeared into the corner and clenched his shirt tightly, looking down at it, he realised the red liquid - which resembled so much like blood - was now on his white shirt too.
Wiping his tears, Sirius warily walked to push the door of the infirmary open, afraid of what waited inside for him.
The smell of blood and potions filled his nostrils making him flinch. Sirius looked at the bed around except one crowded with nurses, he hoped his (Y/N) wouldn't be there, he hoped.
“Mr Bl- Sirius?” Madam Pomfrey looked at Sirius, her eyes widened. She rushed to him, “What are you doing here?”
“(Y/N),” Sirius said simply, looking behind her shoulder.
“Sirius,” she placed her hand on his arm, “She is not here,”
“Oh? But Regulus said-” he pointed behind him.
A young nurse rushed towards Madam Pomfrey and whispered to her. She sighed in relief and nodded, “Sirius, she is alright,”
“So she is here?” Sirius asked, hopelessly looking around, his eyes were drawn to the crowded bed however he distracted himself.
“Sirius,” Madam Pomfrey moved to stand before him, her hands on his arms, squeezing with motherly affection. She sighed and looked as though she was contemplating something, “She is here. I will let you see her only if you assure me that you would stay calm, am I clear?”
Sirius nodded rapidly and desperately. Madam Pomfrey took a deep breath and guided him to the farthest bed - the crowded one. He felt the air knocked out of his lungs as he realised that, after all, his hope was squashed into a pulp.
You laid on the bed wrapped in a new robe and the infirmary white sheet pulled up to your chest, nurses by you, checking your pulse and pouring measure potions into goblets. Sirius felt his world crumble as he saw your discarded white blouse, it was drenched with blood, the white colour almost invisible; if he hadn’t known better he would have thought you were simply asleep.
Sirius grabbed whatever was next to him, providing support to his shaking figure. His breath came out in struggled pants. The red stain on his shirt is the love of his life’s blood.
Madam Pomfrey watched as the boy shivered and his knees wobbled as though he would collapse any second. She watched as he blankly stared at the ground, his mind, perhaps, occupied beyond necessary that allowed tears to well in his eyes but not drop.
Sirius drew a deep breath as he stumbled towards you, alerting the nurse who glanced behind him at Madam Pomfrey who shook her head.
He crouched before you, one hand cupping your cheek the other resting on top of your hands that laid on your stomach. With Sirius’ wobbling lip he leaned up to press a gentle kiss to your forehead.
“What happened?” He asked to no one in particular, his eyes still scanning your face.
“We don't know,” Madam Pomfrey answered, honestly, “Regulus had barged in with her, she was unconscious,” and she hurriedly added, “She is alright now,”
“When will she wake up?” he asked.
“Within an hour or so,” Madam Pomfrey muttered.
So, Sirius waited, often heaving deep breaths to calm himself. This was supposed to be his home, where he could be safe and protected, where his loved ones could be safe yet here you were.
Every since “Voldemort” was rising, ever since he ran away from Grimmauld Place, ever since the tension between him and his little brother rose, Sirius just wanted to take you away, away to a place where he knew you would be safe and secure, not a thing can harm you. Just you and him, like a family that he always wanted - protected, protective, safe and loved beyond measure.
“Sirius,” You mumbled, squeezing his hand.
“Puppy,” Sirius whipped his head to look at you, “You alright? What happened?”
Gulping, you pulled Sirius closer, resting your forehead against his. Sirius moved so that he was sat on the edge of the bed, leaning towards you.
“I love you,” You gently whispered. Finally, the tears that were collected in Sirius’ eyes broke free and rolled down his cheeks rapidly.
Before you could react, Sirius smashed his lips to yours in a wet kiss. It was salty from the tears that still leaked from his eyes.
You pulled away first, hurriedly wiping away his tears although it was of no use, “Sirius-”
“I love you,” he took a ragged deep breath, “So much,”
“I love you too, Sirius,” you leaned to kiss his forehead. Wiping the tears from your eyes, you chuckled wetly, “It's OK, I am alright. Nothing is wrong. I am alright, Sirius, look at me”
“You couldn't have been,” a dry sob racked his body, drawing a gasp to tumble from your lips. You pulled him even closer, holding his hands that cupped your cheeks tightly and allowing him to rest his head on the crook of your neck.
“Please, please, it's OK,” you tried to console him.
Sirius pulled away and wiped his tears as you watched him intently. You tried to sit up and to help you, a young nurse was immediately at your side and that's when you realised there were people watching the interaction.
The nurses understanding the situation shuffled away from your bed to others’.
“What happened?” Sirius asked, shifting closer to you after nodding slightly as though asking for permission.
“Just-it was nothing, Sirius,” you mumbled, lying through your teeth and you knew Sirius found out.
“What happened, darling? Please, please, tell me,” Sirius said on the verge of begging.
You looked around using the time to contemplate your options - You could either tell him and refrain him from marching to the Slytherin common room (which would be definitely hard) or you could not tell him which is absolutely not possible.
You took a deep breath, taking Sirius’ hand in yours, holding it tightly, “I just -I-the Slytherins,” you sighed, “A duel, Sirius, and I missed it,”
“A duel!?” Sirius yelled, his forehead scrunched in confusion, “Who!?”
You were silent making Sirius repeat his question this time even insisting that before, “Carie, Carie Travers,”
The rage that painted on Sirius’ face was unlike anything you've seen before. His grey orbs were ablaze with fire and hatred as his body shook.
“Sirius,” you said, worriedly. He gritted his teeth, nose flaring as he stared at the goblet on the bedside table.
He let out a deep breath, composing himself and he nodded, “Travers, isn't it?”
“Sirius…”
“No, no, don't worry, I won't do anything,” he said, frightening calm.
“Sirius, please,” You said but he ignored it.
“How? How did the duel start?” He asked, looking into your eyes, intently.
“Not now, Sirius, please,” you pleaded, not wanting to deal with it now.
Sirius sighed and leaned in to kiss your forehead, “I'm sorry,”
“It's OK,” you uncomfortably wrapped your arms around his torso and Sirius held you for a few minutes before shifting so that he leaned against the headboard and you protectively within his arms.
It wouldn't be OK. Perhaps, worse but not alright, Sirius knew that, of course, he did but he vowed to himself that he would protect you at any cost even if that means he would have to give his life, “I love you, mon amour,”

are you alright? (remus lupin x reader)

a/n: dm or comment to be on taglist
masterlist!
y/n she had two friends, lily evans and severus snape. today was a good example. the trio sat under a tree, discussing their most recently assigned project, as a group of students slowly decended in their direcion. lily groans, watching james rumple his hair and pull out his snitch. y/n looks over at the boy to his right. remus lupin, a quiet, tall, handsome boy whom y/n was quite attracted to, though she would never tell lily or snape this, considering his best friend was arrogant, and bullied snape. remus and you had a moment int he library a week before. you were reaching for a book on pne of the shelves, and couldn’t reach. remus found you struggling and lended a helping hand, with a smile of his face. you blushed and thanked him, before scurring away.
“your staring again” lily whispered. y/n felt her self grow pink as she sucked on her bottom lip, refocusing her attention on her note pad and pen in front of her.
“hey snivellus” james spat, making sirius and all the other people behind the group laugh. snape shifted in his spot uncomfortably. y/n slowly pushed her things into her bag, as did lily so they could get out of there.
“leave him alone james” lily responded. james crosses his arms.
“what are you doing hanging out with the freak, and the veela?” james asked, laughing. lily looks at you, a sad expression spread on her face. you were the first half human half veela witch to ever go to hogwarts, making you the center of bullying by jerks like james potter.
“c-come on severus, let’s go” y/n whispered, standing up.
“awe don’t leave now, we just want to talk. is it true that veela’s arent even human? they just use men for-”
“stop that james!” lily exclaimed. james scoffs, as sirius and peter stand beside him on his left, egging him on. remus stand on his right, on his face was a guilty frown.
“expelliarmus!” james exclaimed, pointing his wand at snape who stood at least ten feet away from the group, and his only two friends.
“snivellus! snivellus!” the crowd began chanting.
“put him down!” y/n exclaimed, only making james send him higher into the air.
“who wants to see me take off snivellus’ trowsers?” james asks the group of random students. the crowd cheered as lily marched towards james.
“stop right now!” she exclaimed.
“alright, ill stop. if you’ll go to hogsmeade with me on a date.” he hissed.
“i think she’d rather go out with the squad in the black lake.” you replied, crossing your arms. lily walked back towards snape, you closely following.
“let us help-” lily begins to tell an embarrased snape.
“no i dont want your help! why would i even want to friends with a mudblood and a stupid veela anyways?” he spat. you felt your heart hurt, as the crowd die down.
“hey, apologize to evans and l/n right now!” sirius exclaimed.
“no, it’s fine. he’s chosen his words and we’ll choose ours. i never want to see you ever again....snivellus” lily said, grabbing your wrist and beginning to walk away. the crowd roared as james made snape go farther into the air.
“merlin y/n, im so sorry” she whispered to you. you shook your head, pushing your h/c hair out of your eyes.
“it’s fine. if people find something different about another individual, their first instinct is to make fun of it. i never expected much less from any of them.” y/n said softly.
“hey! wait up!” you heard a voice yell, you turn around to see remus jogging towards you. you stop in tracks. lily looks at you, smiling.
“ill catch up” you say. lily nods, making her way towards the castle. remus smiles at the shorter girl now standing in front of him.
“hello” he says. she smiles at him.
“hi.” she replies, remus drags a hand thorough his hair.
“sorry about potter he can be uh-”
“a bit of an arrogant git?” you finished. remus smirks.
“yes, an arrogant git is the perfect term” he says. you look down at your arms that are carrying your books.
“are you alright?” the boy asks. y/n sighs, looking up.
“y-yes i’m fine” she says, a weak smile crossing her face. he grins back at her.
“well i was just wondering if you and lily wanted to hang out with james and i” he says. you suck in a breathe.
“he wants to apologize. he is really sorry. sirius wants to meet you too. says you look interesting.” he says. you smile.
“sure, it might take some convincing but i’ll be there” you replied, your eyes darting towards the scar across his eyebrow.
“oh im sorry” you say as he notices you staring.
“it;s alright im used to it-”
“it’s cute” you say, interupting him. he blushes, as you sink your teeth into your bottom lip.
“i should go find lily.” you say quickly remus nods, a smirk still on his face as sirius, peter and james walk up behind.
“hey y/n” black says with a smile.
“hello”
“im sorry about the veela comment. quite rude of me.” james says.
“it’s fine. just stating facts. thank you for sticking up for me and lily.” i reply. james smiles at me, looking at remus, who’s cheeks were still bursting with a deep pink color.
“oi, why is your voice so red?’ james says, remus clears his throat.
“sunburn.” he responds. you smile to yourself.
“well um, i should go find lily. see you later. bye remus.” you said, spinning on your heel, and walking towards lily who was in the far distance, leaving black, pettigre, and potter laughing at remus, who watched you in awe.
“well?’ lily asks, as you finally catch up to her.
“remus invited us to sit with him and potter at dinner, to talk.” i said, a grin on my face. lily smiles softly.
“well, this should be interesting.” she said, wrapping an arm over your shoulder before walking into the the castle, towards your dorm to begin getting ready for dinner with the boys.
over the past couple of months, you and lily had become inseperatable with the boys. sneaking out after hours, eating every meal together, even getting detention together.
“what class so you have next?” i ask remus.
“transfiguiration, and you?” he asks
“just the same.” i answer. remus smiles at me, slipping his hand into mine as he led me to the classroom. as soon we walked in, murmers began to rise. snape stared at our hands in disgust.
we sat down at our desks that were across from one another, as snape approached me.
“may i speak with you?” he asks. i nod, standing up and following him out of the classroom.
“why are you hanging out with him?”
“who? remus? he’s kind to me” the girl chirped. snape’s glare darkened.
“im sorry about what i said. i hope i didnt ruin anything” he mumbled. i stared at him for a moment.
“well, you did ruin our friendship.” i say. snape flares his nostrils.
“besides, you’ve made death eating friends of your own, and quite frankly, i feel bad for you.” i say. snape looks up.
“lily loved you too” i whisper, before entering the class again, taking my seat. snape did not return.
“are you alright?” remus asks. i look up at him.
“im just fine” i whisper. he grins.
“let’s go find everyone else, yeah?” he asks. you nod and follow him to the gryffindor common room. lily reads a book as james and sirius play chess.
“hello sunny!” sirius exclaims, knocking over one of james’ statues. one of the the many nicknames siruis and everyone had given you. you really didn’t understand the nicknames but you didnt mind, if anything it made you feel a sense of pride. you sat beside lily, who smiled at you. remus sat beside you.
“what did snivellus want, sunny?” james asks.
“he apologized and asked why me and lily hung out with you gits.” y/n said. digging through her bag for her copy of frankenstein.
“and what did you say mate?” sirius asked, throwing all of james’ statues off the board.
“i told him im being forced against my will. ahah!” you exclaimed, finally finding your book. james and remus chuckled, as you rested your head onto remus’ shoulder this was normal for you two. everyone just assumed it was innocent, which it felt like to the both of you. inside your heart burned and ached for remus lupin to return his love to you and only you.
remus let you rest on his arm, occasionally resting his head on top of yours, as he wrote his essay for a class you weren’t in.
“what is your essay about?” you asked quietly.
“werewolves.” he answered. you nodded. his eyes diverted down to you, then slwoly back to his paper.
“are we going down or staying here?” sirius asked, referring to dinner.
“you three go, i have to finish helping remus with his essay” you say. the all shrug and head to the great hall. you slowly stood, pulling a confused lupin to your dorm.
“wha-”
“are you okay?” i ask the boy. he looks down at me.
“y-yeah” he answers quietly. you sat both of you on your bed.
“you....you seem upset at me or something.” you mumble.
“no no love im not upset. it’s just.....if i tell you something you promise....you promise you wont hate me? or...or tell anyone?” he says, holding both my hands in his. i nod.
“of course remus.” i say. he looks at our hands before talking.
“im... well, when i was young i was scratched by a were wolf” he says. i nod.
“and, once a month on a full moon, i turn into a werewolf” he whispers. i run his hand with my thumb as he countinues.
“it’s a very painful process, so sirius, peter and james learned the ability of becoming any animal they choose whenever they’d like, to help me through the process and make me less lonely, and prevent me from killing any humans.” he says. he looks up at me. i smile at him.
“it’s not your fault remus, and you are still the same person you were before you told me. ill be around no matter what.” you reassured. he smiled, pulling you into a hug.
“i was just scared to tell you because i really like you, sunny.” he mumbles into your hair. you slowly pull away from the hug, seeing his smile drop in fear. you place your hands on his face, softly pecking his lips. he smiles.
“well i really like you too moony”

is this... angela... bringing in a boy? shock and horror. i can write boys? maybe. anyways here is local trashbag and terrible person, forever a green-eyed monster whos jealous of everyone: damocles. call him dam if you want and if damocles is too long. his profile isnt done yet, but if you wanna hit the heart ill throw him your way. under the cut is his tldr.
( * 💀 / xu kai, cismale, he/him ) — is that damocles zhijie chang i just saw rushing down the corridor? i hear they’re a twenty-one year old ravenclaw, returning for their seventh school year, but their friends would tell you that they are dedicated & studious as well as envious & dissatisifed. if you want to know more about them, i guess i could tell you that they’re pureblood, and from what i hear, they’re currently allying with the death eaters. when our divination professor looks into their crystal ball, they see: patched up leather jacket, tattered jeans with mud stains, cigarette on his breath, half shaved head thrashing to music.
name/nick names: damocles, dam, DZ (what he uses for music)
age: 21
house: ravenclaw
year: seventh
blood status: pureblood
sexuality: pansexual, he’ll put his dick in anything that is of age and consenting.
hobbies: music. hes super into music and guitar. he is that guy with the guitar. will play it unprompted. unusually singing something or writing music
-------------
heres a punk rock trash of a boy. his dad wants to rise up in the english pureblood society and wants his son to marry into a pureblood family to help raise their ranks.
his dad’s a cook in the carry out boom in england. then he moved it into magical london. he’s risen up as new money and now they presented another hurdle of him not being in a sacred family. so, he found a good wife back home and brought her over. to have a pureblood child to try and betroth him into a pureblood line.
he is very arrogant and not exactly a good boy, but if you arent a ‘mutt’ or ‘mudblood’ he is actually kinda cool. he is into music. he is into art.
he expected to be put into slytherin but he is salty as fuck being in ravenclaw. surprise on him, he fits ravenclaw unusually well.
boy has perfect grades, good at quidditch, good at music. too bad his personality fucking sucks.

Hey if you're such an avid drarry shipper why didnt you jump on merula x mc? She acts and is essentially a draco skin walker... you could've created a gryffindor drarry kid to make drarry 2.0
dont ever call merula a draco skinwalker ever again hfshfihf gonna put a read more abt this merula & draco comparison bc i love draco and i know im gonna ramble about him
i dont think shes a draco skinwalker for several reasons, mainly;
draco was a spoilt brat bc his parents gave him everything he wanted. merula’s parents r in azkaban and she pretty much was raised without them during her time at hogwarts. draco’s parents were present throughout his hogwarts schooling
draco has to maintain this snobby persona in school and act like hes better than everyone else bc hes a malfoy...he bullies harry and his friends bc by being better than him/taking his spotlight, it probably warrants his father’s disapproval and imo draco is the kind that seeks validation from his parents, esp his dad...merula doesnt have to upkeep a persona for anyone tbh, her parents are already in azkaban. initially i didnt like her because she had no reason to act all edgy and evil but i realised shes just a kid and shes probably really fucking sad and insecure about her parents and ultimately, herself. the patronus sq (spoiler) where she tells mc shes afraid of not being able to produce a patronus bc of the myth that bad people arent able to cast one?? really touched my heart. the fact that she’s worried abt something like that shows that there’s good in her heart. she also managed to cast it even tho it was non corporeal
draco isnt really given a choice on whether he wants to be on the “dark” side or not....literally never got a say and got shoved into death eater life, tasked to kill dumbledore and had voldermort living in his goddamn house... rlly breaks my heart. imo draco is a bully but theres a fine line between what you call a bully and what you call a murderer, and draco is no killer. draco def had the potential to become a better person.
i think its interesting to see how both kids were written though...i’m really hoping merula gets a redemption arc because draco never got one. it isnt surprising that draco turned out to be a dick because of how he was raised (rich family, blood purity views etc) but since merula’s parents are locked in azkaban and she’s free to act and do whatever she wants, i’m hoping she doesn’t keep up the antagonistic role forever :( i think she has a lot of potential that jamcity isnt capitalizing and it makes me? sad.
as for merula x mc... afaik she doesnt stop being a bully yet and still uses blood purity as an insult (she called ben a mudblood? yikes) i dont particularly enjoy the bully rival love thing even though im a drarry fan and thats the fundamental of their rs LOL...
i dont ship drarry bc for the bully dynamic...like tbh draco using slurs and being abusive to build a relationship?? couldnt be me. i like drarry because i strongly believe that if harry managed to maintain a friendship with draco from the very start, he couldve easily convinced draco to break free from his family and learn to be a better person, draco wouldve learned that blood purity slurs are bad, blood purity isnt important. i think draco needed a genuine friend who could push him in the right direction. and harry wouldve been the perfect guy for that role. draco never had a choice in the series but harry wouldve opened up new choices for him.
ofc i dont mind draco being a snobby elegant prick thats just him LOL... but being a snob and being a racist ass is entirely different.... i only stan redeemed!draco. like do u rlly think harry would like somebody purely bc theyre good looking like in 90% of drarry fics? that shit wack. if u think harry would ever consider dating draco who uses mudblood in his everyday vocab ur wrong. harry would never
TDLR; JAMCITY GIVE MERULA HER REDEMPTION ARC. SHE IS JUST A HURT CHILD THAT’S ACTING OUT. SHE CAN BE GOOD. DON’T SLEEP ON HER POTENTIAL TO IMPROVE LIKE WHAT JK ROWLING DID WITH DRACO.

My Brain When Reading Harry Potter FanFiction while Listening to the Newsies Soundtrack: Ok can someone please write a fanfic where Hogwarts (probably because of Dumbledore or a Defense Teacher or some obscure professor takes the sorting hat’s song about unity far too seriously) ends up preforming Newsies in Harry’s fifth year (Order of the Phoenix)
Draco and Ron end up as Jack and Davey somehow.
Hermione ends up as Kathrine, which absolutely means that Draco is screaming about kissing mudbloods and the professors / directors dont give a damn because ITS IN THE SCRIPT JUST DO IT ALREADY
Euan Abercrombie is Les because he’s the only named first year who is also male
Almost all of 4th-6th year Slytherin is in it as Newsies, mainly because they’re the only house whos parents actually gave them dance lessons as students so they have no problem doing the choreography.
7th years are in charge of music, with the 6th years who arent Newsies, with the exception of the few playing the adults in it.
The 3rd years and younger (exception of Euan) mostly run around as extras and show up for the Strike scene when all the kids are there.
Either Neville or Justin Finch-Fletchy end up as Spot Collins. (the other is understudy or whatever thats called) and no one is really sure how but they pull it off good.
....
My brain after plotting/writing all of that:
screw it i need to write this even if it never goes on fanfiction because i swore off of posting harry potter fandom there until my mental state got back to constant stability and can handle people people bringing up things i wrote that i already explained and asked not to be flared at about because i wrote it during a really bad time mentally.
TUMBLR DO U GUYS WANT A HOGWARTS PREFORMS NEWSIES FIC?

Kachako hp au?
OKAY SO IM NOT AN EXPERT AT HP BUT IM GONNA…. TRY
-Bakugou is Slytherin bc…. he’s a Slytherin
-Uraraka is a Gryffindor bc she wants to be brave and she exhibits that a lot
-they kind of have a Hermoine/Draco vibe going on except Bakugou isn’t as much of a dick (he wouldnt call her a Mudblood to insult her, he would probably keep callin her Round Face)
-Uraraka is really good at getting a rise out of Bakugou bc she’s better than him at certain classes (herbology, charms) and he hates it
-Bakugou likes messing with her, zapping her wand or quill out of her hand during class. Theyve got a sort of rivalry going on
-they start to come to a mutual admiration/crush when Uraraka does get bullied for her ratty robes (she’s kind of like a Weasley in that she’s not wealthy) and called a MudBlood bc he parents arent wizards
#i really tried D:#kacchako#i forgot all my hp knowledge#my DA pals would be disappointed lmao#bnha#aja writes
