My very belated second fill for the MTH 2018 auction! Thank you again morcabre for bidding on me and for being so sweet and patient, and of course for providing such a fun prompt! Really pumped to get this going. Full details and tags are on my prior A03 post, but wanted to add an alternative Tumblr version if that suited some people more. Note this is a work in progress, and while inspired by greek myth, there will be alot of historical inaccuracies

To Have My Time Again, Complete Work

It's been two years since Siberia, and Tony Stark is still dealing with the fallout - personal and political. Life is quite complicated enough, without Bruce falling through a wizards roof yelling that Thanos is coming.

Thor and Loki are stalling, but time is running out. The fate of the universe is at stake. Steve Rogers is back in the picture. Really, the last thing Tony needs is for their plan to go horribly wrong and bring Howard Stark forward in time.

Or so he thinks.

This is the artwork I created for @sordid-details-following in the @marveltrumpshate auction!

They asked for a Bucky/Winter Soldier, which meant I got to try my hand at artsing Bucky, something I had not essayed before.

After HYDRA, Bucky's Sentinel gifts are out of control, and nothing appears capable of helping. He keeps falling into Zones, but none of the Guides that SHIELD continues bringing in are able to form even a superficial bond with him, instead ending up breaking down themselves. The only Guide capable of being around him for longer periods of time is Tony, and Bucky can't help but want, even though he knows an attempt at a bond won't end in anything but pain for the both of them. So he'll keep his distance, no matter how much he wants to get closer.

Tony, in the meantime, longs. But he knows he's no good as a Guide, knows that Bucky deserves so much more than him. So he'll stay away, even when all he wants is to get closer.

My second fill for @marveltrumpshate, for the amazing IgnisAlis. A bit longer than originally planned, but I really enjoyed writing it!

But when he's unfrozen 75 years later, he discovers that neither Steve nor Hydra ever died, his best friend has become the face of a terrible regime, and the rebel Avengers need his help to put the world right again.

Tony just hopes “Steve”, the gorgon who insists accompanying him on his mission doesn’t see the effect he’s starting to have on a certain future bride.
