Oh my god, I love it so much, thanks so much for writing it @urfriendlyneighbornightfury .
I was grinning from beginning to end, with him first catching reader and then the mistletoe. And also reader first only kissing him onto the cheek before the „you missed“ genuinely made me laugh.
I also loved the mentions of other holidays, because while I am not really a „believer“ anymore per se, I still enjoy the holidays for the reasons you mentioned, like family traditions and such. So yeah, thank you again!
Mistletoe Kiss
For @lyaswriting for the Life Day exchange 2024 by @cloneficgiftexchange
I hope you enjoy it
Christmas music played in the background of your little house as you were decorating the living room. Humming along to the music, hanging up some Christmas lights along the window, your thoughts drifted to the thought of the Bad Batch coming to visit. You were excited that they had leave over the holidays, allowing them to spend time with you and their partners.
Well, most had partners. To your luck, Crosshair, your crush, was still single. But you still hadn’t had the courage to confess to the surly sniper.
You were so distracted that you didn’t even notice that the very man you were thinking about had arrived, using the key you had given him to get into your house.
“You’re in a festive mood.”
Hearing the sniper’s soft, serpentine voice startled you, making you let out a small scream of surprise as you fell off the ladder.
Thankfully, Crosshair was standing there, and his quick reflexes managed to keep you from hitting the ground.
“Careful, sarad. Don’t want you getting hurt,” Crosshair said with a smirk as he stared down at you in his arms. The blush that had formed from him catching you deepened as he teased you.
“Well, I wouldn’t have fallen off the ladder if you hadn’t scared me like that,” you huffed as Crosshair set you back on your feet. The sniper chuckled.
“You were so absorbed in your little decorating that you didn’t notice me coming home,” he replied, his amber eyes glittering with mischief. You felt your heart flutter as he called your house home, but you quickly pushed it aside.
“Oh shut it,” you pouted, not being able to find a rebuttal to his words. Crosshair chuckled again, clearly amused.
“Where are your brothers?” You asked as you moved to climb back up the ladder. Crosshair held onto it to keep it from moving.
“They’re with their partners,” Crosshair said, watching you move up the ladder, his gaze drifting down towards your rear. He smirked to himself, but resisted the urge to give it a playful snack. He didn’t want you falling off the ladder again. “So I decided to grace you with my presence.”
“Well, I’m honored,” you said, half-sarcastically, half honestly, missing the way Crosshair rolled his eyes.
The sniper watched you hang up the Christmas lights on the window, momentarily slipping a toothpick into his mouth as he watched you with his sharp eyes.
“Sarad?”
“Yeah?” Even though you didn't know what it was that he called you, you were sure it wasn’t something bad. Especially with the way his brothers reacted— sharing knowing looks and smirks.
“Everyone seems so focused on the holidays, but it seems all so different,” Crosshair said slowly, as if trying to figure out the best way to formulate his question. “Your type of decorations seem to be the most common, but I noticed that others have different…” he trailed off, not knowing exactly how to put it into words. But you knew what he was trying to ask.
“Well, around this time of year, there are many different holidays, depending on the religion. Hunter’s partner and her friends celebrate Yule, a Norse pagan holiday, which you can say is the predecessor of Christmas. Phee celebrates Kwanza, and some of her friends celebrate Hanukkah.”
“And you celebrate this… Christmas, you call it?”
“Yeah, I do. Normally, it’s a celebration of the birth of Earth’s savior, Jesus Christ, but lately it’s more focused on family. I mean, many strong Christian believers will still firmly believe that it’s primarily for Jesus, but our pagan friends put it, the holiday evolves as time progresses,” you explained as you finished putting up the lights, slowly coming back down the ladder.
Crosshair hummed in reply, seemingly deep in thought. You weren’t all too surprised that Crosshair asked you and not Tech, considering the genius clone would go into full depth and detail about the various holidays, infodumping on whichever poor unfortunate soul would be nearby.
Crosshair helped you continue decorating your house, when something caught his attention. A sprig of holly and mistletoe. *That* was something he knew about.
Smirking, he tossed aside his toothpick, picked up the bundle and snuck up behind you. Holding up the holly and mistletoe above the two of you, Crosshair tapped you on the shoulder.
You turned around to face him, and noticed that he was holding something above you. Eyes going up, you blushed as you saw the little bundle of plants he was holding above you.
“I know about this tradition, sarad,” Crosshair purred as your eyes met his. Your blush deepened, but you leaned up and gave him a peck on the cheek.
Crosshair tsked in disapproval. “You missed,” he said, using his free hand to grasp your chin to hold you in place as he pressed his lips against yours.
Your mind short-circuited by his bold move, but your body responded for you, returning the kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck, eyes closing in bliss.
There was a spark between you, that metaphorical one when you found the right person, and it made your heart soar.
After a moment, you both reluctantly parted from each other, but Crosshair rested his forehead against yours.
“Been wanting to do that for a while now,” he murmured, holding your face gently. This surprised you, and Crosshair gave a soft chuckle at the look on your face.
“I call you sarad. It means flower in Mando’a. A pet name. Because I am…” he trailed off, sighed, and murmured “Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum.”
“Cross… I don’t understand Mando’a,” you said softly, but you knew in your heart of hearts what that meant.
“It means that I hold you in my heart forever,” Crosshair translated after a moment of hesitation, which you noticed. So you decided to lighten the mood.
“Forever is a really long time, you know that, right?” You teased, earning a rare smile from him.
“You’re worth it, so I’m not complaining.”
This made your heart soar again. Especially when Crosshair kissed you again to prove his point.

You trust me with Sprinkles?
Kix x Reader baking cookies
Happy Clone Fic Exchange! I got a prompt with cooking/kitchen‬‭ chaos and celebrating holiday traditions, and thought making cookies could be a nice thing to explore. Hope you like it!
Normally you would frown upon the state your kitchen was in, but today you decided to let it slide, simply because of how alive it felt, and somehow you couldn‘t help but think that it might benefit the clone medic standing on the other side of the kitchen counter.
The room smelled of cinnamon, sugar, cocoa and other sweet things, as the dim last rays of sunlight filtered through the windows of your small apartment on Coruscant, making the sugar Kix had previously dropped glisten like a treasure against the counter top. He had a smudge of flour against his cheek, and somehow the forgotten the war raging in the galaxy, in favor of spending a few hours with you.
The distant hum of city life beyond the thick walls was muffled, leaving behind only the sound of soft laughter and quiet focus.
You stood at the counter, sleeves rolled up to your elbows, a smudge of flour also streaking your cheek like a battle mark, as Kix had teased you before. Your hair was pinned back with more hope than precision, and a few stubborn strands had broken free, brushing against your skin, which you tried to push back with your fingers while sorting out the mess on the counter.
You glanced sideways at Kix, who was looking down at a ball of dough with the same intensity and a hint of frustration he usually reserved for when his brothers didn‘t comply with his orders to rest up.
“You’re overthinking it,” you teased, a smile tugging at your lips. “It’s just cookie dough, Kix. Simple cookie dough”
He let out a sigh then, brow furrowing a little deeper and he looked at you almost pleading, however still with a hint of a small smirk. “I’m not sure dough and I are on speaking terms.”
The laugh that escaped you was light then, a sound that seemed to brighten the small room.
You then stepped to this side, and looked down at the ball of dough that Kix had been trying to work into shape for almost ten minutes now.
“Trust me, it’s not that complicated. Just roll it out with a little pressure, like that.” You stepped closer, placing your hands over his on the rolling pin, your fingers steady and warm. Some small sparks went through you, as you tried to ignore the feeling of Kix next to you. You could think about how good his calloused hands felt against yours later, now the cookies come first, you told yourself.
Together, you guided the pin smoothly over the dough, pressing it into an even sheet. “See? You’re a natural.”
Kix’s shoulders loosened, and he smirked, giving you a sidelong glance. “You say that now. Give it five minutes, and you’ll be regretting this.”
“Don’t be so dramatic,” you teased, bumping his arm again. “I usually only regret going drinking with Fives.”
„As you should“, Kix claimed confidently, „I swear I heard him talking about trying to get you wasted next time“
„Bold to assume there will be a next time.“, you answered, with a teasing edge to your voice and Kix smiled.
For a few minutes, the two of you worked in companionable silence. The scrape of the rolling pin against the counter mingled with the occasional rustle of a baking sheet. The awkward hesitance in Kix’s movements gradually gave way to something steadier, more confident. He pressed a star-shaped cookie cutter into the dough, carefully lifting the shape and holding it up for your inspection.
“Like this?” he asked, his eyes meeting yours with a quiet need for reassurance. It was almost adorable, as he looked at you like that. Almost like a little boy who‘d never cut a cookie in his life. But then again, you supposed it was like that in some way.
You leaned in, studying the cut-out star. Your smile softened. “Not bad, Kix. You might not be a hopeless case after all.”
He chuckled, setting the star onto the baking tray. “High praise, coming from you.”
Grinning, you ruffled his slowly growing hair. “Hey, not everyone can master the fine art of cookie cutting on the first try. It’s practically a combat skill.”
Kix shook his head, a reluctant smile playing on his lips. “I think I’ve dealt with battlefield plans from Skywalker with fewer instructions than you’ve given me in the last ten minutes. And walked away every time.”
“Precision matters,” you declared with mock seriousness, lifting a perfectly cut snowflake-shaped piece of dough and placing it carefully on the tray. “Now, watch and learn.”
He leaned his forearms against the counter, eyes glimmering with quiet amusement as he watched you. “I’m watching.”
Rolling your eyes at his teasing tone, you stuck out your tongue before focusing on cutting out a series of hearts. Your hands moved with practiced confidence that was gained from years of making cookies with your family, and for a moment, the world seemed to shrink to the simplicity of dough, cutters, and the warmth of the afternoon sun. Kix watched you, but it wasn’t the cookies that held his attention. It was the way your face softened in concentration, the golden light catching in your hair, making you seem almost ethereal. For someone who had seen too much darkness, this small moment of light felt precious.
When the last batch of cookies had been cut, you handed Kix a small bowl of colorful sprinkles. “Alright, decoration duty. Think you can handle this, soldier?”
He raised an eyebrow, feigning skepticism. “You’re trusting me with sprinkles?”
“Don’t mess it up, and maybe I’ll keep trusting you.”
He laughed, shaking his head, and took the bowl from your hands. Carefully, he sprinkled the red and green sugar over the cookies. His movements were tentative at first, as though one wrong move might shatter the fragile shapes beneath his touch. But as you began to hum a soft, festive tune, he felt himself relax. The ever-present tension in his shoulders—the weight of duty and war—began to ease, if only for a while.
Tray by tray, the cookies transformed under your combined efforts. Some were decorated with meticulous care, others a little less so, but each one held a quiet joy that you both were proud of. They may look a bit messier than usual, but that just made them all the more special.
When the final tray was complete, Kix leaned back, surveying the chaos you’d created together. Flour was strewn over the countertops, and stray sprinkles lay scattered across the floor like tiny, colorful stars. You also hadn’t fared any better you decided then, as you saw your reflection in a window, your clothes full of flour. The trays held cookies of every shape, from perfect to endearingly misshapen.
You wiped your hands on your apron, a proud smile lighting up your face. “We did good.”
Kix nodded, his smile softer now, although with a teasing edge.“I don‘t know, I don‘t think some of them are anatomically correct.“
You snorted at that.“It‘s cookies, Kix. There is no anatomy for coolies.“
„If you say so“, he answered then, putting an arm over your shoulder, pulling you close. It felt peaceful, you realised then as you leaned against Kix and as the air smelled of spices and sweetness. Like times long forgotten amidst the chaos of war.
Kix then looked at you, seemingly sensing your thoughts drifting away.
„What‘s on your mind?“
“Back home,” you said quietly, “my brother and I used to do this every year. No matter how crazy things got, he always made time for it. It made everything feel… normal, you know? Like we could carve out a little bit of happiness, even when the world was falling apart. Nothing mattered then, we were together, and we were happy”
Kix swallowed, a lump forming in his throat. He looked down at the cookie he’d just decorated, the red and green sugar forming a lopsided pattern. “That sounds nice.”
You looked up at him, your eyes shimmering with something you yourself couldn‘t place. “I guess I wanted you to have that, too. Everyone deserves something simple and happy.”
Warmth spread through Kix’s chest, settling deep in his bones. He reached out, his gloved fingers brushing a stray strand of flour-dusted hair from your cheek. His touch lingered, his eyes holding emotions he didn‘t dare voice quite yet.
“Thank you,” he said softly.
Your lips curled into a faint smile. “Don’t go getting all sappy on me now.”
He chuckled, the sound low and warm. “Too late.”
You laughed, the sound genuine and bright, and for a moment, the weight of war and duty melted away. There were no battles to fight, no injuries to mend—just the two of you, side by side in a kitchen that smelled of sugar, cinnamon, and the fragile hope of better days.
“Alright,” you said, breaking the moment with a clap of your hands. “Let’s get these in the oven. And if we burn them, I’m blaming you.”
Kix rolled his eyes, smirking. “Fair enough, I‘ll just give them to Fives then”
Together, you slid the trays into the oven. The heat warmed your faces, a comforting contrast to the chill of the world outside. As the door clicked shut, you leaned against the counter, your shoulder brushing his. Kix stayed close, the quiet joy of the moment filling the space between you. There was still a little smile, a small flicker of a sense of wonder there in his eyes, and you knew, even if these cookies turned out to taste horrible, this small smile on his face made it worth it.

sign ups for the 2024 exchange are officially open, and will continue to be through october 26th!
the faq for the event can be found here and the rules can be found here, and you can find specific information about life day and what it could mean for fic here!
here’s how the exchange will work:
1. Read over this post, reblog it to the blog you want to participate with, and fill out the sign up form linked below!!
When you sign up, you’ll choose which of the clones you would like to receive an xreader fic about. Because this event is random, I require participants to at least be comfortable writing and reading for Rex, so no one gets an assignment they can’t fulfill.
2. The day sign ups end, you will receive two emails from me:
I’ll be using a secret santa website to do the matching, so one email will come from that website, and it will tell you who you will be writing for. I can easily randomize the assignments this way, and it ensures that everyone has a match.
The second email will come from this blog’s event email ([email protected]) and it will have posting information, general information for the participants, and a document of all the prompts. Once you find out from the secret santa website who your person is, you just need to find them on the list to see your prompt and the characters you have the option of writing for.
3. You will have about seven weeks to write your fic, and the word minimum is 800 words. On December 14th (that’s a Saturday), participants will post their fics to tumblr. I’ll send out more details about posting when the event gets closer, so don’t worry about that. I will also put together a list of all the fics when the event is over, which will be linked on the blog’s pinned post with the other past exchanges.
you can sign up here!!
please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! hope to see you in the signups :)

Hey people,
I am currently writing a Star Wars Story that takes place around the time of the Sequels and is divided into three big parts with multiple chapters each.
The focus is on an OC Anabelle Skywalker Solo who is the daughter of Han and Leia. Throughout the story she will have to deal with the aftermath of Ben destroying the Jedi Temple, fitting into the Resistance/finding her place, and will also have to deal with some elements/beings from Legends. Additionally there will also be a love story which will be a giant part of the story with Poe Dameron, which will basically go Childhood Friends -> Mutual Crushes but at different times -> Friends -> One hating the other -> Rivals -> Friends -> everyone knows they‘re in love but them -> Lovers so I wouldn‘t exactly label it as a „slowburn“ but it‘s probably not far off.
Also there will be many OCs but also many known Characters that we know from Rebels or even Clone Wars that have now grown up/gotten older, like Jacen Syndulla.
Some part of that story has been with me for a long time now (since I was 16 in fact, I‘m 22 now) and I was wondering, would anyone want to read something like that?
Because I know many people don‘t like the Sequels but it has also some legends elements as well as some Clone Wars and Rebels References so…
yeah tell me what you think…
Also should I share it, also prepare for lots of bad fan art/concept art that I once made and maybe even 1-3 playlists because like I said in the beginning, this has been a long ongoing project.
Thanks for reading this if you made it to the end, I know it was kinda long so… yeah

A Second Chance
Childe x Female!God!reader Reincarnation AU
Trigger Warnings: Blood, death, no beta we die like Rex Lapis
„I will return to you. Pinky promise.“
The whispered promise still lingered in her mind, where it had been for centuries, as Y/N walked through the park outside of a changed Mondstadt, quickly looking before crossing the street so she wouldn‘t be hit by a car, while taking a sip from her coffee. So she entered the park, that looked like it was a bit of a window into a past she sometimes barely remembered for how long it had been. Yet here she could still sometimes sit down and remember, occasionally still having to defend from a few slimes or other elemental beings, but to Y/N it was worth it, if only for the memories. Y/N had watched, as the times had changed after the fall of Celestia, after visions were no longer necessary to control elemental powers and after humanity decided to take matters into their own hands. She had watched as civilizations had risen and fallen, as people had embarked on journeys greater than they could imagine, as lovers had found their way back to each other, proving themselves that true love does exist.
And yet, Y/N thought, mine is the exception. As her lover had never returned, even though he promised. But he had tried, oh how he had fought to come back to her, but in the end it hadn‘t been enough.
And so, to make peace with the past or to not forget it, she didn‘t really know, she began writing down the stories, and adventures she had seen and lived. And she had written many about her once friends, as she felt each of their stories deserved to be told. And yet, as if to mock her once more, none sold better than the Story about the True Love between the Harbinger and the Goddess of Dreams. Although people often complained about the story having such a grim ending. But that was the harsh truth, that some stories did not have a happy ending.
If she listened into herself she could still remember their first meeting as if it had been merely days ago. She had just awoken from a slumber the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles had put her under, so she had decided to join Aether, the brave outlander, in his cause and traveled the world. That was when she had met the ginger haired Harbinger in Liyue, before the Rite of Descension.
In the Guili Plains she had fought some vishaps that had attacked her, she remembered, and was close to winning the fight, growing confident in her powers, as someone jumped into the middle of the fight, flashing two identical hydro blades, and before she knew it, the vishaps lay dead before them.
„Excuse me, but I had that under control!“, Y/N told the young man a bit rudely, who in return only put away the blades, and turned around slowly, grinning.
„Is that so?“, he said, looking her over before looking at her mildly enraged face.
„Yes. I was testing my fighting abilities, not to mention cutting in, jumping in without asking if I need help is rude.“
„I‘m sorry then. I can see now that you are perfectly capable of handling yourself. Maybe I can take you out to dinner, as an apology?“, he offered, while trying to look guilty, and failing.
„Do you always ask out women this way? Try to charm them after saving their lives?“
„So you do admit I saved your life?“, and he‘d smirked, oh that smirk.
„I did not mean it that way.“
„Of course you didn‘t“
„You didn‘t even tell me your name yet“, she bit back then, which he countered„And you didn‘t give me an answer“
„Fine, if you insist.“
„Perfect, I‘m Ajax by the way.“, he said, a dashing smile on his face, and equally smiling she answered,„Y/N“.
A little smile snuck onto her face, before it faded and she remembered how the whole story had ended. It had been centuries, and yet her heart had not healed. Some people you love so much that they leave a mark behind when they go, Zhongli had once said after the Battle against Celestia, familiar of the pain Y/N felt. And sometimes, he had said, they refuse to leave either, returning one way or another. But that was only wishful thinking, she knew, as she looked down at her hands, still almost seeing the blood that had stained them so long ago.
She‘d found the Harbinger after the battle, but instead of being fine like he promised, there was a gaping wound in his stomach, leaking blood just like the dozens of cuts on his body. His eyes had lighted up at seeing her, even if his smile was more melancholic as she kneeled next to him.
„Hey girlie.“
„What… you‘ll be fine. We‘ll get you to Barbara or Baizhu. You‘ll be fine.“
At that, he raised a hand to cup her cheek, making her look at him.
„Girlie, it‘s too late. Even if you…“, he coughed at this moment, she remembered, and he‘d coughed up blood, „even if they come… I used Foul Legacy for too long… my life is spent.“
„No, no, no… This cannot be. There has to be a way, I‘m a goddess, that has to count for something… I can figure something out, I just need time…“, Tears streamed down her face at this point violently shaking her, as she felt his breathing slow down, his voice raspy, „I wish we‘d have that time. But you, Y/N, were the best thing I could have hoped for. You were my dream.“
„Please don‘t leave me, I can‘t… I can‘t…“
„I will return to you. Pinky promise.“
Those had been the last words the Harbinger had ever said. And since then, every year she had returned to the park, to the same tree he had leaned against in his final moments, as if it could somehow make her feel closer to him.
That was when she heard it in the distance by the lake, fighting noices near the lake.
„If it is those damn hydro slimes again, I swear…“, she muttered under her breath, as she ran to the lake, already summoning her powers in her hand, throwing it at the slimes as soon as she saw them, apparently much to the dismay of their opponent.
„And here I thought I‘d get a little practice, but I guess not…“, the guy muttered.
That voice, that voice she had heard in her own dreams for a few hundred years now. It couldn‘t be, could it?
Y/N turned around, her heart beating so fast she would be scared if she weren‘t a goddess. And there he stood, as if he had never been gone, ginger hair tousled from the fight, hydro blades still in his hands.
„Anything particular you are staring at? Wanna spar perhaps after you destroyed my guinea pigs?“
He still had a playful tone, she noticed, but one look told her, that he didn‘t know who she was. Her heart sank a bit, before she caught herself, nearly laughing at the irony of their meeting.
„I… I‘m sorry, that was rude. I just thought someone might need help again and then I jumped in, completely disregarding your apparent dislike for help… I‘m sorry.“
„Apology accepted.“
„Even though, with those blades you wouldn‘t have gotten far against them, you know that right? Hydro vs Hydro and all.“
„Opinion noted.“
She laughed at that, an idea forming in her head.
„Opinion? You‘re welcome. But if you insist, may I take you out on dinner, to make it up?“
He studied her then, something seemingly pulling him in.
„I‘m sorry, I didn‘t get your name, did I? I‘m Ajax.“, and with that he stretched out his hand to her, which she shook, and smiled.
„I‘m Y/N“.
Ajax paused for a second, a feeling gnawing at him, as if he should remember something he doesn‘t, it was easy to read for Y/N, after all she had known him once before.
„Have we met once before?“, he asked, staring at her curiously.
„We kind of did. But I think you wouldn‘t believe me if I told you, it‘s apparently kind of a neverending story…“, she answered truthfully, looking into his blue eyes, full of life this time, and more mesmerizing than ever.
„Try me“, he said then, „maybe at that dinner you offered?“
And he smirked, oh that smirk.
And Y/N smiled too.
Maybe Zhongli had been right, that some people are bound to each other, and maybe Ajax had kept his promise too, he had found a way to return to Y/N.

How the Genshin Boys act when you‘re sick:
Childe: Would take days off work and become your number one househusband. Whatever you need, he gets you and he also makes you some soup after his mothers recipees.
Diluc: Would go totally overboard worrying. Would get the best doctors in Mondstadt for you to make sure you get well again soon and even take a few days off of work to make sure you‘re well cared for.
Kaeya: Would not make as much of a fuss about it as his brother, but still make sure you’re taken care of. He‘d get you medicine and tea and basically everything you‘re asking for. He‘d even cuddle you and (of course) get sick himself afterwards.
Xiao: Now Xiao doesn‘t know much about the mortal body, so he will completely freak out. Good thing is though, that he can not get sick so if you can get him to cuddle with you, expect him not to leave your side.
Albedo: Literally the best doctor you could ask for. He would make you remedies and take care you the best way possible, making sure you‘re warm and staying hydrated. And once you‘re healed again he will spend a lot of time with you.

A Harbinger and a Demigoddess
Childe x Reader
Trigger Warnings: Torture, experiments on humans
It would be an understatement to say that (y/n)s life had ever been easy, or that she had lived a normal life in the first place. However the situation she had found herself in now, was far more dangerous than ever before.
Turns out Yae Miko had been right when she had said it would be wrong to search for the Harbinger after he had left Inazuma.
She had been naive to think she could just walk into Snezhnaya and find him…
And now, she would pay for her mistakes, she realised, as she was led into a frozen cell underneath Zapolynary palace.
Tears sprung to her eyes as she realised how he had stood there, completely still, as she was dragged infront the Tsaritsa herself by another Harbinger… Dottore had been his name she believed.
But it didn‘t matter now anyway, because her Harbinger, her Ajax, hadn‘t made any move to help her as the Tsaritsa had given Dottore the permission to conduct some experiments upon the demigoddess as long as he got rid of her in the end.
And here she was now, shoved into a cell beneath the castle, more a cage, inside Dottore‘s labratory. The mad scientist himself only got closer after he was sure she couldn‘t escape…
Dottore: What shall I do with you, princess? It has been a long time since I‘ve had someone like you to study…
(Y/N): Let me go.
Dottore: You heard the Tsaritsa. You will never leave. In fact I believe your mother doesn‘t even know you‘re here…
(Y/N): My mother is an archon…
Dottore: Who only cares about her eternity. If she knew you were gone, she would have attacked already…
(Y/N): We‘ll see…
Her mother and Yae had to come, they had to… otherwise… nobody would come for her, she realised… Ajax… no Tartaglia had let her be taken in the first place.
Dottore: A broken heart I see… I have to admit, I expected Tartaglia to come and help you. But it turns out he might have not really loved you after all… Or maybe not enough at least…
/He only smiled before opening some sort of vent and leaving his lab… Breathing became harder by the second, as (Y/N) thrashed in her chains but to no avail
The next time she awoke, she was strapped down to a table, some needles coming out of her arms
(Y/N): What did you do to me?
Dottore: I weakened you. As much as I like my playthings to fight back, I won‘t take that chance with an archons daughter. Now tell me, how much pain can you gods endure…
/Just as he finished his sentence, (Y/N) saw some liquid enter her body through the needles, before a tingling sensation overcame her body… Soon however the tingling turned into itching, until it turned into burning… It felt as though her body burnt from the inside.
She wanted to scream as tears sprung into her eyes, but the breath was knocked from her lungs so only small sobs escaped her… How long it took she didn‘t know, fading in and out of consciousness repeatedly before it finally stopped.
Dottore: That was underwhelming… I expected more from an archons daughter…
(Y/N): Please…
Dottore: Take her back to her cell, will you. I need to finish writing this down.
/An agent came to undo her bindings…
/This was her chance, something inside of her whispered
/You could fight him and run away
/But she knew her body couldn‘t handle it, and so she kept saying down,
Agent: Stand up…
(Y/N): I can‘t…
Agent: Stand up…
/(Y/N) tried to force herself, but as soon as she tried to stand, her knees buckled underneath her, which led the agent to grabbing her by the hair and drag her back to her cage… But she didn‘t scream either, her whole body still numb from before…
/The agent didn‘t even bother to fasten her to the wall, instead only securing her hands to a chain on the ground before he left together with Dottore
/Afterwards, she blacked out
/Childe hadn‘t been able to think clearly since the moment Dottore had led her into the throne room… It had taken him every bit of constraint he had to keep quiet and not show how much he cared… He knew it would be stupid to do something now. Even though he loved battles, he was well aware he would never have a chance in beating all the other harbingers, and the Tsaritsa
/And so he waited, even though it pained him, he waited until he knew Dottore was out of his lab to sneak down…
/But as soon as he saw her broken form on the ground, he easily regret every second…
/The way her damp and bloodied hair stuck to her forehead, the way her face looked puffy with dried tears and her body… the way she lay there… she looked like a corpse
/was she… instantly he checked her pulse, finding she was still alive, although barely…
/He had to get her out of there, no matter the cost, he had to get her out… somewhere safe… Inazuma… The only reasonable place would be Inazuma… they would protect their princess, he knew it… and only the thought of living with her in Inazuma… he could be happy, he realised… if she still wanted him of course
/But first he had to get her out of there…
/Carefully he removed the chains from her bruised wrists, before taking her shivering form in his arms
/The next time (Y/N) woke up was on a ship… She easily recognized the smell of the ocean breeze and the movements of the ship before she even opened her eyes
/This surprised her however, considering the last memory she had she was in a cage in Dottore‘s lab…
/Now she heard a voice that sounded exhausted, talking about something… No, reading something, a fairy tale, she realised
/Slowly she opened her eyes however, to find something that surprised her even more: A ginger haired Harbinger at her side, who had a book in his hands, from which he read aloud…
/She moved a bit, trying to get rid of the massive ache in her body, as he suddenly stopped reading…
Childe: Hey girlie, you‘re finally awake… How are you feeling?
(Y/N): What happened? How am I… here…
Childe: I got you out… I also left the harbingers so…
(Y/N): Why?
Childe: I couldn‘t see you getting hurt… You‘re far too precious to me…
(Y/N): So where…
Childe: Inazuma… I‘m getting you home.
(Y/N): Thank you…
Childe: You‘re welcome, girlie… Do you need anything? Help with anything or…
(Y/N): I‘m just glad you came for me… I thought you‘d given up on me.
Childe: Never gonna happen. Especially since I intend to stay as well… I was thinking… I could start fishing in Inazuma, or do commisions or something, so…
(Y/N): Not necessary… Just stay with me… Although, you‘ll have to meet my mum, and auntie Yae…
Childe: I‘m good as dead, am I not?
(Y/N): They‘ll let you live… Because I love you.
Childe: I think I might even love you more.

Let Love Win Part 2
Diluc x Reader Cinderella AU featuring Fairy Godmother Kaeya
Hey guys, sorry that it took me so long to get this part out. I‘ve been a little stressed out with work the last few weeks and there were some private matters as well.
Kaeya: Come on, we need to hurry…
Y/N: When did she leave?
Kaeya: We can still make it. Or rather, you can… I‘ll stall her, go!
/Kaeya then sees Donna come around the corner
Kaeya: Go!
/ Y/N nods and leaves quickly, managing to manouver around the streets to her home, and quickly changed clothes, also letting her hair down hastily and searches for her necklace, as Donna walks in through the door
Donna: I swear to Barbatos, if you don‘t leave me alone, I will tell the knights!
Kaeya: Now where would the fun be in that? At least let me see Y/N…
Donna: Fine…
/Donna opens the door a bit and lets him in
Y/N: Can you cue me in on what‘s going on? Did you have fun?
Donna: Fun? It was an absolute disaster!
Y/N: What happened?
Donna: Some girl had the audacity to turn up, and snatch Diluc away the whole night! I had no chance!
Y/N: Sounds interesting. Did you know her?
Donna: That‘s the problem, I didn‘t! Who does she think she is!?
Y/N: Maybe it was only a one time thing?
Kaeya: Oh be assured he was quite smitten.
/At that Kaeya smiles a little amused
Donna: Out! Out with you, now!
Kaeya: What did I do?
Donna: Out!
/ Kaeya now just puts up his hands in defense, as Donna drags him to the door, nearly throwing him out
Kaeya: See you on Patrol tomorrow, Y/N.
Y/N: See you.
/And then Donna closes the door
Donna: I swear if I find her, I will…
Y/N: But is he really worth all that drama?
Donna: If he‘s worth it? He‘s handsome, he‘s rich, of course he‘s worth it!
Y/N: Alright… I‘m out of here, I guess.
Donna: Wait, stay.
/Y/N turns around again
Donna: Thank you for the dress.
Y/N: You‘re welcome, I guess.
/And after that, Y/N leaves to her room, a
small smile adorning her face after she closed the door
/This however faded quickly, as she searched for her necklace once more, not finding it
Y/N: Great…
/The next morning, she woke up quite early to get ready for her patrol with Kaeya
Kaeya: Did you sleep well? Had some nice dreams? I‘m sure you slept quite well fantasizing about my dearest brother.
Y/N: You are absolutely insufferable.
Kaeya: You wound me. I help you meet the guy of my dreams and pretend to flirt with Donna so you can get away, just for you to insult me.
Y/N: You‘ll get over it, and to answer your question, yes I did sleep good tonight. Although I‘m still pissed I lost my necklace.
Kaeya: What? When?
Y/N: I don‘t know, that‘s the problem… It‘s the only thing I have left of my mother, Kaeya…
Kaeya: We can look for it while we‘re on patrol. And at least you had an interesting evening…
Y/N: Kaeya.
/Kaeya only smirks at that, as they start their patrol route
Kaeya: Now the only thing missing is for one of you to confess.
Y/N: What?
Kaeya: Come on, you like him, he likes you, just confess and put me out of my misery.
Y/N: It‘s not that easy.
Kaeya: Because of Donna?
Y/N: I don‘t want to be murdered in my sleep.
Kaeya: She wouldn‘t really…
/Y/N only shoots him a pointed look
Kaeya: Ok you‘re right she would. Still, you need to tell him. You‘ve both been pining for each other for forever.
Y/N: He can‘t be seriously into me if he didn‘t even recognize me with a mask on, Kaeya!
Kaeya: Be a little patient with him, he‘s probably only a little confused. And I know he‘s gonna bug me until he knows it.
Y/N: Then tell him she isn‘t interested, as long as he doesn‘t find out her true identity himself. As much as I love him… If he only wants the image of me that he has seen at the party and not… me… then I don‘t want that relationship.
Kaeya: Come on, Y/N. Like I know him, he‘s not gonna let loose until he finds you.
Diluc: Until who finds you?
/Both Kaeya and Y/N turn around, muttering curses under their breaths
Kaeya: Oh our dearest Y/N had a date yesterday.
/Diluc raises his eyebrow interestedly, otherwise not showing any feelings
Diluc: Did you now?
Y/N: Yes, but I couldn‘t go, so… apparently the guy I was supposed to meet doesn‘t let it go easily.
/Diluc nods, his features once more not showing any kind of emotion towards what he has heard
Diluc: I actually wanted to talk to you Kaeya. The girl you set me up with… I need to meet her again.
/Kaeya only smirks to Y/N, as if to tell her „told you so“ who shakes her head lightly so it‘s barely noticable
Kaeya: About that… She talked to me afterwards.
Diluc: Spit it out Kaeya.
Kaeya: I think the girl was quite… sad actually that you didn‘t recognize her.
Diluc: Please don‘t tell me that…
Kaeya: But she agreed to meet you…
/Diluc let‘s out a reliefed sigh
Kaeya: On the condition that you figure out who she is yourself.
Diluc: You can‘t be serious…
Kaeya: I‘m afraid that it‘s not my place to make decisions like that. But hey, you‘re a clever lad, at least sometimes, I‘m sure you‘ll figure it out.
Diluc: I would, although I have something I‘d like to give back to her. She lost her necklace as she left.
/ Y/N can‘t believe it as he takes it out, and of course, it‘s her necklace
Kaeya: Well then, looks like you have somewhere to start. Now if you excuse us, we have to continue patrolling. Have a nice day, brother.
Y/N: Goodbye Diluc.
Diluc: Goodbye, Y/N. Kaeya.
/Kaeya then only smirks and drags Y/N with him forward
Y/N: What was that?
Kaeya: Now you can‘t run away forever. Either he finds you, or you tell him. Otherwise I‘m afraid you won‘t get that necklace back. I thought it was quite clever…
Y/N: You‘re truly insufferable, Kaeya.
Kaeya: And you‘re welcome.

The Genshin Men‘s Favourite Way to spend a free day with you
Childe: Now it wasn‘t often that Childe would get a free day, but if he did, he‘d spend it all with you. Now there‘s two options how this would go: Option One, he would take you out somewhere extravagant and spoil you completely rotten. No matter if you didn‘t even say you want it, it‘s yours. Option Two, he‘d transform into number one house husband. He‘d cook meals from his hometown for you and spend much time searching for physical contact.
Kaeya: I think Kaeya would spend most of his free days with you just casually relaxing. I could totally see him just sleeping in and pulling you back to bed if you try to leave before just having a really relaxing day, maybe having a picnic somewhere near Windrise.
Albedo: Albedo doesn‘t take days off, ever. The only way he‘ll take days off is if either of you are sick, and since he can‘t exactly get sick, that leaves you. If this happens though, expect him to hover around you and constantly make sure you‘re ok.
Diluc: Now if Diluc has a free day, that means he spends the whole day with you. Normally between protecting Mondstadt and running Teyvat‘s most successful business, he doesn‘t have much time to relax. If he has though, he sends all his staff away, making it so he spends the day solely with you and no one else. He‘d even get up and try to prepare breakfast himself.

Let love win Part 1
Cinderella Au
Diluc x Reader featuring Fairy Godmother Kaeya
Trigger Warning: Toxic Family Members
„I don‘t know if that‘s a good idea, Kaeya. I mean, he hates us knights. What if he finds out?“, Y/N asked Kaeya, who had made plans above plans to finally get her to make a move on her crush.
In the beginning, Kaeya might have thought it to be a joke that his best friend had fallen for no one but his adoptive brother, who happened to hate him, but after a while he had grown accustomed to the idea and realised, they would look good together. Especially once he realised that, although Y/N was a knight, Diluc had taken a liking to her, as it had given him the opportunity to tease not only one, but both of them.
And so he had begun playing matchmaker, convincing Jean to change Mondstadt‘s yearly ball to a masquerade ball, and convincing Y/N to set up a date for her. While in the beginning she had not been too fond of the idea, Y/N had agreed after Kaeya had pestered her on ends.
Convincing Diluc had been easier, as Diluc had given in after Kaeya had agreed not to pester him for a whole month. So now, they just had to meet at the ball and realise they get along great, right?
Wrong.
The day of the ball Y/N had been running around looking… anxious to say the least. What if something went wrong? What if her date didn‘t like what he saw, and even worse, what if Diluc saw her talking to her date?
There were so many things that could go wrong…
Kaeya: Come on, Y/N. Everything will be fine.
Y/N: At least tell me if I know the person… That way I might freak out less.
Kaeya: You do know him. Does that make it better or worse?
Y/N: I don‘t know yet… ask me later…
/Kaeya only smirks, until he hears a voice scream at her from downstairs
„Y/N, where are you? Come here!“, the voice screams.
Y/N: And it starts again…
Kaeya: You sure you don‘t move in with me?
Y/N: And see you turn up every evening with another woman? No thank you.
Kaeya: Excuse me my favourite collegue, it wounds me you would think this way of me. For all we know I‘m number one for everyone‘s favourite son in law in Mondstadt.
Y/N: Voted by the elderly population who don‘t know about your shenanigans.
Kaeya: Fair point.
Donna: Y/N!
Kaeya: Why do you let her treat you this way?
Y/N: She‘s my only family left.
Kaeya: Being family doesn‘t excuse shitty behaviour, trust me, I speak from
experience.
Y/N: Wish me luck.
/And then, Y/N walked downstairs only to see Donna standing there, her dress for the ball in hand
Y/N: Hey, why do you have my dress?
Donna: Oh that was yours? I‘m decided to wear it to the ball tonight. It has just the right colour to match Diluc‘s hair. Surely he will notice me when I wear it.
Y/N: It‘s mine.
Donna: Oh come on, you‘re a knight, shouldn‘t you be patrolling the city or something?
Y/N: Jean gave me the night off, and I have a date, so give me my dress…
Donna: Not a chance, unless of course you want me to spread rumors about you and the cavalry captain.
Y/N: What?
Donna: You and Sir Kaeya spend awfully much time together.
Y/N: We‘re just friends.
Donna: But what will the rest of Mondstadt see? Stay out of my way tonight, even better stay away from the ball and I‘ll keep quiet.
/And with that Donna leaves, taking the dress with her, as she hears footsteps coming down the stairs
Y/N: This wasn‘t really happening, was it?
Kaeya: It was…
Y/N: This is terrible… I‘ll have to skip…
Kaeya: You really want to let Donna run all over you like this?
Y/N: You heard her!
Kaeya: This is a masquerade ball, Y/N. She can‘t do anything if she doesn‘t recognize you.
Y/N: I don‘t even have a dress, Kaeya.
Kaeya: Let me handle it. Meet me here in one hour.
Y/N: Kaeya…
Kaeya: Trust me…
Y/N: Alright.
Kaeya only grins, and true to this word, returns one hour later with a beautiful red and white dress, and a fitting mask as well.
Y/N: Kaeya, where did you get that?
Kaeya: I need to keep a few secrets, now come
on. We‘re running late.
Y/N: Thank you. Thank you, Kaeya.
Kaeya: Go get ready…
And so she did… and the way she looked… Y/N had outdone herself, leaving her long hair nearly untouched, except for a small braid on one side of the face, where a windwheel aster was placed.
The dress itself, she had to admit, fit perfectly. She was honestly at loss for words. How comes, that that Kaeya always got this stuff?
Kaeya: My, if I didn‘t know you have a date, I might also try to get a dance with you. You look stunning.
Y/N: Thank you, Kaeya… Really. For the dress, for the compliment, for sticking up for me…
Kaeya: You don‘t have to thank me for being your friend, Y/N. Although I have one more thing for you…
/And with that he pulls a box out from behind him
Y/N: Kaeya, what is that?
Kaeya: Open it…
/And indeed, in it was a mask that perfectly fit her dress, another windwheel aster placed on it.
Kaeya: It is a masquerade ball after all…
Y/N: Kaeya…
Kaeya: Now come on, we don‘t want to be late…
Y/N: We are already late.
Kaeya: Yes, but fashionably so. You coming?
Y/N: Alright…
The moment they arrived in the halls of the favonius headquarters that night, Y/N almost contemplated at the ball room full of people.
Y/N: Tell me again, who did you get me a date with?
Kaeya: Now where would the surprise be if I told you?
Y/N: And how am I supposed to find him if you don‘t tell me?
Kaeya: Easy… Remember the mask I gave you?
Y/N: Yes?
Kaeya: Your date has a matching one… Little hint, search for the windwheel asters. And now, have fun…
Y/n wanted to turn around to retort something, but found that Kaeya was already gone.
Y/N: Great… just great… Windwheel Asters… alright…
And so Y/N set out, trying not to seem as if she was searching for someone while she was looking for windwheel asters. She thought she had caught a glimpse of a windwheel aster once, but it turned out to have been some other flower.
Voice: I take it you‘re the one Kaeya convinced me to meet tonight.
Y/N turned around… that voice… Kaeya wouldn‘t really…
Y/N: Diluc?
Diluc: Yeah, I guess the mask doesn‘t really do much to hide the fact that it‘s me.
Y/N: Not really… this… this might have been a mistake…
Diluc: You sound disappointed. I have to agree that I haven‘t been the biggest fan of Kaeya‘s plan, but I didn‘t expect you to run out on me without even introducing yourself.
Y/N halted in her steps, turning around again.
Y/N: Don‘t you recognize me?
Diluc: I‘m afraid not… I‘m sorry to disappoint you. You seem surprised.
Y/N: I mean… I knew I did a great job with the dress and everything today but I didn‘t think it would go so far that you don‘t recognize me.
Diluc: Now you‘ve piqued my curiosity. Who are you?
Y/N: I don‘t think I should tell you… I‘m here kinda in secret so…
Diluc: Have you snuck away from something?
Y/N: Try someone.
Y/N couldn‘t notice that Diluc looked almost… concerned.
Diluc: Tell me who the man is and he‘ll be dealt with…
Y/N: No, it‘s no guy… Just… a narcisstic selfish sister… who stole my dress and threatened to tell the whole town I had a thing with Kaeya should she find me here, so…
Diluc: If there‘s anything…
Y/N: I‘ll be fine… She‘s the only family I have. But I‘m afraid no one tonight can know my identity.
Diluc: I understand you can‘t tell me. How about a dance then?
Y/N: Alright…
And so he smiled, holding out a hand, which she gladly took. Diluc led her to the dance floor, careful to not draw the glances of others as they began swaying gently to the music.
Diluc: It pains me that I can‘t seem to figure out who you are. Are you sure I‘ve seen you before?
Y/N: Plenty of times, trust me. I mean, I lived in Mondstadt all my life.
Diluc: I can‘t believe I don‘t recognize you.
Y/N: Seems like you never paid me enough attention to recognize me then…
Diluc: Then let‘s change that…
Y/N: What?
Diluc: Tell me about yourself… If you prefer not to do it here, then let’s do it somewhere private… but I really want to get to know you…
Y/N: Alright…
And so they left the crown, searching for a quiet place to talk and ending up chatting the night away, talking about her interests, about their lives.
Diluc: Ok, I have to know who you are. If I find out who you are, would you tell me if I‘m right…?
Y/N: Diluc, I… fine.
Diluc: How many questions do I get?
Y/N: 4.
Diluc: 4 Questions? I take what I can get… Ok, first question: Do you visit Angels Share often?
Y/N: I wouldn‘t say so… Why?
Diluc: Because that means I don‘t know you from there. Next question: If I were to ask you to either a fancy dinner at goodhunters, or a walk to Windrise, what would you choose?
Y/N: Windrise.
Diluc: And if…
/But before he could finish his sentence, someone came and interrupted.
Kaeya: Here you are, we have a problem.
Y/N: What do you mean, I…
Kaeya: Someone had a tantrum and went home…
Y/N: I‘m dead… I‘m dead…
Kaeya: We need to go.
Y/N only nodded and stood up, following Kaeya.
Diluc: Hold on, wait…
Kaeya: Diluc, I promise we will explain, but not now…

Headcanons Favorite Holidays Genshin Men:
Childe: Christmas
Childe‘s favourite holiday would definitely be Christmas. We all know he‘s a big family person, and that he‘s quite loaded. So Christmas gives him a great opportunity to spend that money on the people he actually loves and spend some quality time with his siblings, whether it be telling them tales of foreign lands he has visited, or joining them in a Snowball Fight in Snezhnaya‘s cold weather.
Albedo: Eastern
Now I think Albedo didn‘t have a favourite Holiday for a long time, until Klee begged him to go easter egg hunting with him. Even though he wanted to, he just couldn‘t tell Klee that the easter bunny actually isn‘t real after seeing how happy she is. And even though he didn‘t believe in the whole story, Albedo had much fun with the easter egg hunt itself, as he was able to predict where most of the hidden treasures were located. And the smile on Klee‘s face made it even better.
Kaeya: Valentines Day
Now I think this is a pretty obvious choice, as Kaeya loves to flirt, like a lot. And when does he get a better opportunity for that than on Valentine‘s day? He just enjoys making plans and going on really romantic dates if he is interested in someone, and if not, I think he‘d be the type of guy to send people anonymous flowers so no one feels left out. Also, he likes to use the opportunity to send Donna something in Diluc‘s name, if only to cause some trouble for his adoptive brother.
Diluc: Summer Holiday
Now this one was a little tricky, since there is no holiday I can see Diluc really celebrate, but I came to the conclusion that Diluc likes any type of Holiday that takes place in the summer, especially bonfires. I think he likes to see the people enjoy their time together and relax in the warm temperatures, sitting the fire. I think the little children running around carefree, playing games of Knights and Villains remind him of simpler times and he can‘t help but smile a little.
Xiao: Halloween
At first, Xiao was no fan of Halloween, he even called it a holiday worshipping evil ghosts. However his mind changed, since he discovered that apparently the people dress up at Halloween, which leads to them not fearing the Yaksha anymore. On the contrary, he got many compliments for his accurate costume. In the beginning, he was a little annoyed at that, but since he saw the little children not run away from him for once, he secretly became very fond of the holiday.

How the Genshin Boys React to you returning from a long commission
Genre: Genshin Boys Headcanons feat. Diluc, Xiao, Childe
Trigger Warning: None, mention of fighting
Diluc: Diluc tries to act as though it doesn‘t bother him that you‘ve been gone, especially in front of the knights, as he fears being teased by Kaeya (which happens anyway), but as soon as you walk through the door and all of Dawn Winerys Staff is gone, you can bet he is all over you. That man is touch starved, so prepared to be smothered with affection, and maybe show him some in return.
Xiao: Honestly, Xiao doesn‘t bother too much because he can hear if you are ok wherever in Teyvat you are, thanks to his adepti abilities. Still, when you return to him, prepare to be shown some affection. While it might not be physical affection because he is afraid of corrupting you, you can expect him to at least have some Almond Tofu prepared for you.
Childe: This boy would not be himself the whole time you were gone, and he wouldn‘t even try to hide it. He would be especially itching for a fight, even daring his fellow Harbingers to fight him to somehow distract him enough to forget about worrying about you for a second. As soon as you return home, don‘t expect to get rid of him any time soon. Also, you need anything? Bandages? He can bandage you up. Food? He‘ll get you the best food he can get, or even cook you something himself. Honestly, ask for it, and it will be yours.

All it takes is True Love‘s Kiss
Genre: Xiao x Adeptus!reader
Summary: After the abyss order attacked Y/N with a sleeping potion she doesn‘t seem to wake up. After asking Liyue‘s Ex Archon for help there seems to be only one way: True Loves Kiss can wake her. Also Features Number #1 Xiao and Reader Shipper Ganyu.
Trigger Warnings: mentions of death, protective Xiao, Screaming
Xiao hadn‘t even really registered what was happening until it was too late. Had he realised something was wrong maybe a second sooner, he could have prevented it, but he was too late.
He was just in time to catch Y/N, but her body already wasn‘t moving, her eyes closed and her breathing very slow. How in Teyvat could this have happened?
Xiao clung to her desperately as tears slipped from his eyes. She was his best friend, she was supposed to be by his side.
Y/N had been with him since the day he had become an adeptus after Morax had saved him. She had shown Xiao what the world, what Liyue had to offer. She had even been the one to introduce him to Almond Tofu.
He couldn’t understand how he could have been so blinded by the battle not to notice the Abyss Herald drop something onto Y/N. Xiao had managed to get rid of the dust, but not fast enough, as Y/N had dropped straight into his arms, not moving.
Afterwards, he had gotten rid of all the enemies in an instant, the other adepti shocked as well, as they saw the Vigilant Yaksha cradleing Y/N‘s lifeless body, crying for help.
„Cloud Retainer! Mountain Shaper! Anyone, please…
He barely even registered them talking to him, only focused on Y/N.
„One has to take her to Jueyun Karst to determine what happened. And one needs an old collegue. Ganyu, you know who to get.“, Cloud Retainer said.
Ganyu only nodded, instantly getting on the way to Liyue Harbor while Xiao stayed next to Y/N, refusing to let her go.
„Xiao, you need to let her go so one can take her to Jueyun Karst. She needs to go to her Abode to regenerate.“
„I‘ll bring her myself“
„Xiao“, Mountain Shaper tried to intervene but realised it was to no use.
„I said I‘ll bring her there myself“, he screamed, leaving his fellow adepti shocked, although he could feel something else in their gaze, pity…
But he didn‘t care, he couldn‘t let her go. Letting go of her would feel like giving up part of himself as well. He couldn‘t lose something else.
Three days had gone by since Y/N had fallen into this deep sleep, and Xiao hadn‘t left her side just like Y/N hadn‘t even stirred in her sleep despite Cloud Retainers efforts.
The Adepti had worked day and night, but it had been no use, as they couldn‘t even find out what exactly had hit Y/N. The only option, Cloud Retainer, had claimed would be to wait for Ganyu to return with Morax, as he, even mortal now, still had 6000 years of experiences.
Just as Xiao had contemplated to go looking for them, they had entered the abode.
„What took you so long?“
„He‘s mortal now, Xiao. Travelling takes time.“
But Xiao didn‘t care, after all Y/N‘s life was on the line. Morax seemed to realize as well and came closer, inspecting her sleeping form.
„And you say she was hit by some sort of smoke?“, the Ex Archon inquired, to which Xiao nodded.
„Then there is not much I can do.“
„What do you mean there…“
„Let me finish, Xiao. The smoke she was hit with is a potion to induce deathlike sleep. It was created in Khaenria‘h to take us archons out of the fight, though it never was used against us.“
„But there has to be a cure…“, the yaksha intervened once more.
„There is. The one used in most fairy tales in fact. It can only be reversed through something the people call True Love‘s kiss.“
It cannot be, Xiao thought, I cannot lose her like this…
„There has to be another way!“, Xiao exclaimed, furious with the hand fate had once more dealt him.
„I believe this might not be necessary. On the contrary, I believe we have already found the right person to wake her.“, Zhongli answered, a knowing smile settling on his face.
„Impossible. And even if I wanted to, a non consensual kiss is never the answer.“
„It wouldn‘t be non consensual tho, she loves you Xiao. How can you not see that?“, Ganyu asks him.
„What do you mean, we‘re friends.“, he stated, as if it were simple as that.
„Friends? Friends don‘t stay up all night on top of Wangshu Inn cuddling, Xiao. You love her, and you‘re afraid she doesn‘t return it but she does. And if you don‘t believe me, prove me wrong. If she doesn‘t wake up, I‘ll apologize. But at least you will have tried everything.“, Ganyu countered once more. And while Xiao looked a bit unsure, he complied by stepping towards Y/N.
„Please come back. I need you.“, he said, before leaning down, and kissing Y/N. He pulled away after a second though, his hands shaking in anticipation.
For a moment he thought it didn‘t work, his shoulders falling again, as something moved in the corner of his eyes.
And indeed, Y/N opened her eyes, a bit confused what was going on.
„Xiao?“, Y/N asked, „What‘s going on here?“
But the Adeptus didn‘t answer, no, instead he simply slung his arm around her. It would be ok, he swore to himself, they would be ok.
„I love you“, Xiao answered, „ I love you and I‘m sorry I didn‘t tell you sooner.“
Y/N only smiled at that, before kissing Xiao passionately.
„That’s taken you some time to admit…“, she said after pulling away, before turning to her fellow adepti asking: „ So ahm, what did I miss?“

Wishing upon Lanterns
Genre: Childe x Traveler!Reader
Summary: Y/N is quite surprised to see Childe again while she visits Liyue for the Lantern Rite. Especially because she couldn‘t stop thinking about him since their last meeting in Inazuma.
Trigger Warnings: None, fluff
It was almost refreshing to visit Liyue again after everything that had happened in Inazuma during and after the Vision Hunt Decree. Being in Liyue Harbor again seemed almost like vacation in comparison, especially during this time of year. Liyue was truly beautiful once again, with the many colourful stalls once more adorning the city. Everywhere Y/N looked, she could see people roaming the streets, gushing about this years fireworks show that was rumored to be better than ever before. And how couldn‘t it be, with the Qixing personally overseeing the preparations.
It had been a long time since Y/N had visited Liyue, so when Keqing had asked her to visit some of the Adepti, she couldn‘t refuse. The relaxing atmosphere in Liyue, the quietness of Jueyun Karst had helped Y/N calm down again, and of course it had helped seeing some of her old friends like Xingqiu and Chongyun again. Of course the two of them had been roaming the area around Qingce Village again. However there was still something tense in Y/N‘s posture, so much could Keqing see. So, to give Y/N some time to herself, the Yuheng had invited Paimon to some fancy restaurant with her and quietly told Y/N to relax for as long as she needed.
What Keqing didn‘t know however, was that most of her sleepless nights hadn‘t come alone from travelling Inazuma, although she had experienced her fair share of heartbreak there as well, but rather from what a certain Harbinger that she had met in Inazuma had told her…
„You‘re like the stars in the night sky, comrade. You never cease to suprise me“, he had said. And afterwards, just as quickly as he had appeared, the 11th Harbinger had left.
She couldn‘t deny how she felt about him anymore. And she had tried, for weeks she had tried. Y/N had told herself it would go away, went on commission after commision, she had even gone into the depths of Enkanomiya to try and clear her mind, but it had been of no use. Truly, in the beginning she didn‘t particulary like him, but after the shenanigans with Teucer and their weekly spars, she had become quite fond of him… And then in Inazuma, she had banged on the doors of the domain, pleading to be let back in to help him, and when she had seen him again after these few days, she hadn‘t cared about what anyone would say, as she hugged him… And it felt good. She had enjoyed feeling his warm hands sneak around her waist as well as he had let out chuckle, claiming to be surprised. But she hadn‘t cared, and just kept hugging him before they once more ventured into the depths of the domain.
She smiled at the memory, wishing him to be here as well.
But it wasn‘t like he would come to Liyue anyway, why would he? He was hated in the city after he freed Osial.
No, it would be best to continue thinking about some other things instead, to purge him from her thoughts and concentrate on other matters, like Lantern Rite with all her friends from Liyue. It had been a while since she had tasted one of Xianglings specialties, or listened to one of Zhongli‘s stories. She should really pay them a visit, she thought, as she stared out onto a Liyue bathed in the golden light of the sunset from the bridge she stood at.
„Now what in Teyvat are you thinking off Ojou Chan? Hasn‘t anyone told you that daydreaming when Fatui are near is quite dangerous?“
Instantly she turned around, it had to be him… This voice, this nickname… And indeed, from the other side of the bridge Childe smiled at Y/N, somehow having the audacity to look amused at her suprised expression. But beneath the amusement, Y/N could see another emotion lingering, she just couldn‘t quite decipher which one it was.
„What are you doing here?“
„I came for the festivities, isn‘t it obvious?“
That was surprising, Y/N thought, why would a Fatui come for the festivities? What were they planning?
„Don‘t worry comrade, I‘m not here on official business. It‘s more of a private matter. There‘s no danger coming from me tonight.“
„You know I still have to keep an eye on you though, right?“
„I wouldn‘t expect anything different from Liyue‘s savior.“
The smile he offered almost seemed genuine, she thought, it wouldn‘t hurt to spend some time with him now, would it? She had to keep an eye on him anyway, and maybe this way she would have the courage to tell him how she felt.
„How about I treat you to dinner then? You can then tell me about your adventures in Inazuma.“
„I remember already offering to tell you in the Domain, but fine. Only because dinner sounds like a good idea and I‘m hungry.“
„Perfect…“
Y/N didn‘t think she had spent such a good time the last few weeks. Yes, she had had her fair share of fun playing Hot Pot with Thoma and Ayaka, but with Childe it somehow felt… effortless. As if she didn‘t have to worry about appearing a certain way.
At the moment, they had sat down on a pier, feet dangling above the water, just as the lanterns started to rise.
„You know, Xingqiu once told me, that the Lanterns granted wishes…“, Y/N started, without looking up from the water.
„I suppose you could make a few wishes and see if it‘s true.“
The way he had a sad smile on his face, it somehow nearly hurt her physically.
„We both do.“, she decided instead, an idea forming in her head.
„What?“
„I‘ll only make a wish if you do… Come on, close your eyes…“
Y/N‘s heart almost burst of happiness as she opened her eyes again, as he cracked a small smile before closing his eyes and then looking at her again, also seeming content.
„A mora for your thoughts?“
„As if you have any mora in the first place“, he countered, a smug expression on his face.
„ Will you tell me anyway?“
„ I mean what I said in Inazuma, ojou chan. You do always surprise me.“
„I‘m glad to be of assistance then.“, Y/N countered, trying to crack a joke, but to no avail as the Harbinger tensed up.
„I think I should come clean about why I‘m really here…“
At these words, Y/N sat up straight, she didn‘t know what would come next after all, as he continued.
„After Inazuma, I couldn‘t stop thinking about you. You are truly special. So I suppose I came to tell you how I feel. One word, and I‘ll leave the Fatui.“
Y/N was almost sorry for the poor man as she burst out laughing, only to realise it wasn‘t a joke.
„Hold on, you‘re actually serious?“
„I am.“, he confirmed, „Tell me what I can do, and I‘ll do it. For you, I‘d even fight the Oceanid. That‘s how special you are to me.“
„So Xingqiu was right. Wishing upon the lanterns does work.“
„Why do you think that?“
And so she began to explain: „Because I wished for a way to confess how I feel for you. And here you are, doing the exact same thing, which makes it much easier for me.“
The man looked perplexed at her, Y/N could almost see the wheels turning inside his head.
„Does that mean…“
„I feel the same… And I want you to join me. I mean, I‘m off to Sumeru next, it might be nice to have a familiar face next to me.“
„I could kiss you right now.“, the Harbinger, no, Ex Harbinger stated.
„ Then do it.“
And so he did kiss her, although it was hesitant at first, she could feel the love almost radiating from him as he pulled her closer until she almost sat on his lap. She was almost sad to feel him pull away, afraid she had done something wrong, but then she felt him pull her close again, drawing comforting circles onto her back.
„My wish also came true. I really wanted you to say yes.“
„Oh I did, but we still have to ask Paimon. And now that I think about it, I would really love to see you fighting the Oceanid.“, Y/N answered, with a teasing tone.
„You know what?“, he laughed, „Anything for you. And the matter with Paimon can be easily dealt with. I‘ll just bribe her with food…“
„Childe!“
„What!?“
„I was joking about the Oceanid. But you‘re insufferable. And an idiot.“
„I‘m your insufferable idiot though. Don‘t think you‘ll get rid of me that easily now.“
„I wouldn‘t dream of it.“
Childe only smiled, content with the answer, as he once more kissed Y/N in the light of the lanterns.
