Any cards printed in the last 20 years (please don’t use the ones that are banned if you know you know)

24 Lands exactly; at least 12 of which are Basic

Limit: 1 mythic rare max

Limit: 4 rares max

Limit: 16 uncommons max

I want to see what sort of deck you/“your blog” would show up with if I had an informal tournament along these lines. Trying to keep the power level/ budget approachable. Consider it an offbeat way to express yourself. I’ll put mine in a reply here.

So we recently got Murders at Karlov Manor which gave us a murder mystery fun trope set but on a familiar plane. It’s fun cause they get to fit the trope to the existing lore there and seems like a fun twist to developing an already known plane. So here’s the question. What’s a trope you’d love to see magic build a set around and what existing plane would you love to see it flavored toward?

"Everyone put the top five cards of your library into your graveyard," Wind said with a wide grin. Everyone else groaned.

Sky picked up his top card and gasped. "No, not my Trapped in a Tower!" Sky cried, cradling the card in his hands.

"Hell yeah, get rid of it!" Legend cheered. "Noting can stop my boar now!"

Sky frowned and reluctantly placed the card in his growing graveyard pile.

"You killed two of my rats," Wild said with a frown.

"You'll get them back," Hyrule said unenthusiastically, head propped on his head.

"True," Wild admitted.

From his seat in his office, Time sighed. The Magic game had been going for an hour and a half and showed no signs of ending soon. So much for a peaceful Sunday catching up on work.

Time leaned back in his chair at just the right angle to see the living room and propped his feet up. At least he got to watch his kids have fun.

When people had described the swirl of emotions in the morning after the night before, Pyxis had always assumed it was linked being only able to comprehend what had happened following a restful sleep. What they hadn’t realised was that it didn’t matter about the time of day, it was any sequential period of time after the events took place.

Passing over a handful of gil to the barista, making sure the framing strands of their purple hair lay in front of their shoulders more so than usual, Pyxis stands at the end of the counter out of the way whilst awaiting their order. Their body faced the bar area, but eyes strained at the corner of their glasses to look back at their seated companion. Cheeks flushed as she realised Raubahn was also looking towards her, watching him sit up a little straighter and turn to face the other way. Her gaze moved back to the countertop, waiting for their drinks with a harder focus than before.

Heated breath washed over their shoulder, bringing heady groans soon behind. Rabahn’s hand weaved into the long strands of Pyxis’ hair, drawing their neck closer to push rough lips into soft skin, eliciting stifled moans as they continued-

The cooling breeze that ran across the back of their neck bringing risque images into their mind sent shudders down their spine; tail flicking side to side as if to wave away the indecent memories that tried to creep back into their mind. The fact the events being played out had not yet turned a bell old, however, made it more difficult than usual. 

“Order for Felixhaven?” The barista announced, and it took a few moments for the words to register before they took the two drinks with a small nod of acknowledgement, turning back to walk over to where Raubahn was sitting; still looking out of the window like the most interesting events in all of Eorzea were taking place just outside.

Tension pooled between them, the air thick with both of their aching groans as Pyxis could feel him getting closer. They didn’t want this to end, to be able to be this close to the one they loved for as long as possible, but the fear that someone could open the door behind them and see-

“H-here,” Pyxis stuttered, placing the espresso down in front of Raubahn and sliding quickly into their seat opposite him. The events outside of the window were very interesting, it seemed.

Love is in the air, so I would love to hear your ocs thoughts on the subject of romance~

Cypheus: This man develops a crush on every 3rd person he meets. He loves the idea of going out on dates, sharing sweets and deserts, and watching the sunset cuddled up with a person he cares about. Cypheus frequently daydreams about finding love, but he travels far to much to settle down and meet someone.

Ahmeral: has only ever been in love with himself.

Malain: Loves love, they would watch romance movies all day if they could. Malain jumps at the opportunity to listen about their friends love lives, or even pitch in with romantic advice. However, they themselves are incredibly bashful when feelings are expressed towards them.

Aderick: Is in love with Ingdiir and has made it everyone's problem, especially hers.

Ingdiir: Pretends to think romance is overrated and refuses to admit she likes Aderick back.

Karesh: Though he'd like to settle down one day and get married, he's already a little to married to his work. Karesh has a "One Day..." approach to romance.

Ventir: Believes romance is a silly thing that he needn't pay mind to (desperately lonely).

Emerick: Actively searching for love, not that he's lonely, but he believes any home is better when shared with a loved one.

Xiltas: Xiltas' history with love is a dangerous one. He fell madly in love once long ago and tragedy befell his lover. And he is willing to tear the multiverse apart to get him back.

Maharabh and Prophet are aro/ace, and Chydle is an actual plant that reproduces asexually and has not discovered the concept of romance.

Hmmmm this gives me an idea.

Many players use a die on top of their deck as an upkeep trigger reminder, but there's no reason why you shouldn't use it for prompting other check-ins.

Roll that die at the appointed time and check Who has the:

1 most mana available by their upkeep

2 most cards in hand

3 largest creature in graveyard

4 commander with the greatest power

5 most creatures in play

6 most on-board protection [swiftfoot boots, lightning greaves, activated ability to save a creature]

7 most on-board interaction [goblin sharpshooter-likes, nullmage shepherd]

8 most untapped mana representing a potential response via a card in hand

9 most facedown cards/in exile but known to them

10 highest/lowest life total
