Hello everyone! I have a fun prompt today that has various levels of participation to choose from! >:3c

So basically, I love mtg Jumpstart. It’s such a fun idea and I love that it’s a place to print unusual strategies without having to dedicate a whole set to it. My husband and I love buying some from time to time and do blind plays. It’s exciting when neither of us know what we’re doing xD

So my prompt(s) for you my dear friends, is what theme would you just love to see in a Jumpstart pack? Heck even if they’d one it before, maybe you just want more! Or explored in a different color.

Idea two, put together your own Jumpstart pack deck list 👀 From what I’ve seen of deck make-ups it seems that generally, in a 20-card Jumpstart pack you get about 7 basic lands, 1 “thriving” land, 5-7 commons, 4-5 uncommons, and 1-2 rares/mythics.

Idea three, same as above but invent some custom cards for your theme! We’ve seen some cool new cards in Jumpstart and I’m excited to see what we’ll continue to get!

It’s fun to look ahead! We know some of the next sets coming out, as well as what we like to do with magic. So basically looking forward on this new year, what are you hoping to do or get with magic (build more decks, play more, do more fan projects etc. or unexpected products/projects from WoTC)? What set(s) are you most excited for?

We're seeing more desparked walkers as time goes on, which feelings on that stoey beat aside, makes for interesting design.

Make a creature card for one of your fanwalkers (or a canon walker you think could have an interesting creature design)!

Design some cards from your favorite planes and how you think they handle/celebrate/tolerate winter. Do Ravnican goblins have snowman guns? Does Bloomburrow have a winter creature like Beza is the spring? Does Valgavoth dress up for the holidays??? I dunno but I bet you could make some fun cards (or heck art/flashfic) about it! Ok we saw this one coming since we saw the beginning of previews. If your character went to Bloomburrow, what creature would they be? (I know it’s a little tricky since we don’t know the archetypes yet and we don’t know a size limit on creatures before they become the scary elemental big creatures, but shhh it’s fun we can do a serious one later)

So we recently got Murders at Karlov Manor which gave us a murder mystery fun trope set but on a familiar plane. It’s fun cause they get to fit the trope to the existing lore there and seems like a fun twist to developing an already known plane. So here’s the question. What’s a trope you’d love to see magic build a set around and what existing plane would you love to see it flavored toward?

We had magic-con preview-athon recently! Full-art lands have become a fun staple lately, and we’ve recently seen previews for more. We got to see the Bloomburrow full-art change of seasons lands and the full-art eldrazi lands for MH3. What is a theme you would love to see for a full-art cycle? It can be plane or theme-specific or just something you’d generally like to see.
