i think im definitely not in the majority opinion here, but the aftermath pricing model can be appropriate i think. notice that i say can, because it definitely is not working for march of the machine aftermath, but i think $5 for 5 cards can work. the idea of cutting out draft chaff is very appealing to me, as it would be great for a multitude of reasons to not have hundreds of cards that i literally will never use just collecting dust in a box. i think the big reason it fails for march of the machine is that the set just doesn't bring anything special to the table. there isnt a single card from the set i would buy a pack for, even if it was guaranteed to be in that pack.

#NoMagicMay
I watched the Professor chatting with someone else about the Pinkerton thing.
One thing they expressed was that there was no way to act in an immediate way that influences sales number to send a message to Wizards. Like with the DnD stuff recently people could cancel DnDBeyond to send a message and that did something.
I think Magic players do have a medium to send a message. The medium is online play. We should blanket boycott all Magic apps, especially MODO and especially Arena for at least 30 days. They can't take back what has happened but we can send a message that they will feel. I think we should also throw FNM and all physical sales including the secondary market in as well, but digital play is big and more immediate.
This is unacceptable though I don't expect players to stay away forever. A month long boycott for the entirety of May would send a strong message and make them reconsider how they handle future leaks. Backed up with plenty of emails and public messages to say this is why it's happening.
#NoMagicMay
If you agree and want Wizards to know it then I humbly suggest you spread this. Encourage your friends. Encourage content creators. Reach out to big Magic influencer and let them know you're participating in #NoMagicMay and would like them to join.

Feedback on March of the Machine: Aftermath
I’m about to write this year’s “State of Design” article, and I’m interested on your feedback of March of the Machine: Aftermath. What did you like? What did you not like? Tell me all your thoughts.

Karn: And now, with Elesh Norn stopped, let us have a moment of silence for those who have fallen...
Urabrask, buried under a pile of scrap: I’M STILL ALIVE GUYS!
Chandra: Oh shit, Urabrask! I was pretty sure you were dead, like you... were literally drawn and quartered.
Urabrask: THAT ISN’T LETHAL TO A PRAETOR BUT IT DOES HURT LIKE HELL!

Spoilers for MoM: Aftermath!
Beware!
So based off of packaging, it looks like Nahiri is not only alive but no longer compleated. Based on what we’ve seen so far and how much of a big deal it was for Melira and Karn to cure Nissa and Ajani, it seems wild that Nahiri would just be…. Ok? (Obviously we’re getting more story with Aftermath but STILL)
So.
WRONG ANSWERS ONLY!
How did Nahiri get back to normal?

So I pulled a Taigam, Ojutai Master at my prerelease and I’m thinking about building a deck around him. How does Rebound work with Adventures and Split Cards? Most of the stuff i can find online about rebounding split cards is from before their rule change, and I can’t find good info about rebounding adventures anywhere.
Tumblr media
Rebound works quite well with both of these cards types!
Adventures: When an Adventure with Rebound (cast from your hand) resolves, you'll have two different replacement effects wanting to exile it as it resolves. There's the normal Adventure exile, and then there's the Rebound exile. If you exile it to its Adventure effect, then it works as normal and you can cast the non-Adventure part from exile whenever timing would normally allow you to do so. If you exile it with Rebound, then you get to cast the card from exile at the beginning of your next upkeep without paying its mana cost. When you do, you can choose to cast it as an adventure or as its main spell. If you cast it as an adventure, then it will exile itself again and you'll be able to cast the main spell from exile as normal.
Split Cards: When a split card with rebound (cast from your hand) resolves, then you'll exile it and get to cast it again on your next upkeep for free. When you cast it this way, you choose which half of the card to cast. Note that you can't choose to fuse a card cast this way, since you can only fuse cards you cast from your hand. Also, you can't cast a half with Aftermath this way, since you can only cast those spells from your graveyard.
