This Year has been full of a lot of cheer and way too many changes, but I’m glad it has happened. I’m hoping that 2023 is a little kinder on the world and that there’s a lot of changes for the better.

Until then, this year has been good. I’ve pushed through a lot of struggles and made my way back home. Spent time with family for the first time in three years, and written so many fics.

The mskt important part of this year, though, is all the friends I’ve made or the friends who have stuck by my side. So i want to say a huge thank you to all of them.

Look, I love all these anglo-speaking pop musicians turning to rock, punk and punk-pop in music because I love the sonority. But also, rock was my little safe space, there was so much aggression and feelings in the lyrics of the mskt prominent rock songs, it was about everything, some times it was about everything all at once as well, but now it's just… romance. Now I go to those Spotify, YM, apple, deezeer, etc rock playlsits and it feels like I'm clicking on a pop one instead.

Is the same feeling I get with kpop in English. Like, no, you were safe for me because I couldn't understand when you were talking about love, it was just really great noise! But now I gotta hear how you got the feels for this random boy, no, I want to sing about going ooh-ahh without knowing what is making you go ooh-ahh!!! I want to put my rock songs and sing about strength, and depression, and fighting and breaking shit, and why war fucking sucks, and being the weirdo left out, and how is it like to be a single mom, and how you wanna be king, and the issue of men never being the ones addressing rape, and being on the top of the world, and anarchy, and finding yourself and your own power, and also a bit about the devil, just… going through entire rock/punk albums, one after the other, where all the lyrics are just basic couple bull…

I know there always were love songs in rock is just, it was so easy to find other stuff without having to dig. With pop I always need to find like one single song of a very small artist who doesn't have anything like that, and I love it, don't get me wrong, I got a nice playlist out of it, but it is an effort that most of days is fruitless, and really stressing, specially on the days I'm feeling both romo and sex repulsed.

I'm not complaining, I'm venting, on a good day I get super fucking excited about this because I love rock, but on a bad day is just not easy. I know no one has to make songs about something that isn't romance but, God, I just wish there was something EASY.
