So something is definitely up with Mrs. Castillo, right?

Like, in the sets she’s depicted dreamcrafting with an hourglass, she just generally seems to be way too chill with the Dream Chasers openly discussing the Dream World in front of her, seems to take a more active role in the Dream World than other dreamers we see, AND her comment in “Sound of Sirens” about recognizing the Dream World.

My first thought was that maybe she’s Lunia? This doesn’t exactly work with my theory about Logan being Lunia’s kid, which I believe more in, but I do want to tease this idea for a moment, even if it’s just a crack theory.

If we go with the idea Lunia was as old as, or even a little older than Oz during the Nightmare King’s first imprisonment, Mrs. Castillo would be the right age for her to be Lunia. Not to mention she has a similar loose curl pattern to Lunia, just shorter.

Speaking of her design, look at her dress. We don’t see it often in the show because she’s almost always in her food truck, but her character image shows the full thing

Lotus flowers, which symbolize rebirth, purity, enlightenment, and strength, all of which are pretty good descriptors for Lunia based on what we know of her and how the Night Bureau as a whole saw her. Not to mention her design is primarily blue with whites and yellows (and that one splash of green on her scarf), a color palette that basically matches up almost perfectly with Lunia.

One problem: Mrs. Castillo isn’t an aware dreamer, so how could she be Lunia? Easy: the price she paid to stop the Nightmare King and create the Grim Realm to trap him wasn’t her life, but her memories, her dreamcrafting, and her aware dreaming.

With the implication in S2 the Night Bureau never actually learned who Lunia was in the Waking World, it would make total sense for her to be right under Oz, Beau, and Hannah’s noses the whole time without any of them realizing because, even if they did run into her, she would have no memory of who they are, and that might be enough to rule her out for the Brooklyn Branch, even if there are other similarities. And, if she did lose her memories, it fits well with the themes introduced in S2.

As a final piece of evidence, her last name, “Castillo”, means “castle”. You know, maybe like Castle Nocturnia? The only castle we know of in the series aside from the Grimkeep?

Honestly, writing it all down right now I’m so torn between this theory and the Logan one. Or, who knows? Maybe it’s technically both and my updated theory in light of “Romancing the Spear” throwing a huge wrench into the timeline of Logan potentially being Lunia’s kid is correct. That kind of a theory would probably go like:

When Lunia created the Grim Realm, her body and soul remained, just without her dreamcrafting or memories of the Dream World. Meanwhile, part of her power remained in the Dream World, overtime forming into who we now know as Logan (after all, S1’s finale and S2 E10 show us that pure imagination power can do unbelievable things), thus making both theories true at once.

I’m a bit iffy on the above combined theory, especially since Logan hasn’t been shown with any specific connections to Mrs. Castillo like one may expect if it were true, so it probably is one or the other. Again, I’m more leaning towards the Logan theory, but there’s a weird amount of evidence pointing to Mrs. Castillo at least having a connection to Lunia.

Zoey helps Mrs. C out only to have to fish Dallas out of trouble later on

With a satisfying click Zoey set the kickstand of her dark blue vespa down on the ground, successfully parking it just beside Mrs. Castillo’s food truck. The engine shut off nicely as Zoey twisted and took her key out of the ignition before setting her foot on the ground. She swung her leg off her vespa and took up standing beside it where she began to untie the box that was sitting snugly in her vespa’s back basket. 

Zoey’s vespa was relatively new, as she’d only gotten a year ago for her sixteenth birthday, and it was still in amazing condition to the point where you could really only tell it had aged from the big scratch mark on the side that was from when Dallas had crashed it. 

She couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the memory. As fond as she had grown of Dallas he was still partially an idiot. 

Grabbing the box from the basket now that it was free, Zoey took it with her over to Mrs. Castillo’s food truck where she could already see the elderly lady sweeping dust off the back steps of her truck. Littered just outside the door on the sidewalk and street were various cleaning objects, a heater, and other nicknacks from inside the truck. 

“Hey Mrs. C,” Zoey greeted as she walked up to a stool and placed the box on top. 

“Ah, buenas tardes mija,” Mrs. C responded back, pausing her sweeping to greet Zoey with a soft smile, “I like the costume!”

“Uh, thanks,” 

Mrs. C herself was dressed in a golden turtle costume that matched with the colors of Señor Tortuga, who sat half curled up in the window sill. 

“How’s the clean up been?” Zoey asked while opening up the box and pulling out a smaller box of garbage bags. 

“Quite the same as always mija,” Mrs. C answered, “Muchos amigos have already stopped by to help.” 

Zoey nodded, made sense, “Glad you’ve already had some help Mrs. C,”  

With that Zoey took a garbage bag out of the box and slid past Mrs. C as the elderly woman carefully came to the bottom of the stairs and proceeded to scurry over to a bucket that had a simple sponge sitting alone inside it. 

Zoey tromped up the stairs and entered into the back of Mrs. C’s truck where she then made a beeline for the fridge. 

The inside of the food truck was laid out quite similarly to that of an RV, with a bed crammed up beside the fridge and bathroom across from it, cordoned off behind a floor to ceiling box made out of the same material as the walls and a closed door. On the other side of the fridge was a number of cupboards and Mrs. Castillo’s food prep counter that had a sink next to it.

Without waiting for any directions, as she already knew what to do, Zoey opened the fridge and began to sort through the items inside. Zoey checked all the due dates on the items that had them and took the items that were soon to go bad out of the fridge where she either placed them on prep counter or in the trash bag. The others, still good and fresh, she left in the fridge for Mrs. C to deal with later. 

Finishing up with the fridge, Zoey closed it and left the garbage bag propped up against the wall as she turned her attention to the food she’d put on the prep counter. Among the food was a bag of shredded cheese, a jar of jalapeños, a jar of salsa that Dallas had said he was going to pick up, and a tomato. 

Zoey pocketed the bag of cheese. 

Next Zoey moved the food items to the other counter that acted as Mrs. C’s serving counter which was from where she dished out her neighborhood famous tacos and burritos from. She glanced briefly out the window and looked side to side keeping an eye out for Dallas but upon not seeing him, she ducked back into the truck and went back to cleaning up. 

For the next hour or so Zoey helped Mrs. Castillo clean the food truck, vibing to the radio that Zoey had eventually turned on, before getting to the point where they were just about ready to put the heater into it along with many of the other things that had been taken out and needed to be put back in such as Mrs. C’s stool. 

Zoey eyed the heater before her, it was a rather hefty contraption that she figured it might take her a few tries to get it up into the truck but she took off her leather jacket and tied it around her waist, preparing herself for the task as Mrs. Castillo watched cautiously. 

With a huff Zoey crouched and then hoisted the heater up where she then proceeded to waddle over to the truck with it. Surprisingly Zoey managed to get the heater up the stairs and into the truck before her arms and knees started to feel wobbly and ready to drop the heater. A loud thud went up as Zoey half dropped and half set the heater down. 

“Phew,” Zoey breathed out in relief as she rubbed at the red marks that had appeared on her arms from carrying the heater. 

A small round of applause went up from behind her as Mrs. Castillo clapped for her efforts. 

“ Muy bien mija!” She congratulated, “Quite the tough load indeed,” 

Zoey grunted and turned around to offer Mrs. C a smile, “De nada Mrs. C, been working out recently, so it isn’t much of a problem,” 

“Are you sure?” Mrs. Castillo worried, “It is quite the grande heater.” 

“Well I’m sure if she managed to carry me single handedly she can lift that thing easy pease,” 

Dallas was suddenly standing beside Mrs. C at the bottom of the stairs grinning like a maniac, his fluffy sheep-wolf costume still on even though it looked like it was killing him to a degree. 

Mrs. C turned and adjusted her glasses, “Oh, hola mijo!” 

Dallas smiled, “Hola Mrs. Castillo,” 

“There you are,” Zoey grumbled while still massaging her arms, “Been wondering where you were,” 

“Ah yeah, got distracted by setting up party decorations,” Dallas answered sheepishly, “But I’m here now, anything else you guys need help with?” 

Zoey looked at Mrs. C who seem to be in deep thought for a moment. 

Mrs. C offered Dallas another smile and then shook her head, “I think we are alright mijo,” 

“‘Kay,” Dallas hummed, “Guess I’ll just grab my salsa and dip,” 

Mrs. C gave Dallas a curious look but it flew over Dallas’s head as he joined Zoey in the food truck as Zoey went over to the front counter to fetch the salsa. 

“Here,” Zoey said as she handed Dallas the salsa jar, “The jalapeños go bad soon as well as the tomato but I don’t know if you want those too.” 

Dallas shrugged and pulled a crumpled plastic grocery bag out of his pocket, because apparently his costume had those. 

He fluffed out the bag and then set it on the counter to gently put the salsa in, “I mean if they gotta be eaten I won’t mind taking them,” Dallas mentioned. He then took the jar of jalapeños along with the tomato and set them into the bag next to the salsa before closing up the bag and taking hold of it. 

“Thanks,” 

Zoey shrugged, “Don’t mention it,” 

“Like actually?” Dallas wondered, an underline joking tone in his voice as he scrunched his face up in curiosity.

“Sure, if you think hand me down salsa is that embarrassing,” 

Dallas bit his lip as if to hold back a laugh but it wiggled its way out anyway, “Haha,” 

“How much more do you still have to do?” Dallas wondered as the pair began to walk back to the truck’s back door. 

“Well we still have the issue of insulating the truck and getting the generator put in too, but my … father will come help with that later,” Zoey explained, “plus there’s also putting everything back in.” 

“Rough, but not too much left to do I suppose,” 

Zoey nodded and followed Dallas as he tramped down the stairs. Once he hit the ground he smiled at Mrs. C. 

“Alright I’ll be off now, you ladies have fun!” 

Zoey rolled her eyes as Mrs. C waved at Dallas while he began to walk off back up the street, once again shooting finger guns at Zoey.  

“Adios mijo!” 

“Weirdo!” Zoey yelled, cupping her hands around her mouth but Dallas only barked a laugh. 

“Mija,” Mrs. C commented in exasperation. 

A small laugh shook Zoey and she moved her attention back to the items scattered around that still needed to go back into the truck. 

She’d start with the stool. 

Zoey began to walk over to the stool but before she had even gotten over to it a sharp scream cut through the air. 

Something quickly kicked in and Zoey whipped her head towards the direction the scream had come from, the same direction Dallas had walked off to yet he was nowhere to be seen. 

What had that idiot gotten himself into this time? 

Zoey reached to the back of her belt and pulled loose her pocket knife and ran off towards where the scream had come from. 

What she found was Dallas being pinned against an alleyway wall by an older man wearing jeans, a skull shirt, and hockey mask. 

“Give me all your money!” The other man growled. 

Dallas shook like a leaf, “I don’t have any! I’m a broke high school student!” 

“Liar! You just bought groceries!” 

“My friend gave them to me I swear!” Dallas continued to protest and that’s when Zoey decided she’d see enough. 

“Hey!” She called and the two others turned their heads towards her, “Leave him alone!” 

The other man slowly let go of Dallas only to shove him violently into the wall as he cackled, “What type of costumed freak are you supposed to be!?”

Zoey flicked her knife open, “The type who’s about to make you question your life decisions really fast if you don’t get lost!” 

The other man clenched his fist and drew a pistol from his belt as he turned towards Zoey fully, revealing the hostler at his belt. 

“No, how about you get lost little missy?” 

Dallas choked out a laugh, “Ha! As if she hasn’t fought people with guns before!” 

The other man simply slammed him into the wall again which caused Dallas to hit the back of his head and to slide down into a seated position. 

Well consider Zoey provoked. 

Zoey made a fist with one hand and clenched her knife in the other as she placed one foot in front of her. The other man in return took the safety off his gun and cock it.

“You aint gonna win,” the other man started, “You brought a knife to a gunfight.” 

Zoey let an easy and prepared smile settle onto her face, “Are you done chatting?” She asked but just as the other man went to respond Zoey fixed her grip on her knife and flung it. 

The other man howled with pain as Zoey’s knife sunk into his thigh and he turned his attention towards it. Zoey took this opening to rush him. 

With a well placed kick to the knee the other man went down onto it allowing Zoey to grab the back of his head and smash his face down onto her own knee. 

The hockey mask on the other man’s face splintered as it collided with Zoey’s knee and as Zoey released the other man’s head allowing him to pull back the two halves of the mask slipped from his head. 

Two beady red tinted eyes looked up at her in surprise as Zoey ripped her knife from the man’s thigh and smashed the handle of it into the side of his neck. 

The man let out a pain choking noise and fell over onto his side. 

Zoey backed away from the man and turned towards Dallas to help him to his feet. 

“I still don’t understand how you can do things like that,” Dallas mentioned in bewilderment, a stare of awe added to it as he gaped at Zoey, “I swear you are like an actual superhero, how do you do it?” 

Zoey shrugged, grimacing at the sight of blood on her knife, “Practice I guess.” 

Her father had explained it to her of course in passing but even he didn’t fully understand it either. Nova and Cooper had their theories and ideas too yet Zoey still felt like if she were to think about it for too long she’d just end up even more confused than how she had started out. 

She supposed that was just the nature of the dream world though. It … did things that people could barely wrap their heads around and there was some insane magic to it that seemed to affect a number of things in weird ways. 

Whatever it was though she’d let more mentally wild people figure it out. 

“Ayyo Zoey!” Dallas yelled, his eyes widening, “Behind you!” 

As he said it Zoey felt the other man behind her and her body seemed to react long before her mind caught up. She spun around, knife in hand, and stabbed the other man in the shoulder causing a spray of blood to shoot up. 

The other man howled, dropping his gun in the process and stumbling backwards as pain seemed to overload his system. 

Shock had come over Zoey and by the time she came back to her senses the other man had stumbled out of the alley with her knife still sunk into his shoulder. 

Dammit, that had been a good knife. 

A hand eased itself down onto Zoey’s shoulder, Dallas. 

“Holy shit,” he drawled out, “you saved me! I owe you,”

Zoey blinked and glanced down at the blood that was now on her hand, “You owe me two now.”

I've been thinking about this idea for some time

I hc dreamkeepers to be sorta immortal beings so when Lunia started off she was an average aware dreamer before becoming more Dream creature esque

Also my evidence for them having a connection? Look at episode 14 of season 2. Mrs castillo has the eye of confusion that Lunia took. I don't think she just happened to stumble upon it, I think Lunia entrusted her with it because she knew it would be safe with her. Mrs Castillo doesn't remember it though because she never remembers her dreams after not passing the dreamforge

Also because they were only friends in the dream world, when she forgot about it all she forgot her friendship with Lunia too

My lego friends full name headcanons part 1

These are what I headcanon the lego friends characters full names to be, based off some other posts where they show what they think the lego friends last names are, but this time full names (+ details about it, also, the full names for characters from the original and still here will all apply to the original, girls on a mission and next chapter canons in my headcanon)

Original 5 girls:

Olivia Victoria Castillo-Flores

• I liked the idea of making Olivia have a double-barreled last name from the original post so I decided to do so for mine but put 2 different last names, and i might’ve gotten Castillo from Mrs. Castillo from dreamzzz, and I just like how her name sounds, also, I think she is Hispanic in all canons but is a much lighter skinned Latina in the classic series

Emma Louise Parker

• Louise is actually Emma’s canon middle name in the original show as she says it in the episode, snow way

Cassandra Andrea Jackson

• definitely a Michael Jackson reference

Mia Camille Smith

• originally I thought of her middle name as Claire and last name as Thomas but i thought that what I actually went with sounded much better, also, ninjago reference with me choosing Camille as her middle name

Stephanie Alice Thompson

• her mom’s name is Alicia, so I think Alice is a pretty close name for her middle name

• i originally wanted her middle name to be Ann but that would just not work as well, and I definitely got the idea for Chen from ninjago and it’s a pretty common Chinese last name, so I think it works and her voice actress’ last name is Chen as well

Nova Ella Bailey

• it was hard for me to come up with a good full name for nova, but compared to autumn, I kept nova as her first name

Oliver James Simmons

• Olly’s full first and middle name is a reference to 2 actors in Harry Potter, and I also like how his full name sounds

Audrey Paisley Roberts

• I also thought of paisley’s name being her middle name like with Andrea and autumn

Zachary Jeffrey DuPont

• Zac’s full name is actually Zachary in the show and I liked the idea of DuPont for a French last name

Dreamzzz season2 spoilers pt.1

(And my personal comments)

Alright. Starting from episode 1

I didn't realize that Cooper having a sudden interest in chips would be a hint to something later(it probably isn't but it seems like it to me). Cooper apperantly had a full list of things to fix and make... also the Night Bureau really can't do their job done properly can they. How does Cooper go to school? And study? And get good grades?? Also love how everyone names their cars

It was cool seeing Sneak working with them. And Nova, too bad they... uh- dissapear after like... episode 4? I think

Mateo trying to find a way to get z-blob back, and the Nightmare king... why is he such an icon all of a sudden?? Like-

Also, I like that how Mateo got the kid show treatment. Might as well sing 'we're all in this together'

And Dallas joining the knitting club!!

It was pretty nice. Just a simple small detail, but I like stuff like that so... Looks like he's not going to be bullying anyone now

It was very fun watching the crows(ravens? Don't remember) snatch their memories. When I saw what the memories that was stolen were about I started screaming like-

I actually think they all have a good reasoning. Logan always loved his music(would've been better if he forgot how to sing entirely) , Cooper... well he's the tech guy, and for Izzie, she was the who accepted the dream world the fastest. Who liked it the most in the first season right? There are more cool and amazing reasons than this but my stupid brain can't think of anything else right now

Episode 2

Apperantly there's a lava realm? Cool

Mr. Oz being angry, Logan being.. well, Logan. And Cooper is just adorable. He's having so much trouble. His purpose in life kinda snap

And when everyone else just jumps into the castle, Izzie takes her time to take the stairs

And Izzie having trouble with "dont open your mouth" she's so funnn

I had trouble understanding Astrid-

Royce guy has a weird whistle.

Cooper looks so happy until his mind went blank and his face is just- 'dude wait, what was I doing?' I thought he lost his tech skills?? Why did he become... dumber? It's cute though

Also, Logan said a lot of smart stuff in this episode. One of my favorites was

"If I forgot it, how would I know?"

Mr. Oz trying SO hard not to swear. I could see the struggle-

And the flash cards 😭 when did they get a rule book?!!(first ep)

Also, how many eggs do you think Cooper cracked. How does he not remember how to not but a bolt and screw together?? Just- stick it in! Learn to do it again? Poor thing

And the Night Hunter! +Susan and Snivel. They're a bunch of sillies

Cooper getting pressured by his family again- (is it just me or does he get his character development after like... two episodes and be the one stable guy holding the team together? He's useful. Like actually useful) Cooper's voice also wouldn't stop cracking

"Do you ever get sand in your eyes? Or your shorts?" (The Sandman had legs?? Yes, had. He... he gone now.)

Also kinda funny how all of Mateo's dreamcrafting gets blob-ified

"The one time! I actually want to hear your beats, and you forget?!"

Zoey! Why would you randomly jump into a cauldron!! (Also, the Night Hunters memory being Zoey- I already had a feel)

There is a lot of pushing and shoving people. And it's only the second episode

"So you're not the tech genius you used to be. You still got- ....uh.... what other talents do you have?"

Oh godddd noooooooooooo he said it- Oh god........

"I'm gonna go drown my troubles in the candy realm" (kids. Too much sugar isn't good for you)

(He can't even figure out how to put his phone on silent anymore) he got an A+ in a science project, by cooking?? I thought it was a SCIENCE PROGECT??

Imagine a kid suddenly pulling out an apron and asking for a kitchen to work in. During a science project (he's a chef now), he also just... kept the flan? Thing, in his locker-.... is that... okay?

I mean... I did watch this science show on Netflix about these super smart girls and their names being mc². And one of them bakes. Using science. I mean... science works in everything... and I guess if the teachers said okay then its.. okay?

Sandman and Never Witch fighting, he will be remembered. It was pretty cool actually. I wonder if they have any history

Review: 71456 Mrs.Castillo's Turtle Van

Welcome to Dream Crafting Van, the place where you can craft your own dreams and ride your way through the world of endless imagination.

Ever since the official reveal of the LEGO DreamZzz line, this set was the one that caught my eye, and I fell in love with. There's something about this retro-looking van itself, its pastel colors and Mrs.Castillo's minifigure that makes it so nice and different.

Building was fun. The book with instructions is colorful, features art illustrations and tells a story that leads you through the building.

The set can be built in 3 different ways: just the van, build it as a turtle with a fun party mode on, with a cat-cactus, palm tree and a chest, or make it into a flying turtle submarine with a periscope and “fire” in the back.

Tortuga's Dream Craft shop is a very fun place where Mrs.Castillo mixes different items and ingredients. There are two chalkboards that show the Dream Craft items and builds. They add something extraordinary to the set. But there's no printed tiles, it's all stickers.

The minifigures are very colorful and detailed, they are: Mrs. Castillo, Mateo and Zoey. There are also 2 new figures: Z-Blob and a Grimspawn. All of them are very fun to photograph and play with. Especially if you have watched the DreamZzz episodes.

Mrs. Castillo's minifigure may look odd, but she is perfect as it is. The white hair, the print on her dress, the look of her face, they all match up perfectly and show us her personality as she is a wise and a warm hearted woman.

The hourglass is the main tool in the Dream World. It is used for Dream Crafting, but you have to be careful– the sand inside isn’t endless. You can see it even on the front of the van as an emblem.

It's a really fun set, which is both great for display and play. It has a lot of characters involved.

I would give this set a score of 9/10.

It has been released on August 1st and it's price is $47.99 and 47.99€

LEGO sent the set, but all the opinions here are my own.

Here's how I came up with the idea of the pictures:

I wanted to represent the colorful part of the Dream World, so I decided to use hard morning sunlight.

I put a piece of cardboard next to my window. On top of it, there’s a layer of artificial grass. Next, there’s a blue cardboard as a background and some props. I used barbeque skewers, wire, and Uhu Patafix to attach the objects to the wooden sticks. These sticks are pretty good to make things stable.

For one of the pictures I used a little tripod to place the turtle van on top to make it look like it’s flying. Then some editing, I had to remove the props and make the magic look real.

The detailing on Zoey's stopwatch is gorgeous, of course; it even has zodiac signs around the outer rim!

7) Pail and Shovel

Among the things Mrs. Castillo throws after Mateo tells her they're looking for the dream forge, there is a shovel and pail set, much like the ones later used by the Forgemaster.

8) Cooper & Nova

In the opening scene of the first episode, after the Masked Hero bumps into Mateo, you can see Cooper talking to Nova in the background.

So y’all know how Mrs. Castillo definitely has SOME kind of connection to Lunia?

Well, she shows up as a figure in three sets:

1. Mrs. Castillo’s Turtle Van

2. Fantastical Tree House

And…

3. Castle Nocturnia

Not to mention, in the Castle Nocturnia set, she has a (as of current) non-canon new design, and is shown facing off the Never Witch- her being there and shown in that way is a pretty odd inclusion on its own- unless there’s something more at play here. Like The Sandman’s Tower giving us a taller Lolo figure before he canonically showed up with his final design.

Not to mention the face paint of her fig is an… oddly familiar shade of blue, isn’t it?

It was an unspoken rule in their community that if one ever wanted street food tacos one was required to always go to Mrs. Castillo’s food truck first. If she was closed for business for the day other places were fair game but usually if you went out and got some other businesses tacos while Mrs. Castillo was open; it was grounds for some friendly bullying. 

So it was only par for the course that that’s what Dallas’s cousin Beth decided to do when she inevitably found him eating Taco Bell, alone, at one of the cafeteria tables. In Dallas’s defence… he was broke and a Crunch Wrap Supreme just hit differently in a junk foodish way that Mrs. Castillo’s tacos just couldn’t. 

“ Seriously?” Beth protested as she slapped down her lunch tray onto the table in front of Dallas, causing her pudding cup to jump ship where it landed pitifully on the table. 

Dallas choked on his taco and glanced up as Beth sat down across from him. 

“Mrs. C’s is open Cuz, I can’t believe you went and got that-“ Beth cut herself off and gestured vaguely towards Dallas and his taco, “sad looking thing.” 

Dallas chewed thoughtfully on his taco before holding it by the side of his face as he frowned at Beth. 

“It was lonely,” he pouted. 

Beth stared at him seemingly uninterested, “You used up all your allowance on yarn again didn’t you?” 

Putting down his taco sadly at being found out Dallas responded, “Yes.”

“You should’ve just asked me to get you something dumby,” Beth grumbled back as she absentmindedly twirled her dyed red hair strand around her pointer finger. 

“Yeah, you would’ve, but specifically something off extreme spice menu at Mrs. C’s.” 

Beth grinned, a bit crookedly, before lurching forward to snatch the untouched half of the Crunch Wrap off of wax paper it was sitting on. 

“What can I say,” Beth hummed, “I live to torment.”

Mateo - Genderfluid and bisexual i like to think he uses he/they/she pronouns. Mexican and Dominican (Mexican from her dad and Dominican from her mom, their mother is 1st gen and jose is 2nd #awesome)

Izzie - she/her cisgirl lesbian shes sooo cool and helps mateo with his crushes even if he keeps denying he has a crush on anyone. Ethnicity same as Mateo

Cooper - he him transguy hes gay too. Hes out to his family but they are a bit hostile with it. White. White as fuck. Outrageously so. Also he's left handed (this is canon I swear. Like, actually. I'm not kidding I swear he's shown in the instruction books to be left handed)

Mr oz was already an experienced science teacher by that time. Beau and Hannah would go on adventures together before being recruited into the Night Bureau. It was all well until the sword corrupted his heart and mind. He would have arguments with Hannah until he decided it would be best if he left. He gave her no notice, one day he was simply gone. He told nobody where he'd go but he eventually ended up in New York, a bit away from Brooklyn though as to not encounter his sister or anyone else he knew. There is such a weird amount of evidence for this and I’m so glad I’m not the only one seeing it- still torn between this theory and the Logan theory.

probably not the first to make this theory, but Lunia:

I want Dreamzzz to be more widespread and popular for a multitude of reasons, one of which being all the casual rep I just fucking LOVE. There’s so much diversity in the show and it’s never made a whole thing because people are just people and that’s SUCH a good lesson for the kiddos in the audience.

Examples I can think of:

- Mrs. Castillo, Jasmin, Astrid, and others having various kinds of accents

- Foods of various cultures

- Dental devices like Jayden’s headgear (this one makes me personally extra happy because the mockery of any and all dental gear in media made me so anxious when I got braces as a kid)

- Characters in the kids’ middle school having awkward, crack-y voices (like- yes!! This is a normal thing kids go through in puberty and they shouldn’t be ashamed!!)

- Gender roles being largely disregarded (people are who they are and like what they like. The closest the show gets to weird gender roles is stuff like it being surprising Logan enjoys K-Pop or Dallas knitting, though I’d argue that’s more because both were seen as stereotypical “jocks” until then)

- Characters having different hair types and textures

- Characters like Izzie and Mateo being (implied) bilingual

- Mobility aids like Astrid’s wheelchair (outside of that one comment from Logan which was both a one time thing and swiftly acknowledged as rude)

- Characters having explicit real-world ethnicities

- Various characters, main and side, being explicitly (Logan’s moms) or implicitly (Mateo) LGBTQIA+

- AuDHD symptoms. AuDHD symptoms everywhere.

And that’s all from the top of my head, there’s probably more I’m not thinking of. Overall: this show and theme absolutely delights me with its rep and I cannot wait to see what more its got in store for the future (Lego give me Mateo/Cooper canon and my life is your’s-).
