In 1969, during a time of significant racial segregation and discrimination in the United States, Fred Rogers, the beloved host of the television show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," made a powerful statement by inviting Officer François Clemmons, an African American character on the show, to join him in cooling his feet in a pool.In essence, Fred Rogers' decision to invite Officer Clemmons to join him in cooling his feet in a pool in 1969 was a courageous and pioneering act that challenged racial segregation norms and demonstrated his dedication to fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society through the medium of television.

Guzma:
“hes canonically a gangster. he runs an entire gang. he probably has street fight knowledge. he's actually a really strong pokemon trainer for a bug type specialist. obviously he cant fight anyone actually cos pokemon is for kids but if they slided the age rating up a bit im sure he could win easily”
“It's ya boi!
He managed to take over Po Town.”
“Its ya boi! I feel like he's tough and intimidating but he usually relies on pokemon to fight with so idk how hed actually do in a fistfight”
Mr. Rogers:
“He won The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny” x2 (2 people said something similar to this)
“"The fight raged on for a century / Many lives were claimed but eventually / The champion stood, the rest saw the better / Mr. Rogers in a bloodstained sweater"”
“Remember when he won the Ultimate Battle of Ultimate Destiny? And he won that when people had their powers even. Imagine what he could do to them when they're powerless...”

get to know me meme >> Favorite Movies [25/?] Won't You Be My Neighbor?
Love is at the root of everything - all learning, all parenting, all relationships. Love or the lack of it. And what we see and hear on the screen is part of who we become.

To Mr. Rogers and Officer Clemmons, thank you for making our childhoods full of love.
Francois Clemmons is an openly gay man. We have become aware that Mr. Rogers described himself in a way that many of us consider to be bisexual. I couldn’t ask for better role models.
