Within Classical Music I normally listen to Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, and music by their contemporaries (18th Century Classical Music) when I'm studying / focusing. And I happen to have quite a few recommendations!

To name a few of my go-to album editions & music performers:

Beyond the usual music I gravitate to, I find the experience of listening to new music / artists eye-opening. I didn't listen to a lot of indie rock / folk stuff in the past, but it's certainly a genre that's growing on me lately.

I've been pretty fascinated by how the artists incorporate storytelling or a thematic concept cohesively in an album! A few days ago, I listened to Madi Diaz's History of A Feeling and enjoyed the the way she explored relationship breakups and grief in the songs.

Speaking of storytelling in albums, what are a few of your all-time favourite concept albums?

As of Red (Taylor's Version) vault tracks, I'm most excited about Forever Winter and the Taylor Swift sung version of Better Man, but I'm also pretty hyped for the Phoebe Bridgers collab :D

Thank you for all the recommendations :D I listened to a little of each this week and it's nice, i like it, especially the Bach: unaccompanied cello suites album! I usually listen to piano pieces and these dark academia playlists you see everywhere on youtube while working so your recommendations are a nice change! 😊

Discovering new artists/music is the best thing ever tbh!!! I love storytelling as well and that's why I prefer listening to cohesive albums (where all the songs kinda live in this one universe) rather than playlists. I don't really listen to a lot of "concept" albums though or maybe i'm not totally sure what is or isn't considered a concept album. I like a few but i wouldn't say they're my favorites. I'd love to listen to more, what are you favorites? :D I need to check out Madi Diaz.

i mostly spent today packing as i fly back to school in new york city tomorrow morning! honestly i don't really want to go, last semester was tremendously stressful and by the looks of my courses this semester's only going to be harder. :( but it was so nice just to relax for a few weeks! how was your day? (my seasonal blog is silverseasons btw!)

Aw bummer I’m sorry to hear that school is stressful :( Maybe this semester will be a little better? but if not then hopefully it’s your last semester before you get a nice long break for summer so maybe that will help you power through!
