⚠️ Important Post ⚠️ Read Below ⬇️

So I decided to throw out a little transparency on the life of a hungry ghost during the past three chaotic months, and where things will be going moving forward.

We planned on buying a property in the near future but not so near. Unfortunately our rental flat was being put on sale so as life goes we had to speed up the process. I've been trying to maintain creativity but the constant ups and downs of possibly having nowhere to live was stressful to say the least.

( As everyone knows the rental and housing market in the UK has been awful )

During those months many other things happened from someone I love getting severely hurt to reconciling with family but I won't go into detail about those.

So what now?

Well, on a positive note we are moving this week! We found a great, more spacious apartment that needs some tlc but is perfect. I'll be posting pictures of the work we do on it over time.

I won't be focusing on art for a month or two at most ( although I did this 5 frame ghost animation this morning ), but when I do I'll be taking commisions. Full details on style, prices and mediums will be posted here so keep your eyes open for details.

Apple Tree

I taught myself to nurture

Through an Apple seed

From the only bite I ate that day

Wet tissues and placed it on the ledge

Hoping it would grow to a barricade

So I could not jump

Transported its pot from the

Fifteenth to the sixteenth to the seventeenth

House I lived in

Until its leaves could cover

What would become faded lines

I watered it on the days that were dry

And planted it at the front door

Where it blossomed

Free from the confines of a pot

In a place built for forever

When we left

They threw poison over its roots

We was in the middle of moving out

Hence the mess

We found the hula hoops so we thought why not muck around 🤣

Day 2 Reflection - 15 days of productivity

Today was just ... AAAAA Got off to a rough start but had some pretty solid goals; my essay took about 2 hours just to finish referencing (who knew referencing adapted figures from multiple sources was so monotonous and time consuming). My toxoplasma essay just didn't happen today. Good news also came through with a commission I'm working on - it should be going ahead!

So, what I achieved today:

Finished my essay, and I'm quite proud of it tbh. Unfortunately, it passed midnight and submission date closed. Fortunately, I have a lovely professor who I felt comfortable emailing and explaining my situation. Nervous what she will say.

Final Inspection of the new house. Need to decide what room I'm taking, where furniture will go, what repairs need done (it's an old house so a lot!) Lot of emotional energy spent today. (stressful!)

Vacuumed room, boxes are prepared for tomorrow.

Looked at dresses online, but there are so many I couldn't choose!

For me:

Took my dog on a car drive and got a coffee - he loved it as always.

Took a long shower and had a healthy breakfast to start my day.

What I learned: Set realistic goals that I can do in a select time period and don't stay up until 4am to chat with friends!
