I found it! It's real the lamp really is real this is astonishing I've been hunting this relic for years the Lamp of Proteus

According to the stories Proteus was one of the most accomplished guardians of all time. While the legends about his time as a guardian are scattered and scarce, it is known that he became corrupted by his own arrogance and pride. He disobeyed orders, even from the Lady herself. After he became a guardian, he developed a disdain for humans and didn't return to his railway to maintain his cover from the railway's perspective. He just disappeared.

Proteus often felt that guardians should get the credit they deserved instead of working from the shadows. This argument boiled over, and he attempted to strike the Lady, but she deflected it at the last moment. The ensuing battle was a massacre. Proteus made short work of his fellow guardians, gaining their power as he stole their souls. The battle lasted for days, and by the end, almost all the guardians and conductors were dead.

The battle culminated at the peak of a mountain where the two would trade blows for hours. Proteus's killing of the guardians made his power rival the Lady's. However, she managed to strip his soul from his physical form and imprison it into a railway lamp. The Lady herself was beaten to the point of exhaustion.

Proteus's lamp, however, simply vanished. It has been rumored to grant wishes to those who can solve a riddle, at the risk of Proteus taking your soul if you get it wrong. It is also said that Proteus is responsible for making rolling stock sentient. While there is little proof of this, it would make sense for him to cause mayhem for Lady's children.

And now his power is mine i almost can't contain my excitement I am more than capable of whatever riddle that old kettle could throw at me.

On the next page was just one phrase repeatedly filling up the entier page written in what was later determined to be blood the phrase was "I'm sorry" the blood was a match to [REDACTED] his family was notified of his death
