Mummy loves you (Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton drabble)

A/N: Apologies for the late upload for the Mother's Day Special, although I hope it's good enough despite the late upload. Also I know there's actually photos of Tom and Zawe out and about with their baby, but I thought I'd use those images for another time.

Summary: Tom being the ever devoting fiancé made breakfast and delivered it to his beloved who had been sleeping in, as she should be on Mothering Sunday. They share some family time with their little one and furry curious dog Bobby.

"Good morning, Mummy!" Tom called softly, as he entered the master bedroom with a breakfast tray balancing on one palm, whilst he carried their precious little bundle of joy on his opposite hip. Also Bobby came bouncing in behind him too.

Zawe slowly sat up in bed and rubbed away the sleep from her eyes before greeting her family. "Good morning, my darlings!" Bobby puts his paws up onto the bed to greet her and she scratches behind his ear before he sits beside the bed.

Tom then carefully sets the stay down over Zawe's covered legs followed by him pressing a gentle kiss to her temple, her eyes temporarily closed for those few seconds the kiss lasted for, before he moved their little Peanut to be held in his arms as he sat down next to her. Once seated Zawe admires her family with a loving smile on her face, Tom grinning whilst petting Bobby's little head as he keeps their little one close, also with his bed hair he looked very adorable too. Their little Peanut coos softly and then starts to reach out to Zawe with grabby hands, which takes her out of the moment from watching them, and gets her to actually interact more. 

"I think Peanut wants to tell Mummy, Happy Mother's Day!" Tom says cheerfully and passes Peanut over to her, then he moves the tray further down her legs, as she lovingly holds their little one in her arms.

"Awh...can you say Mummy?!" She says in a soft and airy voice. 

Their little Peanut hums "mmm..." a couple of times before Zawe repeats "Mummy”, only she's answered with the same hum, which trails off into little babbles and other cute little noises. Of course delighting Tom and Zawe as they praise their little one, as well as excitement in Bobby as he wags his tail and his paws rest on the bed once more. His little wet nose touching Peanut's bare foot and a smile too on the little furry fella's face. 

When Zawe picks up her spoon to begin to tuck into her breakfast of boiled eggs and toast, Tom begins to rummage underneath the bed for her Mother's Day gift, while Peanut tries to pick at her plate too with tiny hands. "Did Daddy forget to feed you Peanut?" Zawe jokingly asks, as Peanut tries some of her breakfast.

"No, Daddy didn't forget, did he?" Tom replies, as he emerges from under the bed with Zawe's gift, while Bobby waits for a little taste too and Peanut cautiously reaches out a small hand to the fur-ball with a piece of toast crust. Bobby gently took the crust from Peanut and chomped on it until it was gone, causing chuckles all round, and Tom promising he fed Bobby already too. 

Zawe took her gift out of its bag, opening the small box inside, and cradling their infant simultaneously. Inside the box was a simple gold heart shaped charm with an emerald gem in the middle on a chain of gold. She found it to be very lovely and Tom kindly put it on for her. Followed by her reading the card that came with it.

"Mummy loves you too." Zawe nuzzles her nose against their infant's tiny nose in a gesture of thanks.

The sun now streaming into the master bedroom, making the family of three glow in its rays, while a rainbow light casted and dances behind Zawe and their own little ray of sunshine, which was casted by a glass jewellery box nearby. A sight Tom can't believe he's seeing before his very eyes, yet smiles between them are infectious, neither of them could help it, because even small moments like these already found a forever home in their hearts. After all, both Tom and Zawe have wanted a family, and now to actually have one is their entire world, their everything.

idk at some point I think we need to stop lying to city people about what a no light pollution night sky looks like bc some of the saturation boosted long exposures folk are using as proof of what the nebulous they have taken from you are getting silly.

like this is a photo from the McDonald observatory obviously, but this is like. almost what you would actually be seeing under decent but not exceptional circumstances (ie sea level with low moisture/dust in the air, and no time spent intentionally avoiding light before hand)
