The Tomura volume redraws resembles the atmosphere during Toga's final moments. They're dying, but at least they're leaving after getting some semblance of "peace" in their final moments

I still hate that they died, (I will always hate this decision), but at least they died without as many regrets - supposedly. There’s just something about Tomura and Toga getting preventable but “peaceful” deaths that will forever unsettle me.

However, with these updated Tomura panels in the volume, I kinda hope it means that Dabi will get something new in the last hellish Todoroki chapter.

Because if not, this will be the last time we see Dabi before he dies in the timeskip:

I hate it. I used to think it was """fine""" because at least his fate was vague in the final chapter, but knowing that he does die ruins this scene more for me. I don't want to think that Tomura and Toga got these """peaceful""" deaths, while Dabi is instead forced to live out his remaining time inside a prison coffin so Endeavor can feel better about himself

So, I do hope that Dabi gets something new too. Maybe a flashback or imagery of him with his family or the League, or just SOMETHING to show that he also found that "moment of peace" like Tomura and Toga did before they left.

Otherwise Dabi really did get the worst death in my opinion. It's probably for the best that he did die in the end (knowing how this series is), but it's still upsetting for me

If haven't been posting much recently, it's because I've been feeling under the weather since the fair.

That being said, I decided to start on a fanfic a little while ago based on a quick draft I wrote last year.

Basically, "what if Daffy was a part of the McDuck family" and also "multiverse jumping adventure"?

It's the first fanfic I've written in about ten years. If it sounds interesting, feel free to respond to the poll below.

The poll features page numbers from what I've written so far (30 pages). Whichever number wins, I'll post an interesting/funny excerpt from that page.

I'm only about a third of the way through chapter 2, and there's about 9 chapters planned, as well as some after stories... This is gonna take a while.

Side note: I'm sure this isn't like new news considering I haven't exactly been hiding it with some of my polls and asks, but now I feel like I'm comfortable revealing some of it and talking more openly about it.

So I opened Sunset to see when each chapter was posted because I did a ton of research for the earlier chapters, including watching all of Troy (2004) which I do not recommend under any circumstances, but this just ended up with me spending a good chunk of the day rereading Sunset and not answering your question at all.

Sadly, I didn't do much research for the chapters that were published this year. For Agua Caliente, I did look up the names of cactuses in Anza Borrego, and the names of the different camp grounds and various camping rules. I also looked up whether San Diego has eucalyptus trees (yes). I ended up on some incredibly unhinged smoothie sites and learned that smoothie people can be absolutely bonkers. Oh and I watched a bunch of videos about cat birth, ahahah.

chapter 2 is basically jsut exposition in several characters voices. sad! I’ll be posting it only once chapter 3 is done and they’ll be put up 4 days apart from each other. Working around being landlocked in a city is actually pretty hard
