The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022, dir. Tom Gormican) - review by Rookie-Critic

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was exactly what you would expect. 1 hour and 47 minutes of pure Cage. Incredibly funny and entertaining and I highly recommend it. Pedro Pascal is an absolute stunner in this and, honestly, is just as funny, if not slightly more funny, than Nic Cage is. Had me laughing out loud for a lot of the movie and there are a ton of Cagey references and easter eggs to watch out for. I know I didn't catch all of them. That being said, I feel like they could have pushed the unhinged Cage-ality of it all even further than they did, with even more deep-cut references and even more unhinged outbursts from the man himself. Don't get me wrong, the fact that a movie like this even exists is a marvel all unto itself, and it feels like a nitpick, but if you're going to go there with a concept like this, why not go full throttle all the way in, right?
