cant wait to play 🙂‍↕️ i aged up Cassie and Alex and madeover the family using the new cas items 🐦‍⬛ will revisit them later and mix some cc but for now they literally are only wearing the new stuff (plus bella's and ales's hairs, makeup and glasses)

That's It: I'm revisiting the Bella Goth thing.

The Sims 2 turns 20 next month and I honestly can't think of a better way to celebrate that than by looking at a post I made during a chaotic period in my life and seeing how it checks out. I wanted to establish a narrative behind why Bella's missing (I knew there were technical reasons but the fun was in finding the story) however because of that Chaotic Period™️ and circumstances I haven't really discussed here on the internet I haven't been able to fully cover things like I wanted to.

I'm working on it now and keeping myself busy between this and my schoolwork. I'm hoping to have everything out by September 17th. I also have other goodies and cool things in store for y'all.

The Ancestral Goth home was a place Cassandra had only read about. Her grandparents remembered the Old Country, and they'd brought for their children many treasures from home, but this was the first time she was seeing it for herself. Cassandra stepped through the ancient doors and took in her new home.

It didn't surprise her to see the accents around the place. The Goths had always been comfortable with the darkness. While her mother had come from a long line of psychics and soothsayers, the Goths decorated themselves in the style of their namesake. Cassandra was comforted in this moment by the embrace of the dark around her. Her mood was so black, she didn't want to let in any light.

She sat at the piano in the main parlor, tapping away at the keys. Staying in Ophelia Villa had felt like a weight on her chest, and her father, well.

Whatever loyalty he'd shared with Bella Goth had dissipated in the years since her disappearance. Funerals had an air of finality to them, even if a body had never been recovered. Cassandra had been truly mad when her father announced his new paramour Katrina Caliente. She'd been even more upset when he told her his intention to join her in Oasis Springs to live a relaxed life together.

Cassandra might admit jealousy also colored her feelings towards the woman. Her husband had died, suddenly, tragically, all on her wedding day. Mortimer felt safe to frolic with some overcompensating bimbo. He'd found new happiness after loss. Cassandra could only feel the emptiness.

The only thing she'd brought with her from the home was a portrait Darren had painted. He'd gifted it to her on their wedding day. A loving piece, at the time she'd barely believed he'd been able to capture her in such a beautiful light. Her mother had beauty, but Cassandra had always considered herself awkward and strange. Darren hadn't seen that. To him, she was some gothic heroine, waiting for her true love.

And like all gothic heroines, that love was destined to end in tragedy.
