Cuteness aggression to the max. He can't help it, his partner is so precious when he's hugging them all he can imagine is squeezing them until their ribs break and pierce their lungs. If he's caressing their face, they can feel the way his fingers twitch, itching to dig his nails into their soft flesh.

He chews and bites. A lot. After Scorpion burned his face off he realized his ability to just straight bite things got easier without skin in the way. Will hug his partner from behind and chew on their hair cause he likes the texture. Cuddling? Random bites the entire time and they range from light and playful to you think he's genuinely trying to eat you sometimes. He isn't, kinda. Just likes biting.... Sometimes he may be trying to take an actual bite. Romantic Cannibalism.

His name has become a confusing mix of a disgust and comfort. If anyone ever calls him Dairou he gets insanely mad, remembering his life in Seido in the lowest caste and all the dictatorship over his life. Yet when his partner calls him his name... its almost like a comforting blanket he's never felt being wrapped around him. He doesn't have to be Havik, Cleric of chaos and symbol of anarchy. He can let himself relax for a moment, his worries can drift away for another day. With his partner... he can just be Dairou.

Surprisingly he is a good cook. Now his method of cooking may be a bit... unorthodox. You don't really know what he's cooking with. Or how he even got it in the first place. But give him some meat, herbs and spices and a fire. He'll be able to roast up a good tasting meal.

Has issues with monogamy. Not being faithful part but more the idea of having fidelity forced onto him? He doesn't like the idea of rules or societal norms re-shackling him after he's gained his freedom. If his partner is fine with polyamory or having an open relationship, great. If his partner isn't comfortable, communicating it as a personal preference and comfort level would gain more an understanding reaction from him rather than telling him he needs too.

Man's comfortable as hell in his relationship and partner. Would never tell his partner what they can or can't do or wear cause fuck that shit. You wanna go to a club wearing a sexy ass outfit and show yourself off? He's your hype man. Go out nude, he'd support it.

Will kill a man if someone messed with his partner.

Has killed a man for messing with his partner.

Has a habit of mutilating himself at the most random of times. Almost like the habit of cracking one's knuckles he starts to feel stiff and really uncomfortable if he hasn't snapped or torn a part of his body for a while.

His partner will have to force this man to put on a shirt if they are going out in Earthrealm. He doesn't understand the social norms of Earthrealm and frankly... he doesn't give a shit to learn. He'll eventually put on a shirt if his partner insists for their own comfort

Has tried to fight police officers, many times.

Getting this man to properly bath himself is a hassle on its own. He grew up in a way where bathing was a luxury few could afford so self care isn't something he's well versed or keen on. If his partner insists that they'd join him in the bath or shower then eventually they'll be able to pull his grimy ass into the water. Once he is in the water however, good luck getting him back out.

Lil NSFW~ Any marks his partner makes on his body during night time fun will always be saved on his body. He'll never fully heal them up, scars are like a badge on honor to this man. Now he gets to walk around with more scars and scars that his partner placed on his body from how well he was fucking their brains out.

At first, Shang didn't recognize you since you changed in height and voice. He realized it was you from your mask and mannerisms. To Shang's credit, he seemed genuinely glad to see you again and relieved to see you are well, almost remorseful to see you ran away because of your "accident."

He claimed that he had guards searching the nearby land for you but didn't think you'd willingly go to the Wastes. Your mind and heart warred with one another when Shang touched your shoulder with a soft, fond expression. A look you haven’t seen in many moons and find yourself sometimes missing as much as hating.

That's when Baraka barked at Shang to back away from you. Internally, the Tarkatan's reasoning was to protect his friend from getting hurt, but deep in his soul, the reason was the same as a territorial male taigore.

As if flipping a switch, Shang went from acting affectionately with you to callously gesturing for the guards to hold Baraka down so he could plunge a syringe into his spine, unflinching at the Tarkatan's pained roars.

You shout Baraka’s name before demanding the soldiers to release him, chastising him for treating one of your patients so callously as if they were mere animals. Shang Tsung didn’t stop you. You kneel down to check on Baraka, free him from his bonds, and help him get back on his feet. You had to physically hold the large man back from attacking the Sorcerer, who then made the mistake of opening his mouth.

"Get away from that savage, Y/N! I don't want you to share its fate as well."

That’s when you hiss and yell at Shang Tsung that you more or less share that with Baraka, or has he forgotten that he caused your affliction? Shang’s eyes widened as he seemed honestly taken aback that you blamed him for your accident. He then offers to take you from the Wastes’ ghettos and back to your laboratory as an apology. He would find a way to reverse your mutation there, and you both can continue your noble work on a cure for Tarkat.

You immediately declined his offer, stating you were fine working at the camp. Shang's eyes widen at your rejection, a look of pain flashing across his face before it’s placed with a look of contempt. He narrows his eyes at you as he takes note of Baraka gently holding the hand you had on his chest within his much larger one. 

Shang sees how it is and thus changes his tone accordingly. He gives a pantomime sigh, stating it’s a shame you refused since that’ll mean he’ll have to report to the Empress that you abandoned your post to hide your affliction from her. When she finds out, you’ll be stripped of your rank and assets, including your years of research and supplies, before being left permanently in the Wastes. Reminding you that Sindel is likely to take his word over yours because of your schism with Sindel and the promising results he’s shown.

"You remember why I have the Empress's ear, don't you?"

The sorcerer could feel your despair oozing from behind your mask. Baraka lets out a low growl, able to smell your troubled state, as he begs you to let him dice the Sorcerer into tiny meat chunks.

But you don't let Baraka do so. That's when Shang offers an ultimatum. You can continue your research at the camp, and Shang won’t let Sindel know about your condition in exchange for your notes on your progress.

Shang will give you some supplies to continue your work monthly since he WILL return to the colony to take what he needs from the Tarkatans. Failure to comply means letting Sindel in on your new appearance and desertion. It was an offer you couldn’t afford to take.

So it’s with a heavy heart that you accept, much to Baraka’s discontent and Shang’s delight. The latter leaves you with the consolation that you could always return to the Laboratory whenever you desire, ensuring you’ll never return to the Tarkatan’s wretched camp. You merely hiss at Shang to hurry up and leave. Later on, in the privacy of your workshop, Baraka demands to know why you accepted an offer with that snake in the first place.

As much as you want to tell him, you have your oaths and can only say Shang Tsung is treating someone very dear to you. While Baraka is, understandably, upset you didn't tell him this sooner, he promises to TRY not to kill Shang for the foreseeable future but makes no guarantees that he won't. Baraka admits that seeing Shang Tsung in his colony and near you brings out something dark and feral within him, demanding he remove the threat from his home. While he's unable to see, you smile warmly at him behind your mask as you thank him, placing a hand over his knee.

So, for the next few moons, you and Shang stuck to your new arrangement. However, even then, he tried to court you. He’ll leave you with new supplies to replenish your stocks and gifts in the form of herbs and luxuries such as fine soaps and bedding. If it weren’t for the colony’s need for such things, you would’ve thrown his gifts back in his face. So you had to swallow your pride and thank Shang for his “generosity.” You still tried to keep Shang from doing anything more to the Tarkatans under your care, warning him constantly that provoking them only worsens their symptoms and makes them more likely to violently lash out. Yet, the Sorcerer mostly doesn’t heed most of your warnings. You also had to ensure Baraka didn’t rip and tear into Shang Tsung on sight, but the Sorcerer didn’t make that easy. In fact, he seemed amused to watch Baraka’s hatred and irritation for him tug against your metaphorical leash.

During one of Shang’s monthly visits, Baraka finally had enough of the Sorcerer. Rather than letting the Sorcerer walk away after extracting his marrow, Baraka swiftly killed the guards that held him down with his arm blades. Shortly after, the rest of the colony would follow suit and attack the imperial soldiers who herded them to the edges of the camp, finally fed up with their cruel treatment. Baraka then turned his attention to Shang, who grabbed you with a free hand to drag you away from the scene; Baraka then proceeded to kick his ass.

No doubt, the Tarkatan leader would’ve killed Shang Tsung if it hadn’t been for you holding out your arms in front of the Sorcerer and reasoning that Shang needed to stay alive. However, before Baraka could retort, Kenshi interfered by grabbing Baraka from behind. As Baraka is surrounded by Kung Lao and Johnny Cage, Shang Tsung drags you away from the fight.

He urges you to come with him, as it's now, or never to join him or be left behind with those beneath you. You refused, backing away from the Sorcerer. Shang Tsung seems hurt by your rejection before, but it's so quickly replaced by that iconic smug grin that you thought you'd imagined his hurt.

"You'll regret not coming with me sooner."

He then takes the form of one of the Tarkatans before disappearing into the approaching crowd right in front of you. You don't have any time to ponder about the sorcery you just saw as your attention is caught by Kung Lao voicing your confusion out loud. You stood with the rest of the camp against these intruders. You had no idea whether or not they worked for Shang Tsung, but you wouldn't let them hurt any of the Tarkatans!

You fought one-on-one with Kung Lao as Johnny was occupied with the rest of the camp. Admittedly, the young monk fought valiantly against you, even with your use of magic and toxins. Still, even battered and bruised, you wouldn't back down. You reached your hand to your mask, having not initially taken it off during the fight, ready to unleash your power on the monk. You and the rest of the camp stood off from the three intruders until Kenshi explained to himself and his companions to Baraka that they were after Shang Tsung on behalf of Lord Lui Kang due to the threat he poses to both his and your realm.

Sensing no deceit from him, Baraka explains what he and the rest of the camp are and the illness that made them this way, including his life before Tarkat. When Johnny Cage asks if Tarkat is why you wear a mask, you take the time to explain that you're not infected as far as you can tell; however, your appearance is drastically altered thanks to Shang Tsung. It's also because of the latter that you cannot remove your mask unless absolutely necessary. You also explain that you treat everyone at this camp as its main healer. You finally drop your hand from your mask after Baraka signals everyone else to back down.

After leaving a couple others to attend the camp, including which medicine is for which, you tag along with Baraka to your former laboratory. You assuage Baraka's concerns, reasoning that you know where it is and the layout well, to which Kenshi agrees.

While none of the others could read your expression beneath your mask or body language, Baraka knew what was going through your mind while trekking to the lab. He knows and smells the anxiety coursing through your veins as you get closer to where it all went wrong for you. Yet, he silently assures you he's here for you when taking your hand into his own as if to lend you some of his strength. And you know something? You think you're already feeling stronger just by his touch alone.

You already ran once from Shang Tsung; you won't this time, not after the new information that's come to light and from your experience for these past moons. There are more lives at stake besides your own now, after all.

Okay, so maybe this isn't a great comparison but I just keep thinking about it. Smoke tossing Madam Bo over the balcony at the Tea House just gives me such Bubba Ray Dudley putting Mae Young through a table vibes.

Like, I imagine Madam Bo (since she came up with Raiden and Lao's test scenario) telling Tomas, "...And then you throw me over the balcony" and Tomas is like "UM WHAT????"

Because I guess initially Bubba Ray didn't want to do it, but ended up being fired up for it and Mae Young was just such a fucking badass. (I've heard different versions regarding his change of heart. Don't quote me but the one that stuck with me is that she was basically like, "Man up and do it.")

Awww, syzoth and smoke would be the most patient trainers possible. 🥺🥺🥺

The next tournament was coming up faster than ever and lord Liu Kang chose you for your resilience and determination.

But the problem is that you did not know how to fight, not one bit.

So he assigned you to Syzoth and Smoke to help train you.

You gave it all you got.

But from how more experienced and how fast they were. It made it impossible.

Your timing was off, you hesitate every punch, second guess every kick.

Always knocking you to the ground.

“Your timing is off y/n, you got to try and know how your opponent reacts.” Syzoth helped you up.

You kept trying and trying and trying.

You were growing frustrated at the lack of progress that was being made.

One day, you didn’t show up to training. This made smoke slightly concerned.

He then ventured to your room and knocked on your door.

“Y/n ??, it’s time for training”

“I’m…. I’m not well smoke”

Smoke was not so convinced, he heard your voice break too.

He entered the room and saw you crying, facing the wall next to your bed.

“Y/n what’s wrong ??” He frowned as he went over to you.

“I can’t fight Tomas, I can’t do it…. They’ll laugh at me.”

Smoke felt so sad for you, his best friend is trying with all their might but is not succeeding.

“Take the day off, I’ll talk with syzoth ok ??”

Smoke went to him and then talked with him, coming up with a training program to help you in every way possible.

And through the next few weeks, it worked.

Starting off slow, you then grew faster and stronger and more confident with your attacks.

All thanks to your best friends.

They were so proud of you.

Does anyone else remember how weirdly toxic the MK Fandom was around MKx era? Becuase I do.

Those like handful of blogs that were just getting into beef with random Kano fans and their whole thing was "Kanno is a peice of shit! And so are you for liking this fictional antagonist!!!" I remember a few who put anti-Kano in thier description of their blog and it was just a hobby to shame people for drawing Kano fanart or liking the character in any way. (And a small revival with mk11 since they made him fuzzy for that game lmao)

Weird uncomfortable age gap shipping... That whole thing about that one artist that drew Cassie cage/subzero stuff and a shit ton of people were like "uh, he's friends with her dad and is like 52. So that's kinda weird." But then it also turned into a headcanon argument bc people were like "yeah subzero definitely watched Cassie cage grow up and he was a part of her childhood." Wich is so funny looking back at it bc there was no need for people to theorise anything about the characters relationship any further than what is Canon for it to be weird.

That fucking Sektor fan who just casually wrote headcanons about Sektor being a huge fucking racist for no goddamn reason?????!?!??? The headcanon specifically was about how they ship him and Cyrax and how Sektor calls him slurs and physically, mentally, and sexually abuses him as part of thier romantic relationship????????????? And they even gave examples of the horribly racist things he says to him¿¿¿? And that Cyrax was just okay with it??? And ended the post with like " I love my evil little man 🥰" No trigger warnings on the post either and when they were critiqued for it they were like "it's realistic and it's just my personal headcanons and you don't have to agree. Sektor is my comfort character and this is just how i see him." -type shit. (Deeper lore about said person. I actually interacted with them way before the headcanon thing. They approached me wanting to rp and they were so controlling they were basically just telling me what to do the whole time. super rude and impatient. So they just suckedl lol.)

Art blogs getting wierd asks that requested them to draw the fem characters in what was very obviously kink art but the asker would ask it in a way to trick the artist into making free fetish art for them. I got so many requests back in the day to "could you draw mileena for me :) but with her jaw wired shut? :)" or "could you draw kitana wereing a new pair of flip flops for me? That would make my day." like ????? Vague to the point of its sus but there were alot of minors in the fandom at the time including myself, i was in highschool at the time. but I was raised on deviantart so I could smell a wierd fetish from a mile away. But I did see other young artists fulfill these requests and several of them completely unaware that they were drawing kink art. Kink art is cool. But not when you're tricking minors into drawing it for you for free. (There was this mileena anon that was the most common one and I swear it was the same dude bc it was always something to do with with her getting her jaw wired shut, her getting bracess, or some other hardware being attached to her jaw/teeth.)

When Liu Kang and Kung Lao have children, they hear their fathers call each other "brother", they do this because they're very close friends who basically grew up together as if they were family, but their children are very young and don't understand this or know their story, so they think they are literally real brothers.

Liu Kang and Kung Lao realize this confusion, and its cute... and it made them happy... because they both grew up without family, so it's nice to see how their children think they are family. So they don't correct them and just let them believe that.

The children think they are cousins, Liu Kang's children call Kung Lao "uncle" and vice versa, they believe this for years. Until one day both families are together for dinner and Liu Kang and Kung Lao casually tell the story of how they met and the children react like "???? wtf????? wdym you guys haven't been together literally forever???" and then the truth comes out.

It's funny for Liu and Lao, they're like "haha yes guys we lied" but the children are SHOCKED looking at each other like "WE'RE NOT COUSINS??"

🔥Scorpion/Kuai Liang Headcanons #1🔥

Y'all I'm so sorry about my lack of activity that's been a month at least I think... Been working on projects for college and it's been taking a lot of my time and zapping any energy to write. T^T I promise I'll get more stuff out once my projects are completed, I have ideas and things in the works!

Much like Bi-Han, Kuai's body naturally runs warm however Kuai controls it to make sure he doesn't burn people by just shaking their hands. Bi-Han had no care and doesn't want people touching him.

Kuai also grew up learning to play an instrument, while Bi-Han chose to learn the Dizi; Kuai learned to play the Banhu.

He's a frequent visitor of Madame Bo's, he enjoys visiting after his missions and relaxing with some freshly brewed tea she serves. He always makes sure he's in more relaxed and casual clothes as its his time to unwind and relax from his duties.

Has a specific table at Madame Bo's that he will ALWAYS sit at, it has become his table at this point. It's a simple table located closer towards the windows where the sun shines pleasantly onto. A small image of a scorpion has been carved into the wood of the table after one night he went there with his brothers and had a little more sake than he should've.

Absolutely brings Tomas to Madame Bo's as well if they both have the time or after another dispute between Tomas and Bi-Han has happened.

Daddy's boy, Kuai adored his father and worshipped the ground he walked on. He wanted to be able to make him proud and work hard for the Lin Kuei and Earthrealm's protection. His father was his idol.

Giant Family man

Kuai is the peacekeeper both between his siblings and in the clan itself. He wants nothing more than his siblings to get along and tries to find compromises and ways to dim the fire Bi-Han directs towards Tomas. Because he's used to being the voice of reason many clan member's will go to Kuai rather than Bi-Han when they have concerns, knowing Kuai will take the time to listen to them and find a more effective way to bring it up to the grandmaster.

Multiple clan members have made comments of how Kuai would've been a better Grandmaster but Kuai shoots them down and defends his brother each time. Until Bi-Han betrayed him.

Has always looked forward to finding a partner to marry and have a family of his own to take care of. Kuai wants to be as good and noble a father his own father was to him.

Kuai is an avid reader in the small moments of free time he can get. He enjoys sitting out in the gardens on a calm morning and relaxing with a good book. He's a sucker for romance.

Big animal lover, specifically cats as they also naturally draw towards Kuai due to his warmer body temperature.

Has a pet cat that's his little buddy whenever he's home. The little guy will frequently be cuddled up on his shoulder while Kuai reads or is just going about his daily routine.

Has considered on multiple occasions of getting a pet scorpion... He still considers it from time to time

If you have noticed, he moves his hand in a particular way in his fighting posture. He also does that on a daily basis. You can see that his hand movements are as if he’s ready to cast a spell due to practicing sorcery for centuries.

Random Kombat Kids headcanons!! They have rotted my brain :DD

Yes, I’m including Frost.

Takeda HATES loose clothing, hates the way it rubs against him and the way it looks on him in general. Also hates short and sleeveless shirts, doesn’t like feeling exposed. Will wear tight, long sleeve shirts even during training.

When Cassie came out as a lesbian to Johnny his immediate reaction was ‘I know’ (he’s supportive dw he’s just been waiting for her to realize it). Her first crush was Mortica Adams with Mai Valentine as a close second.

Frost once ate poisonous berries from the Articka wilderness and was hospitalized, she was 14.

Kung Jin is Sonya’s favorite Kombat Kid (Cassie doesn’t count). The two are both kleptomaniacs and have both picked up the bad habit of stealing small things from base. They need to stop, the special forces is running out of pens…

Jacqui really loves animals (I’m also headcanonning Vera was a vet) and used to read those thin, white, nonfiction animal books from the school library.

Takeda also has a lot of body hair. The first time his shirt rode up during training and exposed his happy trail made Jacqui (and Jin) feel like a Victorian man seeing an ankle for the first time.

The Shirai Ryu doesn’t really do technology, but Takeda has a really old flip phone that he refuses to part with. So old it still has flappy bird, Cassie keeps trying to buy it off him, claiming it a ‘modern artifact’. But he rejects every offer.

Frost has insomnia and bad night terrors. When she can’t sleep she’ll make herself tea. She has run into Noob Saibot just standing in the kitchen several times, but she’s convinced she hallucinated the encounters and doesn’t want to stress out Kuai Liang by telling him. Spoiler: He was there, just using what little humanity he has left to check up on his brother.

Jin was a serial dine and dasher, the only reason he stopped was because he was subjected to Fujin’s disappointed state for an entire week when joined the Shaolin.

Cassie can’t STAND spicy food. Which is weird since both Johnny and Sonya enjoy it. It gives her heartburn.

Jacqui loves to wear jewelry but rarely does so because she sees it as impractical. Really wants to get her belly button pierced.

Kuai Liang

Kuai had a funny feeling in his stomach when you weren’t turning up for your training, noticing you were sleeping in and not eating.

He tries to raise this with Bi-Han.

“They’re just been a typical teenager, do not worry about them”

But Kuai knew something was wrong when you haven’t showed up for training in almost a week.

He ventured to your room and gently knocked on your door before opening it.
