(1) (4) (5) (6) This is how a Greek beach looks like during winter. This photograph was taken on Kantia beach, 30 minutes from the town of Nafplio. (2) Dimorphotheca ecklonis is an ornamental plant that is native to South Africa. This plant contains hydrocyanic acid, which makes it poisonous if consumed. (3) Cakile Maritima (Sea rocket) is a beautiful seaside annual plant found mostly in Europe, north Africa and western Asia. It is also present in North America on the East and the West coast, where it has the potential to become an invasive species.

Morea sisyrinchium fotografata qualche anno fa sul basso ionio. La popolazione di quest'area sarebbe anche protetta, ma i cartelli sono stati rimossi. I would not really call Candy Claws shoegaze. Many of the reviews mentioned this - yes the vocals sound shoegazy, but the music isn't anywhere close.

"Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time was the 4th album from this Fort Collins, Colorado band. Members of the band later formed Sound of Ceres (Joyful Noise Recordings) with members of The Apples in Stereo and The Drums.

This album is a concept album developed with the help of poet Jenn Morea. The album tells the story of a white seal named Ceres and a little girl named Calypso traveling through the Mesozoic Era. The music does give one the sense of a wondrous world and story. To me the music does recall the work of any number of Elefant 6 bands (i.e. Of Montreal or The Apples in Stereo) and MGMT.

This is a 10-year anniversary release and comes with a bonus CD. It is being reissued by the original label - Twosyllable Records.

What art will replace the burning bodies and dead minds this society is creating?” stated Ben Morea in Black Mask #3, 1967

Founded in New York City in the mid-1960s by self-educated ghetto kid and painter Ben Morea, Black Mask melded the ideas and inspiration of Dada and the Surrealists, with the anarchism of the Durruti Column. With a theory and practice that had much in common with their contemporaries the Diggers, Dutch Provos, and the French Situationists—the group intervened spectacularly in the art, politics and culture of their times. From shutting down the Museum of Modern Art to protesting Wall Street’s bankrolling of war, from battling with Maoists at SDS conferences to defending the Valerie Solanas shooting of Andy Warhol, Black Mask successfully straddled the counterculture and politics of the 60s, and remained the Joker in the pack of both sides of "The Movement."

By 1968 Black Mask dissolved into "The Family" (popularly known as Up Against The Wall Motherfucker—the name to which they signed their first leaflet), which combined the confrontational theater and tactics of Black Mask with a much more aggressively "street" approach in dealing with the police, and authorities. Dubbed a "street gang with analysis" they were reputedly the only white grouping taken seriously by the Black Panther Party, and influenced everyone from the Weathermen to the "hippy" communal movements.
