in like the very first episode or two of season 2 freddie said in character, and i quote: "i will go on youtube and look at how to draw anime eyes really good. i will create a deviantart," which just completely convinced me of what i already knew: taylor would be one of those weeb art kids who would have ocs. ABSO FUCKIN LUTELY

additionally i think scary wouldve already been into drawing but taylor wouldve been the one to get her actually into the oc art sphere and she wouldve made one too. and i think scarys sona would be one of those super dark edgy moonwolves with big wings, highlights in their hair, and wrist warmers. real angel with a shotgun nightcore version core. thank you for your time

Since you’re actively trying to Kill Me Dead with your fivan fic prompts, I’ve decide to embrace a ‘if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em’ philosophy. Ahem. /clears throat. It’s truly a tragedy that I’ve not yet read a fic where Jesper compliments Ivan’s pretty face and Fedyor overhears. /bats eyelashes (is this working???). :)

It is two months since Fedyor and Ivan have been reunited, trying to stumble their way into understanding what on earth they're going to do now and what side they are supposed to fight for, whether these rumors of Kirigan being alive are real and what that means for them, when they arrive in a tavern close to the Fjerdan border and decide to stop for a drink. And it's there when Fedyor looks over, does a double take, and hisses, "Nina? What are you doing here?"

His fellow Heartrender, his friend, who he valiantly tried to save from the maniacal druskelle in their last meeting like this, stares back at him. "Fedyor," she says. "What are you -- ?"

"It doesn't matter," Fedyor says. "Are you alone? You should come with us. Ivan and I will keep you safe."

"I'm not..." Nina looks deeply uncomfortable. "Not... alone."

"What?" Fedyor follows her eye line to the other five people gathered at a table across the way, who seem vaguely familiar. Then he catches sight of the same maniac druskelle, the very same, and leaps to his feet. "Nina! What in the name of the Saints is -- "

"Shut up!" Nina hisses, jumping up with him and putting her hand over his mouth. "You don't know what's going on here!"

"That's the druskelle, Matthias Helvar, who -- "

"Fedyor, if you ruin things for me with him again, I swear -- "

While this is going on, a sudden, sepulchral roar echoes through the tavern, rattling off the roof. "YOU!"

Everyone whirls around, just as an utterly apoplectic Ivan leaps to his feet, throws out both hands, and the tall Zemeni man across the way chokes and staggers sideways as he suddenly can no longer breathe. Nina shrieks, then grabs Ivan's arm and pulls it down, breaking his stranglehold on the other man's heart. "Ivan! Don't -- "

"That," Ivan roars, "is the bastard who shot me three times in Ryevost and then pushed me off the skiff in the Fold! I am going to KILL HIM!"

The tavern patrons are scrambling for every available exit, desperate not to be caught in the middle of a Grisha throwdown, as Fedyor snaps upright like a hunting dog catching the scent. "He did... what?"

"Oh no," the Zemeni man says. "It's Kirigan's crazy sidekick. I knew I really shouldn't have been such a softie, but the pretty face -- "

Fedyor doesn't bother answering. His eyes turn as red as his kefta, as he slams his power at the other man so violently that it launches him bodily across the room. Someone yells, "JESPER!" and the Zemeni man -- Jesper -- barely manages to catch himself. Then he throws out a hand in reflex, and the knives on a nearby table speed back toward Fedyor, who ducks. What the -- ?

"I knew you were something!" Ivan bellows. "A Materialki, is it?"

Jesper stops short, swears, gets driven to his knees again as Fedyor redoubles his efforts to give him a serious heart attack, and the melee is only broken by Nina diving in the middle and disrupting Fedyor's line of sight. He tries to push her aside, but she pushes back, and Fedyor stumbles backward, still breathing like a grampus. "You did," he snarls at Jesper, "WHAT?"

"I wouldn't have if I knew he had an equally pretty but very fierce boyfriend. Saints." Jesper, panting, holds up his hands. "Come now. Truce? All right? Truce. In my defense, he was also trying to kill me."

"Maim," Ivan promises, face deadly. "At least."

"No maiming!" Nina screams, startling everyone. "I swear it's like nursery school all over again! Shall we start over?"

Fedyor and Ivan fold their arms and glare. Jesper and company do likewise. Nina sighs deeply.

This is going to be even harder than she thought.

   ❝   yeah , true. all very true. but i’m just now realizing there are consequences to me falling and bashing my skull !  ❞ perhaps this was this strangest part of motherhood for dora , a very real and sudden sense of self preservation. climbing a tree was no longer just climbing a tree , as they were finding out at this very moment.

   ❝   remus , you know i love you very much , but i feel like if your tried to catch me you’d snap like a twig.  ❞ eyes avoided the ground , fingers stiff around the branches that were keeping the witch stable. they took a deep breath , then another. maybe one more , just for good measure. but then his threat words floated up their place on the tree and dora couldn’t help the whine that came next.

  ❝   what ? no , that’s -- that’s not fair. oh you cheeky devil.  ❞  there was a kind of fire in their eyes , all sense of self and space lost. the grasp of dora’s fingers slackened.  ❝   i swear when i get down there-- ❞ and as if the threat was the final straw , dora’s footing gave way and in a poetic kind of irony they began to fall.

- sucruor -> in-universe vampires

- fae -> including true fae, sprites, brownies & pixies. true fae are human sized, pretentious, and fierce, basically self-obsessed humans with wings. sprites are small, silly and playful, often more protective of the environment than other faefolk; often banished for a couple decades when the fae get annoyed, but are usually treated like the fae’s children. brownies live only in some villages, in large communities. they are makers and fixers, so these villages tend to have many visitors as well as carpentry shops and bakeries. pixies are the smallest and most mischievous fae creatures, often at least partially mal-intentioned. they have been banished by wizards and other fae creatures to the very deep parts of certain forests.

- nymphs -> of many different kinds

- dragons -> actually, “dragon” singular. their name is logan.

- centaurs & satyrs -> these will perhaps receive an in-universe name sometime soon but they’re pretty much the same as usual

- moonwolves & moonlions -> in-universe werewolves & were-cats

- mages -> including wizards, warlocks, sorcerers, and hags (in-universe witches; NOT the same as wizards)

- elves -> do they actually exist?? are they a myth??? hmmmm….

- hobgoblins -> they maybe exist but also they’re a bit of a wives’ tale used when things go missing/are destroyed mysteriously. ie, this vase fell off the table when all the adults were out of the house, but the teenagers claim nobody had guests and they were all in their room and they don’t have the faintest clue what happened? must have been the hobgoblins, i guess /s. often families have names for “their” hobgoblin—these names are often reminiscent of their children’s names…hmm…

If only for her wings, she managed to push Remus aside. Of course, Snape’s spell bound her up tight, and she whimpered as her wings were quite restricted. The ropes cut into her, and she felt as if her wings were going to slice apart, like when a wire cuts through clay.

But Remus was still on his feet, and that was good enough.

Hey! So a question I've had, I'm still not clear on what Azi and Olga's deal/spell was? Even as a poison-neutralization with the stipulation that Olga becomes what she fears most by harming a wolf witch afterwards, Olga's brief wolfiness after punching Azi seems more like an extension of the moonwolf infection, so is Azi's "you'll become what you hate most" more of a personal jab or actual threat of transformation, and if it is, how can Azi actually invoke that?

So there are some explanations as to what could be going on here.

1) Azi is totally bullshiting. She doesn’t actually have the ability to turn Olga into a Wolf Witch, first of all because Wolf Witches =/= Moonwolves. Being a Wolf Witch is not an infection you can spread, like being a Moonwolf. It’s a learned skill, passed down in families. More of a cultural heritage. Azi knows all this and is just bullshiting her way through the situation to scare Olga, so Olga won’t hurt her, or her family, once she’s healed.

2) Azi is partially bullshiting. All of the above still applies, but. Azi has a very good nose. And Olga’s Moowolfiness has never fully left her, as we all know. Azi can smell that. She can tell there is Something Up with Olga, and she’s using this to scare her. A bit of a gamble. An informed threat, you could say.

3) Azi is telling the truth. She can indeed do what she says she can. That being said… Olga already is that what she hates the most. We know Abraham told her that she can’t contact her family because she is a Helsing. Olga agreed to this easily. Now tell me… in her heart of hearts, after all those years, do you think Olga really, truly, doesn’t know Abraham was lying?

Now, which of these is the truth, if any……………………………… what do you think, dear reader?

fossa-based werewolf creatures would be TERRIFYING to face, good lord. I've also been interested in the idea of gelada baboon based werewolves, myself. (not asking for another write up, just sharing because your post reminded me how much I like different versions of werewolves, and how spooky the webcomic Sister Claire's "moonwolves" are)

I know. Could you imagine these things with wolfy fur?

The baboons are quite freaky too, but I find all non-human primates nestles quite firmly in uncanny valley. Gibbon skeletons are particularly nightmarish.
