The ghost of a witch hunter haunts two realms.

SYNOPSIS:

Between picking up the pieces in the wake of the Day Of Unity and its aftermath, reconnecting with Raine, helping King come to terms with his newfound identity and being there for Luz as she navigates a life split between the Boiling Isles and Connecticut, Eda Clawthorne has a lot on her plate.

Taking on another, seemingly-impossible project at this point, especially one that seems particularly ill-advised, is probably not the wisest decision. But then, Eda has never been one to take the easy path in life.

And she made a promise.

AKA - The one where Eda takes it upon herself to give The Collector a second chance, and faces the challenges that go along with it.

I’m a huge fan of @a-e-redacted’s “Moonshadow” and I was curious to see what @regular-gnome’s (love them too) poster would look like if my Archivist OC, the Giver, was the protagonist of the fanfic (Since I feel like Moon’s personality would fit her well more than Canon Collector lol)

Thank you!! I’m so glad you have enjoyed it.

This story has been a true labor of love, going from something I (delusionally!) thought I could knock out in the months between TOH seasons 2 and 3, to the massive beast of a fanfic it has become.

The Collector is such a fascinating character and getting to play around with expanding on their personality and story, even if it ended up being a bit different from what canon gave us, has been a joy.

Somehow I’m gonna’ figure out how to give the kid a hug, fictional character or not!

I really cannot stress enough what getting feedback like this means to me.

Although I’m sorry about the sleep deprivation!

I was up until 4am reading this thing and got so deep into it, that I had a dream about it and now the anxiety of having to wait for the next chapter is killing me. The butterflies in my stomach have come to attack me and they won’t go away.

in all seriousness, this fic is excellent! Granted, I didn’t get the best sleep afterwards and I felt like vomiting and having an emotional breakdown at the same time after chapter 11, but the story does slowly become sweeter and sweeter with each chapter once all the angst and such is over. But do I regret it? Not a bit!

Despite it being an AU, I got to know The Collector a crapton and just desperately want to give the kid the tightest hug imaginable after this. They’ve been through way too much in their life and they aren’t deserving of it. Highly recommend this story! 10/10!
