The developers at Massive Monster, however, proved everyone wrong with Cult of Lamb, a title that merges mechanics from the roguelike and farm management genre. Both systems beautifully rely on each other, making the game truly feel like one of a kind. But for players who just can’t get enough of Cult of the Lamb, here are a handful of titles that can scratch the itch for both roguelike and farm management.

Chapter 2: Looking for the Moon
Narrated by Nikki.
~~
One of the little lambs was afraid of the dark. Every night, it needed the moonlight to fall asleep. When they heard the moon had disappeared, the little lamb’s family decided to go and find it.
The lamb’s father put on a wolf-skin and joined a wolf pack. He suspected one of them had swallowed it on the night of the full moon. But the wolves said it had been a crescent moon lately, and none of them felt much like eating it.
The little lamb’s mother tucked in her legs and joined the clouds. The clouds were debating whether or not the moon had fallen from the sky, and suggested she might find it in a lake.
The little lamb’s sister went down to a lake to look for it. She couldn’t swim, but fortunately there was a gondola-shaped boat by the shore. She rowed the boat across the perfect blue surface of the lake, but could find no trace of the moon.
Night was coming, and the moon was nowhere to be seen. The world was about to be smothered in complete darkness. The sheep family were all very worried, but dusk was coming all the same.
All they could do was pray for dawn. A voice from the darkness then spoke, “Fear not. I will help you find the moon.”
As night fell, the little lamb’s sister noticed to her great surprise the gondola-shaped boat she had found started to glow very faintly, growing brighter and brighter, until the whole world was bathed in its light.
The boat had been the moon all along. One by one, the little lambs lifted the moon back up into the sky.
~~
Nikki: What happened then?
Narrator: I asked Yoyo, desperate to know what happened next.
Yoyo: And that’s why people count sheep before they go to sleep... because the little sheep are looking after the moonlight.
Yoyo: And the dark isn’t scary at all. Because when you think about it, you really need the darkness to see the light.
Narrator: That was my favorite bedtime story.
Narrator: Even though Yoyo’s storytelling was a bit disjointed and she wasn’t very clear on the details.
Nikki: How did the sheep know the moon had gone?
Yoyo: Uh... They just did.
Nikki: Why did the moon fall down?
Yoyo: Why are you always asking why?
Narrator: Yoyo picked up Little Lamb next to my pillow and tucked it under the blanket with me.
Yoyo: ...There! Now you’ve got Little Lamb, there’s no need to be scared of the dark!
Narrator: Yoyo tucked me in and gently stroked my cheek.
Yoyo: Okay, okay. Close your eyes. Think happy thoughts.
