Welcome to my blog!
I'm just an anxious autistic girl who is utterly obsessed with Stardew Valley's resident introvert, Sebastian! Here you can...
~ View Sebby art I've reblogged
~ Learn more about my farmer, Lily
~ Visit Lily's home, Moonlight Farm
If you're looking for my stories about Seb & Lily, sadly I had to take them all down for mental health reasons. You can read my post about it here.

Nicknames!
Some petnames/nicknames between the two, the difference in saying them, and an example! Dev to Shane: - Love (anywhere)   > "Hello love, care to dance?" - Gorgeous (at home, calming)   > "Oh Gorgeous...I'm sorry that I worried you today, but I'm home now" - Grumpy (at home, teasing)   > "Good morning to you too grumpy" - Blueberry (at home, clingy)   >"awwww but blueberryyy I wanna cuddle a bit longer" - Blue (anywhere, casual, no idea how this one got started, but it’s Dev favorite to say)   > "Hey blue have you see my axe?" - Dork (anywhere, it's his most used other then blue)   > "No I'm not making fun of you ya dork, just come sit down" - Sweet Pepper (at home, compliment)   > "Look at you! Aren't you just the sweetest pepper"
Dev loves calling Shane nicknames, but knows there’s a time and place. He’ll also only pull out certain one’s to let Shane know he’s being as serious as possible. Any iteration of ‘Honey’ ‘Honey-bee’ ‘hun’ is Dev being serious.
Shane to Dev: - Babe (in public, casual)   > "Hey babe, check out what Emily made for the festival" - Handsome (in public, teasing)   > "well hello there handsome, didn't know you'd be here today" - Sweetheart (Anywhere, calming, very rarely said in public but it has happened)   > "You had me scared to death sweetheart, c’mon lets get you home” - chickadee (at home, casual)   > "Good morning chickadee" - bugaboo (Anywhere, teasing)   > "Hey bugaboo, I'll see you after work okay. Unless you already miss me that much~" - Stardust (at home)   > "you're my favorite stardust, and I'm not going anywhere"
Shane isn’t the biggest fan of PDA, including saying pet names around other people. but he’s a big ol softie and uses them constantly when it’s just the two of them. His favorites are Dove or Chickadee. But he knows Dev’s favorite to hear is Stardust, but he only pulls that out when he needs Dev to know he’s serious. Both of them have a word like that and it works great when either of them are overly stressed or having a panic attack.

This sideblog is a personal project to show off some pictures of the home of my farmer Lily and her beloved husband Sebastian. I'm a complete autistic nerd, and the world of Stardew Valley and the sweet emo boy it contains is one of my main hyperfixations.
A lot of time and effort has gone into Moonlight Farm. Not only the farm and interiors have been decorated but also the entire town and surrounds. After twenty in-game years of playing, you end up with a lot of free time, and so... the whole map got a revamp!
I've made a list of my aesthetic mods, of which there are a LOT!
Mod List
Click the read more link for my notes on the new 1.6 update!
1.6 UPDATE: Some of these mods will now be outdated due to the new Stardew release. All DGA mods in particular are now obsolete in 1.6, but I imagine most AT mods will still work, and I have noticed some modders already working on converting certain files to the new CP format. If there are no official updates for a mod that no longer works, please keep your eye on the posts page for each mod, as often people will add links to unofficial updates there. As for me, I won't be updating Moonlight Farm as it would be way too much work and break far too many things! I'll be using my backup computer to play 1.6 and to ensure that Lily's precious farm stays safe and sound!

Literally any nickname makes Dev’s heart melt. Shane calls him chickadee, bugaboo, and stardust. And each time Dev just wants to squeeze him.  Shane is a big fan of the hugs, since they make him feel safe.
Also an interaction based on a cut scene I got as soon as year three started: Dev left the house like it’s any other day, but was soon stopped by his husband following him out the door.  “Wait Dev, before you head out for the day...” Once Dev turned around to face him, he continued on. He thanked Dev for being there for him, and how his life had changed for the better because of Dev and his farm. “For once in my life, I’m happy with my life, and where it’s headed.”
Dev walked back up the steps and engulfed his husband in a big loving hug. “You don’t have to thank me for anything dork, I’m just happy you’re here”
Shane rolled his eyes slightly, but then looked up at his husband. “Can I be really cheesy and ask something...?” “Of course!” “Would you like to dance with me? It’ll just be me and you, together in front of the farm that changed our lives.” He looked at Dev for a response but was only met with a wide smile and a nod. Shane smiled back and moved to set up the radio.  Soon music filled the air, and the pair danced quietly on their porch, in front of the farm that both of them had begun to call home.
FARMER FRIENDS, you get two in one day. This one’s simple!!
What is your favorite detail or interaction between your farmer and their spouse/Krobus?

By the Shores of Silver Lake was my least favorite Little House book as a kid, and upon starting the reread, I could see why. Earlier books had Laura as a child observer--not engaging in or totally understanding the wider world of the adults, but still engrossed in the simple joys of childhood. In this book, Laura is neither child nor adult--she's too old to play like a child, but she's too young to take an active part in adult life, so she's stuck in this awkward middle ground.
Yet as the book went on, I started to see that that was the point. This book is about growing up, about being on the brink of adulthood and trying to hold onto childhood while also becoming someone new. Laura's growing-up is paralleled with the "growing up" of the country around her. Both the old and the new ways of life have their benefits and their downsides, and Laura has to figure out how to hold onto the best of both.
The prairie is beautiful, wondrous, free. Laura would love to just roam forever, always traveling west, always seeing new places. She doesn't want to marry, doesn't want to teach school, doesn't want anything to change about her way of life. But one can't stay a child forever. Eventually, the infinite possibility of childhood has to turn into the definite identity of adulthood. She has to take responsibility and settle down. The arrival of the town brings that adult life to the prairie, and in doing so, it destroys the innocent wonders of nature--the majestic wolves lose their home, the buffalo are gone, and the ducks no longer land at Silver Lake. Laura has to wrestle with this--is childhood, for herself and the prairie, gone forever? Does she have to let go of childlike wonder and embrace the mundane responsibility of adult life?
This theme is resolved when Laura finds Grace in the buffalo wallow. It's a place of impossible magic and beauty, a carpet of fragrant violets hidden away from the world with butterflies flying overhead, so perfect it seems like a fairyland. Of course Grace, the innocent child, is the one who was able to find it. When Laura asks Pa about it later, he explains that the "fairies" that made this magical ring were buffalo. There's a mundane explanation for the phenomenon, but that doesn't destroy the wonder and beauty of the place--adult knowledge enhances, rather than destroys childlike wonder. The buffalo might be gone, but there's still beauty left behind. Laura can move forward into the future and know that there are still wonders to find. She can be an adult and still maintain a childlike wonder, can take responsibility and still find comfort in the safety of home and family.
This thematic resonance made so much about the book so much deeper. It's the message of the entire series distilled into story form. Remember the past, children, but go forth boldly into the future. It's a message much easier to see with an adult's eyes, so I'm so glad I gave this book another chance.

Ngl I'm kind of dillydallying around my own SDV fixation and i'd KILL to see what your brain is doing to this game like i for one would eat up dat stuff UP . . .
I love the way this is phrased; genuinely 😭💖 like im a force of nature tearing through any new interest like its made of wet tissue paper 💥💥💥
I thought about it some more and i will (eventually) make an sdv blog. Its going to be a mess having all my interests on one dashboard (im lazy and i dont want to sign in and out all the time for diff accounts lol) but i need sdv stuff in sight or ill explode. For now tho i will ramble about random hcs rattling around in my brain
- The valley is FULL of magic, but not alot of Magical Beings that utilize that magic. If the residents of pelican town knew more about magic, there would be alot more wizards than just. The Wizard.
- Everyone in pelican town has some kind of latent magic, or at the very least, an affinity or sensitivity to magic. I like to think that magic builds in very secluded corners of their world and the area including (and surrounding) pelican town is simply one of those places.
-(sorry, i am just obsessed with Places and Magic) I like the idea of your farmer being drawn to pelican town bc they have a bit of magic in them. The letter is just A Letter, but it is the desire to see this town that makes them leave their old life behind. I am obsessed w the idea that the magic in the farmer craves the valley bc it sees the valley as its home, and by extension, the farmer sees the valley as their home. The people of pelican town rarely leave bc the magic in them sees the valley as their home always. The biggest examples of this are Kent, Demetrius, Evelyn, Emily and Shane. The huge exceptions to this (still workin on it) are lewis and sebastian; lewis bc i see him as a normal, non-magical being trying to wrangle the weirdness of this town, and sebastian bc his feelings of isolation and not being understood propels him to crave the world outside of the valley. (That changes a bit if u befriend him/romance him)
-(shane is weird bc hes super depressed and lonely but his happiness comes from his new ‘ragtag family’ (his words) and his very Not Normal chickens. The animals of the valley love him bc he loves them and he becomes tied to the valley bc of it. Marnie has always loved the animals of the valley and some of the love they had for her definitely rubbed off onto shane, who very openly admits he loves the chickens 💙)
-I wasnt very fond of the idea of purple=magic but i think that was bc i often saw it as a way to tie-in the wizard and abigail. I am still trying to get through the friendships for everyone but rn it doesnt feel like theres any connection between them (and caroline). But. I do like the idea of odd, unnatural colors coming through bc of magic. Alex and Pierre having normal brown hair; Haley and Sam being true blondes. BUT. Shane and Jas having purple-ish hair. Emily and Caroline have blue toned hair. Even vincent have pinkish hair 🥺💖 (and dare i say….sebastian with purple/black hair like shane 👀…maybe he has more magic in him than hed like to believe). Abigail doesnt count bc from what ive seen, Caroline laments about her daughters dyed hair. “When she was younger it used to be chestnut brown” which…awww she took after her dad lol.
- LAST THING. This is not an hc i am just mad about this. I cannot believe the game doesnt allow u to befriend Marlon. What the fuck. What the fuck !!! I love him!!! I want to be friends w the chill monster slayer! Im a monster slayer too!!! Let me give him gifts !!! Fuck ! 😭😭😭💥💥💥💥 Also. I know how to write old man yaoi. They shouldve let me do a romance path for willy, clint and marlon. And the wizard i guess but someone already did that. Linus doesnt count bc hes ascended the need for human romance; hes one w nature (read. aroace). And we (linus and willy and the farmer) already co-raise leo so that counts for something i think 🤔
