synopsis: After months of nonstop work, you convince Francis to take a much-needed romantic getaway. Between cozy mornings, starlit kisses, and quiet moments by the lake, the two of you finally get the time to reconnect.

You had been working non-stop for months, and Francis wasn’t much better off. Between coordinating OWCA missions and managing agents, his life was a whirlwind of stress. One evening, as you sat on the couch with him, you noticed the deep lines on his face and the way he rubbed his temples absently.

"Francis," you said softly, placing your hand on his. "You need a break. We both do."

He sighed, leaning back. "You're probably right. But the agency—"

"Can survive a weekend without you," you interrupted with a knowing smile. "Come on, let’s go somewhere. Just the two of us."

“You’re leaving for how long?” Carl asked, looking at Francis with a mixture of shock and concern.

“A weekend,” Francis replied firmly, crossing his arms. “And before you say anything, Carl, yes, the agency can survive without me for two days. I’m not irreplaceable. It’s been cleared with HQ, besides, Perry can handle anything that comes up.”

“Agent P is the best,” Monty chimed in, leaning against the desk with a smirk. “But are you sure you’re not running away to avoid Doofenshmirtz’s latest Inator fiasco?”

Francis gave his son a flat look. “Montgomery, if I wanted to avoid that, I would’ve retired years ago. And besides, you were the one who spilled hot sauce all over my paperwork yesterday. This trip is overdue.”

Monty grinned sheepishly. “Fair enough. I guess you deserve a break. Just make sure you don’t come back with some weird tan line or a souvenir Doof invented.”

Carl piped up, still nervous. “But, Major, what if something happens? Like… Doof’s ‘Make-Everyone-Speak-Whale-Inator’? Or, worse, the return of the Noodliferous-Inator?”

Francis raised a hand to cut Carl off. “Carl, if Doofenshmirtz tries to turn the world into a spaghetti dinner again, you call Perry. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my wife and I have a very romantic getaway planned, and I intend to enjoy every second of it.”

You looped your arm through Francis’s, offering Carl a sympathetic smile. “Don’t worry, Carl. We’ll bring you back a snow globe or something.”

Carl perked up. “Oh! If they have one with a platypus wearing sunglasses, I’d really like that.”

The cabin was perfectly tucked away in the woods, perched on the edge of a crystal-clear lake. It was quiet, private, and absolutely perfect. The moment you stepped inside, Francis seemed to relax. The tension in his shoulders eased, and he let out a long sigh as he looked around.

“Finally,” he murmured. “No distractions. Just us.”

On your first morning, you woke to the smell of coffee and something sizzling on the stove. You wandered into the kitchen to find Francis standing there, wearing an apron that read, “Grill it up, Dad-style!”—a gift from Monty that he clearly brought as a joke.

“Good morning, sweetheart,” he said, his voice warm. He held up a spatula. “I tried my hand at bacon and eggs. Let’s hope this goes better than the time Doof tried to make ‘evil waffles.’”

You laughed, kissing his cheek. “Well, as long as it doesn’t involve self-aware pancake batter, I think we’re safe.”

Later that evening, after a simple but delicious dinner, you found yourself standing on the back deck with Francis, the cool night air brushing against your skin. The stars glittered above, and the faint sound of the lake lapping against the shore filled the silence.

Francis came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you back against his chest. His breath was warm against your ear as he leaned down. “You know,” he murmured, his voice low and intimate, “this trip was a brilliant idea. I can’t remember the last time I had you all to myself like this.”

You tilted your head back to look at him, smiling. “It’s been too long, hasn’t it?”

“Far too long,” he agreed, his hands sliding up to rest on your hips. “And now that I’ve got you here, I don’t plan on wasting a single second.”

He turned you around, his hands framing your face as he kissed you deeply, his lips moving against yours with a mix of hunger and tenderness. The kiss left you breathless, your fingers clutching at his sweater as he pulled you closer.

When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, and he smiled, his voice a soft rumble. “I’ve got half a mind to carry you upstairs right now.”

You smirked, brushing a thumb over his cheek. “Only half a mind?”

He chuckled, the sound low and warm. “Maybe a little more than half,” he admitted, his hands sliding down to your lower back. “But let’s not rush.”

The two of you ended up back inside, curled up on the couch in front of the fire. Francis’s hands wandered as you leaned into him, tracing lazy patterns along your spine. His kisses grew deeper, more insistent, and before you knew it, you were lying back against the cushions, his weight pressing into you.

"I don’t say this enough," Francis began, his voice soft as he looked into your eyes. "But I love you. I know I get caught up in work sometimes, but… thank you for being here. For putting up with it all."

You reached for his hand, squeezing it gently. "I’ll always be here, love. You’re worth it."

He smiled, leaning in to kiss you tenderly. The crackling fire and the warmth of his touch made the moment feel timeless.

As the weekend went on, it was full of simple, quiet joys—long walks by the water, homemade meals in the cabin, and stolen kisses under the stars.By the time you returned home, you both felt recharged and closer than ever—though not before stopping at a gift shop to grab Carl his platypus snow globe.

LORE P&F X GENSHIN AU

You guys (at least some of you guys) wanted an update about the lore of an AU I've started for fun (seriously idk what I was even thinking of)

Please take into consideration that this might be subject to lots of updates heh~

So to start things off, I began on the universe with a light note with some comedic banter between Cyno and Sethos, and with the title I've given the dialogue, I'm quite sure you could guess who was who. Cyno was Perry the platypus and Sethos is Dr. Doofinsmirtz.

Okay, now for the casting for the rest of the characters. Only one problem.......there isn't any.

Most of the characters can't be 'cast' per se with nobody from Genshin having barely or any similar traits to the characters of Phineas and Ferb. I've got a few, however.

Isabella: Nilou

Baljeet: Nahida

Buford: Scaramouche

Major Monogram: Azar (don't give me hate comments yet be patient pls)

Monty (I think that's his name?): Alhaitham

Carl: Xingqiu (Don't ask (Seriously imagine this guy singing that one song Carl sang))

For the people thinking 'What about Phineas and Ferb?! They're the main characters you should've at least cast them right!'

...yeah about that there is no Phineas and Ferb. I'll explain that right now.

The actual show of Phineas and Ferb is about them along with their entire gang of friends doing crazy and insane things on every day of their summer in an attempt to make the most out of it, inventing the wildest and wackiest inventions while their sister Candace tried to 'bust' them and get them in trouble with their parents.

Well, this is Genshin, we all know it's gonna be more complicated (and possibly more depressing) than that. So, I was thinking, since I've previously confirmed the existence of the Akademia in this universe, then obviously most of the Sumeru characters attend it.

So, instead of them being a couple of kids just enjoying their summer, maybe the Sumeru gang could be doing the same thing, making all of those crazy inventions, but with a different intent. The Akademia being the Akademia, could give the kids a summer long project to invent something extraordinary!

Kaveh, Tighnari, Cyno, Faruzan, Layla, Nahida, and Scaramouche have met each other on a couple of occasions and have become accquaintances, and had decided this project was far too big to simply do by themselves and have decided to team up with each other and do the project while maybe having a little bit of fun at the same time

Nilou, Dehya and Candace occasionally join the group because of common friends (Layla and Cyno)

Remember when I made Azar Major monogram? Yeah there's a good reason for that! I said in the previous episode that Cyno worked as a secret agent for the Akademia? Well, the Akademia is disguised as a school, but has secret intentions to take over not just Sumeru with their ideals, but the world!

Cyno was recruited into the Akademia's secret agents as a part of Project Hermanubis. He was an orphan who was taken into the Akademia after being abandoned as a child and soon began displaying strange powers. The Akademia grew interested in what these powers could potentially be and made him an 'agent' in exchange of providing him food, shelter and an education and a vow of silence. When the Akademia could finally have Cyno's complete loyalty and trust, his powers would be at their disposal.

The Akademia didn't want to give Cyno the jobs of an actual agent and risk him finding out their true intentions just yet, but needed to give him a job to maintain his status as an agent, and Sethos' ridiculous plots were the perfect way to do it.

Sethos was part of a cult of geniuses called the temple of silence, who's motto was to make the world a better place and had connections to the actual Hermanubis. Hermanubis however was considered as a curse because of his powers. Hermanubis wasn't considered a god to the people in this universe.

Unbeknownst to Cyno, Sethos also had the power of Hermanubis passed down to him. When the cult found out of these powers, they exiled him from the it in fear of him becoming too powerful, as Hermanubis' powers brought chaos and destruction instead of peace and harmony like the cult had intended. Out of anger and humiliation of being exiled, Sethos attempts to blow up the secret base of the temple of silence.

The Akademia decides to send Cyno on this mission to foil Sethos' plan, so Cyno goes in, completely blind of Sethos' motivations for the said bombing and manages to succeed his first mission. Sethos, despite being foiled and humiliated yet again, he found a certain rush of adrenaline that he particularly enjoyed carrying out his evil scheme, so why did he need to stop?

So he came up with more and more schemes for Cyno to foil. The Akademia found this as the perfect distraction for Cyno and assigned Sethos as his arch-nemesis. Meanwhile, Sethos finds himself strangely enjoying Cyno's company, which in turn motivates him to come up with more and more ridiculous schemes.

Cyno slowly realizes that Sethos isn't actually that evil, and even secretly finds himself enjoying Sethos' company as well. Soon, their relationship becomes much more than just hero vs villain. They become frenemies

Cyno goes for his missions while when the others invent their stuff and are quite oblivious, even believing Cyno's incredibly weak excuses. Well, everyone except for Tighnari, who was Cyno's best friend. He didn't know anything about Cyno's past and his powers and his current affiliation with the akademia.

Alhaitham is the prodigy of Azar, but Alhaitham doesn't admire him and has his suspicions, but isn't currently aware of the Akademia's misdeeds. Xingqiu is Alhaitham's intern and helps him with his stuff and really looks up to him, but would also like to get recognition as the intern.

Spence/abby: NCIS and Criminal Minds crossover leftover from when I was a baby bisexual whose parents watched copaganda murder mysteries. Autistic nerd x autistic goth supremacy.

In both shows they kind of live in their own bubble as the superspecialist. Imagine finally finding someone who can keep up with you. Somebody who matches your weirdness instead of joking about it like you're not there.

Abby's actress and Gibb's actor had some sort of (fight? Idk the exact tea but i think he harassed her and the network let him get away with it. fucked up man), but that contraint adds a whole new element to the writing. How do the kids of the teams act without their surrogate father figures? What would cause the young idealists to break from their dream careers and go rogue? How to they work together to lead a cobbled together new team when neither usually takes point?

*And how about directly acknowledging queerness and neurodivergency that the original writers wouldn't touch with a hazmat suit*

Additionally, Abby's actress and Penelope Garcia's actress are friends irl. It'd mame a viable miniseries or movie, it will never be done, but by god it COULD!!

Duckylove: a hyperspecific polycule between most of the teenagers in the dwampyverse cast. technically the basis is in the phineas and ferb cast, with candace dating jeremy, stacy, and vanessa, but it complicates from there. I usually have stacy and vanessa dating each other, along with stacy dating coltrane and vanessa dating monty. monty can also be dating carl it depends. from there theres the milo murphy's law cast, with sara dating candace and vanessa, along with neal. the hamster and gretel cast inclusion is kevin dating hiromi, whos dating stacy and sara as well. fred and jenny (and a buncha the other teens but less fully as these two) are also there but fred and jenny are aroace so they just kinda exist there.

I fully agree that Carl has the potential to be absolutely unhinged, but I maintain my belief that OWCA is only as humane as it is because of Carl’s involvement. I still deeply and sincerely believe that OWCA didn’t start letting their agents have host families until Carl, and that that’s part of why Dennis the Rabbit went rogue.

That being said, I don’t think Monty CAN fix him really, though he’ll certainly try. I think if anything Carl will make Monty worse, but in like a fun positive way. It’s an interesting dynamic to me partially BECAUSE Carl sees Monty as a threat, while Monty sees Carl as an overworked under-appreciated human being who deserves so much more. It’s Carl’s strange idolization of Monogram vs Monty’s bitterness towards his father, and Monty learning how terrible his father truly is through seeing how Monogram treats Carl. Carl wanting what Monty has, and Monty on some level wanting that for Carl too.

There is so much potential for them to become, like, a version of the James Bond x Q dynamic, except the James Bond is the grounded one and the Q is the unhinged one. And it’s also fascinating to me that Monty WANTS to be a secret agent, and is NATURALLY GOOD AT IT, is NATURALLY INCLINED towards keeping secrets and spying and scheming and manipulating the situation to make things work out the way he wants it to. And Carl WANTS to be the leader of OWCA, and is NATURALLY, OBVIOUSLY GOOD AT IT, to the point where in OWCA files Monogram is leader of OWCA basically in name only. (Carl EARNED that office goddamnit)

The one thing stopping both of them from accomplishing that is Monogram, but there’s an undeniable momentum they both have going towards that shared future and they WILL HAVE WHAT THEY WANT, no matter what HE says.

And like. Yeah. That’s WAY more interesting to me than the sort of supposedly “Star-crossed lovers” “look at my cool secret agent college boyfriend” “look at my hot goth evil scientist’s daughter girlfriend” thing that Monty and Vanessa have going on. (And I also think the seeds of that relationship’s demise were sewed by Monty himself, from the moment he insisted to Vanessa that her dad can’t know about their relationship.)

im uninvested in the broader pnf shipping enterprise outside of the manXplatypus thing but when i do think about monty, i think montnessa's kinda dull on both ends, it's fairly fated for an early grave. but also the other popular monty ship is him and carl, which is funny to consider. like i can see how monty would be a good balance for carl, the normal friend he desperately needs. on the other hand, carl's insanity is so precious, so dear. he's so horribly fucked up. why would i want to heal carl. i feel very "make him worse" about him but not for shipping reasons, just comedy reasons. i feel like the montycarl romance would somehow end with carl stabbing him, chasing him bloodsoaked down a street at night. monty barely getting out of there alive, permanently altered. it would be great
