I like how people usually come at this scene thinking Scarah is third wheeling Operetta and Johnny and like

No I think they’re all dating. They have Scarah in the middle. If they were just a little closer they’d all be holding hands. Johnny and Operetta are both dating Scarah.

Johnny doesn’t actually have a doll and that’s seriously a shame he’s one of the best designed male characters we got in early mh also his face shape is a lot of fun and I can imagine it being a wonderful sculpt for customizers too

Personal HCs that have a canonical basis

Jackson is a social butterfly who bounces around different groups of friends. Talks and interacts with many people at school. It's gotten to the point where everyone knows him and if you don't talk to him, then you know someone who does. It is a very strange situation. Nobody has any idea how he went from being "the social reject" for being "human", to being "I have a friend who knows him./I know him! He's a friend of mine."

After seeing Toralei become friends with Jackson, they stopped questioning the logic of her social life.

This for Holt is THE OPPOSITE.

The guy is a mystery. Nobody knows anything about him beyond the parties or the times he is seen attending classes. Holt never talks to anyone and every time someone tries to talk to him, he comes up with some lame, over-the-top excuse to escape. Then no one sees it. He is usually missing most of the time. The only ones who know where he is hiding are Operetta, Scarah, Johnny and Deuce.

While Holt enjoys partying, playing his music in public, and cheering on monsters at parties... He doesn't like interpersonal interactions. It's not that he's socially awkward, he's pretty good at it. He just doesn't tend to "click" very easily with others. Operetta is the one that understands him the most in this sense. In fact, she invited him to tour and explore the catacombs the first time. Now every time Holt disappears it's because he's down there practicing music, exploring, or walking through the passageways. Opi sometimes accompanies him when he gets bored or wants to clear his mind. They don't talk much, they just walk or play their music. It's a great thing for them.
