Punch Out x Monster High: Monster Institute

A crossover with video game, Punch Out, and cartoon series, Monster High (with inspiration from British sitcom, Mind Your Language)

Story:

The Monster Institute is a school for all ages that teaches monsters to adapt in mortal society. Every monster is given a class program and in our story, we will be focusing on the Human Etiquettes Class, taught by Doc Louis, a human who is a gym instructor and is passionate about teaching monsters basic human etiquette, but will he succeed? Class is now in session!

Cast:

Teacher: Doc Louis- a normal human who is the teacher of Human Etiquette, passionate and a love for chocolate bars

Students:

Little Mac (The Jackson Jekyll/Holton Hyde type)

Son of Jekyll and Hyde

Mac may look like a normal human but when exposed to loud music, he turns into Peter Pitch, a Hyde monster who loves sports and music. He sees Doc as more of a father figure and a mentor as well.

Star Mika (The Draculaura type)

Daughter of Count Dracula

Her mother id from a long line of Filipino vampires called Mananangal, who flies with their upper torso but she does not eat/like human flesh and prefers sweets. Mika may look sweet but don't get her angry or she'll scratch you. She loves learning about the mortal world, especially something called 'anime'.

Glass Joe (The Rochelle Goyle type but a little shy)

Son of the Gargoyle

A literal clean freak, Joe will be the first one to clean the classroom, he enjoys a nice cup of coffee and a baguette. He also happens to have feelings towards Mika.

Von Kaiser (The Frankie Stein type but more strict)

Son of Frankenstein

A boxing teacher and scientist, Kaiser is always tinkering with inventions and he does not like to swim since electricity and water don't mix well. A strict military type and often takes the role as 'class president'.

Disco Kid (The Twyla Boogeyman type but more of a party animal)

Son of the Boogeyman

A party monster, Disco loves to dance, listening to jazz and disco music but he's super clumsy when it comes to the difference between dancing and walking, a somewhat monster version of Michael Jackson, who he idolizes with a few other mortal singers and dancers. He often hangs out with Mac and Mika and he often carries a boombox to listen to music which results to Mac to turn into Peter Pitch.

King Hippo (The Posea Reef type but mute and a bit of a foodie)

Son of Maui

The son of the demigod of the wind and sea, a real eater. Hippo's appetite is infinite, he loves food, often sneaking food in class. He does not speak but has learn sign language thanks to Mika.

Piston Hondo (The Kiyomi Haunterly type but calm and collected)

Son of the Oni

Hondo is quiet and calm, an otaku and is never one to complain, he respects everyone in class. He loves showing Mika some anime which she would squeal in happiness whenever he gift her some anime merch. Hondo is also a very skilled warrior.

Bear Hugger (The Clawdeen Wolf type but is a bear and a animal lover)

Son of the Skinwalker

Bear can shapeshift into anything but is a big softie, a real sucker for nature and a huge fan of animals, he has a bear name Maple and a squirrel named Chipper. He loves maple syrup and often sleeps in class.

Great Tiger (The Gigi Grant type)

Son of the Djin

Tiger loves granting people wishes and performs magic tricks in front of his classmates, but of course, he often takes caution when granting wishes as the saying goes; 'be careful what you wish for.'

Don Flamenco (The Venus McFlytrap type but more romantic and is a demon)

Son of El Diablo (The Devil)

A real ladies man, professional matador and has a love for roses. Don is suave, handsome and charming, just don't make him mad or else you would face his wrath. Even though he has a girlfriend, a succubus named Carmen, Don is infatuated with Mika, however he often competes for her heart with Aran.

Aran Ryan (The Hybrid type)

Son of Leprechaun and Banshee

Being the son of two different monsters (aka a hybrid monster), Aran is equally mischievous and annoying, making him the class prankster. But he's actually a nice person, even though he doesn't show it. Always head-butting Don everytime he tries to swoon Mika, his 'favorite lass' as he likes to call her.

Soda Popinski (The Abby Bominable type but more cheerful)

Son of the Yeti

Soda, as his name stated, loves soda, he wears his heart on his sleeve and is a party monster just like Disco but he can be a sloppy drinker, often drinking soda in class all the time.

Bald Bull (The Manny Taur type)

Son of the Minotaur

Others might find angry but he's just serious. Bull is very camera shy and often gets short tempered when someone tries to evade his privacy, especially Don who often practice his matador skills on him.

Super Macho Man (The Gil Webber type but more egotistical)

Son of the Jersey Devil

Macho is an attention seeker, a wannabe superstar who loves to spoil Mac and Mika with a lot of gifts but the two of them, thought of him as 'a really caring but too spendthrift uncle'. Macho is also super rich, he loves too put money on the problem... sometimes.

Mr. Sandman (The Spectra Vondergeist type but more serious)

Son of a Sleep Paralysis Demon

Class monitor and often keeps anyone from beating each other to a pulp. Sandman always keep others from getting into trouble, he's also a Care Bear fan.

Human Behavioral 101

Teacher: Hoy Quarlow (The Elissabat type but more older)

Son of the Jiangshi (Chinese Vampire)

Hoy is the descendant of a long line of jiangshi (Chinese vampires) who used to be a kung fu master and now, he is a teacher in Human Behavioral 101. He often sleeps when he tries to make a lecture or start a lesson but he tries to keep focus for the class.

Birdie (The Heath Burns and Kjersti Trollsøn type)

Son of the Phoenix

Birdie is Mac and Mika's best friend and is a professional gamer known as 'Fire_Bird', very passionate with gaming but he also cherish everyone.

Gabby Jay (The Garrott DuRoque type but more older and gay)

Son of the Gargoyle

Like Joe, he's also a clean freak but sometimes he takes cleaning very seriously, the strict grandpa type. Sometimes, he always flirting with Doc Louis (shout out to @kingmintyreturns) after class, much to Mac and Birdie's dismay but Mika thought it was romantic.

Bob Charlie (The Mouscedes King type)

Son of the Rat Man

Bob is a professional DJ, calm, collected and cool, a very mellow guy. Bob is somewhat laid back and a soccer fan, he doesn't get angry easily but when it comes to someone who insults music.

Dragon Chan (The Jinafire Long type)

Son of the Dragon

Dragon is one of Hoy's best student and treats him like a son equally. Dragon is fast when it comes to reading but is always fumbling with his words sometimes.

Piston Hurricane (The Hoodude Voodoo type but more serious)

Son of the Weather Element

Being a weather element, Hurricane often controls his emotions when using his powers, being stoic and serious (think of him as the male counterpart of Pipa [Disney Encanto])

Masked Muscle (The Skelita Calaveras type but is a luchador and proud)

Son of the Chupacabra

A famous luchador who is also Macho's rival and the two often compete on who the strongest man is. He's quite proud and is quite the ladies man, much to Don's dismay.

Heike Kegero (The Toralei Stripes type but nicer)

Son of the Kitsune

A flamboyant dancer and professional make-up artist, Heike is always there to give anyone a makeover. A perfectionist by heart, he's always perfecting his image, making a fuss about his hair.

Mad Clown (The Gooliope Jellington type but a little grumpy)

Son of the Killer Clown

Don't de fooled by his appearance, Mad Clown is all bite and no bark if you make him angry. He also has a sense of humor but he puts it with a grain of salt. Clown doesn't mind pranking others, especially Aran (who would be the target for Mika's paybacks).

Narcis Prince (The Clawdia Wolf type but more vain)

Son of Jack the Ripper

Being the son of a famous serial killer (and the only mortal), Narcis is both vain and crazy, always envious towards beautiful girls but maintain a gentleman status, the only friends he has are Mika, Heike, Aran and Joe.

Rick and Nick Bruiser (The Purrsephone and Meowlody type)

Sons of Orcs

The Bruiser Bros may look the same but have totally different personalities: Rick is loud, cheerful and rowdy while Nick is calm, quiet and smart, totally identical but different in many ways.

Great Scarrier Reef Toralei, Kala Mer’ri, Posea Reef, Peri and Pearl Serpentine, Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Frankie. If I can find Lagoona I will finally have at least one complete line.

My Create a Monsters. The Vampire, The Sea Monster, The Witch, Deluxe Inner Monster and the Skeleton, Bee Girl, Triclops, and Ghost Girl add on packs. I’ve always loved CAM and I Hope they bring it back even if I never mix n matched the pieces. I also have the whole Cat Girl but she’s been co-opted by a Very Special Ghoul.

This is The Very Special Ghoul in question. I wanted to get into doll customizing but didn’t have the skills or focus at the time to do it. But I didn’t care much for the Cat Girl CAM, mostly because of the ears being clips it made the whole thing look bad so I took her and turned her into the only Successful Custom I’ve ever done, modmads humanized Notebook from Dont Hug Me I’m Scared. I love her too much to just set her back to rights so once I get a spare body I’m going to recreate her. I have a spare head and the yarn hair should be moveable. Her dress is completely hand made and she’ll need new shoes as her current ones belong to the Bee Girl add on pack and she’ll be getting them back.

And finally all my Thrift Finds. Amanita needs a reroot and most of her accessories, her previous owner also cut her basic dress. A bare mouscedese im debating customizing or turning into her city ghouls look, SKRM Lagoona, I found her entire outfit for $10 so all she needs is her forearms and a reroot and she’s good as new (a victim of my customizing attempts), Gloom Beach Jackson who’s missing all but his swimtrunks, a bare wave 2 Draculaura missing her forearms, Dead Tired Ghoulia probably in the best shape only missing her slippers glasses and brain puffs. Classroom 2-pack Ghoulia who may need a reroot and definitely needs that ink removed from her face. I think I could make her a new lab coat at least as well (I’d also like to find her the matching Cleo). Ghouls Getaway Elissabat in decent shape, only missing a few accessories im hoping to find, and a spare Ghouls Alive Clawdeen that I put one of Clawdeens last fashion packs onto but it looks Weird to me due to her head.

And that’s everyone so far. I’m hoping to expand my collection more now that I’m finally getting a decent job and have access to online shopping. I’m also excited to add the Gen3 ghouls to my collection. I love Monster High!!!

Zombie Shake Rochelle Goyle & Venus McFlytrap Diary

Editor’s Note: This written conversation was discovered while investigating an incident that involved an outbreak of a strange zombie-like behavior amongst the non-zombie student population at Monster High.

Please accept my apologies for our little mishap today. I should have been paying attention to where I was going as opposed to where I was coming from, I hope I did not cause the damage to you.

No worries! It takes a lot more than that to knock the bark off of me. I don’t know what Ghoulia was doing in the Mad Science lab, but it uprooted the whole class. Just glad I got out of the way before the crowd pruned me, but I was hoping to bump into you anyway to see if you wanted to come over tonight and get ready for the dance together. 

I am glad that you were not hurt when I knocked you down, and yes, I would love to get ready for the dance at your house. That would be très utile, I think, since I have never been a zombie before. Not that you have, either, but between the two of us maybe we can get it right, no? I wish I could have been there for whatever it was happened.

Unfortunately, I was not present to prevent whatever it was, but I did arrive in time to help with the control of the crowd. Have you made your fashion choice for the dance?

I haven’t made up my mind yet, but I do have a couple of ideas that are germinating. I was going to ask Ghoulia for some advice, but I can’t seem to find her. You haven’t seen her around, have you? I hope she’s okay.

No! I have not seen my friend Ghoulia, and I have been looking for her since after the stampede outside of the Mad Science Class. I have sent her the text but have not gotten the reply. Deuce told me he saw her dancing into Home Ick, but I have heard nothing since then.

Dancing? Ghoulia was dancing? Are you sure? That seems very un-Ghoulia-like for the middle of a school day.

Well, I am sure that Deuce would not tell me something that is not true. He is rock solid of character, and there is not much that happens around him he does not see. I do agree, however, that it does seem quite out of character for Ghoulia to appear so...frolicsome during normal school hours. There must be something on going here that I am not yet aware of.

I think you mean “going on” not “on going,” but I agree with you about Deuce. He normally doesn’t sprout off about something unless it’s true. In fact, he doesn’t really say much at all, come to think about it. You know, it could have been that Ghoulia was just happy that Slo Mo is the student dis-embody president now and his first order of business was the zombie themed dance.

I think “on going” means the same n’est-ce pas? No matter - tell me what you are thinking of wearing to the dance. Should it be for the formal occasion or something in which one could rock out? 

Certainly, if one wishes to avoid giving the impression of a certain reticence regarding her intentions to participate in the activities surrounding this type of social event, then a more lively fashion would be in order. One would not wish to be tagged with the sobriquet “wallflower” vis-à-vis other more stylishly dressed participants for, as some monsters once said, “The brightest blossoms attract the most bees,” if you understand my meaning.

Not really. I know that sobriquet means how do you it...”nickname” and vis-à-vis means “to compare to” but the rest of this message is très étrange. In Scaris we had many beautiful flowers that grew up the walls of my home and the bees we had as well, but I am not sure about the rest.

I was merely trying to convey the idea that when one’s inner beauty is displayed in an outward fashion, it indicates a willingness to partake in the festivities at hand. Please accept my apologies if the concept I was attempting to elucidate was indecipherable.

Not at all, mon amie. Clearly, the fault lies with me. Your prose was certainly sufficient to enlighten. Perhaps, I was merely entangled by the quandary I find myself in regarding our mod of dress for the upcoming festivities.

Ah, well, let us adjourn us from this classroom then and find a conveyance to the maul. I believe it is a destination where that will bring a measure of clarity to this dilemma.

Monster College Part 2

Rating: G, warnings none. 

Characters: Jackson Jekyll/ Holt Hyde, Invisi-Billy, Deuce Gorgon,  Frankie Stein, and Operetta

Invisi-Billy pulled out his phone, and started to call Abbey.

“Um, hey Abbey, it’s Billy.”

“Why are you calling so early in the morning?” the abominable snowwoman asked abruptly.

“Heath, has an 8:00 class, but he is still asleep, I was wondering if I should awaken him?”

  “You are not his mother, but if you think it’s a good idea?” Abbey added.

 The disappearing boy walked over to Heath’s bed and gave him a slight shove. But Invisi-Billy soon realized that really didn’t think this through, as all of a sudden Heath jolted awake with a head full of fire, triggering the sprinkler in their bedroom. Billy pushed his now soaked, blue-black hair out of his face, he didn’t have time to change he was now going to have to meet Scarah all soaked. Heath sat up, totally unfazed by the large amount of water in the room.

“Oh, look at the time,” Heath said as he jumped out of bed, “I need to get to class”.

 In the meanwhile Holt ran down the hall towards Jackson and Deuce’s room. “I just need to grab my swimsuit, Holt’s headed to the pool!” the blue skinned monster announced. But since subtlety was not one of Holt’s greater talents, as he crashed the door open he awoke Deuce. Deuce who was actually a morning monster, immediately knew what to do after he saw Holt’s presence.   “Hold it there dude,” Deuce called out, “Jackson, has to get to class.” The gorgon boy grabbed Jackson’s headphones and put them on the head of the blue-skinned monster. Instantly turning him back into, nerdy human boy Jackson.

Jackson started to freak out, “Why am I only in a towel? Where are my clothes? I need to get to class.”

 “It’s ok dude, Holt showed up, probably while you were showering.” Deuce said calmly, “I’ll go get your stuff for you and then you can go to class, might save you some embarrassment,” Deuce said in a supportive voice.

“Thanks,” said Jackson sheepishly.

    Invisi-Billy made finally made it to the dying-hall, to meet Scarah. The Banshee girl was sitting at a table waiting for her disappearing boyfriend. “Are you alright?” she asked when she saw how soaked Billy was.

 “Heath had an accident this morning, and he set off the fire sprinkler,” Billy explained.

 “You poor dear,” Scarah said. Since Scarah was telepathic Billy always had to tell the truth, even if it was embarrassing.

       After Jackson got his backpack and clothes back, he started to run to get to class. He didn’t have time to grab breakfast so he just grabbed a Zombie Energy drink, since he didn’t want to fall asleep in class. When Jackson made it to Coding 101 he spotted Ghoulia Yelps. She was a zombie, who also had a prefect GPA in high school and was even valedictorian for their class, so it was not surprising to see that she also bypassed Introduction to Coding. Jackson grabbed a seat next to her.

The coding teacher was a middle age cyborg who looked like he had been working with computers since they first came out. The class was going well until Mr. Cybernik decided to share his favorite music video about coding with the class. Jackson spent that time hiding under his desk with his hands over his ears. The coding class ended with Mr. Cybernik assigning a whole caskets worth of homework.

 Billy went to find his Monster Anatomy and Physiology class, he had written that it was in room 235 of the Stoker Building of Natural History and Science. The disappearing boy spotted room 235. When he walked in he spied some fellow students he recognized from high school: Jinafire Long, Skelita Calaveras, Rochelle Goyle, and Deuce’s mummy girlfriend Cleo de Nile. Invisi-Billy was so glad he would be in a class with people he knew. He found a seat next to Jinafire. “I didn’t realize you were all taking this class,” the invisible boy started, “but I’m greatful.”

The Chinese dragon girl just smiled awkwardly. A pompous looking gargoyle walked into the class room. She was large and wore an expensive looking pink dress. Billy was confused, she didn’t look like the teacher on the My Campus page for his class. He had been expecting a skinny, mad scientist with a long beard.

The gargoyle teacher had a list she was starting to call off for attendance, when she got to Billy she asked him who he was in a voice that sounded like she did not have time for any nonsense. “Um, Invisi-Billy Mann,” the disappearing boy answered.

 “You are not on my list, you are taking Introduction to Monstropolgy aren’t you?” the instructor asked.

 “No,” Billy answered, “I’m supposed to be taking Monster Anatomy and Physiology.”

The gargoyle instructor rolled her eyes, “You supposed to be in room 235 ‘B’, this is room 235 ‘A’”.

Billy blushed, and then started to turn invisible from the embarrassment. The rest of the class watched as what appeared to be a hoodie, jeans, beanie and back pack walked out of the classroom.

Invisi-Billy quietly sneaked into the correct classroom. Luckily for him the professor Dr. Choppenguts had not begun to call attendance yet. The dark-blue haired boy spied Lagoona Blue and Gil Webber, and grabbed a chair next to the beautiful Australian sea monster girl. “Crikey, Billy. You were almost late for class, that is not like you at all,” Lagoona said.

Insvisi-Billy blushed again, “ I accidently went to the wrong class room,”

Gil laughed, “It’s ok, Billy that could happen to anyone. Yesterday I showed up to the wrong dormroom and I thought I was going to have to be roommates with Kieron Valentine instead of Clawd,” the river monster laughed.

Billy smiled, “I would never want to be roommates with Valentine, with his extra Southern Accent, and he’s so uptight you would think his underwear is three sizes too small.”

“That’s really funny,” Gil whisper laughed, “but you know who won’t be laughing? Johnny Spirit. Operetta says that he and Valentine were assigned to be roommates.”

 Johnny Spirit was a Rockabilly Greaser ghost, who played the fiddle and was Operetta’s boyfriend. Operetta was the sassy, high octane Rockabilly daughter of the Phantom of the Opera’s daughter.

Billy laughed again, but then turned to face Doctor Choppenguts who started his lecture about how even though how all monsters are very different, their bodies all function very similarly. Billy started to mentally drift off, he doodled in his notebook, maybe he shouldn’t have followed Mr. Rotter’s advice about being a doctor and followed his dream of being a stage tech.

Frankie Stien, the beautiful and sweet daughter of Frankenstein’s monster and his bride, invited Jackson to an early lunch with her at the campus Ick-Fil-A. Jackson still felt a little awkward with his relationship with Frankie because she had previously broken up with him, when his going back and forth between Jekyll and Hyde had gotten out of control, but he still harbored a crush on her, even if she just saw him as her best friend. “I actually kinda miss having my mom around,” Jackson admitted to Frankie, “she kept me company and helped me to remember the silliest little things I always forget such as clean underwear,” Jackson sighed.

Frankie put her hand on his shoulder, “It will be ok, at least you get to be roommates with two of your best friends. I’m sorry you are feeling discouraged by the ‘Holt’ episode this morning, but don’t give up yet.” The stitched together girl encouraged.  Jackson didn’t say anything a quietly sipped his soda, but the quietness was not going to last.

A lilac-colored skinned girl, with a bright red Victory Roll hair style waltzed over to the two of them, it was Operetta Phantom. “Hey, y’all,” she called out with her smooth, charming Southern accent, “Johnny and I are hosting a big ‘ol  rockin’ shindig tonight, we got permission to use the student union hall, which is just a floor above this here dying hall. So be there or be square,” she laughed.

“That sounds amazing,” Frankie said in awe, “what is going to happen at the party?”

 “Well,” the Rockabilly phantom answered,“ Johnny and I are going to play rockin’ live music for us all to dance too. I’ve even gotten Deuce to help me cook up some of my family’s dang famous gumbo recipe,” she turned to Jackson who looked super uncomfortable about going to a party with hot music, “you are going to come right?”

Jackson grew even more awkward, he jumped to his feet clumsily, “I just remembered,” he started awkwardly, “I really have to go to the bathroom.” suddenly the human boy shot out of the room.

 Jackson sat on the floor of a bathroom stall crying and hoping no one would notice him. Why did people have to keep inviting him to parties, didn’t they understand that he couldn’t come.

From his hiding place Jackson heard someone else walk in, “Hey Jackson dude,”

Jackson recognized the voice to belong to Deuce, “are you alright? Frankie sent me to check on you. She’s concerned.” The Gorgon boy explained, “you need to come out. I know you have been having some setbacks with Holt. But you can’t keep avoiding everything,” Deuce continued, “you really need to get out more often. Frankie and I will look after you, even if you turn to Holt, we won’t let you get out of control,” the snake-haired boy assured his friend.

“Ok,” Jackson answered quietly as he started to leave the bathroom, he hoped that Deuce wouldn’t notice he had been crying.

 Meanwhile, Invisi-Billy sat alone in the dying hall with a very pathetic piece of cafeteria pizza, as he sat in his misery, a certain red-haired Rockabilly phantom waltzed up to him. “Why so glum sugar-plum? I bet ya haven’t heard about my party?”

1) Introduce yourself and tell us how long you’ve been collecting Monster High dolls!

call me blue! i got my first doll (gooliope jellington) in late december 2015, but i began really collecting in earnest starting in 2016, so call it about 3 years 

2) How many MH dolls do you have?

very definitely over 200 probably at this point..... most of them are on display, but a few thrifted and boxed dolls are hidden away 

3) Is Monster High your favorite doll line? Why or why not?

that.... is really hard to answer. it’s definitely the doll line i enioy collecting the most, and i can pretty much say ‘yes, it IS my favorite!’ but there’s that little voice at the back of my head that’s saying ‘but you owe your love of dolls to barbie...’

4) Who’s your favorite MH ghoul?

ohhhh man i love howleen. i love her so much she’s so wonderful. 

5) Favorite Manster?

mm..... hoodude? heath? or.... honestly i do have a huge soft spot in my heart for jackson (even tho he is. a lot. and many of the people i’ve seen who are fans of his are. even more. not everybody tho!!! just. a sad majority....)

6) Do you own any dolls of your favorite ghoul and/or manster? How many?

i own a version of every howleen doll (inlcuding the reboot doll), and it was definitely one of the proudest moments in my collecting, finally having one of each. i have also thrifted at least 3 i think? and i have 2+ repaints of her. i have one heath doll (he was my second/third doll), one jackson that was thrifted, and no hoodude since he was an sdcc exclusive :( but i don’t think hes a great looking doll anyway, like i wasnt expecting hard plastic obviously but i was hoping for more than just a stuffed doll ya feel?

7) Do you own any playsets? If so which one(s)? If not, is there a reason?

i own the school playset (my niece gave it to me when she didnt want it anymore), the catacombs playset (still in box bc i dont have room for it lol), the 13 wishes dj set i guess its called?? and 2 of the fdc playsets. also draculaura’s car and bed, both cleo and frankie’s vanities, and the cam design lab, but idk if any of those count lol 

8) Of the original main ghouls (including Ghoulia, Spectra and Abbey) which is your favorite? Got any dolls of them?

ouch, okay, just make me choose then.... uhhhh i cant really rank them? i guess i would put frankie at the top but shes more default for me than anything else honestly. i dont really care for spectra tho so shes at the bottom whoopsie. also if operetta is also included (which it doesnt say she is but.) then i dont really care for her either tbqh anyway, yea i got several dolls of each lol

9) Favorite character with only one doll release?

off the top of my head im thinkin neighthan, but honestly all of the fusions are good and also all single release doll charas are good. OH i really like cupid too tho and also finnegan 

10) Character with too many dolls (in your opinion?)

spectra. idk i just!!! really dont like her i mean she has nice dolls but i can not make myself care about her. 

11) Any character you would’ve liked to see in a doll line that didn’t make it? (i.e. Lagoona in Sweet Screams or Draculaura in Power Ghouls, etc)

ok. i HATE gil. but i think his design was super good in gsr and i would have loved to see him as a doll. 

12) Any ideas you would’ve liked to see in a doll line?

oh worm ive been thinkin on this for YEARS actually, but get this: “Boogie Fever” - a disco inspired doll line. obv has twyla in it. also what if a line where they were in famous movies - frankie and gooliope in ghostbusters, and then other classics like casablanca and breakfast at tiffanys (i actually hate that movie tbqh but it is a classic) etc 

13) Is there a “grail” MH doll for you? If so do you own it?

mmmmmm pretty much all of the sdcc dolls, but i would love to have the home ick heath some day, since that’s the closest to a sig doll they have for him. i dont have him, but i do have one sdcc exclusive doll (the ghostbusters frankie) 

14) Thoughts on the cancelled Ever After High crossover?

neutral. once upon a time i was excited about it, but honestly i could care less now. part of the problem is that i would want the crossover to go a very specifici way, and part of it is that the eah fans are rabid. 

15) Thoughts on the 2016 reboot faces?

i mean. they are cute! super cute! but. they really arent the monster high i fell in love with, you know?

16) Thoughts on the 2016 “Monster Family” line?

weak. bad. the dolls are cute enough but the line is NOTHING. they didnt even make alivia look like her movie counterpart so like, what was the point. 

17) How bout the SDCC exclusives? What was your favorite? Do you own any?

mmm i LOVE all of the sdcc exclusives but i think the deadfast ghoulia, valentine and whisp, and hexacaiah and robecca are all super good. 

18) How about Amazon exclusives?

ADULT DRACULAURA!!!! god i love her so much she really is so fucking gorgeous and i regret every day that i didnt buy her for like $50 when i got the chance. i do have like 2 of the skelita amazon exclusives tho 

19) Favorite Frankie Stein doll?

im gonna assume for all of these favorite doll questions that the sig look is out for the count bc i love the sigs so much lol. aaaanyway, her classroom look is SUPER cute. also sweet screams 

20) Favorite Draculaura doll?

sweet screams, original dead tired (her pigtails!!! so cute!!!), forbitten love/school’s out, roadster playset, i heart shoes, die-ner, art class (any time she has yellow automatically makes it a good doll), sweet screams, draculocker, monster exchange, maul monsteristas, amazon collector, gsr..... she really has so many amazing dolls

i display them! occasionally i take pics, and sometimes i move them around, but they’re usually just displayed 

36) Is Monster High the only doll line you collect? Why or why not?

no, but it was the line that got me into collecting in the first place! i collect barbies, eah, dcshg, lalaloopsy, and so many more. basically, if i see a doll i like, i get it (if i have the funds to obviously). honestly i buy/collect anything i like ya know?

37) Do you still collect Monster High dolls? (i.e. scour the internet and/or secondhand stores?)

mmm... kind of? i thrift them when i see them, but i’m more into ooak dolls now tbqh. there are a few still on my list tho that i would love to buy, fuly complete and all that good stuff. 

38) There’s a lot of new Monster doll/toy lines out now: thoughts if any?

no real thoughts, because i cant think of any monster doll lines out rn? i mean, im sure there are some, i just cant think of them right now

39) And finally, what’s your favorite thing about Monster High? Can be past or present!

uhhhhh everywhere??? threir character designs, lore, the fact that in original preboot canon normies and monsters actually know about each other, the lore, the messages it put out about embracing your freaky flaws and all that. monster high is/was just. such a completely amazing and wonderful series.
