so...the last year has been rough. for everyone. but i’ve been lucky in a lot of ways, especially with the people in my life, and i wanted to take a second to thank some people on here. because genuinely, you guys mean so freaking much to me. i’ve had a lot of online friends in my life but none that feel so much like family. these are the people who have carried me through the last year, who’ve made me feel seen and heard and supported me in all my endeavors and just been wonderful to me all around. i love you guys, and happy new year <3

i’m about to get into it now. and i’ll try not to cry too much along the way.

@neshatriumphs nesha, when i say that you’re our fandom mom i mean that you’re my family, i mean that you’re my biggest supporter, my inspiration, my rock, the person who makes me want to be my best self, all the time. i can’t explain to you what your support has meant to me over the years. whether it’s leaving me incredibly kind notes on my fics that make me want to write more just for you, or sending me asks when you know i’m feeling down, or just making me laugh with your hilarious takes, you have always, always been there for me. you’re the toughest person i know and you make me want to keep pushing every day. you’re so incredibly talented; your ideas are just always stunning and inspired and despite being humble about it you’re amazing at everything you do. your art, your writing, your aesthetics, all of it. loeg and share-a-lair were just spectacular and such a show of how complex and original and smart your writing is. barring just your talent you’re also an inspiration in how passionate and kind and dedicated you are. you care for others everywhere you go. you come on here and constantly make me want to be a better person. it’s not just me, either—you’ve taken on the role of helping all of us in any way you can, and you just make us feel loved and supported and give us someone to always look up to. i love you. plain and simple, you’re my family, and i’m so, so grateful to have you in my life.

@juliesdahlias you know when you meet someone younger than you and you’re like how do they have this much talent in their body? and you can’t even be mad about it because you just want to root for them and you want good things for them and you think of them like a little sibling? that’s me around you all. the freaking. time. pearl, i’m constantly blown away by how smart and driven and passionate you are. you have so much talent to offer the world and i love seeing you thrive more than anything. you inspire me every freaking day; i mean, your tiara thief drabbles literally made me pull my fic out of my drafts for the first time in months. every time you post it’s something iconic and beautiful, whether its your fics or your edits or your headcanons. and not just that, but you’re so incredibly supportive of everything i put out there. like with ths, the way you latched on to it and are one of our biggest fans and made content for it literally as soon as we started!! that was amazing!! you’re just such an incredible person in every sense of the word; you’re talented and hilarious and kind and passionate and i love you so so much. i cannot wait to watch you do amazing things because i know you’re gonna be one of the greats. ily.

@ciara-knightly i can’t even put this into words. i’m sitting here trying to say it right and every time i start i just turn into “!!!!!!!!” cause i love you so much. i know i’ve said this before, but shona, you’re honestly like my older sister. this whole year of just, really getting to talk to you beyond tumblr has shown me how honestly kind, passionate, smart, and supportive you are. talking to you is one of my favorite things in the world, whether it’s rambling about tiara thief, or discussing feminism in media, or just getting life advice. you always know what to say to lead me in the right direction and reassure me that things are gonna be okay. i look up to you more than i can tell you; i’m constantly inspired by your talent and your drive. you’re endlessly supportive and you make me laugh all the time, and i hold literally every convo we have close to my chest because it means so much to me to just be able to have them with you. i’ll never be over the fact that you basically discovered jatp, or us talking and making predictions for weeks before it aired, or us plotting out the whole dystopia novel together—which, even though it didn’t really pan out, was such an amazing experience because i got to do it with you. and i absolutely scroll back through our convos on a regular basis to scream over our tiara thief headcanons. everything i’ve done with you has been incredibly fun and meaningful, so what i’m trying to say in this very long winded way is that i’m so, so glad i know you, and i can never thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me.

It has seemed that lately many things he thought would never happen have been happening recently. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and while he is sure that mi’lady would be displeased with what he is about to do, that it was for the best for both of them. CREAK!

In a small cabin on a ship, Barirn laid down on a bed, traveling to Boralus to meet to Lady North. He does not sleep. Undeath removed his need for rest, but he stayed in his cabin at night after the first night when he accidentally disturbed some of the other passengers. He rested on it naked, his armor off to the side, due to the bed not being able to support all that weight. He was not meant to travel by ship, and yet here he was. The night elf sighs as he lies there, his mind starting to wander...

Barirn opens his eyes. He was in bed, but no longer on the ship. He was back home, in Ashenvale. He turned to his left and saw a gorgeous Kal’dorei woman next to him, her silver hair covering her face as quiet snores escaped through her lips. Diore. His wife. A soft smile formed on his lips, as he leans over and places a kiss on her forehead. Her eyes flutter open, a smile appearing on her face when she saw him. “Well good morning there, handsome. Shouldn’t you be making us breakfast?” They both laugh at the statement, as Barirn scoots closer to Diore. “Depends.” he says. “Do you want a meal of burnt toast and over cooked eggs?” He then pulls Diore on top of him, causing her to squeak. They giggles more, then nuzzle their noses together. “I love you, Diore.” “I love you too, Barirn.”

CREAK!

They both look, and see a small girl at the door, no older than three or four. Igone, their oldest daughter, though they would not know this yet in this memory of his. It would be another year before Mikikara was conceived, and another seven before Agini. “Mommy, Daddy.” Igone speaks “Someone is at the door.” A sigh escapes Barirn’s lips at this news, then slides out of bed, grabbing a shirt and pants on his way to the door. He opens it, and outside is a hooded figure. A familiar figure...

A scream is suddenly heard behind him. His head turns...and he is now in that day. That fateful day. The corpses of Igone and Agini laying on the ground. His wife, in the other room, screaming. The blade sliding into his body. The figure...a tauren...someone familiar, but he can’t place...

CREAK!

Barirn sits up and looks around. He had drifted, gotten lost in his memories. The ship creaking as it rocked back and forth amongst the waves. But there was another creak. The door was slightly open, a Night Elf female poking her head in. He recognized her as one of the sailors of the ship. He blinks when he sees her. He could have sworn her hair shown silver for a moment...but now, it was clearly a forest green color. Her cheeks were flushed, which he quickly realized was due to his nakedness. Not that he cared. “Sir, is everything alright?” The sailor inquires. “We heard a shout, and wanted to check in.” Barirn sighs, and nods his head. “Yes, I am fine, just some old memories. How far out are we, still?” The woman thinks for a moment. “We have another day before we reach the harbor. Saturday, to be exact. Now if you excuse me...” And with that, she was gone. Saturday. He would be in Kul Tiras on Saturday, and soon after would be meeting with the Lady North. Hopefully Monisha would be safe without him for several days...

Writing Prompt- The Golden Odyssey Raid

Stole this from an ask that @tayelablackfyre got. xD The Golden Odyssey. Your raid enters an old Abbey’s grounds, somewhere in Elwynn Forest. The trash at the gates are mostly archers and a few swordsmen, who you engage after breaking down the gates and taking random pot-shots from the archers on the walls. They go away once the gates break. Below and enclosed are the main bosses of the Order. Good luck!

Boss #1 - Albelfrey. The paladin. Your raid must survive 8 sucessively more difficult waves of trash coming out of the gate as the Abbey’s garrison is emptied, before Albelfrey meets you at the threshold. His aggro text is likely something like “By the Light!” or “You shall not pass!” He enrages after 10 minutes, cleaves, and must be tank swapped. Periodically he links two players further than 10 yards from him with the ability ‘guilt trip.’ These players must click on each other within 8 seconds, or suffer -50% damage and healing dealt for the rest of the encounter.

Boss #2 - Blaire. You make your way through the trash to the servant’s entrance, as she’d disposing of broken glass and wine-soaked rags. She throws daggers at anyone further than 15 yards, and periodically cleaves in a 270 degree arc in a random direction. This is a movement fight. She doesn’t have any dialogue, but she glares at you with increasing vitrol, decreasing your cast times as the fight progresses. Boss #3. - Penny. You’ve entered the kitchen through the service entrance. There’s no trash, but the stove is targetable and has 75% of the hp Penny has. Penny gains a stacking debuff, increasing both damage taken and damage dealt, based on how much damage the stove takes. She periodically freezes the raid, and moves around the room as she does. The longer the right goes on, the colder the room gets and the more damage the raid takes. She enrages after 4 minutes, or when the stove dies, whichever comes first. At the end of the fight, she collapses, and for some reason your raid is convinced to spare her. All the woman wanted to protect was her stove, after all! Boss #4. - Maggie. As Penny falls, you have 30 seconds to rez/drink/buff before the maid wanders in with a basket of tea in her arms. Upon seeing Penny struck down, she immediately engages, pulling a pair of short swords out of a dress cleverly designed to conceal them. She has a 90 degree cleave that must hit at least 3 targets or she immediately enrages. The cleave puts a stacking dot on those effected, and the initial damage is spread between all struck. At 30% she begins running around the room, damaging all in her path, and destroying the kitchen in the process. Anyone hit by debris also takes damage, and is knocked back. This is a soft enrage, and a dps check. As she dies, she falls backwards out through the kitchen window, and the loot is in a chest under one of the kitchen counters. Bosses 5-7 can be done in any order, but must all be completed in order to progress further. You need all of their keys to enter the upstairs office. Boss #5 - Zamantha. You’ve entered the hallway. There are two offices to the left, and an engineering shop at the end. Zamantha is a warlock, and this fight is a healing check. She spreads dots across the raid, as well as ground-based aoe including rain of fire. She periodically summons demonic adds, which must be tanked. Enrages in 6 minutes, and her death emote includes “You’ve taken EVERYTHING FROM ME” as well as the whole raid taking lethal damage. Rez up, and continue. Boss #6 - Barirn and Monisha. This is a twins-style fight with a shared health pool, they must be tanked on opposite sides of Monisha’s office, or they become immune to taunt and have no threat table. Barirn periodically death-grips the highest output healer to him, and casts execute. The chains holding this healer must be broken before the 5 second execute cast completes. Monisha periodically mind controls ranged dps, as well as a heal that drains the raid for 70% damage and heals the bosses for the amount dealt. At 20% hp, their combined wrath and spite begin to compromise the part of the building you’re in, dealing significant ground-based AOE. Avoid it while keeping the bosses apart. There is an achievement for spending the entire fight with them close to each other, and untankable. It is largely considered impossible to do so. They -must- be separated to be defeated. An unknown guild from the Asian servers will get this achievement 4 months after the content is released, earning a World First. Boss #7 - Larkin the Engineer. This is a positioning fight and a dps check with three phases. Phase 1 she deals significant tank damage, though no swap is needed. She periodically throws grenades around the room. Between phases, she runs to her work bench and builds a more fearsome weapon, and is immune to damage during this period. Phase 2 she has swapped out her short swords for a fully automatic anti-material turret. She is untankable, and does not target players. Instead, she sweeps the room with explosive shells, and must be constantly avoided. Phase 3 is the soft enrage. She kicks over the turret, ignites the leftover ammunition (how much depends on how quickly you completed phase 2. Save lust for phase 2.) As the ammo explodes the raid takes 50%-170% total hp in damage. In phase 3 she kicks over an oil drum, igniting it and the raid takes slowly increasing periodic damage, which is partially avoidable. She runs to the other end of the room and begins assembling an explosive device that will bring down the whole shop. High dps is required for this phase as well, you only have 40 seconds to defeat her before the raid is wiped out.

Boss #8 - The Worgs (Final Boss)

This fight starts as you enter the upstairs office. Everything seems fine, the room is empty. After stepping behind the big desk in the middle of the room, the windows blow in and a giant worgen with a sword as big as she is crashes in. She cleaves in the same manner as boss #4 (Maggie). Only now, the damage must be split between 5 people, or she immediately enrages. Split your raid into three groups and swap which group eats cleaves, or the dot will stack too high to heal through. When she reaches 50%, she collapses for a brief period. The room becomes coated in surprise ice, freezing the raid for a brief end-boss rp session. A smaller worg enters, ice coating her claws. This one starts the fight at 75% hp. She constantly lays down lines of frost that must be avoided, and aoe-interrupts the raid every 15 seconds. Deals elemental damage to tanks, as well as a stacking debuff. At 10 stacks, the tank is frozen for 30 seconds and takes 100% increased damage from all sources. When the 2nd worg reaches 50%, the one with the sword gets back up. They now share a health pool. Each boss gains new abilities. The big one alternates between cleaving and intercept-charging the smaller one, knocking back everyone but her fellow boss in a 45 degree cone and dealing noteworthy damage. Anyone she deals melee damage to will be mortal struck (-50% healing) for 10 seconds. The small one gains Time Warp, her attacks coming 40% faster. She also occasionally fixates on a member of the raid, eyes glowing a brighter gold, and runs towards them at 200% movement speed. Anyone in her path is devoured. Tank swaps must happen with perfect timing in this fight, and a third tank is recommended. Everyone must stay on their toes and not take too much damage, try to save personal survival cooldowns for the final phase. The building, weary of the war that has been wrought within it, begins coming down around everyone. The larger worgen falls through the floor into the office of Boss #5 (Zamantha). Separated, both bosses berserk, dealing 100% increased damage and gaining 30% increased attack and ability speed. Split your raid between these two floors carefully, as there’s no way to get back up once you’ve jumped in after the sword-wielding Worgen. Victory! You have successfully completed The Golden Odyssey Raid! The final cutscene is of the two worgen lying on the floor together, defeated, and both shifting back into human form. Revealing them to be Boss #3 (Penny) and Boss #4 (Maggie). Kana Kaanum Kaalangal (Tamil: கனா காணும் காலங்கள்) was a 2006-2008 Tamildramasoap opera on weekdays on STAR Vijay. It is first Serial in Indian and Tamil Television to focus solely on adolescence and school life and became a trend setter and topped the TRP for Tamil serials. A sequel to the serial called 'Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kallooriyin Kadhai' has been made.(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8) Later another sequel to the serial called Kana Kaanum Kalangal Kalloori Saalai was made. STAR Vijay conducted a talent search and students between 14 and 22 years were shortlisted and selected for the serial except Hemalatha and Ligeswaran who had prior acting experience all others were students who were acting for the first time with an emphasis to make as natural as possible with real life emphasis with actors using there natural language, slangs and make it very close to real school life.(9)(10) It is also being re-aired on STAR Vijay Super since 16 January 2017, Monday through Friday at 8:00PM (IST).

Kana Kaanum Kaalangal (Tamil: கனா காணும் காலங்கள்) was a Tamildramasoap opera aired on weekdays on STAR Vijay.(1)(2) It is first Indian television drama to focus solely on adolescence and school life and became a trend setter and topped the TRP of Tamil serials. A sequel to the serial called Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kallooriyin Kadhai has been made.(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8) Later another sequel to the serial called Kana Kaanum Kalangal Kalloori Saalai was made, Both the sequels were focussed on college life.

Casting(edit)

STAR Vijay conducted a talent search and students between 14 and 22 years were shortlisted and selected for the serial except Hemalatha and Ligeswaran who had prior acting experience all others were students who were acting for the first time with an emphasis to make as natural as possible with real life emphasis with actors using there natural language, slangs and make it very close to real school life.(11)(12) It is also being re-aired on STAR Vijay Super from 16 January 2017, Monday through Friday at 8:00PM (IST).
