getting books emailed chapter by chapter is a great concept. I get why people used to read morning newspapers. Checking in on recent news such as "mister Harker went in an old castle again" and "five more chapters on the history of this convent with one (1) mention of Valjean"
#[.txt]#sitting down at my desk in complete seriousness with a coffee mug but I'm just exasperated at how much convent lore there is#it made me look up the history of the monastery I'll go to next year and by god is every place just that full of lore...#<- average history of a monestry really Does take up ten chapters I apologise to Hugo

Lloyd x Captured Reader
Before I would start please let me tell you that I haven't write fanfictions before. All the fictions what I have read inspired me and I want to make content too about things I like and I'm interested it. It might turn out bad but hey, we are learning from our mistake. It's a test for my ownself. Now let's go with the story.
Summary: Reader is Lloyd's civilian partner who got captured.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
It was a normal day like usual. Finish the work, packing up, close the store and then walking home. It wasn't a problem since you lived near to your workplace. Everything seemed fine.
Until you felt like someone is following you. Wherever you turned you felt like someone is watching you. Your heart speeded up as you started to walk faster. From the corner of your eyes you saw a dark figure moving in the shadows what caused you start running.
The panic got best of you as you took out your phone out of your bag searching for a person from your contacts. A person that you can count on every time you are in trouble. Lloyd.
Before you could call him you bumped into someone in the corner, your phone falling to the ground with a loud noise. The person who was in front of you covered his face with a mask. You tried to back up as your breathing became uncontrolable trying to find a way to escape from him. Your brain was mush from how scared you were. Before you could back away from the guy you bumped into another one. And in the blink of an eye you were knocked out falling to the ground surronded with more masked people.
Before you would pass out you tried to reach your phone next to you. Just one tap on the screen and you could call help, but your vision got blurry and all your strength left your body. Your limbs became limp, you were blacked out.
•~
During this time Lloyd was having fun with the other ninjas that who could reach the point first. They were all fighting to get there, laughing filled the air as one of them win or fooled the other.
After a hour they all walked back into the Monestry each of them doing different things to chill. Zane would cook, it doesn't matter how surprising, this is what makes him calm. Nya went to take a shower. Jay and Cole sat down onto the couch to play video games while Kai was watching them. Llyod decided to go up into his room to change his clothes into something more comfortable. Before he would did he checked his phone.
6 missed calls from Y/n's mom
He immediately called her back concerned, thinking about all the possible things what might happened.
"Hey Lloyd, is Y/n with you today?"
"No miss, I thought she's working today."
"Yes, she worked, but she didn't come home. I'm waiting for her for so long now. She didn't picked up the phone. I called her workmates but nobody knows where is she..."
He tried to stay calm as he was thinking about where you might be. Maybe you're just shopping, hang out with your friends or walking in a park. Unfourtunatly, it was not like you. There's no day when you're not informing him about your day or plans. Something was wrong and that made him nervous. He was lost in his thoughts.
"Lloyd sweetie, are you there?"
"Uhm I am. Don't worry I will find her. Stay calm, miss!"
"Thank you Lloyd. Good luck. I'll call you if she comes home or something!"
And then she hanged up.
He felt sick to his stomach and felt like the room is spinning. He had to sit down to calm hisself down. He started to zoon out as panic built up inside him.
'What if something serious happened to her? I have a lot of enemies. Someone might want to hurt me by hurting Y/n. Oh God, stop! She's fine. What if she's not-'
"Hey Lloyd!" Nya knocked on the open door to catch his attention. She was done with the showering and now she was in her comfortable clothes. "Are you okay? You seem a little nervous." she approached to him sitting next to him onto the bed. Lloyd sighed looking into the emptiness worried. "I got a call from Y/n's mom. Y/n didn't come home from work today and weirdly nobody knows anything about where she is." he said his leg moving up and down in anxiously. "You're worried, are you?" She asks placing her hand on his shoulder as support. "Yeah, I am. I have a bad feeling about her disappearing." Nya carresed his shoulder what made him look at him. "Hey, she's only gone for a few hours. Maybe she has to do something before she goes home. Don't think about anything bad." She smiled softly at Lloyd who smiled back at her weakly.
"Maybe you're right"
•~
You woke up for a strange feeling. Your head hurt so much as you tried to open your eyes, the bright white light hit them, making you close your eyes again. You blinked few times to make your eyes get used to the light. You looked around with a half blurry vision. The room was all white full of medical stuff what made it look like you were in a hospital. You tried to move but your arms didn't listened. You looked down.
Your hands were restrained to a chair. Your clothes were changed. You were confused.
'What is going on? Where I am?' you think.
Now you remembered what happened. The masked men who cornered you. The panic kicked in as you tried to set yourself free. That's when a strange man walked into the room. He wore a white coat and had a messy mustache.
"Hey, don't struggle, it only hurts you. And there's no escape from here. So stop those movements." He said with an evil grin on his face, approaching you.

“I have to be with her!”
From the Greek series Μαύρο Ρόδο episode 52-54
Summary: As Petros slowly recovers in the hospital, Elizabeth can no longer visit him due to the media waiting by the door and portraying her and the monestry in a bad light due to the whole incident.
Petros sees what is being said about her in the media and demands to be discharged so he can be with her, the doctor tells him that in doing so he may lose his leg, but of course Petros won’t see reason.
He asks his friend to help leave the hospital and that worries his father, who in anger to Petros’s decision, challenges him to try to take a few steps without help, which of course Petros can’t.
But that won’t stop Petros from finding Elizabeth... Stay tuned :)
Index of this 10-part GIF series (stay tuned for more):
“I’m not leaving without her.” - Petros gets shot - Original post
“Don’t touch her!” - Petros gets beaten unconscious
“I’m so cold…” - Petros’s health gets worse and starts to feel the effect of his fever.
“You have to eat something Petros” - Elizabeth tries to get a very feverish Petros to eat something.
“I hear knocking...” - Petros’s fever gets worse and he starts to hallucinate.
“Keep talking to me Elizabeth, please keep talking to me...” Petros feels himself fading so he begs Elizabeth to keep talking to him.
“Mom? Mom wake up.” Petros’s health is at its worst and he starts to call out to his dead mother.
“Elizabeth...” Petros is finally rescued and the first thing he asks for is Elizabeth.
“I have to be with her!” Petros goes against doctors’ orders and discharges himself so he can be with Elizabeth.
“I don't feel too good…” Petros doesn’t feel well after leaving the hospital.

Day 49 - 24 October - Tbilisi > Yerevan
Got slightly rudely awoken by the lady on the train demanding our bed linen with 30 mins to go. We got into the station and figured out where we needed to go and got on the very cool metro. I went outside the station to get cash and on my way back I caught a glimpse of snow capped Mt. Ararat which was pretty amazing for a morning. We then got into our apartment and then went for breakfast. We went to this place which served Armenian flatbreads called lavash, the place was also called lavash!
After that we went to this amazing brutalist steps called the cascades which once you get to the top of them give you an amazing view of the city and Ararat. A very sweet dog followed us for about 25 mins before lying down at the top of the cascades and not coming with us as we defended. To the side of the cascade was the Matenadaran, the library of Armenian manuscripts. This had a really interesting set of manuscripts, mostly Armenian but also from other places. Most of them were bibles, which is understandable considering that Armenia was the worlds first Christian nation, with them adopting it before pax Romani. You can see how much the language and script means to the people, considering how the nation has been attacked and its culture attempted to be destroyed. One exhibit had different documents which showed its engagement with the ottomans, such as decrees from the sultan thanking a doctor for their service. Seeing in Turkey how historical museums look to erase the history or Greeks, and Armenians from ottoman history it felt a necessary exhibit. After that we went to this very nice cafe in an old tobacconist which was very retro.
We then went and picked up our bags from bag storage and chilled at home for a bit as we were both (me especially) tired from the night train. We then walked down to this open air market to see if there were any antiques or thinks we might like (there were not), and we went to some antique shops which were interesting but with nothing we would buy. There was one miniature painting which I liked but was like 2 grand so not quite in the price range.
We went to this nice shop just beside us to buy food for dinner, which we then cooked. It was nice to eat in again! Nin put on this hacks programme which gave life hacks like cleaning tips or craft ideas. It was weirdly hypnotic but got a bit deranged in the medical hacks section. I went to sleep early was very tired and passed out at about 9.
Day 50 - 25 October - Yerevan (and south Armenia tour)
Got ready for our tour which left very close to our flat. Our first stop was the Khor Virap Monestry, which sat under Mt. Ararat, which meant that it was about 100m from the Turkish border since Mt. Ararat is in Turkey. It was very beautiful and was built on the dungeon that St. Gregory the Illuminator (which Nina and I misheard as the Eliminator!!) was imprisoned before being released and helping the Kingdom adopt Christianity. Our tour guide who consistently switched between English and Russian gave us a good overview of the Armenian Apostolic Church (he would do an English tour for half the place and then do a Russian one while we had free time to walk around, which was good because the English speaking tour was smaller.) the churches are very incense heavy which I think is definitely missing from the Church of Ireland!
On our was to the next stop we passed along the milatarised border with Azerbaijan, which was pretty intense! You could see trenches on a hill beyond the road, but there was defences built along the roadside with foxholes built into them. We also passed through some territory that on the map says Azerbaijan but is de facto Armenia (there are several of these enclaves on both sides of the border). It was pretty intense and the guide gave us a good explanation of the situation as it currently is, along with hopes that the border settlement will be agreed quickly. From my reading of the current state of these negotiations this seems quite unlikely, especially with the terms that Azerbaijan with its vastly better equipped army and its support from Turkey might force them to take. Seeing the border up close lays bare how exposed Armenia is and how dependant it is on Russia being an honest broker in the conflict.
Our second stop was a winery and lunch that I think would have been really interesting had we not just done a very detailed wine tour in Georgia, but it did allow us to be more discerning in our wine tasting! We got 3 wines to taste and then they gave us the opportunity to taste 3 more (reserva) wines for 7£. We shared one but were the only people to do it, meaning we were late for our lunch.
The third stop was the really beautiful Noravank monestry and archaeological cave excavation. The monastery is one of the most beautiful in Armenia and as we arrived there was a wedding just finishing. It is on a hill at the top of a steep valley/gorge and was really stunning. The caves are where they found the world’s oldest shoe! And evidence of wine making 6000 years ago which they said was the oldest ever (disputing Georgia’s 8000 claim, although I am backing Georgia in this) the site was a live dig site with string everywhere and the wine vessels still in the ground. This is in stark contrast to Turkey’s treatment of Ani where workmen were moving stones and dumping them in other parts of the complex which seemed like a really criminal way of doing it as you could then not know where the stones had come from. After that we got the bus home.
We had dinner in this place that was recommended, but it was in this hotel and not very busy for a Friday night which was slightly strange. We were not massively hungry so got a salad each and a soup each. The food was delicious though, I had this lovely salad of black wild rice, pomegranate seed, goats cheese, mint and walnuts with a really nice dressing. Nin had a very tarragony (I think that’s a word) salad with quail eggs, and our soups were yogurty with lentils and delicious caramelised onion. We went back and went to bed again tired from a long but fascinating day!
Day 51 - 26 October - Yerevan
Went for a run which included a run up the cascades, I went up as fast as I could and was goosed by the end (I had to stop a few times). We then went home and got ready to go out for the day. We had breakfast at this really nice coffee shop near us that does porridge which Nin was very happy about. I had a great toasted sandwich and a flat white which after lots of Turkish coffee over the last 2 months was really good.
We then went to the Armenian Genocide museum which was very bleak as expected but really good. It lasted out in detail the timeline of events and how it happened, along with the context. I had some context from the book I read on the Ottomans last year but it was no less powerful. As with the other places we have been like this on our trip, it was impossible not to see the parallels with what is happening now in Gaza and in other places in the world like Ukraine. The idea of needing to rid a country or empire of people who don’t fit your vision of who should like in that land is just so horrible. I think the amount of times we say never again and then watch as they do is heartbreaking.
Turkey does not recognise the genocide and even have a monument to the victims of genocide across the border from Yerevan in Igdir in a grotesque form of trolling. You also see the way they have looked to write Greeks and Armenians out of this history of Turkey since the Ottomans took over shows that genocide is not just the killing of people but the erasure of culture. It seems to me that Turkey cannot accept that these cultures survive or that they have these histories that don’t align with the idea of a Turkish state in Asia Minor. To me this is so weird and self defeating and that Ottoman culture was so great because of the different cultures that existed in it. After all its civil service and army was mainly taken from children of Balkan or Caucasian origin. the empire went from almost Vienna to Sudan and from North Africa to Persia and up into what is now southern Russia!
After the museum we started walking the quite long distance back to the city center. We went to a car boot sale that was on our way which was interesting but with nothing we could feasibly get even if we wanted to. We got stuck on the side of these massive roads that really are the bane of Yerevan and Tbilisi. Transcaucasia the land of 6 lane roads We were quite hungry by this point and got a cheeky KFC as we were walking past it.
We then went to the national history museum of Armenia which was great. It had amazing stone tools from Homo Erectus and early man, including the shoe from the cave! And some great obsidian tools. It then had amazing pottery and stone friezes from early Armenian culture and from Christian and medieval Armenia. It had some items that they had managed to save from Ani which were taken to eastern Armenia as the Genocide and Young Turks took Kars Province.
After that we went for dinner near the apartment in a place called Caucasian kitchen, Nin had her perfect dinner of effectively chicken porridge and I had a lovely soup and some meatballs nd we had home made wine for a quid a glass which was pretty good. At the apartment I finally finished her side of the story which was good but very long, I have my book on Central Asia to finish next and then I have the new Tessa Hadley on pre-order.

Four days later we left the monestry, very grateful for the knowledge, experience and healing of the monks.
We finished our hike to Ella, and got welcomed by the mainstream tourism in Sri Lanka.
After all this time walking, we enjoyed the 30km/h fast scenic train ride.
The same night we made our way back to Radnapura in order to catch our bags, we left there before hiking.

What are things that make Yorick happy?
Generally speaking, Yorick is not a happy person. There are very few things that really bring him any joy. If you would ask him head on, Yorick would just blankly stare at you in hopes that you go away before he would have to reflect on that fact.
That being said, he does take joy in his duties as the gravekeeper of what remains of the monestry. Sure most of it is quite delabitated but he still likes to keep the gardens and graveyards neat, even if most of the plants are but charred, black husks.

Lloyd & Captured reader // Part 2
Summary: Lloyd's civilian partner got captured.
Warning: kidnapping, violation, experiments, cringe
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
The man walked to you grabbing your face agressively, forcing you to look at him. "Hey!! Don't touch me!" you yelled into his face. He grinned maniacly, piercing his eyes on yours. "What do you want from me?" You asked trying to break from his grip. "Oh, so you have no idea?" he finally backed away pushing your face back. He went to a counter taking something off it but you couldn't see what.
"I thought you knew you have elemental powers...How sad" he scoffed stepping back into your field of vision, finally recognising the object in his hands. It was a injection needle?! It was filled with some glowing liquid. Your eyes widened. "I don't believe you" you spit it out. That made him chuckle which was more like a dark chuckle. "Let me prove you then.." then he aggresively injected the glowing liquid into you, causing you to scream.
You felt how the liquid was flowing in your veins. Your skin glowing in purple as the pain became unbrealable. You couldn't help but scream. The man just laughed at your pain sadisticly. Soon the furnitures and objects flew in the room like there was no gravitation. "Welcome in my labour, Master of telekinesis. Your my personal experiment from now on." he smiled backing away from you. Tears streamed down your cheeks as the pain was unbearable.
'W-what?'
•~
The night was dark and cold. Lloyd was waiting for a call, either from you or your mom. It was already 11:00pm and he couldn't sleep, rolling each of his side on his bed. The fact that you're missing was not a thing he's used to.
And then he finally stood up making his way towards his gardrobe. He grabbed his gi out and put it on. He silently sneeked out of his room leaving the Monestry.
It didn't take long for him to show up at the store you work. He promised your mother that he's going to find you so it was time to start searching. He walked through the streets and pavements that you usually go on on your way home. It was oddly empty and quiet. He was extra attentive just looking for any sign what would be able to tell where are you.
He was about to turn right at the corner when he stepped on something. A phone. He picked it up and immediately recognised the phone case. The screen was broken like someone on purpose wanted to destroy it. He turned on the phone what actually still worked. His eyes stopped at your lockscreen wallpaper. It was you and him petting cats in a cat café. It was your idea to go there, knowing he's a cat person and it turned out really fun. He smiled softly admiring the picture before he unlocked the phone.
When he unlocked your phone he froze. It was his phone number and a picture of him what he didn't know it exists of him. It meant you tried to reach out to him but it was too late.
He wished he could have been there when you needed him. He could've protected you. It wasn't right to blame his self but he couldn't help it. He had a lot of questions. It didn't make sense. If someone took you to get something from them or just to hurt him they would've already act up. He could just asks from his self:
'Who took her? What do they need her for? Where is she? Is she okay? Is she hurt?'
•~
The next day Lloyd made a visit at your mother. He knocked on the door, waiting patiently for the door to be opened. He was wearing a green hoodie with jean, just regular civilian clothes. The eyebags refered to a long night, trying to find clues where are you. All for nothing.
The door slowly opened and M/n looked out carefully from the small gap. When he recognised Lloyd she immediately opened the door wide. "Oh Lloyd, I'm glad you're here.." she smiled weakly gesturing him to come in. "It's okay.." he said softly stepping in, closing the door behind him. "I'm making a tea, sit down to the table.." then she went into the kitchen, pouring the hot water into a mug. Lloyd sat down looking around the room spotting family picures on the wall. Mostly it was you and your mother on them, but there was one what was different. There was a man on it giving your piggybacks, your smile as bright as now in these days. He smiled without noticing it. "That's Y/n's father, they had a strong bound. She loved her father very much.." M/n smiled herself admiring the picture while remembering back to those days. He turned to face her with a sad expression. "If you don't mind me asking..what happened?" M/n sat down in front of Lloyd and slides mug of tea to him. "He passed away in a car accident.." she teared up a bit as she thought back at that tragedic day. "I'm sorry.." he immediately apologised. "It's alright..tell me what you got.." she said taking a sip of her tea.
He reaches into his pocket, taking your phone out of it. He put it down onto the table with an empathic look. M/n eyes opened wide recognising the phone. She took it into her hands gently taking a look on it.
"Me and Zane went through her whole phone, every unreachable information what what might be important" Lloyd made eyecontact with her. "We made access to the phone secret microphone what always making records. Based on this record we found out that she was followed then chased by 3 men." She put her hand on her mouth by her shock. "She bumped into someone dropping her phone accidently. For a few seconds just steps then a strong hit and someone is falling onto the ground." M/n just listening quietly, few tears dropped down onto the phone. She wiped away some of her tears, putting down the phone on the table.
"More steps and someone speaks up" he pauses looking into deep in her eyes as she took another sip. "Experiment-08 has been caught" her eyes widened putting down the mug from her hands. "Oh God-" she stands up what caught Lloyd off guard. Her expression panicing as she was walking around the kitchen. "You should go now.." Lloyd was surprised by her reaction. M/n has never acted like this before. Maybe it was too much for her, but he needed to ask a lot of things. He stood up from the table defeated. "I'm sorry, ma'am.." he apologised. The news got her overwhelmed. He needed to leave. "Good bye, miss" he said, leaving the kitchen, opening the front door and closing it behind him.
"I wish you were here, Y/n... It's a living nighmare without you.."
He got back to the base going straight to the hangar's computer. He needed to find anything related to experiments in Ninjago city. He was going through the prison breaks and wanted people list when the team appeard behind him. All of them with a worried look. He didn't take care of his self, he spendt all his time to find you.
"Lloyd, I think you should take a break. Your working for hours now.." Cole said taking a step closer. Lloyd didn't even looked away from the screen. "I can't..I think I'm close to find out who's the person behind all of this.." he said typing different kind of keywords to make the list much shorter. The ninjas looked at each other concerned. "Oh God, the same person again.." Lloyd whines and hit the keyboard in frustration. He cup his head into his hands, he was too tired to figure it out all alone. "Let us help you.." Zane said stepping closer to the computer analizing all the work what Lloyd has already done. "Saburo Hisoni, escaped prison..Did illegal experiments on people who were blood-related to a person with elemental power.. The polices has found 23 different DNS in his labour from people he had made experience on, but only 12 people were found." Zane read it out loud. "It's doesn't make sense. If he's the person who kidnapped Y/n, then what is he needs her for?" Nya asked confused.
