#MovieMonday In “The Passionate Plumber,” 1932 Buster Keaton woos the fickle Irene Purcell, mainly making her more infuriated & wanting her lover, Gilbert Roland, but he’s all tied up with Mona Maris.  Love wins out in this adaptation of a French farce, but breakfast in bed does not go down well when it’s literal.

The South Bend Tribune lauds this scene in “The Passionate Plumber”: “…even dish smashing, the piece de resistance of the old Keystone comedies, can be funny when it is engaged in by experts.”
