Roger Pirates Headcanons 3

The Roger Pirates as a whole

Most or all have a soft spot for babies and children, that's why when Oden and Toki came on. The Roger Pirates were accepting of Momonosuke and Hiyori. But glared at Oden and Toki. Until they started to get to know them, and finally let loose their judgment of the adults. Then everyone is having a great old time.

Birthday parties, my dudes on the Oro Jackson. It must have been a bop and was amazing to attend. I say a small party to Buggy and Shanks was like a large party for most people. This is why their parties are so large, hyped, and loud. That's what they grew up with and it has and will stay with them.

They never thought they would take care of children, most did their best. But it's clear from how Buggy and Shanks act that a pirate might not have been the best place for a kid. Though from what we've seen in the One Piece world. Half the places ain't that good either for children... so maybe it was the best place for them. It's just I doubt the Roger Pirates were good at communicating their feelings and what they think is right to teach children isn't actually a good thing.

Sunbell

This man was the one who helped Buggy and Shanks start swimming. Because Rayleigh is too strict in this, Roger just would fling them in, and Gaban isn't the best at swimming. So, Sunbell being a fishman that could tell them what to do. They both got it down, but Buggy was the one who was the best at it. I see Sunbell having little underwater tea parties with Buggy, because why not

Spencer

Spencer is like an older brother-figure to Shanks and Buggy. Always helps them get out of trouble (which might get him into trouble with them) He usually cooks for the two kids, late at night, because they come to him if they are awake and want a late-night snack. Which has gotten them in trouble when somebody finds them, by the seas forbid it's Rayleigh.

Taro

Taro is much a historian buff that anyone can be, he tells all kinds of stories from the past to Buggy and Shanks. Taro always stated that these stories might not be fully or really true. But it's fun listening to them, he likes to group the ones he believes have the most truth in them and the ones he thinks are straight-up lies.

Bankuro

Bankuro seems like one who would collect rare coins, keeping one of every type. Bankuro probably has asked Buggy and Shanks to help him. And with Bankuro having so many coins of different dates and types. I think it would be fun, if Bankuro wants to get coins from the Void period. Hell, maybe he has some.

Mr. Momora

Mr. Momora is really good with animals, teaching Shanks and Buggy how to safely care for them or watch out for them. As well as riding some of them, like horses or those Arabasta birds that people ride.

Erio

Erio is a tinker, he's the one who got Buggy into tinkering with things. He was the one who created the picture books that the Rogers (mostly Roger) usually read to Shanks and Buggy. I see Erio spending his time helping Buggy making things every time he can.

The sea’s water had been stolen away for malms, so powerful was the breath of the greater fae Bismarck. Not entirely–in cracks and pools and canyons the water remained. Those places provided a haven to the sea creatures that could not venture into the strange dry world where once had been their home. 

“Dry” was quite relative, in D’zinhla’s estimation. Each breath was so thick with humidity that it felt like she was inhaling fog. Still, it was dry enough that no Kojin-blessing was needed, and scant remained of the marine life she was certain should be found here.

Storm-tossed waters were among the most bountiful, she knew. She was a child of La Noscea, how could she not? She learned young that Llymlaen’s breath upon the waves tossed them into roaring heights that churned the sea below, in a way that could be demonstrated by vigorously stirring one’s mug of tea and seeing the liquid slosh over the rim. Perhaps she’d been reprimanded a time or two for enthusiastic demonstrations to her younger siblings; the lesson still clung to her. Thus, as frightening and even tragic as the stormy seas could be, they were needed to stir the waters, because as the waters mixed and mingled, they distributed riches that otherwise settled to the bottom. Not just the pirate riches she imagined as a wide-eyed child, but the riches that were, she was told, even more more valuable, in the form of food for the wavekin. Without the waves and currents, little bits of food like tiny water plants and fish eggs would all drift to the abyssal depths, and a strong storm churned them back up better than anything. La Noscea had these storms to thank for the richness of the waters that surrounded the isle. 

So here, then, were seas so known for their storms that the storms were their name: the Tempest. Yet the breath of Bismarck had so becalmed them that there was no water at all.

D’zinhla frowned as she turned the problem over in her mind, just as she was turning the reel of her rod. She had found a pocket of deep water left behind when Bismarck’s breath forced away the seas, and much as she’d expected, it was thick with fish. She felt it likely that most of them were only here on account of having nowhere else to go, and would rather be swimming much closer to the surface. It almost felt unkind to fish here, and take advantage of what felt rather like a stocked pond. 

But the Ondo had spoken of a fish they had seen here, one with a sudden swiftness, like the lightning that danced the surface in storms, and flashing teeth that cut and ripped flesh. A voracious predator they found little use in hunting for food, for its flesh, while sweet-tasting, was a meager prize for the effort required. Besides, it was the embodiment of the currents themselves, and taking too much of them would stall the currents and seize up the seas.

Overhunting a specific fish had nothing to do with the breath of Bismarck, D’zinhla knew, but she felt she owed it to the Ondo to prove that they had not abandoned the Tempest. Maybe they could be a sign to the Ondo that the storms, and the waters, would return, if the currents-fish was still to be found below.

That would first require catching one, and so far, D’zinhla had spent far more time fishing fruitlessly than she cared to admit. But she’d just caught a second of the large blue momora mora of the First, and she had a feeling, an inkling, that if she just kept at it, she might see a much less rounded fish on the end of her line. These feelings didn’t always pan out, of course, but sometimes…sometimes they did. 

Besides, to catch a fish one must actually do the fishing.

First touch by flowerpicture2. Perfect fanfic. Literally changed me. Author posted it and went missing, never to post again. I respect them.

Atoms and Empty Space by AtillaTheHun (genuinely, to this day, the best fanfiction I’ve ever read in my life. The writing is magnificent.);

Saltation by momora; (I have been reading this fic for 5 years and this author is a sweetheart. Embark in this journey with us);

If you want my seal of approval for any “yoonmin bible” slash the biggest monsters in the fandom, I would go for The Songbird and the Sea. Ukiyo is not something you really want to read it (I’ve read it while it was being posted. I do cherish the experience but never again. Not for me.)

Besides Yoonmin, I’m a huge slut for Jinkook. Cherub vice is truly one of my all time favorite fics and it genuinely changed me as a person and put so much into perspective and it has a permanent mark in my heart.

No, I don’t have anything against Jikook/Taekook, love both, read both, I just never touch any of the jikook/taekook fans with a ten feet pole and I rather not rec anything because Jikook/Taekook writers are monsters and almost everything is either really good or really problematic. Or both. You never know what you are going for.

I genuinely am a person who sort of hyperfixates on a couple and doesn’t like to read anything beyond that, so it’s either Yoonmin or Jinkook for me. Which reminds me: taaffeite moths by nonheather was an insane reading and birdsong by literallies was the sweetest thing and grounding/unmoored also by literallies was genuinely the funniest thing I’ve ever read and I cannot believe I cried reading a 2k anthropomorphic fic about a boat (seokjin) being stuck at the suez canal (jungkook).

Let me see what else… I think because BTS has been such a big part of my life for so long that those first years fan crazyness sort of dimmed down. They are still very important to me, but instead of being a guiding light in my life, they are now a brilliant sunset that bathes me in hope for what is to come. I still go drink some coffee by myself at each member’s birthday and I’m counting the days to 2025, but it’s like I’m waiting for a long distance friend to come visit instead of losing my mind over seven celebrities being able to perform for me or give me new content. Which reminds me: we are boycotting hybe and we do not stand with 🛴 zionist ass, so I’m careful with any content I engage now (& truly, I’m not on any social media besides tumblr, and I rarely engage with anything hybe related here or anywhere else).

Today naging matapang ako. I didn’t cry. I didn’t react. I stay low. I did not even raised my voice or change my tone of voice while speaking with him. Kala ko iiyak ako at magagalit. Mag momora. I never imagine being so calm and steady throughout the conversation. One thing that I envy myself. Thankful for not making a sense.

No one deserved to feel what Pain is until you feel it. For so much pain, it consumed you and thats make what happened throughout this past years. I don’t even know myself anymore. I consumed with lots of madness, anger and prostration, hate, guilt. I keep myself thinking about life. What happened.

Now, I am so proud that I can talked it out and let it out. I am so thankful to myself for open up. Siguro, masasabi ko sa sarili ko, once nako naging isang taong nag mahal at sinaktan. Naging marter, pina balik at pinatawad ng paulit ulit. But this time, kailangan ko mahalin ang sa sarili ko. Mahalin ang ako.

I will ve back to the old fashion me, the struggles 101. Balancing my life again with my daughter. Single mom again. I think, I rather do this than being with someone and continuing hurting myself. Unfortunately, after the family is reunited, the narcissistic wife Eve Harris played by FX's critical acclaimed hit neo-western action drama Justified actress Natalie Zea is sleeping with her former husband Gavin played by BBC's Merlin 2008 actor Eoin Mackin's best friend the evilish betrayer Captain Levi Delgado played by The Princess and the Barrio Boy actor Nicholas Gonzalez. Still unfortunately, the group includes 3 kids played by TikToker Jack Martin, disabled model Zyra Gorecki and young actress Veronica St. Clair who has an career downgraded era from Golden Globe-winning miniseries Unbelievable to terrible Jurassic Park saga ripoff struggles to go back to their own time because of arguing like immature teenagers, being slaves by The Others ripoff, Exiles led by the late Jason Momora wannabe Tamaart, getting run-in with disastrous situations including poorly rendered CGI prehistoric animals and dinosaurs and mysterious evil woman and James Harris played by Australia's longest running soap Neighbours actor Jonno Roberts' personal minion named Kiera played by the actual good actress Simone McAcully. In the worst twist during season 2, the sinkhole that sending The Harris Family, Levi, Riley, her dad Dr. Sam Medez played by Selena and Bad Boys 2 actor Jon Seda and their friends to prehistoric times were responsibled by the evil group The Lazarus Project from 2076 who are working to find the way to deal with their time period's depleted resources as well as how to master the de-extinction. The Lazarus Project is headed by James and Kiera with the assistance by Tamaart and "the liar" Aaron. Unfortunately, the ratings of season 1 was the best, even the best written comedies Abbott Elementary and Ghosts USA is getting clobbered by Twilight Saga and Riverdale meets Jurassic Park movies soap opera by the season's end. However, during last year's Halloween week, 2nd season of La Brea was brutally beaten by an much better written teen drama All American from The CW and The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXXIII with 2 hit segments the Death Note anime parody Death Tome and WestWorld parody SimpsonsWorld with Jon Roberts as Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers makes a cameo towards the end of the segment and the episode. This could send LA Brea fans to panic while its haters is satisfied, not even the show is safe from YouTube podcast video and the entertaintment reviews for "problematic, Jurassic Park and Days in Our Lives ripoff, an actual toxic "woke", sending a wrong messages to teenagers and sending Latino people and people dealing with anxiety issues into stereotypes." Thankfully, the show was delayed until next year, fell victim to current WGA writer's strike despite they're still filming "the final season" in Australia. If the the final season comes within the first weeks of January, don't watch or watch in case of curiosity or cringe. This is why NBC's infamously Jurassic World/Lost Mashup ripoff telenovela LA Brea is an very bad show. Next time, I'm tackle the hunks of Jurassic Park movies and it's called Jurassic Heartthrobs.
