Block Tales Predictions & Headcanons Because This is my New Hyperfixation
Predictions
So the next sword is 100% the Firebrand. And what better fire level is there than an active volcano? I believe the next demo will open up the docks & we're gonna be sailing to a tropical, volcanic island for the Firebrand.
Added with that, I believe we'll meet the ship captain mentioned by Mayor Monty (can't for the life of me remember the name rn), as he'll be the one to sail us across.
I also believe that this Chapter or maybe the Windforce one will be weilded by Kyoko's sister, since Kyoko's dialogue in Chapter 3 hints that at the very least something is going wrong with her.
On the UnkownSpaceGuy Youtube channel - the channel that uploads both demo trailers & the OST - there's a track listed called Space Battle. While some might think the background & track are misdirects, considering the Weird Battle OST teased enemies from Chapter 3 well before it was implemented, I think it's possible this could also be hinting at future content. Specifically, I believe the Chapter taking place on the moon will either be the Darkheart or Illumina one.
Once the game is finished, there'll be a New Game+ mode where you can actually have the chance to beat Terry at the beginning of the game.
Headcanons
~Cruel King~
Dude needs a different moniker than "Cruel King" because that is a misnomer and a half. So, unless he's given an official name, his given name will be Rex to me.
His favorite foods include warm drinks like hot chocolate & coffee and frozen desserts, especially ice cream.
His favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry.
He likes Mexican cuisine but it also destroys him.
Had a German Shepherd when he was growing up.
~Griefer~
While Mayor Thaniyel is mostly right about Brad not being 100% like that before the influence of the sword, he still was a bit of a little shit. It's just that Thaniyel didn't see most of it and it was mostly relegated to online games/forums.
Despite what his soda addiction may lead you to believe, he really likes fresh fruits, apples being a particular favorite.
Likes sherbet & sorbet more than ice cream.
Really likes spicy food. Man would fuck up a bag of Flammin' Hot Cheetos & puts jalapenos on everything he can.
It is often said that the highest honor one can give a fictional character is to headcanon them your personal lived experiences and traumas. Thusly, Griefer has mommy issues. Undecided whether I prefer her being kind of a bad mom or if she simply wasn't around when Brad was growing up.
Big fan of Pokemon. Favorite Gen is 3, both in terms of the Gens in 2010 and all Generations to modern day. Favorite starter is Treeko, though Grooky would be a close second.
~Greed, Solitude, & Fear~
I like to group these three together as The Vices.
Greed is a bit of a fashionista, keeping up to date on the latest trends.
Greed likes carbonated drinks. Particularly, they like champagne.
If Greed were to order a steak, they'd order it Blue.
Solitude gets uncomfortable in large crowds. A large crowd to Solitude is more than 2 people.
It's difficult to tell at any given moment if Solitude is concentrating really hard on something that caught their attention or if they're just disassociating.
A picnic in the park might not fix Fear, but it would do a whole lot to improve their mental state.
Fear's favorite foods include fruity drinks/juices, comfort food, and baked goods.
Fear's favorite colors are dark blue and dark green.
Despite them literally being the embodiment of fear (or perhaps because of that), Fear is fiercely protective over those they care about. Can't have courage without fear after all.

So yes, covid finally caught up with me. I knew I’d get it eventually, as there are always more and more contagious variants and everybody is just living their lives normally by now. Still, funny how it took this long for me, my brother and my mom’s partner to get it - and we all got it pretty much at the same time. I likely got it from mom’s partner, as I was around him on friday, and he started getting symtoms on friday night, and I started getting symtoms on sunday (and I also tested positive on sunday).
And boy, I’ve been feeling like absolute crap. I can’t remember the last time I felt this ill; the common cold does not give me such high fever like covid does (almost 39 C). This may be partly because I had my last vaccine in february, and I’m not allowed to get any more vaccines in this country (too young, no diagnosed diseases).
It’s day 3 now. Doesn’t feel like I have the fever now (I took meds immediately after waking up though), just feeling sweaty and stuffy and my nose is runny. Basically, now it feels like the common cold (but it did not feel like that before). I also can’t smell or taste anything today. :( But I am feeling a bit better now as compared to yesterday; yesterday I wouldn’t have been able to type this post. Fever makes me completely unable to function, unlike some people (like my sister).
I hope this’ll be over soon, and I hope I get to go on that Stockholm cruise next week I booked a couple of weeks ago (and I hope my sense of smell will be back by then).
#ruumiipersonal#idk if i had gotten covid if i didn’t travel to mom’s#there is a chance i might have gotten it elsewhere#but the most likely option is that i got it here from mom’s partner#however it’s good i don’t have to be alone#makes me feel more safe#mom is taking care of both my needs and monty’s needs#i don’t see how i could have walked monty when i could barely stand up myself

Cars AU idea
So i just had this idea pop in my head a few days and i need to get it out before it rots me any further
I was thinking about how despite knowing everyone in Radiator Springs for a few days, Lightning still grew really attached to everyone (Specially Mater, Doc and Sally) and afterwards they're basically his found family for the rest of the franchise, then i thought, what would have happened if he arrived to Radiator Springs earlier than 2006, what if a 13 yr old Montgomery McQueen- was raised by the RS Townies?
So one of my headcanons for Lightning is that his parents weren't the greatest, not abusive but more neglectful, dad was always traveling for work and while his mom was there, she never really gave him the love and care she was supposed to. It's also why i think he's so indulging in the fast life in the first movie is because the whole world loves him and everyone's eyes are on him, but he still desires love and friendships that are more personal rather than just distant admiration.
So one night, Monty just decides to drives away from home, and drives with no sense of direction, just anywhere, and then ends up in Radiator Springs almost the exact way he does in canon, getting chased by Sheriff, knocking everything in sight, he doesn't destroy the road, but he's much more panicked because he's in his adolescence and his flight instincts are so high, and he gets more hurt by the barbed wire because his body isn't as strong yet.
Then after, the townies realize that the car that tore thorough town was just a kid, and start to wonder what could have happened for him to end up here of all places, and they notice that he's hurt. While Sheriff does insist to put him in the impound, he eventually relents and brings the boy to Doc to check on him.
And then from there on, the familial bonding begins, it is a bit rocky at first cause let's be honest if an adult Lightning was a bit hard to connect to, then a growing pains one would probably be just as, if not more difficult, and he wouldn't be all that open initially, but they get to connect regardless. His relationships with the townies would be about the same as in canon, and Mater would have the role more akin to a crazy uncle or elder brother rather than a best friend, but their companionship is all the same, with the exception of Doc and Sally.
Doc wouldn't resent Monty at all because he isn't a racer yet, and would take on the role of a father figure for Monty much earlier, he does have some reservations about his dreams of becoming a PIston Cup racer due to his trauma, but he relents and teaches him after he spots the boy failing the turn at Willy's Butte. During one lesson, Monty lets it slip out about how his dream of racing was the only thing keeping him going and opens up about his past, and in turn Doc opens up about his past as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet as well, and they grow much closer as father and son after.
As for Sally, when they first meet, it'd kinda be how Stanley met Lizzie in Time Travel Mater (Monty sees Sally break down, he along with Mater help to bring her into town, and they form a bond.) initially the roles for both of them are reversed, Monty is kind of the one to show Sally what life outside of the fast lane is like. (It is unclear when Sally first arrived in Radiator Springs, but i'm going to assume she arrived in like 02 or 03,) They would also connect due to their similar pasts, running away from their previous life and ending up here, and eventually they would start dating. The entire town teases Monty for it and make jokes about how he's growing up so fast and how he'll be married eventually, he doesn't''t mind at all. Because he's truly happy
Then when the time comes for Monty to go to the Fast Track Racing Academy, he promises to everyone that when he goes big, he'll find a way to put the town back on the map. When he's at the acadmey, he makes sure to call his family when he can, and tells them all about what's happening. He does still get held back because of The Carl Incident but just like in canon he bounces back quick, and gets the Lightning nickname, and he does all the stuff he does as described in the Cars Origins book.
Halfway through the season after he gets the sponser of Rust-eze, Lightning gets in contact with Doc and he asks if he and his family could be his pit crew, Doc is a little hesistant at first to get back into the Piston Cup scene, but at this point he would do anything for his adopted son so he gets the entire gang minus Lizzie and Red for the races, and they kill it.
Think about it, Lightning without a crew chief and proper race training was still pretty damn skilled, but a Lightning who was trained by the Fabulous Hudson Hornet before he started racing and having him as his crew chief, let's just say the only people on that track that are genuine competition are The King and Chick Hicks. And in this universe, there's no need for a tiebreaker race in LA, because the Motor Speedway Of The South race is the finale as Lightning doesn't mess up by not taking tires, and almost truly becomes the first rookie to win a PIston Cup, if it weren't for Chick deciding to be a dick and crash The King. (Some things never change ig.) And just like in LA, Lightning sacrifices his win to help The King, giving the same It's Just an Empty Cup speech to him, which makes Doc smile all the same.
And from there, on out, the story starts to mold slightly back into what we know, albeit with changes here and there but that's a post for another time. Anyway thank you so much for reading my brainrot ideas if you're still here and i hope you guys enjoy what you read and want to see more, this is mistahsaumi, signing out.

Do you remember when I said in my Headcanons monty turned his mom to diamond by accident
He keeps her statue somewhere safe ( was his hotel ) and cleans it everyday
I'll explain more in detail below,
Ever since he was a kid, he couldn't help stealing whatever he thought was worth keeping. It started off with small things, to the point even irrelevant things too ended up in his hands.
As the kleptomania developed further, it'd get him even more in trouble with his father who already disapproved of his entire behavior.
His mother had opened him the doors towards art ; music, dance, and literature, and his main ideal was Romeo and Juliet, hence the name. And while he was an art enthusiast, it still wasn't enough to satisfy what his father needed of him. His mother would cover for him, much to his father's dismay, to the point he decided to disown his own son.
Sick of his father's abuse and mistreatment, he didn't hesitate to leave as soon as he was told.
Several years later, he chose to return home ;
After getting his hand on the diamond amulet, he thought he might show it to his mother as an achievement. But that wasn't the only aim of his trip ; the one he'd seen first was his father ー sneaking through the kitchen window, he came face to face with him ; quickly grabbing onto a knife, he stabs his father to death.
Now covered in blood, he realizes his mother had been watching. Knowing she already had heart problems, he watches her fall to the ground. He reaches to hold her, and unaware of the full extent of the amulet's power, he turns his mother to diamond. He wasn't sure if her turning this cold was because she was already dead when he held her, or because she had turned to crystal.
But the fact he hadn't much reacted to her death made him think, that perhaps his own heart had stopped too, turning cold, yet shiny and sturdy like diamond, the first part of him to crystallize.
He realized that day that all his ideals relating to people were going to be disappointing anyway ; valuables such as money or jewelry would never really lose value and power ー and if lost, they could always be found again.
Hence, his mentality shifted to mostly caring for this side of him, thus neglecting his artistic side, burying it along with his mother.
He still has her statue intact. Sometimes he still wonders if he had gone to his mother first, and then to his father ; perhaps things would've been entirely different.
The reason he went to see his father first was because he had a specific goal in mind, to take revenge on him, not only for himself, but also for his uncle.
As a child, he had witnessed his father kill his own brother in order to inherit his wine producing company and be its new boss.
Montague's uncle used to be one of the very few people he looked up to aside from his mother, and it was him who had told him about the diamond amulet, as a farfetched fantasy, keeping him dreaming about it over and over.
All these thoughts were intermingled in his mind, causing him to choose revenge before sentiment, making him the legal new owner of the company. However, turning his mother to diamond was an unwanted side effect, leaving him confused about what to do next ー until he thought the loss of both parents would be too suspicious, especially that he had just returned.
He needed to get rid of the evidence as soon as possible.
[ tw for slight gore and accidental cannibalism ]
.
.
.
He decides to chop up his father's body into reasonably sized parts and turn them to diamond, changing their shapes in order to make them appealing enough.
The only thing he'd been too curious about was his heart. It felt like his true act of vengeance, and the first compulsive thought that crossed his mind was to eat it.
Distraught by his own actions afterwards, it didn't take too long for him to regret, and then continued with his initial plan of burying the evidence and having it spread around. Those cannibalistic tendencies will only show in random impulsive bits, especially after committing a murder.
His only witness had been his mother, just as he had been the only witness of his uncle's murder ー and the two of them will be quiet about them.

I’m sorry but I’m just a really huge Yves stan. Like listen, Yves would freak me out so bad that I would probably be sweating profusely every time he is within a 6 feet radius, but like as someone who went through parentification and was essentially a glass child with unmet needs when I was younger , the motherly vibes that Yves exudes,,, I’m sorry but I would be hooked, addicted even. Hell I might become the yandere too who knows LMAO.
Like Monty would be cool because I wouldn’t be as intimidated by him, well aside from his sheer size but he’s just a bit sleezy to me I dunno but Yves has this sort of lithe, vampiric, serpent like essence to him that would make me nervous but excited. Hell having someone pour into me in THAT fashion would have me excited.
Also and like correct me if I’m wrong (this is my interpretation) but I feel like Monty is the type of guy that would’ve folded for any person that gave him attention during that time. Like reader was just caught up at the right (wrong) time and now has him following them everywhere, when this literally could’ve been someone else (I think this was already addressed in the story, either this one or the first Monty story I can’t remember) but like YVES, I feel like he has a specific reason why he chose the reader, we would never know but there’s probably something really unique about his darling that makes him so enamored, maybe it a combination of things, who knows. But I feel like his love is more unique and special, to me.
I dunno man I just want someone to check up on me like Yves, I’m down bad.
tw: implication of suicide
YES I BE FUKIN DOWN BAD 4 YVES TOO CAUS HE IS SO MOTHERLY
okay so like the reason why Yves is so into you has been a hot topic on this account, originally i planned to be like some sort of reincarnation shit but that wouldn't hold much water and it would be a little too creepy to imply that he was watching even before ur birth, kinda like preordering a partner and that's already grooming
so i left it vague and up for interpretation and just said he's the allegory of a perfect parent (one link within the link) like i promise i do not condone grooming n incest shit but like, something about having someone knows you deeply and wholly like a fucking parent is really hot, not hot in the "i want to fuck my mom and dad" kinda way, but more like "OH GOD PLEASE I FUCKING WISH YVES IS REAL I WANT TO BE TAKEN CARE OF SO BAD AND I WANT SOMEONE TO SEE IM SUFFERING AND TAKWE IT AWAY FROM MEEEEE PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE PLEAASSSEEEEEEE"
these themes literally show up in almost all my works esp Yandere older brother, Yandere best friend and heavily in my Language Barrier series
Whereas for monty, that was my attempt of like trying something new, stuff that I' don't necessarily fancy but it's a nice change of pace, the exact opposite of Yves; the stereotype of the man of the house: dirty, manchild (cant cook), fixes shit his own, doesn't even own a house to handle its affairs, uses dishsoap to wash himself, sex fiend, financially irresponsible, inattentive but trying his best beer is my best friend
Whereas Yves is a stereotype of the woman, cooks, clean, has a 20 step skincare routine, takes care of his looks, hygiene, dress up well, proper etiquette, makeup, handles the finance, saving himself after marriage, more research than the FBI, loves fashion, fitness, live laugh love
and like i get it im not surprised , there will be those who prefer monty over Yves and Yves over monty. just like there's this anon who said something along the lines of Monty are for those who want to fix him, while Yves is for those who wants to BE fixed.
i did have a lot of anons disliking both sides of the yin n yang which was expected n shit
and yes ur right, Monty would have fallen for anyone who saved him not necessarily you, you just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time- but his saving grace is that once he latched on , he's never letting go there is no one that could replace you. Mans is going to off himself if you're gone
in conclusion, im also downbad for yves

In Our Favor
Part 361
McCoy
McCoy smiled softly as he snuggled into his favorite spot on Scotty’s chest. The sound of his husband’s heartbeat always soothed him to sleep. Briefly a thought of Aporal and Jaylah passed through his half asleep mind. Were they close like this in private? Were they just friends or more?
Jaylah’s protectiveness, which veered into fierceness at times, was more than a match for Aporal. Had he told her all about what he’d been through? Was that what had brought them closer after Andoria? The prince let out a soft sigh.
Aporal trusted Jaylah, maybe more than he trusted Scotty. And if it helped him heal, then whatever they were was a good thing.
McCoy woke to soft kisses against his face and a happy moan escaped his lips.
“Madainn mhath mo ghràdh,” whispered gently against his forehead before Scotty’s lips touched him again.
McCoy opened his eyes and smiled.
“Morning darlin’.”
“Sleep well?”
McCoy smiled and moved his face to meet Scotty’s mouth before he answered.
“Yep. You?”
Scotty nodded.
“I could stay like this all day,” McCoy sighed happily. He gave Scotty a squeeze with the arm he had across him.
“Aye me too,” Scotty whispered back.
They were silent for a few minutes, just enjoying the peace together.
“I suppose Francine will wonder where we are if we lay here too long,” McCoy said at last.
“Are ye enjoying it Len? Cooking with Mum?”
“Of course!” McCoy answered instantly. “I wish I had thought to have her help me sooner.” He gave a sarcastic chuckle. “Life of a prince huh? Not expecting to ever have to do basic tasks myself.”
“Ye know plenty and ye’re willing to learn which makes a big difference,” Scotty protested.
“I suppose,” McCoy agreed with another sigh.
“Come on,” Scotty said with a gentle slap against McCoy’s hip. “We’ll get some breakfast, help Mum, then who knows.” He smiled at McCoy before kissing him again.
“Who knows hmm?” McCoy repeated with a twinkle in his eye. I can think of some things…” He grinned.
“Later love,” Scotty laughed. “Mum’ll be waiting.”
The kitchen was warm and smelled of good things when McCoy and Scotty joined Francine after breakfast.
“Monty, do ye want to get started on some more cookies while I get Leonard started on the bread?”
“Sure Mum.” Scotty smiled at his mom and turned to get some ingredients from one of the cupboards.
“What do we do first?” McCoy asked Francine. She gave a light laugh.
“Ye mean, what do ye do first,” she smiled at him.
His brows raised in surprise.
“Aye Leonard, I’ll tell ye what to do, but ye’re going to do the work.”
The prince laughed and saw his husband laughing.
“Ok,” McCoy said happily. “What do I do first?”
Part 362
Scotty
"Now we just have to wait for the biscuits and bread to get ready. Ye did a great job. Both of ye," Francine praised the boys with a smile on her face once everything was in the oven.
"Thanks to you, Francine. You taught us quite well. I'm really excited to see how the Yule bread turned out," Leonard replied and a grin crossed Scotty's face.
"And to see who will find the trinket this year. All of us deserve some luck for the upcoming year," the Scotsman said.
The year before Leonard had been the one to find it. Maybe this time sometime else would be the lucky one.
"Well, I for my part think that it did a pretty good job for me. Of course there were ups and downs, but I still have the loveliest Scotsman ever at my side and I guess academy is going pretty great too." Leonard pressed a kiss to Scotty's cheek and wrapped an arm around the Scottish lad's waist to pull him closer.
"Maybe our two engaged lovebirds will find it this time," Scotty said, smiling at the thought of Leah and Robbie. The two of them would probably take all the luck they could get.
"Well... we'll find out soon enough. I will take care of the rest now. Feel free to do whatever ye young lads wanna do now," Francine told the boys and they didn't need to hear that twice.
When Scotty and Leonard returned to their room, the prince was already ready to enjoy a few hours in bed. He quickly locked the door behind them and before Scotty could even say something Leonard's lips already met his, shutting him up.
"Len," the Scotsman got out in between several heated kisses being pressed to his mouth, while Leonard moved them over to the bed. Scotty could feel the buttons of his shirt being opened.
"I can't wait any moment longer," Leonard breathed into his ear and it wasn't too long until the couple dropped onto the bed.
Scotty chuckled softly. That was the Leonard he knew. That was his mad man.
"Well, I suppose I shouldn't let ye wait any longer then, eh?"
Scotty was just about to undo his husband's pants when one of their PADDs suddenly rang.
A groan escaped Leonard's mouth and he shook his head in disbelief.
"We're not available at the moment," he said, beginning to press kisses to Scotty's now bare chest, but the Scotsman gently pushed him back.
"It could be important. Maybe it's Aporal," he said and Leonard pouted at him.
"Nothing can be more important than this."
However, when he saw the look on Scotty's face, the prince eventually gave up. They both buttoned up their shirts and then sat upright in bed.
"Who is it?" Leonard asked, sounding only the slightest bit annoyed, when Scotty reached for his PADD.
"Oh, it's Jim."
A moment later the face of the blond young man appeared on the screen.
"Hey guys, how are you? You said I should call you sometime and... I have time now," Jim greeted them with a smile on his face and Scotty returned it.
"Hey Jimbo, we're fine. What about ye and Spock?"
"Oh, we're good, we're good. Spock is having a chat with his father at the moment and his mother is busy too so there's only me. Now, why is Bones frowning like that?" Jim looked at Leonard and it didn't take long for the blond to understand what was going on. A grin crossed his face.
"Oooh, I see. I disturbed you, huh? Our royal couple being naughty." He clicked his tongue. "Now I didn't mean to interrupt something like that."
Once again Leonard let out a groan and rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Bones. I really am. We can end the call."
"Nae, nae. It's fine, laddie. We were just... relaxing. Why don't ye tell us about yer time on Vulcan?"

Part 5
~ Eight Years Ago ~
— — —
Sophie doesn’t know if it’s more or less scary that she doesn’t know where the bad security guard is. The place is so big that that it makes sense that she can’t immediately see him, but at the same time she doesn’t know what he’s doing, or if he has some plan to capture her, or anything. She knows that there’s cameras everywhere, and she’s learned from experience that grown ups can recognize her from any angle because of her hair, so she keeps the Monty hood pulled firmly over her head as she navigates.
Her first step after she gets out of the lost and found is to find a girls’ bathroom. She stands on her tippy-toes and rinses out the water bottle, wipes the rim thoroughly with a paper towel, then fills it up and screws it shut with tiny hands. That goes into her backpack. Next, she locks herself in a stall and takes inventory.
Flashlight. If her mom doesn’t come and get her before closing, which is likely, this will be good for getting around when the lights are down. There’s a little symbol imprinted on the plastic - a rectangle shaped Freddy face, with an arrow next to it that points to a lightning bolt. Ah. So THAT’S what those are for.
The camera. Sophie isn’t sure why she grabbed this, but being able to take pictures is a useful thing, so she doesn’t regret it. With her full little lips pursed out in focus, she examines it from all angles; then, on a whim, turns the lens towards her face and presses the button.
FLASH!
The bright light startles Sophie so bad that she fully drops the camera, pressing her fingers over her eyes. Below, she hears the camera clatter to the floor and whir as it spits out a picture. Sophie blinks, teary-eyed, and sniffles, then picks the camera up and pulls the picture out. The image slowly fades into view - herself, pupils dilated and reflecting the flash, looking somehow both impassive and stunned. She stares at it for a moment, then giggles quietly to herself and sticks the photo in the pocket of her new hoodie.
Gun looking thing, which, on closer inspection, has lightning bolts on it. Oh! Sophie’s heard about tasers, but she’s never seen one. It’s heavier than she expected. Some of the other stuff she grabbed, on closer inspection, looks like they fit into the taser. It looks like it has one in there already. Hm. Sophie will figure that out as she goes.
A level four security pass. Sophie doesn’t know what the level four part means, but “security pass” she understands. She can explore the alluring areas behind the “Staff Only” doors now.
The other stuff is pretty self explanatory - a notepad and pen, a magnet, a box cutter (which Sophie puts in her pocket right away,) and, of course, her new best friend the screwdriver and the four screws she stole with it.
Okay. She’s doing alright so far. But she has to leave the bathroom, even though she really just wants to curl up in here forever. Sophie knows that when she gets lost, she should stay put, and somebody will come and find her. Which means that if she doesn’t want somebody to come and find her, she needs to keep moving.
First, though, she goes to the bathroom. She’s had to for a while, but was too scared to ask the birthday girl’s mom.
— — —
Time flies when you’re having fun. It drags when you’re in danger.
Sophie’s body can’t really keep up the feeling of constant terror for that long, so there are stretches of time where she almost forgets that she’s being hunted. Her inner monologue is something like: Is that him? Is that him? That looks like him. Not him. Where should I go? Where can I hide? My feet are tired. Oh my god there’s a bakery here?
The hallways are huge in this place, but they also twist and wind like a maze the deeper she gets into the building. There’s barely any signs, and the sparse directories Sophie finds don’t really tell her where she is. It’s probably easy for normal people to navigate, but she’s gonna have to be careful. She's made a crude little map for herself on her notepad, which she's adding to the longer she spends wandering the grounds.
The hours feel like years. A few times Sophie DOES see him, quickly ducking into a nearby photo booth or behind a plant or the like and holding her breath until he's gone.
Eventually the teenagers and adults start to trickle out, causing Sophie's chances of hiding in a crowd to dwindle. Eleven PM on the dot, the announcement that the PizzaPlex is closing comes crackling over the intercom. Well. She didn't NOT see this coming. It doesn't stop her heart from sinking. She sets her jaw and heads towards the front with the crowd.
As they're preoccupied with flooding out the door, Sophie digs her security pass out of her backpack and confidently opens the staff only door. Her first impression is pitch blackness, but nobody out there can see her hesitate, so she steps confidently inside.
Dark. It's really fucking dark in here, and there's the faintest moan of moving air. Sophie rummages through her backpack to find her flashlight and turns it on. She's standing on top of a winding staircase, leading down into void.
Just behind her, muffled by the door, she can still hear people talking and laughing on their way out. Her chest aches as her heart throbs, and she hears a little whimper creak out of her throat. She takes as step back, turning her torso slightly towards the door and grabbing the handle.
...No. It's safer for her to be in the last place she was seen than it is for her to be locked out in the cold night with no way home and no way to reach her mom. Sophie knows that.
She takes a deep breath, opens her backpack, and takes out her black pullover.
Sophie hates the echo of her footsteps in the endless halls. It feels like she's shouting "HERE I AM!" with every step she takes. And she hates that she has no idea where she's going, and she hates that it's so dark, and she hates-
There's an angry male voice coming from somewhere up ahead.
Sophie looks frantically around and sees a big wheelie cart. She runs up to it and reaches up, but her tiny arms can't even reach the rim.
The voice is getting closer. Sophie's breath catches. She turns off her flashlight, tucks her knees and hands and face into her hoodie, and curls into a little black ball in the darkness behind the cart. Like camouflage. Camouflage hides prey from predators. Camouflage works in nature. Camouflage will work for Sophie.
"-know that she’s still here. I saw her on the cameras. She ran out and then ran right back in, she knows she’s got nowhere else to go.”
“And you’re sure she hasn’t left since then?” The second voice, feminine, sounds distinctly like someone on speakerphone.
“Pretty damn sure! I can always find her on the cameras, but she keeps fucking MOVING!”
"Clever girl," says the phone.
"Clever girl," says the security guard.
"Clevah guuuuuuuuuullll," they both chime at the same time, enunciating it strangely.
The security guard sighs. "My feet are so tired."
Sophie feels the cart move and flinches hard. She risks a peek up through her hood and sees her security guard leaning right up on her cart to stretch his legs.
"I don't get what's WRONG with this one. Kids are fucking stupid. Aren't kids supposed to be fucking stupid?"
"You know they're- not all the same, right?" says the phone. "They're, like, full human people. They have personalities and talents and stuff."
The security guard freezes. "Woah, woah, woah. You going soft?"
"How do you mean?"
"Well- y'can't- you gotta think of them like big, dumb dogs. Or like- more like livestock, you know? This place, it's just- a slaughterhouse, you know? You ever been to a slaughterhouse? It's pretty fucked, but we all eat beef the same."
"What's your point?"
"Well- it's like, if you think of them like people, wouldn't that make it harder to...you know."
"Kill them?" asks the phone. "Not really. It actually kinda helps."
The security guard finishes stretching one calf and puts a hand on his hip. "Really!" he exclaims, fascinated.
"Yeah. I wouldn't kill a dog. I wouldn't kill a cow - I'll eat beef, sure, but if I had a cow and a knife, I wouldn't kill it. Unless I was starving, probably. Point is, animals can't do anything WRONG, you know? Feels wrong to kill something just cause it can't talk to ask you not to. But with humans, it's an even playing field. So yeah, it helps to think of it like killing a future adult."
"Huh. Alright. You're a sick freak, you know that?"
"We both do what we do for a reason."
Sophie finds her body relaxing bit by bit, almost by necessity. They're talking loud enough that she lets herself breathe a little bit deeper, make a little more noise. But her brain is still blaring the alarm of (He's right there) and (He's going to kill you,) and (If the cart moves just the right way it'll knock into me and then he'll realize that something's in its way and then he'll look and then he'll see-)
The security guard gives a loud groan-sigh that makes Sophie flinch HARD. She hears the hollow rumbling on the plastic as he leans against the cart.
"Wonder if Afton ever fumbled."
"Keep this up long enough and you might be able to ask him."
"Oh, God, I hadn't even thought of that," the security guard groans. He falls silent for a bit, shaking his head, then-
"Welp. Gotta go do. Actual security guard shit, now that it’s closing...Hey, speaking of, how's the, uh, the new head of security coming?"
"Jeremy?”
“Yeah, him!”
“Right. Uh. He had a little accident with the paper cutter."
"Jesus Christ?"
"But don't worry. We got a new candidate. A really...compatible candidate."
The voices fade into the distance. Sophie hears footsteps climbing the stairs, hears words fade into noises, and then hears the door open and close.
Immediately, she jumps to her feet and starts sprinting down the hallway.
Her worn soles echo loudly in the hallway as she sprints. She runs until her lungs are on fire and there's bile in her throat and her panting is almost as loud as her footsteps and there's a cramp in her side and even then she doesn't stop until she trips, foot catching in a grate and sending her crashing to the ground hard.
She grunts loudly as she hits the ground, then lies there for a moment. The pain slowly catches up with her body, starting to burn and move through her with thick pulses and lazy swirls.
Slowly, she stands up. Her entire body is shaking. Tears well up to her eyes, but she keeps her mouth shut. She makes sure her hood is over her hair and keeps limping through the tunnels.
A dead end. Sophie knows that she knows better than to stay in a dead end, but her body isn't listening to her. She sits down in a corner, pulls out her taser and her camera, sits them on her lap, then curls into herself and starts to quietly sob.

Act 1, Scene 2 of Twisted Veronaville: The Homosexual Supporting Cast
THE LAST PAGE
Every four years, the Summerdreams host a party and invite both the Capps and the Montys, in hopes of establishing peace. This used to be once per year, but got moved to four years after Mercutio ended up in the hospital from an especially bad fight with Tybalt.
The most recent party was a special one: Oberon and Titania have once again sworn their loyalty to each other, and Puck had his first kiss with Hermia.
Puck: Congrats on getting married again, Mom!
Titania: Thanks, dear. This party was a success, wasn't it?
Puck: Seems so! But Mercutio saw me kissing Hermia, and I think he's upset.
Oberon: You can talk to him about it, can you? Just host another party...we'll make it a boys only party, just so it won't be repetitive! How about that?
Puck: (I'm not sure if I'm a boy, though)...Sure?
And so he did. A whole new party, just to apologize to one guy.
Puck: ...And I'm really sorry if I hurt your feelings.
Mercutio: You hosted another party just for this? It's not that big of a deal, Puck. I'm honestly more upset that you invited Tybalt to this than I am about the kiss.
Tybalt: I'M THREE FEET AWAY FROM YOU, DUMBASS! I CAN HEAR YOU!
Puck: It's a formality. We invite at least one member from both families so none of you think we're taking sides. I've seen what Tybalt has done to the people who only align themselves with your family.
Tybalt: I CAN STILL HEAR YOU!
Mercutio: Yeah, that's fair. But in all seriousness, I'm not mad about the kiss. Sure it sucks that she didn't like me, but she chose you. I'm not going to break up our friendship over a Capp, even if it's someone cool like Hermia.
Puck: Thanks, Mercutio.
Romeo: ...Puck, I think you should've just invited Hermia and Mercutio instead of having an "all-boys party" just to have this conversation.
Tybalt: For once, I actually agree with Romeo.
Romeo: Nobody asked!
Tybalt: I'M LITERALLY ON YOUR SIDE YOU PIECE OF-
The party was a success...for Puck. As for Tybalt, he was just angry. Angrier than usual, and he needed some way to release it. But Juliette wouldn't listen to him and Consort was at work, so that left only one person.
Tybalt: And then that fucker had the audacity to talk shit about me the entire time!
Hermia: (Where the hell is Grandpa when you need him?) Okay? Why do you care so much about what Mercutio thinks of you?
Tybalt: Stop making this weird!
Hermia: I mean, you bring him up every time we talk. It feels like you constantly think about him.
Tybalt: I do!
Hermia: ...
Tybalt: ...I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT!
Hermia: Sure...whatever helps you sleep at night, buddy.
And here lies the surviving sisters of the Capp family, one with many children and the other with none. But the two have something in common...
Goneril: I can't stop thinking about Bianca...
Regan: I hate her stupid glasses and her pretty face...
Goneril: I hate her stupid soft hair and lips...GAH! Why do I keep thinking about her?
Regan: She's a Monty! I can't be thinking about a Monty this way!
Goneril: I need to focus on my family!
Regan: And my job!
Goneril/Regan: And also, I'm married!
Kent: Regan, are you okay?
Regan: Kent, not right now. I'm having a crisis.
Kent: Okay, geez...
Kent: So yeah, Cornwall is insufferable. I'm thinking of moving out soon, but I don't know if I have enough money to live on my own.
Bianca: Do you want to be roommates?
Kent: Would that be weird? I'm a Capp and you're a Monty.
Bianca: Oh, I'm not worried about that! I've stopped caring about my family thinks a long time ago. And you should, too.
Kent: Well, alright! I'll see you soon.
*beep*
Antonio: Bianca, who were you talking to?
Bianca: Kent.
Antonio: That Capp guy? I told you to drop him a long time ago.
Bianca: You still care about the feud?
Antonio: Of course I did! They murdered my wife!
Bianca: And you're sure it's them, and not someone else?
Antonio: Who else would've done it?
And lying near the river that separates the Capps and Montys, lies two peculiar forces...
???: Have you found anyone worthy from the other towns?
???: There's one person. His name is Tank Grunt, from Strangetown. He's physically strong and appears noble.
???: I see. He should have no problem handling the fights in Veronaville. Will he cooperate, though?
???: I believe so. Who wouldn't want the chance to be a hero? The one who defies the fates set up by the Watcher and forges their own path?
???: I suppose you're right. Let's bring him here tomorrow...

The random Y/N Character Profile I made for my first Sun/Moon book.
💛If you have any questions or suggestions about the Y/N or the AU feel free to ask. I will also take questions on the characters if you want.💙
Name: Y/N L/N
Age: 23
Birthday: * insert the month and day you were born*. If your birthday has already happened this year then you were born in 2000. If your birthday has not already happened this year then you were born in 1999.
Gender and prounouns: Any gender. Prounouns are They/Them, but you can also imagine it as your pronouns if you want.
Appearance: However you want to look. I try to keep it as inclusive as I can. Later on you might dye your hair, but If that happens I will leave the color up for you to decide.
Personality: You are a kind person until given a reason not to be. You don't take crap from anyone. You can be playful or calm depending on the day. You have some anger issues and can basically scare Monty into behaving better, though most of the time you just cuddle him.
Little note: Before we move on to the relationships I have a few things I want you to know. Vannesa and Vanny are twins. Neither one are corrupted. Gregory is the adopted kid of Vanessa. DJMM has a smaller humanized body that he can switch his AI to.
Relationships: When you first go to the plex you don’t know anybody, so these are after you get to know everyone. Sun and Moon both thought you were amazing from the moment they saw you. When they get to know you they both start developing crushes on You. Sun develops a crush faster than Moon does, but only by a couple days. An added plus is that both of them are happy to have a relationship with you later on. Freddy is like a father figure to you. He reminds you to take breaks and eat some food. He will carry you around in his arms if you get tired. He even stays up to date with all the stuff in the plex so he can tell you about what to avoid. Monty is like a cool older brother to you. You guys fight a bunch but will always stand up for each other. He often helps you pull small pranks. He will cuddle you when he's angry to help him calm down. Roxy Is like a cool aunt to you. She protects you from everything. She is almost always ready to do your hair well you talk about random things. Every once in a while she will use some of her prize tokens to get you prizes from the arcade. Chica is like your silly but mature when needed aunt. She loves to gossip with you about all the things going on in the plex. She gives you amazing fashion advice when you ask. She is the very first to defend you if anyone says any bad stuff to you in front of the Glamarocks. She was the first to tell you that she and Roxy were dating. DJMM is like your dorky little brother. He will pull you in just to talk about randomness. He loves when you bring him anything like Star Wars, Marvel, etc. You guys will have random dance parties when the plex is closed. You see Vanny as one of your best friends. She is always there for you. She offers to do your makeup or dye your hair. She will take you shopping at all the stores. You see Vanessa as a mom friend. She's a lot like freddy. She will take care of you and buy you lunch if you look hungry. She secretly loves having someone to be the mom friend too (she would never say that out loud though). Gregory is like a little brother to you. He will come to you, vannesa, or freddy if he needs anything. Sometimes he and you stay up late and talk about all the things (once you had a talk about the most painful way to die). You buy him all the freddy plushies he wants. You don't have a super detailed relationship with the staff bots but will wave and gently pat their heads if they come close enough.

Alternative Season 2 Episode 4: "My Plan"
Riverblossom Hills, early 1998
House of Catherine Viejo and Betty Goldenstein
The two great lifelong friends Catherine and Betty have experienced many things over the years, from failed marriages to the loss of a great friend... But not everything is bad as it seems, apparently Betty has set her sights in that Scottish farmer named Leod.
Betty (Washing her hands as she stared at Leod, who was helping to plant some crops): "To his bad luck, there aren't that many young women here in town, but I get the feeling that Leod has feelings for me... Is this going to be a joke and try to take my money?
On her way to the garden, the 65-year-old woman ran into her friend Catherine, who was talking to a couple she had never seen in her life.
Catherine (smiling): What great memories of caring for little Irene and baby Ashlee! And I'm so much happier that you all moved to Riverblossom Hills!
Trisha (Hugging her husband Ryan and looking at her friend Catherine with a smile): We're glad to see you again Katy too! Irene and Ashlee will love this news so much, especially Ivy who will be starting classes soon there. very popular academy called "Academie Le Tour" and will need some help haha!
Ryan (Thinking about everything that happened in these years): Hey Honey, how old are Ivy and Ash?
Trisha and Catherine laughed at Ryan, noticing Betty's presence.
Betty (a little uncomfortable): What are you doing Catherine?
Catherine: I was here talking to some friends of mine: The Thaaroth family! This is Trisha, This is Ryan and they have two lovely daughters: Irene and Ashlee!
Trisha and Ryan: Nice to meet you, Mrs. Goldenstein! It's a pleasure to meet you!
Betty (looking at Leod, who was waiting for her): Anyway, nice to meet you, gentlemen Thaaroth... if you'll excuse me, I'll be right back.
The woman went out to talk to the farmer, who was smiling at her.
Leod (While grabbing a shovel): Ready Miss Goldenstein, I've finished everything in the garden! I hope you can grow a lot of vegetables...
Betty (with a big smile at the brown-haired man) Thank you so much Leod, you're super nice!
At that moment Leod hugged Betty very affectionately, causing confusion in the older woman, who responded to the hug.
Leod: I love you so much, Miss Betty, I've really fallen in love with you!
Meanwhile in Downtown
Park family house
Clementine and her daughter Desiree were having breakfast while they talked about a possible move.
Desiree (while she ate): Mom, One question, don't you think the house is too small for both of us?
Clementine (finishing eating): Honey, this house belonged to your grandparents, and although it would be nice to expand the space, I mean... You need a room of your own haha! Although your "room" is very nice, don't you think? .
Desiree (Looking across the room): Mom, my bedroom is a part of the living room...
Clementine (Getting up to go to work): Well honey, I have to go!, I'll be back later, you know, in which case it's late, you can order a pizza or there's bread for you to make sandwiches!, I love you!.
Once her mom left her, Desiree called her best friend Bianca Monty to spend the day with her. The two girls were watching TV and talking.
Bianca: Apparently Kent will continue studying remotely, his dad is too strict with him... I wish he could study with us... While Priscilla, although she doesn't want to say it, is in love with my brother, she even scared a girlfriend! from Tony!.
Desiree: Really? I can't wait to get back to school.
Bianca: Relax Desiree!!, next week we'll go back to class!
The two girls continued to watch television. Meanwhile in Strangertown, House of the Vu family
The young Crystal was insisting her mother to enroll her in "Academie Le Tour"
Crystal (pleading): Come on mom!! Academie Le Tour has a lot of interesting things!! Besides, Strangertown is too horrible!..
Miranda: Crys, are you sure you want to go to that academy? Don't you think it's better to stay here?
Crystal: No mom! Plus there are now scholarships to get into Academie Le Tour!
The blonde girl left the house, where her uncle was talking with some friends and in the distance she saw Lazlo Curious (that boy she didn't like at all)
Crystal: "Oh no... Here's Lazlo... When will it be the day he decides to take a shower?"
Lazlo: Hi Crys, you look so cute today!
Crystal (disgusted): Uhh thanks...
Lazlo (moving closer to the blonde): Hey Crystal, I want to tell you something...
At that moment, the black-haired boy tried to kiss the blonde, who, very disgusted, rejected him, while Dr. Vu looked at everything seriously.
Dr Vu: What are you doing so close to my beloved niece!? SHE CAN'T WASTE HER TIME WITH YOU!!
Lazlo: Mr. Vu, Crystal can already decide what to do even if she wants to go to that academy that is far from here, she can do it!
That made Phinneas turn to see her niece furiously.
Dr Vu: Crystal comes home, let's talk now!!
Upon entering the house, the well-known doctor began to scold Crystal about this idea that she had
Dr Vu: How come you're going to Academie Le Tour without our permission!? Didn't your mom tell you that place is very dangerous!?
Crystal: But the descendants of the Capps and Monty study there! It doesn't seem so bad!
Dr Vu (Serious): I'm just trying to show you that the world outside is very dangerous, I don't want any idiot to treat you badly and take advantage of you... Go straight to your room and finish reading the books I brought you!
Crystal (angry): Ush!!... It's okay!!
This was not going to stay like this, Crystal already had a great plan with her friend Renee Aguilera, which was to escape (well, Crystal, since Renee did have permission from her parents) to go to Academie Le Tour . Once she had changed her clothes, Crystal looked at herself in the mirror and smiled, since at last she would be free from her uncle's laws.
Crystal (Thinking): "Will my mom be up? I want to say goodbye to her before I go."
When she left her, her mother was indeed awake, who hugged her and decided to advise her.
Miranda: Daughter... I'm sure you'll live many adventures in that place, I know you'll have a great time... Although your uncle can be very overprotective, he loves you very much... We want you to be a very intelligent girl and that you don't fall in love with the first idiot that crosses your path.... Like I did... Please take care of yourself
Crystal (hugging her mom): Okay mom, I'll send you a letter every week, see you later!

Surgery
“We’re heading towards the Grounder village that called for help,” Bellamy says over the radio.
“Keep us posted on what you find,” Abby says. “And let us know if you’ll need anything on your way back.”
“Will do, ma’am.”
Abby leans over to Clarke, who’s trying not to stress about them going out. “He’s very polite.”
Clarke looks up. “What?”
“I’m just saying that he’s a good kid.”
Clarke goes red in the face. “ Mom. ”
“Sorry, I’ll stop.”
“We’ve reached the Grounder camp,” Kane says.
“He’s such a nice guy, Mom,” Clarke says.
“Okay, I get what you mean. I said I’ll stop,” Abby replies, then grabs the radio. “Sounds good, Marcus.”
It’s quiet, they can hear footsteps which is odd considering they’re using a radio. Then gunshots.
“Marcus?” Abby asks.
More gunshots.
“Bellamy?” Clarke breathes.
Silence.
“Marcus! What’s going on?”
More silence.
“Marcus!”
The silence is broken by static. “Prep Medical,” Kane says finally. “Bellamy and Jasper got hit. We don’t know who had the guns but someone was firing at us. We managed to retreat and everyone else was unharmed.”
“We’re going to prep Medical now. Where are the injuries?”
“Jasper’s arm and leg, but both are pretty minor. Bellamy got hit in the chest, but it didn’t hit anything vital to my knowledge. He’s just bleeding a lot, which Harper’s trying to stop.”
“Okay, we’ll see you when you guys get back.”
Abby and Clarke rush to Medical and with Jackson’s help, they prepare for Jasper and Bellamy. Clarke paces around wringing her hands, wishing that she had gone on the mission.
I don’t care if it risks my life, now they’re out there without any medical help and the person who knows the most is the one who got shot.
“I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Abby says.
Clarke nods, uncertainty eating away at her. “I’m sure he will be.”
“We’re a minute out,” Kane says.
Clarke runs out and she gets outside as the Jeep is pulling into camp. They carry Bellamy out of the back.
“Bellamy!” Clarke runs over and Bellamy turns his head towards her.
“Hey, Clarke,” he whispers.
“Hey,” Clarke replies. “You’re gonna be fine.”
“Of course I will be. I’ve got too much to do not to be.”
Clarke laughs. They take Bellamy into a room for surgery and Clarke takes care of Jasper’s injuries.
“Is Bellamy gonna be alright?” Jasper asks.
“Of course he will,” Clarke answers, even though she isn’t sure.
Once she’s taken care of Jasper’s injuries, she heads to the room that Bellamy’s in. They aren’t done yet so Clarke paces the length of the hallway, every negative thought coming to her mind.
Something’s gonna go wrong. He’s gonna lose too much blood. He won’t make it through surgery.
Monty walks past, then backtracks when he notices that Clarke’s pacing. “Hey, what’s up?”
“Bellamy’s in surgery right now, but he had lost a lot of blood before going in there.”
Monty holds his arms out and Clarke hugs him.
“Bellamy will be fine, I’m sure of it.”
Clarke bites back every negative response, including the fact that it isn’t guaranteed that he’ll make it out. Instead, she hums non committedly. Monty stays with her for a bit, trying to reassure her. He has to get back to work, so she’s left alone again. After a painfully long time, Abby walks out of the room.
“He’s gonna pull through just fine, Clarke,” Abby says.
Clarke sighs in relief and puts her head in her hands.
“There’s someone at the gate asking for Bellamy,” one of the guards says.
“I’ll talk to Kane,” Abby says, then heads into the other room.
Clarke walks out to the gate, curiosity getting the better of her since she can’t see Bellamy right now anyway. She sees Murphy with a female Grounder.
“Murphy?” She jogs the rest of the way over to the gate and she gets a smile from Murphy.
“Hey, Princess.”
“You can let him in, he’s one of us,” Clarke says.
The guards don’t move to open the gate.
“She’s right, open the gate,” Kane’s voice says.
Clarke turns and Kane’s walking up. The guards open the gates and Murphy walks through.
“Hey, Kane. Long time no see.”
“Where’s Jaha?” Kane asks.
“Now that is a super long story that I don’t think I want to get into right this second. Where’s Bellamy?” Murphy asks.
“He just got out of surgery, but he’s gonna be alright,” Clarke answers.
“Surgery? Wow, that’s something else. Don’t have another comment for it. Guys, this is Emori.”
“Hi,” Clarke says with a small wave.
“Let me get you guys settled and we can talk more,” Kane says. “Clarke, can you watch over Bellamy? I’m sure your mother has to get back to Medical.”
“Yeah, I’ll head that way now.”
Clarke heads back to the room and Abby heads back to Medical once Clarke’s settled.
Bellamy wakes up and notices Clarke sitting next to him.
“Hey, Princess,” Bellamy says.
“Hey,” Clarke replies.
“I need to get out there and find out what’s going on.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Yes, I do.”
“You need to stay here and rest. It’s for your own good.”
“We still have to catch the men responsible for the shots,” Bellamy says, trying to sit up.
Clarke puts both of her hands on Bellamy’s chest, avoiding his injury, and gently pushes him back down. “You need to rest. You’ll bust your stitches.”
Bellamy glances at Clarke’s hands, then back up to her face. “If you wanted to touch my chest you could have just asked,” he says with a playful grin.
Clarke glares at him and he raises his hands in surrender. “Miller and the others will figure it out. For right now, I need you to stay here.”
“I can’t just stay here. I always go with them, what will they do without me?”
“I’m sure they’ll be fine. There’s someone who wants to talk to you anyway.”
“Is there?”
Clarke nods, then walks to the doorway and waves. After a minute, Murphy walks in with a sheepish grin.
“Son of a bitch,” Bellamy says. “Glad to see you made it back, Murphy.”
Murphy nods. “Didn’t think that I’d have such a warm welcome.”
“You probably wouldn’t have if things hadn’t turned out the way they did.” Bellamy smiles, looking at Clarke in the edge of his vision.
“Ah, so the Princess saves me again? This is starting to become a bad habit of ours.”
Clarke nods. “Stop doing dumb shit and we won’t have this problem.”
Murphy laughs. “Whatever you say. Speaking of which, I brought a friend.”
“Did you? I didn’t think you could make those. I can meet her once I’m able to walk around again. Doctor said I can’t.”
“Poor you,” Murphy replies. “I’m gonna head out, but I’ll see ya around camp. Take care, Bellamy.”
“You too, Murphy.”
Murphy leaves and a minute later, Octavia runs in.
“Bell!” Octavia shouts, then runs over to Bellamy.
“Hey, O.”
Octavia hugs Bellamy and he winces, but doesn’t say anything about the pain and hugs her back. Octavia pulls away.
“I heard what happened. Are you okay?” Octavia asks.
“Yeah. Abby and Clarke patched me up good as new,” Bellamy answers, forcing a smile.
“Okay, I’m glad.”
“Me too.”
“I have some stuff to do, but can I come back when I’m done?”
“Of course you can.”
Octavia smiles, then nods and leaves.
“That went well,” Clarke says with a smile.
“Yeah, it did,” Bellamy replies, smiling. “I’m so glad.”
“Me too. I think I need to get back to work though.”
“Can’t you just sit with me for a while?” Bellamy asks.
“Sure,” Clarke answers, walking over.
She sits down next to him and he wraps an arm around her.
“Don’t hurt yourself.”
“I won’t.”
Clarke lays her head on Bellamy’s shoulder.
“You comfortable, Princess?”
“I will move.”
“Okay, I’ll stop. I’m just teasing.”
The two end up staying there like that until they fall asleep.

ok list of concepts I have thought of but can't draw atm because Hand Hurty
• I've been toying with the idea of princess maybe being linked to Moonlight somehow by her mother? like her mom and moonlight interacted for something? but I realized I think Gary would fit that sort of role better bc they look more like their mother and also it gives them something to do !! I love them but they are very underdeveloped I thinks...
• this leads to an exchange between Gary and Chip that goes a little something like:
Gary: do you have prophetic dreams too :D???
Chip: i mean i guess you could call it that
Gary: SWEET
• here's the big thing I've been thinking about for a while. I think... Gary visits the Castelle Castle to. kill their parents, because they still assume them to both be there and because he was traumatized by them & thinks they are horrible people. cause they kind of are. but instead finds Princess (and Chip and Gidget)
• And. so princess and Gary reunion. Gary would never kill Princess bc they used to be very close!! but Princess is sort of like.. convinced that she needs to be like her parents and that she needs to revive the kingdom and such. she's like "if I don't I will disappoint my whole entire family *FORCED SMILE*" because she is Also Traumatized. and Gary is very very very against this.
• .......... eventually this conflict escalated when Princess finds out why Gary arrived in the first place and so a sibling quarrel takes place except Gary Has A Fucking Sword and Princess is out for blood (not really but she's now kinda fearing for her life here. do not get it twisted though Gary had no intention of hurting her at all)
• So now they are both scratched up and both ? I guess? coming to some sort of understanding? or they are on that path. not quite there yet. That's why I draw Princess with scars sometimes, that's where she got the notch out of her ear from.
• Eventually Eventually they both reconcile and start to heal and just. they are good and I love them very much. I love the Castelle Siblings !!!!!!
• princess has a bee theme going on. and I've been pondering the idea of how she managed to survive in thw tower for so long. so maybe........ she lived next to a bee hive or something..... which would maybe make her sick of both bees and honey by the time she is rescued. Gary fuckin loves bees though
• speaking of, princess regularly feels awkward around other people and likes to isolate herself in the tower. like she will go back in there because it's what she's used to. :(
• Monty and Wallace beat the shit out of both Midnight and Moonlight. if you even care
#saying stuff#WELCOME TO THE FIRST LORE DUMP 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍#lore dump#NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE!!!!!!!!!! :D#giggle#ok so i lied something happens in between the sibling squabble and their journey to recovery#but it requires a bit more sensitivity and id like to not put it in a post with a sort of silly tone#and i need to give it more thought too#i love all my ocs very much#outdated#non canon#U_U SAD!

~~First Maintenance~~
I guess I was wrong to assume when my next shift was. It was the next day, but it was entirely overnight. Meaning from 7 pm to 6 am. I mourn the loss of sleep- maybe I can sneak in a few naps while on the clock- it certainly sounds possible. In the meantime, while the sun is up, I have college classes to attend to… Ok, only 2 classes today, but they’ve got a mean workload!!
College classes go by in an excited haze, I got to gloat to my professor that I got a gig at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizza-Plex, a sentence that got a surprised eyebrow raise. And now, I’m driving down the freeway to the aforementioned Pizza-Plex. There are only a few slip-ups on the road as I make my way there, but I have enough reaction time to keep myself out of trouble. Which is a blessing as I'm certain my mom would cry if anything happened. The parking lot is slowly making itself vacant, I should’ve expected as much.
I’m a little early to my shift tonight, but I thought the place would be completely empty by now, 10 minutes until close should have people running for the doors. Unless they’re at the gift shops, then it makes sense. I cross the threshold into the plaza. A few families look my way, but ultimately pay no mind as I walk further in. Glancing through my work email on my Fazwatch, it’s a short list. But a short list with 11 hours to complete it means each task is time-consuming.
I make my way to the locker rooms, callus as I scrape my backpack against one of the walls during a sharp turn. There’s a gasp as I complete my motion, it comes from the mouth of a lady. Guess I startled her. She has long blond hair, kept in a ponytail, and wearing one of the Fazbear uniforms.
“Oops, sorry about that. I’m not the most careful person around.” I say casually. I move past her to my locker.
“Uh-huh.” She starts off, really drawing out both syllables.
“I’m (Y/N), the new mechanic. How ‘bout you?” I ask, putting my backpack down in the locker.
“... Vanessa. I'm the head of security here.” She says while adjusting her tie.
“Are there any other employees here tonight?”
“Well… there’s Leo, but his shift ends soon, I think.” Vanessa closes her locker and walks out of the room. She’s really serious about her job, isn’t she?
I throw the uniform button-up over my shoulders and snatch the hat before rushing out of the locker room. I quickly catch up with her as she makes her way up the stairs to those ‘behind stage’ areas.
“Do you like working here?” I ask as soon as I catch up to her. She stumbles on a step before turning to me.
“How are you so quiet? Like it here?? You need to stop.” Vanessa stumbles over her words too, apparently.
“Ok, slow down. Take a second to organize your thoughts,” I say in a slower tempo, “I have no idea how I’m stealthy, it just happens sometimes. Yes, how do you like it here? I'm curious. And, finally, I will not stop.” I take my time answering her, just to give her more time to recover. But all she does is look at me with her brows creased together, it seems I get on her nerves too, not just Monty’s.
“I don’t have to like it here, it’s a job. The pay is the only good thing about this place.” She says it through clenched teeth. Is it really a pain to work here?
“If you hate it, you can go. You’re an adult, no one’s stopping you.” I trot up the final flight of stairs. Vanessa glares at me when I say that, “Unless there really is something stopping you.”
“Yeah, it’s called rent payments.”
“If you’re head of security for the Mega Pizza-Plex, you have the qualifications for any other security field.” I make my way to Rockstar Row, Vanessa follows to keep the conversation going.
“Alright, then why do you want to work here?” Vanessa asks. That’s a question she’ll regret asking.
“Because!! It’s Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza! I loved that place as a kid!” My voice echoes across the hallway again, “Though, I only went to the Pizza Place, so sad to hear it burned down. But! They’re back!! And it’s a GIANT mall!?!”
Vanessa looks at me like I’m crazy but lets me continue rambling, “And- and!! I love the FNaF horror series-”
“You know that’s a-”
“Complete fabrication from the mind of a total lunatic? I know!! But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy them, right?” I turn to look at her.
“You’re… odd.”
“Why, thank you!” My reply is automatic, it’s not until the words are out of my mouth that I notice that wasn’t Vanessa’s voice.
It was actually Roxy! I guess my yelling has gathered an audience again. She looks down at me with a look similar to Vanessa’s, that crooked-eyebrow look of ‘are you insane?’
“That reminds me! Is everyone ready for a routine maintenance check?” I turn back around to face Roxy fully. Even peering behind her to check for the other band members. She heaves out a sigh and nods.
“We’ll all head down to maintenance in our elevators. You’ll have to find your way by yourself.” She taunts.
“You can take my elevator down, if you’d like.” Freddy quickly adds after Roxy, probably trying to keep her under wraps.
“Oh- Thank you! I’d definitely get lost on my own.” I walk past Freddy, to his room, but take a second to wave bye to Vanessa, “It was nice to meetcha! Have a good night!”
Vanessa waves hesitantly, I think, I couldn’t tell out of the coroner of my eye. Freddy ushers me to his elevator and pushes the button down.
“I hope you can forgive my friends, they aren’t fond of new staff sometimes.” Freddy says, he folds his hands together.
“Nah, it’s ok. I never take those kinds of insults personally.” I look up to Mr.Fazbear, he’s in shock for a moment but then smiles in a relieved manar.
“I’m glad you’re so patient.”
The elevator stops and opens, revealing a long hallway with orange accents. Freddy guides me to the end where an automatic door stands. It opens up immediately once Freddy gets into a certain range from it. Probably a special censor coded into the door to respond to him. Simple code, but very useful.
Parts and Service, the repair bay, two names for one room. A big circular room with a cylindrical glass chamber near the center. There’s old computer equipment, a desk stacked with paper, and multiple doors for the band members. I walk down the stairs and make a b-line to the desk. Sifting through the papers. There are character profiles, blue prints, accident report logs, a basic training guide, and a blank notepad. Oh- and a cold cup of coffee.
“Ok! Who wants to go first?” I ask, my back is still turned away from everyone as they file into the room.
“How about I go first? Just as a practice run.” Freddy offers. Well, he offers it, but he’s already walking into the glass cylinder and sitting in the giant chair.
“That’s fine by me!” I say and search the table for the ‘Freddy Folder’.
Setting up the computer for basic maintenance takes a hot second, but that’s just because the computer is ancient. I walk into the protective glass cylinder, folder in hand, and start slowly reading through the files.
“Oh- Superstar, you don’t need to be in here with me. The whole maintenance process is automated.” Freddy says gingerly, his ears wiggle in a weird way.
“Hm… nah,” I say in fake contemplation, “I wanna be here- Ok! Do I have everything? Am I forgetting something??”
I count through a mental list of possibly needed objects and ‘what if’ scenarios. I have my toolbox, I have the animatronic files, um… What if the power goes out? Are there any backup power sources?
“Are there any power generators around here? Where are they stored?” I ask and exit the cylinder.
Everyone around looks at me with confusion, but Chica still answers, “Well, yeah. They’re stored all over the place. I think there are even some in the hallway outside.”
I walk away and grab one without a word. It takes another second for me to drag it back to the repair bay and hook it up to the thing. But I haven't turned it on just yet. It’s just sitting in a far corner hooked up to a power socket on the glass cylinder.
“Ok, that should help. Um… what would mom say?? Well, she’d say something like ‘(Y/N)! What are you doing? You’re wearing baggy clothes, what if they get stuck on something?’” Oh- I didn’t think of that.
I take off my button-up. I was wearing it more like a jacket so it was easy to remove. Now, in just my jeans and fitted top, I enter the cylinder again. The computer starts the maintenance and repairs, but I stay in and watch the arms move and swivel around Freddy. I start reading through Freddy’s files and muttering to myself. Mostly nonsense, reading some sentences out loud, and random questions. The machine only takes a couple minutes before the computer announces its completion. I was in the middle of listing possible nick-names for Freddy, don’t know how I started talking about that.
“Oh! Awesome! Next person, please enter the cylinder!” I announce as Freddy walks out.
Chica walks up with a small bubble of excitement. I, again, searched for her folder on the table. It’s the same easy process of talking (rambling) to the air while the machine takes care of her. Chica had to stop the machine for a second, as there was something lodged in one of her joins that the machine couldn’t pick out. It was a piece of cardboard that got stuck in one of her spine bits. She lets out a flustered noise, but that was the only problem that required my involvement. Roxy has no problems whatsoever. I guess she is the best for a reason.
Monty was the last guy standing. He lets out a growl and stomps into the repair bay. I start the program and start my rambling, but Monty quickly tells me to shut up. I shrug it off, but then the lights in the room go out.
“Oh, I didn’t think the power would actually go out. This is why you need a back-up generator.” I say as I wander over to the far corner of the room.
It takes a few tugs on the generator to get it going, but it eventually roars to life. The lights in Parts n’ Service go back on a few seconds later. I walk back over to Monty and resume the maintenance. The whole room was silent, except for the wiring of the arms in the cylinder, odd considering how many robotic bodies are in here.
I peek up from the page I was reading, “Are you guys ok? If you’re worried about the power, the generator should keep it up. It’s a strong machine, assuming it’s a recent model.”
“That’s not what we’re worried about, chickpea.” Chica mutters quietly. Her eyes are locked on the big doors and windows.
“Is he here already?” Freddy asks.
Roxy is quick to respond, “I think it just entered the hallway. It’s moving slowly.”
“There’s a thing in the hallway?” I ask and walk over to check.
The place is covered in darkness, swathed in silence. While the light in Parts n’ Service leaked out into the halls outside through the windows, the light only stretched out so far. Looking, straining my eyes, I could barely see 2 dots in the darkness. They were muted, probably something far away, but also close to the ceiling. Is it something super tall? Is it attached to the ceiling?
“(Y/N), how about you resume working on Monty? We’ll keep you safe.” Freddy puts his hand on my shoulder and gently pulls me back into the room.
“No, I wanna see. I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m not scared.” I lift his hand away, and turn back to the doorway.
The dots are inches from me.

ROWAN DELACOUR.
They tried to make the story as short and simple as possible without traumatizing themselves all over again just by saying it all out loud. They live it every day. How much worse could it really get?
Monty was not killing her own kind for power. Bayden didn’t mean to insinuate that. But, it wasn’t hard to see with the limited clues where one might jump to such an idea. Monty was her own power, her own entity, her own monstrosity. She didn’t need to steal anyone else’s. Celeste inside Bayden’s body would learn that soon enough by her regular visits. Bayden’s one and only visitor, always.
That was where the conversation started to head butt. The real Celeste’s refusal to attempt acting. The real Bayden knew his life would be destroyed if she couldn’t pull it off. Simple as that. So it was time to start practicing for the Oscars. They’re in the Academy now like it or not. That’s how the real Bayden saw it because the real Bayden would sooner murder his body with her in it before he let her destroy his precious mother’s feelings for him. Those were the thoughts going through the real Bayden’s head. That’s exactly how fragile their friendship was right now. He wanted a friend bad but, it wasn’t worth his mother.
“You can’t make it better, Celestis…er…Bayden… whatever. I didn’t ask you to make it better. I asked you to not fuck it up. That’s all I ask of you. Don’t fuck up my life. I don’t give a shit what you think of it. It’s mine. Okay? It’s mine.”
Then the other suggested they run, they leave all this behind. They even suggest they’d be able to come back at any time. This was a complete turn around from where the new Bayden stood moments ago. The fake Bayden was being so contrary like nothing was possible and everything too hard to accomplish, so full of nonsensical plans. Now they were suddenly all in for the real Bayden to just up and leave, live, like they’d take care of everything. Don’t even worry about it. They got this.
The real Bayden stood there inside Rowan’s body and had to wonder why. Was their story that sad to create that big of a turn around in attitude? Was their life that pathetic? They supposed it was.
“I don’t know.” They said softly. “Two seconds ago you didn’t want to be me. Why are you being so nice all of a sudden? I hear Admiral Ackbar in my head warning me its a trap.”
Then the reality of their own doubts came out. “Annnnnd…. what if Mom’s right? What if my doctor’s right? I’m not ready for that. I can’t handle…. out there. I can’t handle the out there.”
Ah good ol’ Briarcliff brainwashing at work. It was still very fresh in their head whether they had a new body or not. Hello almost phobias and fears he never even had before his escape attempt and the big hotel incident. He’d even mention it.
“They won’t even recognize me at the hotel.” That’s all the further his head even dreamed of running anymore. He had no real dreams, just death wishes with the ghosts of the hotel. “I can’t really go out there.” They were already talking themselves out of it after getting all cocky with her about leaving earlier.
“I mean let’s get real here. What’s really going to happen is I’m going to have to go back to your house which is now my house, masturbate, go through your things, and wait for this body to recharge it’s guitar until we can switch back and hope my real life doesn’t get too fucked up in the meantime.”
IT was s h o r t but none of that was simple. Neither one of them had SIMPLE in t h e m. && they felt like they weren’t sure if they made things worse or better. Deep down they won’t know if Bayden will turn out like Rowan.
Disgusting. The same feeling they get when they see Rowan turning them into an instagram influencer. Or if they had to choose between Disney or Bayden’s sister . . . They both sound quite terrible && there not even sure which one to choose because both are horrendous. Worse? It’s not just sitting still && look’en pretty. They began to try to remember how many times his sister actually visited Bayden! Only thinking seemed to be the hardest thing in this body. It sometimes felt foggy, or that they had tar for brains. The drugs in Bayden’s system is something they where going to have to work with.
The plan is simple. DEPRESSED B a y d e n. Isolation. Isolation. Isolation. His level of MAMA b o y could be felt all the way to mars. It didn’t take magic to read && sense that from where they sat beside each other. Was it there goal to destroy his relationship with his mother? No. Not on purpose, but if his mother goes down some memory lane or Bayden wasn’t clear that they had a Norma Louise && Norman Bates relationship.
By all means KILL FIRST ask q u e s t i o n s l a t e r. Please. Can’t say they could pull that off. Porno’s are not the best guides on how-to’s. Bayden already rejected them twice. They don’t believe themselves enough that they could pull that one off sincerely with there inexperience. As Bayden they also had a load to work on. Examples: addressing his mom right. Mom? Mother? Mama? Ma? Dr.Wardeyn? Blanked out. More likely will ask them that question tomorrow. Along with learning the notes on his hippie guitar lifestyle - they feel that’s important as they have no idea how to play an instrument like that. Never heard him play it, but imagen’s Bayden plays the guitar at the pace of something like The Byrds - Turn Turn Turn guitar style.
Practice studying deer if they can, drawing deer && seeing it was possible to read about MOTHER && s o n relationship articles to try to understand what it means to even have that kind of relationship. Read a lot of Dr. Wardeyn’s articles. There are probably a lot of hints to help to keep up with things Bayden knows personally that might not cross there mind. Birthdays. Full names. Stuff they can’t think about right now but would come in handy later. 101 questions && they’ll ask them another time. It’s already stressful to move && get adjusted in Bayden’s body.
Celestis? What a dumb name. Wait. ??!! Was that there name?! They felt rusty hinges screeching like an animal in pain, echoing through them a painful headache. Raising there hands as if this was a ceasefire. Anything they would have said would have them upset. A lot has been said. Along with a lot has been done. Both emotionally adjusting into the other’s body. There friendship right now, was more like a barn blazing inferno with flames stretching well above its crumbling roof. There’s a chance it could become a wildfire. Careful not to turn it into one. “Fine.”
“Let’s just say the money lasts you three weeks ROWAN.” Seeing it in a bigger picture.
“It only means the d e m o n s in the backyard are put on a tight leash.” With a closed fist held with the thumb extended they’d point over there shoulder behind them. Obviously indicating the deformed creatures they saw that got them in this trouble in the first place.
“I doubt my mother would have the TIME of d a y to really visit or notice with how she’d have to stay busy handling things.” Ewe. Kind of foreign && gross saying it like that but if they were going formal better start now? Maybe correct them on the title of address to his mother.
Publicity was publicity && obviously a stunt like this would be a first ever written journalized of an escapee. Since they were recently involved in being questioned by the police. Which would make more opportunity for funding from the city. Benefitting political powers like the Mayor keeping dangers like Rowan off the streets of there town && small-minded Hollywood somebodies fund mental health issues because that’s just so kind of themselves! With Dr. Wardeyn being a single mom of two. With her history rep. in the medical work force rich idiots love a strong-willed mother making the world a better place for there own kids.
With so much going on && the cops involved the visitations from Monty would be called off whilst being investigated && questioned again about knowing Rowan’s whereabouts. They already knew that they never really thought they were real anyway play-by-play. Might as well still use that to there own advantage as Bayden. They didn’t think they had to explain it any further than that.
“It’s not uncommon of yourself to RUN. I think you’re the only person who can pull it off R o w a n.” Because they already have pulled it off && then came back. They’d know they get stuck here a million more light years . . . That kind of stunt would really put them at a disadvantage of getting out to find the real Rowan. But it would make big waves && it would keep what Bayden wanted. His life the way he wanted it.
Not even sure anymore if finding the real Rowan was worth it. Was it? After tonight there was a lot to process, but one of them was: What now? The idea sent painful shivers through there body. There soul purpose was to swap back with Rowan, now it felt like Bayden but in all honesty? No where to go. Maybe they just didn’t know what they wanted to live for either. Putting it in the back of there mind for now as they had all night to think about it.
But with them being away. They just take on being DEPRESSED B a y d e n. Stay in between the lines, but not get caught being the fake. 7 days. 14 days. Or just 21 days.
Brush everyone off except Clarissa. Being alone isolated would also help them figure out how to fix all this. The meds where in the way to swap them back. Regardless of if Dr.Unger got her in through a favor or Dr. Wardeyn naturally selected the challenge of having her admitted.
It wouldn’t surprise them now that Bayden’s dropped what this place really was. Dr. Wardeyn would have a plan already set up for when they actually ran away.
“If anyone could pull it OFF. I’m afraid it would be y o u.” A tint of envy in there vocals. Annoyed by the fact they had to actually admit that out loud, but the real Bayden themselves knew this place a lot more than they did. Of course they felt bad for Bayden. The realization of his timeline. He did what he did to leave && then all that he had done turns up he did it for nothing some what pissed them off. Not that they will ever say it. It sucks to care. They should have learned there lesson the first time with the actual Rowan. Caring for someone always ended in betrayal.
“Yea. Well knowing me is a trap. I trapped you in a different body. Where was Admiral Ackbar when that happened!”
What. In. The. Fuck?
Taking one giant inhale only to hold it in what they wanted to say. They can touch back later. FUN f a c t: Bayden talked about all these things he couldn’t do. There was so much to the world then just Hotel Cortez. That place was toxic for Bayden, but they had no room to talk because Texas was toxic to themselves.
Bayden reminded them of a cross of Snow White && that other Disney Princess. What was that one Princess with mommy issues? Don’t remember the name but there’s not anything special about her or anything that stands out in her personality, the really bland one? Snow White && the really bland one with super long blond hair. It drew blanks because half the time they all annoyed her. There’s not enough support to unravel that kind of damage in him immediately.
“Guess we both have one thing were both thinking tonight.” Somewhat sarcastic as there was scoff of amusement. Honestly once Nurse Janet GOES a w a y. Far. Far away. Ain’t want nothing to do with all that. Pretty sure there hypothesis as masturbating as a guy is much easier than when she is a girl.
They kept all the sketchbooks of Bayden. Along with some of his clothes - the ones they keenly noticed they wore a lot more than the others. Kept a few other minor things like the Valentine cards, some of the corona airplane letters, what ever they could get there hands on that seemed important to them.
“You’re stuff is in the closet piled in the very back corner.”
“Oh, && a chocolate bar in the desk is for you. It’s painted white with cross bones on it. You can’t miss it.” Obviously, they had to cover the wrapper && drew over the logo. They wouldn’t actually know how to explain the logo on the chocolate bar. The brand just doesn’t exist within this reality as they used Rowan’s ability to read it out of a book. Found it a little hard to explain how they got a Wonka Bar. But it was a pretty nice idea for a welcome back gift that failed in it’s own way.
“Take you’re damn food too! Can’t stand cold food. I can’t recall the statistics of starvation but I know it’s bad!” Just trying to take a step back from the obvious problems in front of them. Tonight was over to them. They didn’t want to think about anything anymore. They were going to have so much to think about tonight that where going to make themselves go insane.

Texas Heat
Alpha!Tommy x omega!Reader (AFAB). When you find yourself trapped within the Hewitt family’s web of murder, violence and pain, the last thing you expect to do is fall in love.
Part One / Part Two / Part Three
~
The Texas sun beats mercilessly down on the back of your neck, the air thick and slow as dark molasses. You tied your sweater around your waist, but even that was too much for your sweating skin, so now it just hangs limply from your fingers.
You manage to hitch a lift from a family of three on a cross-state road trip – the parents were both betas, the little girl in the back unpresented. You tell them you’re heading back to college from visiting your family, that your car packed up some three miles back. You also tell them you’re a beta. Two truths and a lie.
They pull into a small gas station in Travis County called Cele Community Centre to fill up, while you step inside the sore to ask to use the phone. A middle-aged woman with cats-eye spectacles stands behind the counter, a couple of leather-clad bikers sitting at a table littered with beer bottles.
The phone’s busted, but when you explain about your car, she offers a different option. Her brother’s got a tow truck – he could go pick up your car and bring it back for repair. It’s too good an offer to refuse, so you wave goodbye to the beta family and take a seat in the diner. The woman – Luda May Hewitt, she introduces herself – gives you a soda on the house and asks you about yourself. You tell her about your parents, your brother in the army, your little sister about to graduate high school. By the time her brother arrives – a unkempt, bespectacled man she calls Monty – you feel as though you’ve been talking to a matronly aunt for the past hour. She’s kind, with good old-fashioned Southern values, and so when she asks if you’d like to join them for supper, you accept. Monty says your car needs a new valve or something, which he has back at the homestead, so you hop in the cab of his truck next to Luda May.
The Hewitt family home is a large farmhouse, with sprawling fields surrounding and a dilapidated garage. Monty parks up in the front yard and disappears, presumably to find the missing piece for your car. You shoulder your bag and follow Luda May inside the house. It’s not particularly clean, but your mother raised you to be polite, so you accept some sweet tea and some homemade biscuits.
Shortly, another man appears in the kitchen – this one younger and more well-presented than Monty - who introduces himself as Sheriff Hoyt. A rough, brutish scent of alpha pheromones follows him through the door, but you know by instinct its not from him.
“Tommy,” he says, glancing over his shoulder at a hulking figure beyond the doorway. “Come say hello to our guest.”
The person who steps into the room has to be the largest man you’ve never seen. Not only is he tall – at least six and a half feet – but he’s also broad; wide shoulders, muscular arms, and a chest like a barrel. Despite the suppressants you’ve been careful to keep concealed in your bag, your glands tingle pleasantly as his scent washes over you. Your nose recognises earth, leather and sweat, but your finer-tuned olfactory senses catch hints of sandalwood, charcoal, and the unmistakable metallic tang of blood. You contribute this to the butcher’s apron he’s wearing tied around his thick waist – the dark brown stains a clear indication of animal slaughter. While this doesn’t exactly strike you as comforting, you can’t deny his scent is . . . appealing.
You focus on his face for just a moment, not wanting to stare. His dark hair is long and wavy, most of his face concealed beneath a crude leather mask, revealing only his eyes, forehead and a small glimpse of chapped lips. The space where his nose would be beneath the mask is strangely flat, leading you to suspect some kind of physical deformity. His shadowed eyes catch yours and you look away in embarrassment.
“This here’s Thomas, my boy,” Luda May says. “Tommy, meet Y/N.”
“Hey,” you rise to your feet and hold out a hand. Even at your full height, you barely come up to his chest. “Nice to meet you, Thomas.”
He doesn’t speak or move to shake your hand, but his right-hand fingers flex at his side, so you can tell he wants to. Moreover, you can smell it on him. The pheromones he’s giving off betray his interest, and your face flushes at the thought that such an impressive alpha’s attention is directed at you. Eventually, you lower your hand and return to your seat, taking a sip of tea to hide your awkwardness.
“So,” Hoyt says, sitting down opposite you and placing his hat on the table. “Y/N, what are you?”
You know what he’s trying to say, even if the question comes across as a little rude.
“I’m a beta, sir,” you say.
“Seems the whole dang state’s beta these days,” he says, leaning back and accepting a glass of tea from Luda May. “Tommy’s pretty much the only alpha ‘round these parts, and as for omegas, forget it.”
Praying that your suppressants are doing their job, you nod along with his words and try not to focus on Thomas, who’s still standing like a full-door draft excluder in the corridor. You wonder if his senses are strong enough to tell that you’re lying. Surely if they were, he’d say something, wouldn’t he? Such a big strong alpha like him, wouldn’t be able to help himself.
Big strong alpha . . .
The thought makes you shiver slightly, and you notice Thomas shift where he stands. Covering your neck as casually as you can with one hand, you pretend to be intently interested in what Hoyt is saying. As he’s illustrating the hardships of being the county’s only sheriff, Monty appears, wiping his hands on a dirty rag.
“Well, hope you didn’t have nowhere to be anytime soon, ‘cause that tin can sure ain’t going without a new carburetor.”
Your heart sinks – the car was a gift from your parents when you got into UT, and you’d taken good care of it since. How had it sustained so much damage without you realising?
“D’you know where I can get a new one?”
He blows his cheeks out. “Nowhere ‘round here. Next town, maybe; ‘bout twenty miles north.”
You mentally count the small handful of notes folded in your wallet – your mom had given you $50 to get back to college, enough for fuel and food along the way, plus extra to stay in a motel. Certainly not enough for such a hefty repair.
“Course,” Hoyt says, a strange smile playing at the corner of his lips, “Uncle Monty’d be more’n happy to drive through for one tomorrow, wouldn’t ya, Monty?”
Monty nods slowly. “Be my pleasure.”
A strange tension has fallen over the small room, setting the hairs on the back of your neck a-prickle. Hoyt’s eyes are burning into you with a fierce intensity, almost . . . hunger, Monty bearing a smile, too leery to be comforting. You’re wondering if you’ve made a mistake in coming here, when Thomas moves from the shadows, his scent passing over you. Your shoulders drop a little, his presence proving an inexplicable reassurance to you. You know it’s your hormones talking; with such an alpha nearby, you’re safe. It takes a nudge from the logical side of your brain to remind you that biology is not fact, and you could be very, very far from safe with these people.
You clear your throat, mouth suddenly dry.
“Well, that’s awful kind of you. Is there, um . . . a motel or something I could stay at tonight?”
“Motel?” Luda May laughs. “Don’t be so silly, honey – you’ll stay here.”
You turn to look at her, her warm, motherly gaze refilling some of the certainly draining from you. Maybe you’re just being paranoid. After all, you’re a young woman – an omega, no less – so it’s no wonder that Hoyt and Monty might act strangely around you, whether they realise it or not. As for Thomas, well . . .
“I don’t want to be a bother, ma’am.”
“Oh hush, you’re no bother at all, and call me Luda.” She takes an old apron from a hook on the wall and nods towards the door. “Tommy’ll show you to the spare room and then you can help me start dinner.”
Thomas looks as surprised by the idea of being alone with you as you are, his gargantuan posture stiffening. His eyes flit from Luda May to you, unsure of what to do.
“Go on, boy, m’sure she don’t bite,” Hoyt chuckles.
But does he? Your mind races as you lift your bag and follow Thomas from the kitchen. His heavy footsteps make the floorboards shake as he ascends the stairs, decidedly not looking anywhere in your direction. The room he takes you to is small, barely more than a box room, with a narrow cot bed, a chest of drawers, and a dirty sink built into the wall. The white ceramic has been long since hidden beneath a layer of brown grime, and the light from the window is filtered through what looks like years of dirt.
You turn your head to thank Thomas, but the words die on your tongue when you see how close he is. His chest is heaving, and you suspect he’s . . . smelling you. Shit. You remember the mace your mom forced you to take with you, stowed safely away at the bottom of your pack. There’s no way you could get to it before he could grab you. He’s so big – his hands could easily encompass your entire head – you’re sure he could do irreparable damage without breaking so much as a sweat. His eyes – how had you not noticed how blue they are? – are fixed on you, all trace of shyness gone. You raise a hand – to do what, you’ve no idea – and stifle a shriek when he takes hold of your arm with surprising agility. Your blood stills as he lifts your wrist to his face, the air whistling through his nostrils beneath the mask as he breathes in your scent. He must know – there’s no way he can’t. He must either be the strongest alpha you’ve ever encountered, or on the brink of his rut, to detect your omega scent through your suppressants. Or both.
Part of you wants to run, to scream for help, but you can’t; your legs won’t move.
“Please . . .” you whisper, though you’re not entirely sure what you’re pleading for. Your eyes meet for one long, electrifying moment.
“Tommy, get down here! We got trespassers!”
Thomas drops your hand like it’s scalding hot, disappearing from the room and down the stairs after Hoyt’s harsh commands. You stand rooted to the spot, your heart beating a brand against your ribcage, and the bed creaks ominously beneath you as you drop down onto it. Fishing in your bag, you pull out the thin blister pack of pills, swallowing one dry. You have enough to get you safely back to Austin – you’ll just have to hope your stay here is a short one.

Silent Bloom
Parings: Finn Collins/reader Bellamy Blake/reader
Warnings: None
Chapter: 2.01
"Ok, tell me again."
You groaned into your hands. You had explained everything that had happened, from the mountain men chasing you to Ada letting you go countless times that morning. Blinking against the sun shining in your eyes, you let out a deep sigh. "I can’t. I’m sorry, but I’ve gone over it so many times the details are starting to become fuzzy."
Clarke gave you an uncertain look before leaning back in her chair. You yawned into your hand and fought against the urge to close your eyes. The lack of sleep was starting to catch up with you.
Bellamy cleared his throat, which helped ease the growing awkwardness. "Tell us again what the plan is."
"It's a labyrinth. We got to the dam through this tunnel. It's all connected to the mine system. That's our way in."
Bellamy looked skeptical. "Are you sure we can get past the reapers and the..." He paused as his eyes lingered on you before continuing, "mountain men? I swear to God if your mom doesn’t sanction the mission, I’m going by myself."
"You won't be by yourself," Clarke confirmed.
Your jaw opened slightly as you noticed Finn walking towards your table. Gulping, you did your best not to make eye contact with him. "Guess the inquisitions are over," Bellamy said, giving you a sympathetic look. "How's Finn doing anyway?"
You shrugged. "I haven’t spoken to him since...since I came back."
"Hey," Finn said softly.
You continued staring at the table in front of you while Finn made small talk with Bellamy, and Clarke. You were afraid to look at him. The Finn Collins who did this wasn’t the same boy you grew up with. He wasn’t your best friend, or lover. The person standing next to you was a stranger. A murderer.
"Next round on me," Bellamy said as he stood up to leave the table. He squeezed your shoulder as he walked behind you.
Finn sat down across from you. "Mount weather, what’s the plan?"
"Still working on it."
Glancing at the blonde beside you, it finally sank in how Finn’s actions had affected everyone. Clarke had lost one of the few friends she had, and you couldn’t even imagine what this was doing to Raven. You stood up from your chair and finally made eye contact with Finn. Staring into his brown eyes hurt. He looked so lost and confused, but it still didn’t change what happened. "Excuse me, I need to get some fresh air."
—
"You look lonely out here."
You frowned instantly upon hearing his voice. You weren’t in the mood. "What do you want, Murphy?"
Murphy placed his hands on his chest, pretending to be hurt, before sitting down on the ground next to you. "Not interested in our hero’s gathering either?"
"I came outside because I needed some air."
Murphy made a scoffing noise, "I thought you would have been the council's new shiny toy. I’d heard you’d escaped grounders and our good friends from the mountain."
"And I heard Bellamy almost beat you to death again for trying to hang him."
You noticed Murphy toying with his fingers. "Yeah yeah, the same old Murphy that everyone hates."
"I don’t hate you." You looked at him, confused, as he shook his head, and scoffed. Did Murphy think you were mocking him? Despite everything that he’s done, you didn’t hate him.
"What, do you think I’m lying?"
"You kicked me down a ladder."
"In all fairness, you had it coming." Murphy nudged your shoulder as you both laughed until you saw the others getting ready to leave. "Can I ask you something? Would you have done it?"
Murphy let out a sigh, before answering. Even without saying the actual words, he knew what you meant. "I tried to stop him...I’ve done similar things to survive."
"No, no you haven’t. We’ve all done things we aren’t proud of, but nothing... eighteen people are dead. I always thought I’d do anything to protect my friends, but after this, I’m honestly not so sure."
"He didn’t do that because he was looking for a friend. Finn did it because he’s in love with you."
As you opened your mouth to reply, Octavia’s voice cut you off. "We are getting ready to leave."
"Try to stay out of trouble, Murphy," you said as you nodded and stood up to join her.
"Right back at ya, Daze."
You walked beside Octavia in silence until you approached the rest of the group. The first thing you noticed was Abby shaking her head. "No, absolutely not. I’m sorry Y/N, but you can’t come with us?"
"Why?"
"Because..." her eyes moved to the side where Finn was standing.
"I’ll be a distraction."
The older woman nodded, "there are plenty of ways you can help in camp."
You rolled your eyes. Abby’s tone was patronising but you decided not to think much about it. You hugged Octavia. "Watch what you're doing out there, okay? I need you to come back in one piece."
She chuckled softly, "I always do."
You stepped back to let her pass and felt somebody squeezing your shoulder gently. Spinning round, you smiled, seeing Bellamy staring at you. He looked worried. "You’re not coming?"
"This is one party I’m not invited to."
"Voluntarily?" You didn’t expect to hear the harshness in Bellamy’s voice as he spoke.
"Abby has a point," you said quietly. Something seemed off. Bellamy was more intense than usual. Placing your hand on his, you sighed. "It’s probably for the best that I sit this one out."
You looked back to hear Clarke calling his name. "You need to go. Just…"
He chuckled, "I’ll keep them safe."
You smiled softly before letting his hand go. You watched the small group walk away while finding it hard not to worry.
—
"Hey."
You jumped when you heard somebody talking, dropping the pen and paper that were in your hand. "Jesus Finn, you scared me!"
"Sorry...I’ll leave you to it."
"No, I’m sorry." You sighed, "I just got a fright because I didn’t hear you come in. When did you guys come back?"
"About an hour ago, I was surprised I didn’t see you."
"I’ve been in here doing the food inventory. Is anybody hurt?"
"One of the guards died, but other than that, no," Finn said, leaning against the wall, his head bowed. "We almost got caught by acid fog but everyone managed to hide."
"Then what happened to the guard?" You asked.
"Lincoln killed him. He has been turned into a reaper. The mountain men turned him into one of them."
You stared at Finn's mouth agape while trying to process the information. If mountain men were able to turn Lincoln into a reaper, you dread to think what could be happening to Monty and Jasper. "God, I need to go find Octavia."
"Daisy, can you wait? We need to talk."
A wave of guilt washed over you. "I know we do, but Octavia-"
"O will need me," you said, frowning when Finn cut you off.
"She has Clarke and Bellamy with her."
You picked up the pen and paper you dropped previously in silence. You didn’t know how to talk to him anymore.
"You can’t stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?"
"I’m a monster you're afraid of."
"I don’t think you’re a monster, you just made a really bad judgment call."
The haunted look on his face sent a chill down your spine. "I thought they had you, and everybody else. When I saw Clarke’s father's watch, something just snapped inside me. I can’t explain it."
You look down at the ground, not knowing what to say. You couldn’t imagine the guilt that must have been eating away at him.
"Do you think we can ever get it back? What did we have before?"
Tears threatened to spill from your eyes. "I..I don’t know. So many things have happened, and I hope we can be friends again, but it will take time."
"What I did in the village was wrong, but at the time I thought it was the right thing."
"It's not just about the village..." you couldn't stop crying as your voice broke."You chose her over me."
"Daze…"
"No, don’t keep cutting me off. Do you know how hard it was watching you with somebody else? Especially when you spent the night before with me? I was heartbroken Finn but I kept it together the best I could. You made your choice. You chose Raven over me and expect me to act like nothing happened."
"It wasn’t like that Daisy. Raven means so much to me, I didn’t want to hurt her."
His words stung the same way being physically hurt would. Finn had a big heart, and regardless of how much he cared, you’d always be second best, and you couldn’t settle for it anymore. Hearing footsteps getting closer, you did your best to compose your emotions.
"I need to hand this in, and check on Octavia." You sighed, looking at him, "You still mean a lot to me, Finn. I’ve never stopped caring about you. We just need to take it slow with rebuilding our friendship again."
"Baby steps?"
You chuckled, "baby steps are fine with me."
