Its the end of the world. No like, seriously. The apocalypse happened, partially due to wars and the chemical warfare that came with it as well as nuclear waste being unsafely deposited. Plants mutated and vegatables became inedible and since only a small portion of society ate meat anymore, there was little to no livestock to live from. The people that didnt die in the wars and its aftereffects died later, in the theoretical sense. You see, among the mutated plants were ones that were actually edible, something people realized after the person didnt drop dead from eating it even hours later. So, grateful they found actual food they could eat, people started eating the plants. One problem though, it was a poisonous plant. The reason no one noticed was because the effects were slow, and by that time it was too late already. Many died, but instead of the traditional way where they actually.. you know, wouldnt move anymore, the dead soon got up again, some in a manner of minutes and some in a matter of weeks. The brain function of many had been severely affected, leaving them with their brainstem intact and sometimes other parts of the brain. Essentially, they became zombies with the occasional flashes of thought, feelings or the ability to speak. No one was actually spared, once the first undead was a fact, many followed. The ones who abstained from the plant either died of starvation or would have to start eating it again. Of course there were some who ate meat, but that didnt do much to deter the plant. The seeds of the plant that the birds pooped back out were much more potent than the plant itself, and ingesting it in any way was guaranteed death. There was a discrepancy between the undead though. Some could still clearly think and do the things they used to do, though they were much slower and less smart. The plant affected everyone differently it seemed: some would turn into almost braindead beings, stumbling about and eating whatever they could find to stay alive while the others would only lose the qualities they had, rendering them less smart and slower. Make no mistake though, everyone had affected brains, it was just a difference in severity. Your character is one of those who still remained most of their brain function, as are their friends. They have nothing left there, the belongings they once so desired now trivial, the food useless. So, with literally nothing to do, your character and their friends set out on an adventure. Luckily some of them still have the knowledge of how to drive which means they can get around quicker. So now, undead and with no specific purpose, your character and their friends set out on an adventure, their only purpose: have fun.

Your character is on the police force and wants to make it to detective. Which, frankly, shouldnt be as hard as it is. Well, it wouldnt be this hard if the ghost of a very successful senior detective would just stop badgering them with unwanted advice. Now they have to go to work and do their job, all the while trying to ignore the pieces of advice that they didnt ask for.

There is a new circus in town, and with that comes a magician. Your character, the child of a detective thats on the edge of retiring, goes with their father just because they feel like going. They have a great time as they eat candy and laugh, and before they know it they have to go home again. However, the next day the lady who was the partner of the magician is found dead, cut in half like in the magicians act. Now obviously everyone is questioned, but no one actual leads are found and soon enough, the people go on with their days and the memory of the murder fades. Until the next time the circus comes by. The day after the circus comes by another helper is found dead, this time their head is chopped off in the way the magician pretended to do. Again, the magician is a suspect but nothing ever comes from it. The next time the circus comes, the same happens, though this time there are two people dead instead of one. Their father is put on the case and uses them as a sounding board for his thoughts, but the more they hear about the case the more suspicious they get. After all, its very convenient that the murders happen the day after the magicians act. So, unconvinced its them, they grab their laptop and search until the early hours of the morning for any similair cases, and they find what they were looking for. They found more than a dozen similair cases, each time the day after a circus ended up there. They present this to their father, who is annoyed by their findings but also doubting if the magician is actually the killer now. However after releasing the magician, the next day another murder happens, this time on a local woman. The magician is found sitting in her backyard, hands covered in her blood and unconscious. The magician is put in a cell again as their father investigates, but still, they arent convinced its truly the magician. After all, why wouldnt they have escaped if it was them? So they, against their fathers warnings, start up their own investigation, and soon find themselves in a confusing web of lies, deceit, hate, faked deaths and murder. Will they be able to prove the magicians innocence and find the real killer, or will they become a puppet in the magicians game?

Your character is a news reporter for a small local network, not very well known by anyone but loved and enjoyed by those who do know. They have obviously been reporting about all kinds of things, but lately they have been reporting more murders than ever before. Where it used to be one or two every few years, now its already been 5 within 6 months, and they started to notice it too. Just for the sake of it they start researching the details in the news paper during a short power outage. The power works again soon enough and they abandon the research they did, putting all the information in a desk drawer somewhere. However, things arent the same after that. The murders start ramping up, two in the first week that passes, then suddenly 5 in the following week. They arent all locals either, some of them are completely unknown faces to everyone. That isnt where it stops though, the killer starts leaving deliberate messages on the crime scenes: first something small, then something thats almost a replica of an object they have and finally, a request for them specifically. They dont know this when they go to the police station, telling the chief that the object at the scene looks very much like something they own. The chief doesnt share the message with them, he only gives some reassurances and then lets them go on with their day. However, the more the police ignores the message, the more violent the murders get, each time with the same exact message. Thats when the mysterious flowers start showing up when they get home. Obviously they are suspicious, but despite the odd combination of them the flowers are just that: flowers. They put some at their desk at work as well, enjoying the little bit of colour it gives. That is until a photograph gets leaked from one of the crime scenes, the message clearly visible in it. Suddenly, people start looking at them strange, as if they have something to hide. It gets even worse when the killer leaves an exact copy of the flowers that have been appearing at their door for weeks at yet another crime scene. Not everyone makes the connection, but enough people do since the flowers had been displayed on their desk during news reports. All of a sudden, people start avoiding them and they start getting strange looks, coworkers dont want to socialize after work anymore and even their parents have told them they "cancelled" the dinner they have together every month, it was as if they had become a token of bad luck everyone tried their best to avoid. Then one night the phonecalls started. It was the killer, however the first few times they called the cops the killer had hung up on them mere seconds before the police entered their home, furthering their annoyance and suspicion of them. At some point, they stopped calling the police, knowing the outcome if they did. So, having had a crappy day at work they pick up the phone and ask the killer why them? Though they dont get an anwser, they have a short conversation before they hang up and go to bed. It doesnt stop though, every single night around the same time the killer calls, and slowly it moves from short conversations with clipped anwsers to actual long conversations. What happens when the only positive thing in their life becomes that one phone call late at night? Will they put a stop to it, knowing its not right, or will they continue, with the knowledge they might end up becoming a suspect?

Your character is a professional dancer. The apocalypse has happened, however it isnt what most people wouldve thought. Humans slowly die from radiation exposure due to barrels having small leaks, which is because of violent earthquakes. The animals have become feral, not showing much more than agression. One bite from these animals will cause excruciating pain. Your character has been on the run with their sick grandmother until theyve run into a dead end, several animals behind them and trapping them. Remember how your character was a professional dancer? Yeah well, no one ever said you couldnt kill while doing a pirouette.

The princess of a kingdom, first in line for the throne, has spent most of her life trying to prove she would be a good queen, ever since she could understand she would be queen one day actually. Well, that dream gets popped like a balloon one day when her father tells her it wont be her, but her arrogant and selfish 12 year old brother who will take over. On top of that, to prepare her brother, he will take over her bedroom as it was bigger (only slightly) and she had to spent less time outside with the people, as it would "endanger her brothers rule." She tried to sit it out, she really did, but after several ridiculous punishments she decides to run away, as far as she possibly can, anger and hate being her only two companions. She travelled several villages, cities and towns in the time since then, making her money by telling stories and helping families. Shes much calmer after she eventually settled down in a small town, becoming well known and loved in the community. She even made the decision to go back home, to see how her father and brother were doing after 15 years. However when she gets there, the only thing that happens is that she gets unceremoniously kicked out. Confused and hurt she asks around town, to the few locals who havent been scared into silence. What she finds out is terrible: her father has been thrown in jail the second her brother became king and many locals have either been killed or thrown in jail as well. She doesnt like it but she asks to meet him and asks him to stop, which leads to nothing but being banned from the kingdom and a lot of cuts and bruises. Now, angry and humiliated and hurt from all those years ago, she decides enough is enough as she sees a child being taken away on the street for throwing a pebble against a pole. Gathering up whoever is prepared to fight, she has to face down her brother and hopefully make it out alive.

Your character has never had good luck, whether this was about winning prizes or something as simple as not getting pooped on by a bird flying over their head. Everyone knows this, including their classmates, causing people to avoid them like they have the plague. They do however have one or two good friends, who have helped them through some tough times. They arent special, they just go to school, sit in class, do some homework, do some chores and then they go to bed. That doesnt particularly change, though what does change is that one of the boys that was nice to them suddenly turns up dead in the middle of a schoolday, with no apparent evidence or clues as to who did it or why. They are warned to stay away and that part of the school is sealed off, but now no one can go home either because the killer may still be in the building. Your character just wants to go home, so they have the idea that they can search for some clues as to who did it. Their friends are reluctant, but after a few hours of waiting in a classroom they give in. They start searching sneakily in the hopes of not getting caught, but the deeper they investigate, the more they realize all the teenagers here have much deeper secrets than they couldve imagined. Not only that, but they still have extremely bad luck, so will they be able to solve the crime without getting caught, or will their bad luck cause it to go bad?

Your character is pretty much broke, but luckily they managed to secure themselves a job as a taxi driver. Most weekdays are slow, but there are some regulars they drive around, coming to know them and their jobs with how much they drive them around. Which is all well and nice of course, until they get to a destination and their customer is dead, the only evidence of any foul play being the two puncture marks in their neck. They are obviously freaked out but pay it no further mind. Turns out, the person that got killed was one of the most powerful banshee's in their country and now they have become a suspect in the murder. The other people they have as regulars, apparently also supernatural beings, vouche for your character, though it doesnt appear many believe them. It all gets much worse when one of their regulars, a ghost if they understood them correctly, is in their car when they notice they are being followed. Feeling guilty they are about to apologize to them for getting them into this mess when they tell them its actually them they are after. It all gets much more complicated when not long after, the creatures hunting them join the chase too. Will they be able to survive this harrowing pursuit, or will they lose their freedom, and perhaps even their lives?

Your character has finally finished high school, and guess what? They passed! They are very happy and excited and their friends and them want to do something for this special occasion. For the ones that hadnt passed its more like a consolidation prize: they may not have passed, but they still get a vacation for the effort they put in. After weeks of searching and disagreements they finally find common ground: a beautiful small island with a population of several hundred people, a lush forest and seemingly nice hotels and houses. They book the trip, wave goodbye to their parents and head over to the island. To get there though they had to make a stop on the african mainland and then fly over with a small, privately owned plane, which everyone thought was kind of weird but accepted nonetheless. Once there its everything they imagined and more: kind people, beautiful accomodations, a vast forest and a beautiful beach close to where they were staying. One thing was kind of off though: despite the kindness of the people, they all behaved a bit strange, as if they werent actually happy to see them there. Brushing this and the scared looks the people gave them aside as them not wanting their island polluted by tourists, they decide to get over the jetlag before starting to explore. However, the longer the vacation takes, the stranger things get. The strangest happens on the day they have to get home, as there is no plane. Its there they find out the truth from the local they were avoiding all this time: this island doesnt exist, at least not on any maps. No one has an idea of where they were and all attempts to escape have been futile. Will the friendgroup back off and live out the rest of their lives on this island that never seems to run out of supplies, or will they do everything they can to find their way back home?

Its been fifty years and people are more advanced now, or at least so they think. Technology is used more, robots help inside the house, artificial foods help the problem of food shortages due to the fluctuating weather. However one problem no one has been able to figure out is the water shortage. Every year, there is less drinkable water no matter what the government does and every year more people are born. In a desperate attempt to battle this water shortage a scientist, with under the table support from the highest government officials, gathers a group of pregnant women, ranging in how far along they are, and children as young as a few hours to 4 years of age. Experiments are run on every single one of them, to try and figure out a way to create a human that doesnt need fluids to survive. The deaths are covered up and the babies born without this ability are left behind on the steps of hospitals. Several subjects manage to survive until their teens, still undergoing painful experiments everyday. However, the teens still arent perfect, so they get dropped on the street with a bit of money and thats it. A year or two go by before one of the teens finds out the scientist has made a huge discovery, and sneaking in they make the discovery the scientist has finally succeeded, or at least it looks like it. The teen, desperate to stop the scientist before the unborn child has to undergo the same treatment as them, tries to break all the things involved in the experiments, which they manage to do before being thrown out. Now that they bought themselves some time, they set out on a mission to find the teens they were dropped with, to see if they want to help, and to stop the scientist before its too late.

Its been a decade since the worst ecological disaster happened in a few million years. This disaster led to a lot of the natural resources being depleted and caused many animals to starve or die. Now after things have become a little more stable, the government sets out to secretly drill into the arctic ice, as there are supposedly natural resources in abundance there. They werent wrong, there are natural resources there, what they didnt count on however was that basically everything is frozen there, including ancient things. And well, instead of drilling down in one straight line to preserve the ice, they decide to melt great portions of snow and ice at a time to get to the bottom, so they have a bigger area to work with. The issue? Well, in the ice they were melting was a prehistoric virus, one of many, which killed half the team tasked with the drilling within a week. The remaining members panicked, left everything behind and tried to make their way home. Several died on the way, though some did make it to the airport and headed home. The problem here was that in their panic, they didnt clean any of their equipment or clothes, so they brought the virus back to their own countries. Now, country after country is being subjected to a prehistoric virus that has no mercy on anyone, and its up to your character and their team to find a cure of somekind before their protective suits fail and they succumb to it as well.

From one day to the next, animals start dissapearing, and not in the 'going extinct' sense, no in the sense that they just up and vanish. A local vet notices that they start getting less customers and while at first its a positive thing, no one wants to go to a vet if they dont have to, things start to get worrying when their friend who works at a petshop mentions very little people are coming by anymore. The vet starts getting concerned, but they dont have enough information to go to the police yet, so they wait it out to see where things go. At least, until they wake up one day and their parakeet and cat are just gone, as if they had never been there in the first place. Concerned and scared they head to the police station to report their pets missing and the strange happenings around town, however they get told theres not much they can do. The vet tells their petshop friend and together, they try and find out what the hell is going on and why animals are dissapearing without a trace

Instead of studying for their exams, your character has started procrastinating. However unlike the normal procrastinating that happens by reading a book, scrolling on your phone, doing chores and such things, your character has gone and got themselves in a pickle. They started researching myths and cold cases and other supernatural things their parents would probably disown them for. Instead of studying they spent hours on end researching everything, but they forgot one thing: with knowledge comes power. Whatever seperated the humans from the supernatural has now vanished, leaving your character to seriously doubt their own sanity. Soon, theyre confronted by the fact that they procrastinated so badly they found out about the supernatural creatures trying to live among humans. It proves to be a pretty difficult point to explain to anyone, supernatural and human alike.
