“Who’s this mama?”

Allison turns to see the context of her daughter’s question and immediately her stomach drops. In her eldest's hands was a photo that Allison and Molly had taken years ago. A sudden wave of sadness, nostalgia, and bittersweet happiness washes over her as she forms a melancholy smile.

“Oh, that? That’s an old friend of mine. Molly. Molly Ragno.”

“She’s gorgeous!” Allison couldn’t help but chuckle in agreement at her daughter's admiration. Well, she wasn’t wrong. “What happened to her?”

Ah. There it was.

Her ability to choke back tears is starting to get rusty, but the celestial alchemist speaks, “She… died a while ago. She was only 32 at the time. And we were gushing about how she was gonna be a god mama to you kids…” How cruel fate can be! “She wasn’t always perfect. She loved getting into trouble, and there were times when even I would look at her sideways… but she was very dear to me. Very dear…”

Was Molly a bad person? Honestly, yes. Allison knew that. She wasn’t an idiot. Did she love and cherish Molly all the same? Yes. Absolutely. Birds of a feather they were. Two women who shared one thing in common… the world treated them like shit. And there was a time where they finally thought that things would look up for the duo. For Allison it did. Molly? Not so much.. If she deserved happiness and her happily ever after, why not Molly? Could she have not have earned it? Was she that low on time?! This fucked up world keeps ripping away the people she loves one after the other.

There were days when Allison cursed the gods themselves for subjecting Molly to her fate. More so than ever, though, she cursed herself. Another soul that she couldn’t protect from her fate… another beloved lost. Had it not been for her wives, she would’ve been inconsolable and would’ve done something stupid. Thankfully, she’s here now. She’s here with her daughters, her wives, and her friends. She’s here.

“Do you ever miss her, mom?”

Allison’s vision blurs, her tears staining the piece of parchment in her hands. Thankfully her back is to Elphaba. Her voice shakes, but she speaks. “Every day, Elphie… Every damn day.”

An AU, where Angel’s mother is in Hell with the rest of her family; they’re just not aware of it.

Salvia (once known as Sophia) keeps her distance from her family, no longer wanting to be associated with them, after how Angel had been treated in life; she was devastated when he had been ‘lobotomized’ for being gay.

Due to her guilty feelings of not doing more to protect him in life, she also keeps her distance from Angel, staying in the Sloth district and watching him from afar, as best she can. She collects any and all pictures she can find of him modeling that aren’t too risqué; when Hell phones social media became a thing, she embraced it wholeheartedly, following Angel’s Voxtagram and collecting pictures from there.

That Cherri girl seems like such a good friend, too, and look at the little piggy!

In the Sloth district, Salvia works in Husk’s casino, mainly serving drinks and helping to kick some of the more unruly patrons out; she was a mafia boss’s wife, she knows how to handle so-called tough guys.

Nobody she works with is really aware that she’s a spider demon, as she keeps her extra arms retracted and covers her extra eyes with makeup. The less she resembles a spider, the less likely she is to be discovered by someone from her family.

It does break her heart a little that she’s not the exact same colors as the twins (as they did resemble her more than their father.)

When Charlie’s interview came up on the TV, she shocked a good number of her coworkers when she outright laughed when Charlie claimed Angel Dust had been behaving for two weeks, only to be contradicted by the turf war footage.

If it weren’t for her self-imposed exile from her son, she’d have gone to that hotel and given Charlie a piece of her mind, you don’t just tell people who your clients are just because you’re being mocked, have some integrity!

So, imagine her surprise, when, as she’s serving drinks at the table Husk is playing at, she goes from being in a bright and colorful casino, to a dreary, rundown hotel.

Salvia’s not too impressed with her boss’s boss, if she’s being honest.

Before either she or Husk can say anything about sending her back to the casino (since she just works for Husk and isn’t contracted to Alastor,) Charlie excitedly welcomes her to the hotel, Alastor has his little musical number, Pentious attacks the hotel and Alastor makes a show of getting rid of him.

Resigned to her (hopefully temporary) fate, Salvia actually bullies Alastor out of the kitchen (after making him fix it up, it was such a disaster!) in order to have some space from the others and have something to do with her hands.

Well, if anything, she can spend some time with her son, again…even if he doesn’t know who she is.

ABOUT ME: My name is Zoe, i'm on the autism spectrum, i am not my muses. While i do roleplay them, i am definitely not like them in real life (Okay, I'm kinda like Vaggie but minus the anger issues)

BIOS: Sir Pentious is an inventor that died in the 1888 due to a lab accident. He actually did have a son but he died in the lab accident. Pentious went to hell while his son went to heaven. Upon making his eternal visit, Pentious tried multiple times to conquer hell but fail many times. He dearly missed his son and wants to find a lover in hell but hasn't met the right person yet (*wink wink*)

Vaggie: Vaggie was born in 1994 in El Salvador. While her mom saw Vaggie as a blessing, her dad has a less emotional approach, especially when she was diagnosed with autism when she was 2. Their family had money problems, and it slightly complicated when Vaggie was born. Her dad would hit her with a belt, lit cigarettes into her arm, and would tell her that she was an accident and should've never been born. When she saw 4, her mom saw her dad abusing toddler! Vaggie and kicked him out, followed by a divorce. While she is free, her dad's abuse left her with anxiety and trust issues. It was mild in elementary but became a problem in Middle school when Vaggie encountered bullies. When she was in high school, she started to develop anger issues, fighting back against the bullies. When Vaggie turned 18, she thought her life would be better. But unfortunately, her mom died of sickness. With no one to look after her and no money, Vaggie had to resort to being a prostitute. It was fine at first, doing some dancing for her clients. But then they wanted to have sex. Worst part, most of her clients were men and she wasn't that interested in them. But she does it anyway so she can live. But one day, while she was standing on the street, she was kidnapped by a sex trafficking ring. She was sold from one pimp to another, being treated like a living sex toy for them to use. She felt like a pet for men that see her as a piece of meat. When she was 20, she killed some of her pimp's men and escape. However, her freedom was short lived as she was gang-raped by a street gang and her was life was ended by a bullet through her eye. Since she was committed the sins of Wrath, she was sent to hell. Charlie found her in alleyway and decided to take her in. Now, she's the girlfriend/bodyguard of the princess of hell and manager of the Hazbin Hotel.

Angel: Anthony Ragno was born in 1917 along with his twin sister Molly. It was just him, his twin sis, his brother, and his dad. He and his siblings were like three peas growing up, but that changed when Arackniss started to distance himself from them when they became teenagers. Anthony didn't have a good relationship with his dad, as he would always beat him for being a disappointment to the family/mob. He died of an overdose in 1947 at the age of 30 and became hells Number 1 pornstar, Angel Dust

Missing Mothers and Molly

In a land of supposed paradise, a New York mafia mother and her bubbly daughter, an El Salvadorian warrior wife, and a French Creole mother from New Orleans discuss their lost husbands, children and siblings. By sheer luck, they had managed to get into Heaven for following the virtues of kindness and having faith in God to some degree. But paradise came with a great cost: for Angel Dust, Henroin, Arackniss, Alastor and Vaggie lost themselves to the Inferno. Day after day, they engage in prayer, music, and enjoying all the banquets and wealth they can imagine in Holy City. 

 But it all seems off. Like an all too cheery Christmas every day. 

 And their eyes...the Archangel’s critical eyes always watching their every move. One wrong step could spell certain doom. They fear losing their minds to the comfort and pious lifestyle granted to them...even now, they almost completely forget their own children’s names. Would traveling to Hell be worth the risk? Just to see what their children had become. Perhaps not...how easy it is to slip into their divine forms and merge ever closer to the Heavenly Father. No way could they subject themselves to their own Exorcists if they stepped out of line. 

 And all the pain and death and loss starting in their previous human lives. Much better to push those memories away...give into the graceful light, and strive for perfection...for eternity.

 So then, when they see each other and hear of Charlie’s plan to rehabilitate sinners, why do they suddenly feel more awake? Why do they feel a strange spark of hope that they’ll see their families again, a spark brighter than anything in Heaven? But they must never know. For if they knew, a war more devastating than the annual exterminations would be inevitable. 

 What if there's a sinister reason why all demons and angels have the ability to turn into a more powerful form?

 When sinners and Hellborn alike morph into their demon forms at will, they become more powerful...but there's a price. Initiated by their shadows, their demon forms lean them into a primal state bent on destruction and fear. For angels and saints, it's the "too bright light" that makes them blindly obedient to God and the archangels.

 Charlie's future goal may be to help both angels and demons overcome their primal pre-programmed urges...and become more "human". But of course, her own shadow and form won't make things easy.

 What If...Molly, Alastor's Mother (a red doe), and Angel Dust's Mother (white and spider-like) were all in Heaven...enjoying their lives as angel saints, mostly oblivious to the sufferings of their family members down in Hell. As those in Hell are tempted by their demonic forms, shadows and primal nature to be destroyers...those in Heaven will all have a pre-programmed tendency to be obedient and compliant. They are just lucky they haven't been drafted as the robotic Exorcists to slay sinners...yet.

 Hazbin Hotel: The Missing Mothers

 Alastor’s Family:

Armand Louis Moreau – Christian French white father. Wanted Alastor to be more manly and serve God. Started to neglect, abuse and molest Alastor and demanding his wife to meet expectations. Felt pressure from his parents to conform to the social norms. Was killed by Alastor after he attempted to leave for divorce. Arrived in Hell as Neleus, an evil black dog with black antlers. He later joins forces with Adina and the evil angels.

 Antoinette Loretta Moreau – African American French Creole mother. Taught Alastor cooking, voodoo rituals, sewing, singing and dancing. Told him to always be polite to women and “you’re never fully dressed without a smile.” Died from the Spanish Flu in 1918 and went to Heaven as a red doe humanoid named Cerva/Poena.

 Alastor – born Jan 24 1900 – died on Hunter’s Moon fall 1933 by dog attack and gun to the head. Had medium brown skin, brown eyes and short brown hair.

 Angel Dust’s Family:

Italian mafia in Apalachin, New York 20th century:

 Mafia Boss – Henricus Ragno/Henroin

Human name means “Home ruler.” Demon name is a reference to heroin. Last name means “spider,” in Italian, a reference to their Hell forms and web of crime.

 Henroin appears as a large grumpy gray spider in Hell wearing a gray hat and a sullen look on his face. On Earth, he was a black haired strong man with white skin and a thick slightly gray beard; he was nicknamed Henry. He abused Angel Dust for being gay, neglected Molly/abused her and drank a lot. He pressured Arackniss to follow the rules as his second in command.  Both in his human life and in Hell, he was a fearsome ruthless leader, selling drugs to the highest bidders and killing rivals to teach lessons. He died of a heroin overdose.)

 Underboss – Alfonso Ragno/Arackniss

Human name means “Ready for battle.” Demon name comes from “arachnid/spider.”

 Arackniss is the older brother of Angel Dust. He appears as a black short spider in Hell, practical, cold, calculating and serious about the family business. He is the splitting image of his father and the opposite of Angel Dust. In life, he was a practical short man named Alfonso with short black hair who smoked and was an expert with guns. Died a violent death.

 Consigliere – family advisor - Angel’s mother Alessia Ragno/Aranea

Her human name means “defending warrior.” Her afterlife name (Heaven or Hell) is Aranea, Latin for “spider.”

 Aranea appears as a white fluffy spider in Heaven/Hell with several arms, eye jewelry and wearing Italian woman’s clothing from the 20th century. In life, she was a beautiful and tough women with long blonde hair, red lips and deadly weapons but who loved her children. She loved fashion and jewelry and was a role model for Angel Dust and Molly when they were alive. Unlike her husband, she didn’t outright disapprove of Angel Dust being gay. She was often concerned when deals were made too far or when overdosing on drugs and alcohol became a concern. Aranea is only in Heaven because she didn’t kill anyone and she had faith in God. She died of poisoning by a rival gang member.

 Soldiers – Arackniss, Anthony/Angel Dust, Molly

 Anthony Ragno/Angel Dust

His human name means “Priceless one.” His demon name is a reference to the angel dust drug that killed him in New York in 1947. He appears as a white spider in Hell with six arms and two legs. He was a gay man with white skin, and long blonde hair, black at the top with white blonde toward the bottom. Angel Dust, desperate to escape from his mafia lifestyle, instead ended up in the clutches of Valentino as a porn star. His father disapproved of him being gay and pursuing his porn star dreams both on Earth and in Hell. He died from PCP aka Angel Dust overdose.

 Miranda Ragno/Molly

Angel Dust’s younger sister. Her human name means “to be wondered at,” similar to Anthony’s name means “priceless,” “praiseworthy.” Her demon name is a reference to the molly drug ecstasy that killed her. She appears as a white/pink humanoid spider in Heaven with thick white/pink hair and four legs. In life, she consumed molly, alcohol and other drugs but was very caring toward her brother Anthony. She doesn’t like Arackniss nor her father very much but is very close to her mother. Like her brother Angel Dust, she gathered the courage to distance herself from her family business, turning to God as salvation at the last minute. She died from molly overdose (hence her name) and attack from a rival gang. She is in Heaven because she didn’t kill anyone, tried to renounce her sins and she turned to God near the end of her life.)

 Viv said “She is not a demon, nor is she in Hell,” thus she is in Heaven as a saint/angel with Zoophobia traits.

 Other associates who work for the Ragnos

 The Ragnos committed crimes and sold a variety of drugs, near unstoppable to law enforcement. Their gang was disbanded after police discovered them. Angel Dust and his family were involved with one of the Five Families in New York. (Bonanno/Maranzano, Colombo/Profaci, Gambino, Genovese/Luciano and Lucchese/Gagliano)

 Finger pricking initiation ceremony undertaken by Arackniss and Angel Dust to swear their allegiance. No one was allowed to have mustaches. Members often had mistresses, including Henroin, which Aranea/Angel’s Mother wasn’t happy about. Molly was expected to lay low and obey her brothers.

 Omerta – code of silence taken very seriously. Henroin threatened to kill his own family if they ever broke the code.

 Aranea died from a poisonous drink sent by a rival gang.

Henroin died from heroin overdose

Angel Dust died from PCP overdose in 1947

Molly died from molly drug overdose forced on her by gang rape

Arackniss died from a fatal shooting by police

 Henroin will kill anyone, even his family members if they try to turn in anyone to the police. For Henroin, homosexuality is incompatible with the mafia code, thus leading to Angel’s distance from his family after he sought a life of porn, drag and gay sex. Molly was closest to the mother, Arackniss was closer to his dad while Angel was the middle child stuck in the middle.

 Vaggie’s Family:

 Vasilis/Valentino – Italian grandfather, human name Vasilis meaning “regal,” Valentino meaning “strong”. (Vox’s former name was Vincent and Velvet’s former name was Vanessa.) Valentino was a dark skinned Italian pimp on Earth. Arrived in Hell in the 70s as a powerful pimp Overlord, owner of Porn Studios and owner of clients like Angel Dust.

 Vaggie’s father Vasquez Pollila/Vasco - Wants Vaggie to be a straight submissive prostitute but Vaggie prefers other women, dancing and fighting.  Slept with other women behind the mother’s back. Appears as a dark demonic moth named Vasco similar to Valentino in Hell.

 Valencia Polilla/Vaggie’s Mother – El Salvadorian woman named Valencia. Appears as a gray moth humanoid angel in Heaven nicknamed Vali, skilled in archery. As a human, she worked hard to feed and sustain her children, but died from an illness/overwork at a young age.

 Vagatha Polilla/Vaggie

Vagatha means “good.” Polilla means “moth” in Spanish. She was an El Salvadorian woman with light brown skin, thick black hair with pink highlights, broken heart shirts and skull earrings. Appeared as an emo/goth Mexican girl, similar to Octavia. Day of the Dead is her favorite holiday. Vaggie grew up in New Mexico in the 1990s with El Salvadorian culture in a working class family. Vaggie loved punk rock music (Especially My Chemical Romance), martial arts, cultural dancing and other women. People bullied her for being a lesbian and an El Salvadorian.

 Vaggie had several siblings: brother Dick, sisters Virginia and Agatha. Vagatha died in 2014 at age 22 by a brutal gang rape. Appears as a gray moth demon in Hell who distrusts men due to her trauma she faced. As the moth is a creature of the night, prostitutes can likewise be seen as “ladies of the night,” as Vaggie was. Like moths, Vaggie is mysterious, always searching for more meaning in her life and she finds herself unique among the other “butterfly” “pretty” girls around her. Moths are also symbolic of the subconscious as well as death and personal transformation, two things Vaggie went through. Charlie is Vaggie’s one light in the darkness of Hell, and she’ll do what it takes to defend Charlie as well as herself. Like Charlie, Vaggie has a powerful dark side as well, being an expert in wielding angelic weapons.

Salem’s childhood wasn’t... awful, but it could’ve been a lot better. She hardly remembers her parents, they died not long after Jinx was born and they were taken in by the Valentino family, who were family friends. For the longest time she was very reserved and kept to herself, only ever opening up around her brothers (or occasionally Castello because he just. he gets it, man), until the time came when she eventually warmed up enough to see Xanthos and Unnamed Valentino Mom as second parents.

But she decided pretty early on to take it upon herself to look after and take care of her brothers, always. They’re the last real family she had left. She decided they’d be her top priority, that they’d come first. She’d look after them, eventually coming to make their lunches (whenever the Valentino mom or someone the family hired didn’t but even then–), she just! Wanted to look after her family (hm why does that sound familiar)

She’s always been incredibly introverted, but opens up in safe spaces. Which was mainly home and family. She’d usually be found either around her brothers, hidden away behind Unnamed Valentino Mom, or otherwise trying to keep to herself. She kinda... shut down a lot whenever she was pushed too far out of her comfort zone.

Salem also wasn’t really the kinda girl who ran around playing. Her brothers ran around like the buncha goofy idiots they are but Salem always stuck by Castello during these moments, acting (funnily enough) like his shadow. Castello, being very much the same in not being the type to run around and play much, was perfectly fine with this.

Matter of fact she wasn’t very ‘girly’ either, she never wore dresses or anything, never wore makeup, she was very much always a tomboy type but like. Duh. Surprising no one.

She slept a lot. She’d sleep just about anywhere tbh. The Valentino mom was actually kinda concerned over this but it’d turn out it wasn’t anything serious, Salem was just really damn sleepy all the time. The real problems wouldn’t kick in until later in her life. 

Salem took awhile to warm up to the Ragno kids. She got comfortable around Arackniss first, of course, because he was quiet and kept to himself like she did. Molly and Angel took a little longer though before Salem opened up little by little and actually got friendly. She also got closer with Molly over the years of course.

She always seemed to open up a little more and be a little more cheerful when autumn or winter came around. She just always thought it was so cozy.

Arackniss was the first time she ever like. Had a crush on anyone and it was the weirdest thing for her she had no idea what to do ever. The Valentino mom probably caught on but she mercifully never teased Salem about it.

I can probably come up with more but i’m tired and i wanna finally post this and this seems good enough for now anyway–

So. Apparently it wasn't a one time thing.

Dear Diary, I think I'm going to die.

I came over for dinner, I couldn't help staying away. As much as I was tired or struck with anxiety, we talked.

"You are, bar none, the most vivacious woman I've met in all of Hell." He called me a goddess ... I open up to him about my suspicions and fears and he calls me a goddess ... It still ended up with sex but it was much more passionate than I could've expected.
