trick or treat!! do you have any musicians?
You got Margaret Brown - the only socialite I've ever cared about. She was first known for marrying her husband, James Joseph Brown, but separated in 1909, though they never divorced, and became known for her ability to survive sinking ships. After the Titanic disaster, Margaret actually established a committee whilst still on the rescuing ship RMS Carpathia, and in a show of humanity more unique and rare to that time, made sure the survivors of the first class took care of the second and third classes, even providing informal counseling. She tried to secure a role as a Colorado senator, but abandoned the endevor in support of France in WWI. She also went on to help secure vote for white women internationally. Despite popular belief, she was only called the unsinkable maggie brown after her death - She was refereed to as Margaret through her life.

Titanic passenger sketches! A little wonky but each one was done in around 5 minutes or less.

Good movie. It should’ve been at least 95 minutes shorter. But still. Good movie.

One of my favourite scenes that sets up the characters so well.
Ismay is an idiot. Cal is a total asshole. Rose you beautiful badass. One of the best things ever is Rose delivering this total burn of a dick joke. Molly and Thomas’s reactions to said dick joke, I love them both.
Seriously, Rose just casually committing murder and Molly and Thomas just being like *this is the best thing I’ve seen in ages* 🤣

"Astronaut John W. Young took this picture during the second orbit of the Gemini-Titan 3 three-orbit mission as the spacecraft 'Molly Brown' passed over Northern Mexico at an altitude of 90 miles. The light-brown circular area at the lower right is the Sonoran Desert. The lower portion of the picture is Mexico, and the upper part is California. Young used a hand-held modified 70mm Hasselblad camera with color film."

story of the day:
the spacecraft Gemini 3 had the call name "Molly Brown." the astronauts named it- when management tried to get them to change it, they suggested "Titanic" instead, and got to keep "Molly Brown."
that was the last space shuttle the astronauts were allowed to name.
