Sustrato gráfico de Mollusca 2019 - 2022

Compendio de proyectos gráficos realizados durante mis primeros años a cargo de la dirección de arte. La estética presagiada por el sustrato para la variedad de publicaciones y experiencias de Mollusca, se asentó en una característica de los moluscos, la elastoplasticidad; idea principal para entender y explicar la consistencia y movimientos de su hacer. Por un lado, los diseños presentan una apariencia minimalista serena, fundamentalmente productos de orden organizacional y/o institucional, los cuales están compaginados en diagramaciones libres pero consistentes en tipografía, paleta cromática, texturas y patrones. Por otro lado, la estética se vuelve ecléctica y vibrante con el uso de piezas de artistas e ilustraciones originales para potenciar el magazine, los programas de estudio y las experiencias, como lugares donde Mollusca da vitrina a la creación artística así como a los trabajos de investigación. Para el sustrato gráfico la marca no es estática, en los diseños institucionales rotan elastoplásticamente los elementos básico de la identidad visual, y en los diseños promocionales, la unidad dentro de la variedad de creadores invitados se sustenta en una marcada estilización tipográfica.

Molluca’s Graphic Substrate

Compendium of graphic projects I carried out during my first years in charge of the art direction. The aesthetics foreshadowed by the substrate for the variety of publications and experiences of Mollusca thrives on a characteristic of mollusks, elastoplasticity, the main idea behind understanding and explaining the consistency and movements of their work. On the one hand, the designs display a serene minimalist appearance, fundamentally products of organizational and institutional order, compounded in a free layout consistent in typography, color palette, textures, and patterns. On the other hand, the aesthetics become eclectic and vibrant with the use of original artwork and illustrations to boost the magazine, experiences, and study programs, as stands where Molluca showcases artistic creation and research work. For the graphic substrate, the brand is not static; for institutional designs, the visual identity assets rotate elastoplastically. For promotional designs, the unity within the variety of the pieces of guest creators relies on a marked typographic stylization.
