Maurice Sendak: Went to the Skirball Museum in Los Angeles for the 2nd time this week to see the soon to close Maurice Sendak Exhibition. Joyful, exuberant, thought provoking and emotional. If you need some motivation to keep growing, changing, and creating, look at Sendak. I didn’t know about his one Pop up book, Mommy? A joyful salute to the greatest monsters of Movieland. Remembering back to that time that I told my friend "hey, you can eat those mushrooms, but don't consume them with alcohol" which he interpreted as "they'll make you drunk and/or high like when the field guides list psychedelics as poisonous even though they're not" as opposed to "if you eat them with alcohol, you will get coprine poisoning and vomit and shit your whole self" which is what actually happened.

We both learned valuable lessons about communication.
