modern tywin lannister has a monthly pass to the everyman cinema but thinks every movie made past 1979 is utter shit so he never uses it but joffrey is constantly harassing cersei about how going to the movie theatre is cool and retro and y2k so tri-annually she has to drink 3 whole bottles of red wine in one sitting to work up the courage to call tywin on her iphone 14 and ask if she can take the kids to see the mario movie or something and tywin’s disappointed silence after the “…yes” is so loud she locks herself in her en-suite bathroom and cries silently for half an hour listening to bobby b snore phlegm-ily on his back in the next room. she makes a family day of it when the time comes (herself, joffrey, myrcella, tommen and jaime. obviously. who even is robert baratheon?) and after the movie’s over she insists they go to the m&s down the road so she can buy the most diabolically disgusting ready meals known to man (joffrey holds his nose the entire time they’re in there) and jaime’s like “don’t you have a cook?” and cersei, getting increasingly irritated at the self-serve, is like “we did we had to let him go” but actually he just low-key looked like a young ned so naturally both her and bobby b slept with him so they made him sign an NDA and fired him with 2 days notice

au in which robert, the starks and the lannisters play monopoly instead of going hunting and pushing each other‘s kids from towers.

tyrion implements a tax system to make things more interesting and fights cersei over the cat for a solid ten minutes.

around thirty minutes into the game, catelyn realizes that she has free will and stops paying taxes.

arya and sansa haggle over new york avenue, which ends up being bought by theon. this causes the two to completely cast aside their differences, ally and subsequently start doing everything in their power to make theon‘s life hell.

theon himself is quite severely stoned the entire time throughout.

ned enters horrendous debt pretty much immediately and, after two hours of being financially sucked dry by both cersei and his tax evader of a wife, decides to just place his figurine in jail and never leave.

jon, playing the dog, controls the railroads and makes jaime, playing the ship, go completely broke within minutes. being beaten by a bastard and officially the first to lose the game makes jaime so mad he spends the rest of the evening perched on the family‘s ancestral armchair eating flaming hot cheetos and stifling sobs.

cersei is holding onto her last two dollars and her one house in atlantic avenue like a maniac and evades taxes like it‘s an olympic sport. she claims ownership of kentucky avenue on the grounds that red is her house‘s color at least twice. after three hours, she‘s consumed enough vintage red to kill a large mammal and keeps quoting the art of war. fascinatingly enough, she never goes completely broke.

robert, just as broke and drunk as his wife but not nearly as ferocious, proposes marriage for tax advantages to bran, who is in possession of the boardwalk and lets him dangle on his proposition for two rounds before accepting and feeling like a benevolent god.

sansa sees this and immediately proposes to arya, who accepts, only for them to be sued by their mother for public indecency („you‘re siblings, jesus christ!“). arya argues that this is just a game and that one could argue that robert‘s and bran‘s marital alliance is just as if not even more inappropriate, considering that bran is seven and robert thirtyseven. sansa countersues her mother for tax evasion, who promises she‘ll drop her lawsuit if her daughters let her keep hoarding perverse amounts of wealth. „love wins!“ arya says, which causes jaime, still perched on the armchair but now eating old nan‘s home made whiskey truffles, to hysterically sob. cersei stares him down.

robb, in a rare moment of almost prophetic foresight, excuses himself one hour in and goes on a very, VERY long walk with grey wind.

tyrion, whose tax system has spectacularly backfired in his face, proposes marriage to catelyn, jon and cersei in rapid succession, who all turn him down. „i wish i was the monster you think i am. i wish i had enough poison for the whole pack of you. i would gladly give my life to watch you all swallow it.“ he screams before he leaves the table.

at that, joffrey, who has refused to participate and instead sits on the couch playing doom on his nintendo ds, starts hysterically laughing. tyrion turns on his heel and awards his nephew with the bitchslap of the century. this causes cersei to completely abandon the game and chase after him with a broom. catelyn makes sure that everyone is distracted by the lannister antics and then reaches across the table and bags cersei‘s money and properties.

with a heavy heart, myrcella trades arya and sansa one of her limited edition bayala schleich unicorns for park place.

at this point, the game is between the tycoons that are catelyn and jon, the bran-robert alliance, the arya-sansa-alliance, and ned, who is still in jail and watching ice hockey on his phone under the table. that is when catelyn hears rickon gagging and discovers that he, in the absence of tyrion, the self declared bank manager, has managed to eat all bank notes from the box.

rickon gets his stomach pumped, cersei and tyrion have both been arrested, theon is still stoned, arya, sansa and myrcella have wandered off to go play schleich horses, and jon remains at the table, alone, content, and quietly considering himself the winner.

More Texan Lannisters because I have brain rot:

-Joffrey goes hunting once and becomes obsessed with it. He carries deer hooves around in his backpack and taps out rhythms on his desk at school.

-Myrcella always has her hair curled and done up with those huge clip on bows.

-Myrcella catches anoles for Tommen because he isn't fast enough to grab them himself.

-All three children have ATVs and drive them around Casterly Rock without helmets. Joffrey once ran a hiker off of a canyon trail and never told anyone.

-The Casterly Rock dining room has a huge dining table. The center piece is a taxidermied lion. Everyone pretends to like it, and Tommen is terrified of it.

-Cersei calls every woman she meets honey.

-Tyrion is a centrist and Cersei sends him boomery MAGA memes from FB and calls him a woke-ist.

-Cersei hosts slumber parties for Myrcella's cheer team at the Rock, and personally disinvites several little girls because she doesn't think they're pretty enough to be friends with Myrcella.

-Cersei posts bikini selfies on Twitter, she is almost always holding a rifle.

-When Jaime starts dating Brienne, she and Cersei passive aggressively regift each other the same set of unopened scented candles for every holiday and birthday.

I found this in my drafts and thought i’d share but here is my Small Town GOT AU:

Dany is a freshman and she’s the artsy creative girl that has always had really long hair in elaborate styles and everyone wonders how she has the time for them. She has three cats and calls herself their mother unironically, and she runs an insta page for them. She’s dating Daario who's probably a junior and is sort of a “bad boy” meaning he rides a skateboard and ditches class to hang out with Dany in the art room. People underestimate her but she runs for student government and is heavily involved with the activism clubs at school with her best friend Missadrei so everyone quickly learns not to mess with her because she’ll get MAD. Also Jorah, guy who graduated years ago but still shows up at all the school events, is obsessed with Dany and everyone thinks it’s weird but isn’t gonna say anything because he was the former starplayer of Sports Team and he gives her advice on student council even though he was never in it..

Myrcella is one of those middle schoolers who acts way older but somehow pulls it off. Like she has a perfectly curated instagram and always has a new matching lulu set and her hair is somehow never frizzy and she wears the pink sol de janeiro scent so people think she’d be mean because of how she looks (and her mom and brother are Cersei Lannister and Joeffrey) but she’s actually really sweet and kind of a loner other than her boyfriend who she met when she went to boarding school for a year in Dorne and she fully believes they’re getting married someday and has an entire Pinterest board already created.

Arya is not a theater kid but is in the stage crew to help choreograph stage fights and she’s really good at being stealth and dressing in all black. She teaches classes at local dojo (brilliant idea stolen from @jeyneofpoole )and that’s how she bonded with Sandor (janitor at school) who once showed up to her beginners class consisting of mostly 7 year olds and still stayed the whole class. At school she sometimes sneaks into the janitors closet to steal stuff for stage crew and he’ll help her break down sets after shows even though he complains about it.

Varys is the drama teacher who has all the theater kids sit in his classroom in the basement during lunch and tell him all the gossip around the school, and he’s a little shit stirrer so he always adds to the fire. His greatest joy in life is releasing the cast list with insane choices and watching chaos unfold while saying he just “wants what’s best for the show”. Always has a weirdly ornate shawl dramatically wrapped around him because it “gets cold in the basement”. Will go on monologues on a whim and tell stories that no one can tell if they are true or not but are entertaining nonetheless and people hope he’ll forget to assign homework (he never forgets).

Petyr Baelish, history teacher that flirts with the popular girls and makes everyone uncomfortable, former loser who tries to be cool as a teacher, but it’s a small town where everyone is townies and so people still remember when Ned's brother beat his ass because he professed his love to neds then girlfriend Catelyn.

ASoIaF/GoT Characters and If They’d See Barbie💗 or Oppenheimer💣 Part 2 (Lannisters, Petyr & Varys)

Part 1

Tywin Lannister: Doesn't really have time for movies. Isn't interested at all in Oppenheimer, what could that movie teach him that he doesn't already know? Maybe Barbie, that servant of his (Arya 😄 hehe) mentioned it once. [Author's note: Can show Tywin and Arya please watch Barbie together? 🥺🥰 Just a little girl and her voluntary fatherly figure employer]

Jaime Lannister: He's just Ken and that's kenough. Can't he be seen as good for once? He's done so much: served as a knight for multiple regents but worked against Aerys when the people weren't safe from him. People always speak of the Kingslayer and talk about dishonour behind his back, not seeing that killing isn't just simply an evil act.

Cersei Lannister: Both. The women should get something about themselves for once. She also wants to look into "the world of men", so Oppenheimer as well.

Joffrey: Are you kidding? Barbie's banned in King's Landing. The ladies need to stop refusing proposals when the lords talk shit about that movie. Pink's a stupid color anyway, let the Boltons have that.

Tommen: Barbie, Ser Pounce gets an extra cute pink tie.

Myrcella: Barbie, she really gets to bond with her mother.

Varys: Illegal network of people handing out copies of Barbie. Someone has to do it.

Petyr Baelish: Movie about a mastermind for someone who sees himself as a mastermind: perfection combination. Also Barbie, he needs to know what all the fuzz is about and whether he should employ some Barbie or Ken lookalikes at his brothel.

Also, he totally watches Barbie with Varys and they discuss both movies afterwards. In great detail. "Oh, what do I see Littlefinger discussing there with the Spider? Are they talking about the politics?" No. No, they aren't. They're talking about Barbie.

I hate it when people focus too much on Joffrey, Tommen, and Myrcella them not being Robert’s kids to the point that they deny Baratheon family connections. Stannis is their UNCLE, it doesn’t matter if they’re related. That’s what they grew up with. Renly was their Fun Uncle. Shireen is their cousin. They probably had play dates. Stannis probably came to family dinners. Renly snuck Joffrey his first sip of wine. Myrcella would climb on Stannis’ lap after dinner and fall asleep, while Cersei rolled her eyes. They’re family!!!

I know I'm certainly in need of some positivity and escapism lately, so I'm gonna try to do semi-regular fic and book recs! Starting with a retroactive what I've been reading from the past couple of months with this account! (I might go back in time and make an all-time rec list later)

Sergeant Squeaks by @charliemwrites - (series of one-shots ghost x reader and price x reader separately) both one of my favourite reader characters and my favourite canon setting depictions of Ghost and Price. their own weird brands of showing love are wonderful; the tension leading to getting together is fantastic, and the sex is super enjoyable.

Ghost Stories by @kneelingshadowsalome - (ghost x medic!reader) I'm repeating myself, but I love Salome's writing. This is where I was first introduced to it, and I think it's really special. Ghost POV as he struggles with developing and then accepting love. felt so real and grounded. angsty and then fluffy, and you can't help but adore the reader as well.

saltwater by @ceilidho - (ghost x reader) It's pretty unlikely any of you don't know Ceil, but on the off chance you haven't given this one a read yet, it really is a must. I lump praise on her pretty regularly, but I don't know anyone who is able to portray their character's emotions as intimately as Ceil. her ghost feels really grounded in all his complexity. there is a common theme in these recs of really enjoyable reader characters, and this is not an exception; the reader feels like a full but still ambiguous character who is vulnerable and strong and really great.

don't leave me locked in your heart by @ohbo-ohno - (ghoap x reader dark!) we all know bo, we all love bo. I always love the way she depicts ghost and soap's dynamic changing and evolving to include the reader. the descent into dark territory in this is really really fun. It's also just hot and well-written! if you haven't read it before, go read it, and then go read all of bo's drabbles and asks on here. genuinely one of my favourite dark but still fun writers. I think she balances it really well.

body electric by @yeyinde and Afterburn by @sprout-fics - (141 + Los Vaqueros x reader) a classic. I've returned to these so many times. sometimes you just want to read dirty, filthy, well done, smut and then warm cozy aftercare. not to wax poetic about pure sex (except that's exactly what one should do), but I think it can be really hard to write group sex like this and still have such insightful and individual glimpses into each character and dynamic, and Lev does it wonderfully. and then it's also hard to find good aftercare fic, and Sprout's feels like literal aftercare for both the reader character and the reader.

other fandoms

tried to curate to themes i think overlap in some of the cod works! and I think most of these can be read fandom blind.

i revisited @winterrose527's fic in August, and even though she already knows how much I love her work, I won't skip a chance to repeat it. Anna writes for asoiaf and is pretty much the queen of Robb Stark/Myrcella Baratheon, but I would say the modern AUs (my favs) can be read almost completely fandom blind. Any contemporary romance enjoyer would love her work. I'm really partial to her kid/single-parent fics. I think it's so hard to get right, and I always adore reading her kid characters and how she approaches love stories when kids are involved. anna's works are always brimming with love and incredible platonic, familiar, parent-child, and romantic relationships (if kid fic isn't your thing she also has a ton of other great fics). personal favs: We Could Be a Little Something, And There They Are, All the Same

Lawless by @goldcranes - (arthur morgan x ofc) age difference, cowboy love story, essentially a romance novel. if goldcranes has no fans, I'm dead. I encourage you to explore her work; very few people write as strongly across multiple fandoms as she does, and each of her works feels like a really strong love story with special characters.

The Odyssey by @sunlightmurdock - (bradley bradshaw x reader) 1980's roman literature prof x virgin student - no need to know top gun. katie's work is another entry in the 'feels like it stands really strongly separately from the source material' category. she has multiple ongoing AU's that I really love, but this one is a favourite. i think she does complex characters really well - their actions always feel intentional, and as flawed as they are, I always love them.

Wouldn't it be Nice by allyoops - (m/f captive A/B/O) if you aren't reading original works smut on ao3 you are missing out and allyoops is a great place to start for noncon, dubcon, age gap, taboo etc. enjoyers. they have a ton of works; usually one shots with lots of really delicious dynamics and different settings and tropes.

An Intoxicating Presence by FormerlyIR - (mob a/b/o haladriel) MOB. A/B/O. HALADRIEL. picks up with Halbrand in prison thanks to undercover FBI agent (and his mate!) Galadriel. does that sound crazy and awesome? well it is. mix it with Gal's internal struggle, the added complication of omegaverse, and overall great writing. really fun and really damn good.

civitas terrena by banalityofweevil - (darklina) angel Alina on an exploration of love in immortality with fallen angel Aleks. honestly, it's just a must-read for enjoyers of writing. incredibly creative with divine (literally and figuratively) imagery. i think one of my comments was on the precision of lulu's diction and I really stand by that.

tinsel into gold by ribbonedhare - (darklina) ddlg and cnc friends, this changed me. it is so warm and soft and my god, is it good. just scrumptious.

Hello! I have no ASOIAF mutuals and I just needed to confess some Sims 2 Sins: I made the Baratheons of Dragonstone in the Sims 2 and the "Baratheons" of King's Landing (I call them the Cersei Crew) SO Robert Baratheon died in a tragic pool accident that was definetly not planned (I sold the ladder) and one of Cersei's wants was seeing his ghost so that made her super duper happy for a while until his ghost started haunting poor Tommen and Myrcella. Joffrey picked a fight with a stray cat. He lost. In order for Cersei and Jaime to have a relationship and because I can't have incest relationships, I made 2 Tywins and 2 Joannas. Cersei was the daughter of Tywin 1 and Joanna 1, while Jaime and Tyrion were the sons of Tywin 2 and Joanna 2. Both Joannas tragically died in the swimming pool and I made the 2 Tywins fight for dominance and kept the winner alive (Tywin 2 won) . Tyrion is banging the cleaning maid but he has 0 chemistry with the Shae sim I made. I had to kill Shae and Tywin 2 in the swimming pool for lore purposes. I got Cersei a job in the criminal career because that was one of her wants. The Baratheons of Dragonstone are WAY more chaotic. Davos and Melisandre duke it out on the DAILY. Shireen got into private school and she's BFFs with Myrcella. Patchface got abducted by aliens and has yet to return. Selyse sat the house on fire TWICE. Everyone was so misrerable all the time so I bought them a hot tub and a stereo, and afterwards they did nothing but jump in the hot tub together like they're in some sort of weird spa. Selyse now does nothing but dancing to salsa. It's always salsa time for Selyse. Mel "sacrificed" the pizza delivery girl to R'hllor (I made her lock the girl in a room with nothing but a toaster oven and a flammable rug) but she hasn't died yet so now I keep her there. Stannis wanted a career in politics so I got him a job but he got fired after a few days because he was too busy playing water balloons with Davos in the backyard to go to work. I haven't noticed that nobody was paying attention to Shireen during the whole pizza girl on fire debacle, so her needs decayed badly and CPS took her away. Selyse was dancing to salsa, Stannis and Mel were in the hot tub and Davos was stomping the cockroaches in Shireen's room when CPS arrived and it was nothing short of pure chaos. I'm trying to adopt her back :(

Now I'm suddenly interested in the Theon × Myranda pairing 😭 is that even a thing?

Also how did I not remember one of Arianne's possible suitors was Edmure ... like. The possibilities. Everyone is so interconnected and people don't make much use of this in modern AUs (understandable because they're usually not all related in modern AUs) but this could bring about so many fun dynamics. Arianne, Quentyn and the Sand Snakes being Jon's half-siblings' cousins .. huge. Like how Sam is related to Selyse Florent and (haven't actually checked but I think I remember him also being related to) Margaery. Shireen's cousins not actually being Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen but Gendry, Edric, and Mya (and like thirteen others). Jorah's ex wife Lynesse being Margaery's aunt. Waymar Royce being Myranda's [second?]-cousin. The Waynwoods most likely being distant Stark relatives, etc etc.

The show has ended and the books are over but there's so mug material for fics, it's crazy. I love that this fandom is still so active 5+ years later.

I headcanon Theon and Myranda more as partners in crime than anything else. Like a once upon a time they might have had something once but then they realized that they were better off as friends and became each others wingman. When Theon introduces her to Patrek Mallister >>>

I don’t see the sand snakes and co being the most welcoming to him, with the exception of Arianne, and I think while Aegon and Rhaenys spend holidays with their mom (you better believe that joint custody agreement is ironclad) Jon and Dany end up getting shuttled to the Baratheon’s vacation home, where there’s no shortage of beach, cousins, baby moms, and nannies running after children around the house screaming “PUT THAT DOWN NOW.”

Selyse and Sam’s mom are first cousins, which makes Sam and Shireen first cousins! Margaery’s maternal grandfather married Sam’s aunt, so they are sort of related! Jorah’s ex wife being Alerie’s younger sister is hilarious to me and I have no idea why. You know she’s showing up to every holiday party in a fur coaf reminding Margaery to marry rich. I’ve also decided that she’s best friends with Cersei because why not? There’s so much stuff to play with and that’s what makes writing about it so much fun!

i have decided to break down all the wild potential female line claimants to the iron throne thru the targaryen line because why not let’s go:

Jaehaerys II + Shaera -> Aerys + Rhaella -> Daenerys

Rhaelle + Ormund Baratheon -> Steffon Baratheon. Steffon + Cassandra Eastermont = Robert, Stannis, and Renly.

so rhaella & shaera's lines are the same as their brothers, and rhaelle is the grandmother of the baratheon kings, which means like the targaryen main line, all of their lines will be dead or illegitimate as well (rip myrcella, tommen, shireen, aegon vi, and daenerys tho).

that leads you up from aegon v to maekar’s daughters, and since we are at a time period where no main character was alive, i made a little graphic to explain easier. let's start with daeron ii (since he's maekar's father anyway) and work backwards:

there’s several ladies in this grouping: rhae, daella, aelora, daenora, and vaella. we know ‘recently’ a targaryen married the evenstar, and timeline wise, it can only be Rhae or Daella, likely to selwyn’s grandfather. which means claimant number one is selwyn & brienne as king & princess of dragonstone claimant. hell yeah.

there’s two “dead end” branches next. maekar has a granddaughter, vaella, but given she’s described as “simple” it’s likely she never married. daeron & myriah, meanwhile, had no daughters but their son rhaegel had two, aelora and daenora. aelora married her brother aelor but aelora killed herself several years after aelor died (it’s a wild story but not relevant). no children. daenora married into maekar’s line tho, to aerion brightflame and had a son, maegor targaryen, who was passed over for aegon v. we do not know if he married or had kids bc it’s not listed and it’s not like there’s a cadet targaryen house anywhere so if he did marry, probably all daughters.

even further back is aegon the unworthy who had one daughter: daenerys. yes that’s right, our second claimant for king and princess of dragonstone is doran and arianne martell (and then, haha, elia and aegon vi AGAIN, love nobility family trees). and then technically, because the martells are normal and don’t die off every two generations, probably a few offshoot martell cousins. and a reminder that minus mysterious maegor, we have no living male line descendants potentially hanging around either. but back to the targ line.

viserys ii had naerys who married aegon iv so their line is the same. aegon iii, his brother, had three daughters.

daena has daemon blackfyre and given that he was legitimized, you could make the argument that the blackfyres have a claim lmao, so any female line daemon kids could be fair game. then you have elaena targaryen who had several legitimate children: viserys plumm, & robin, laena, jocelyn, and joy penrose. that’s right my esteemed readers our third claimant for king and prince of dragonstone is phillip & dennis plumm!

*loud boos bc they’re not even a great house or a house that used to be kings, they’re just some random nobles in the westerlands* shut up i’m not finished!!

through elaena, the only targ pulling her weight out here to populate the family tree, we have our fourth claimant as well: Old Penrose of the Parchments for King on the Iron Throne!

there’s no reason laena, jocelyn, and joy did not marry but we have no info on them so just know if they married some random landed knight, we also have some random dude walking around the stormlands who could be the next king of westeros.

then we get JAEHAERYS but to keep with ignoring men in this post, i entitled it “alyssa’s line.”

baby visenya, who was a stillbirth & jaehaera, who died before having children, are the two “dead end” lines from the dance. before them is viserys, who had helaena but helaena’s heirs are aegon ii’s heirs.

now, jaehaerys had daenerys, alyssa, saera, viserra, daella, and gael. daenerys died before having children as did viserra. gael & saera had no legitimate children. that leaves alyssa and daella. daella had aemma arryn, who married back into the targ family tree to have rhaenyra. alyssa also married back into the family tree and had three sons, viserys, daemon, and aegon. aegon died as a baby, we know viserys, but daemon had two daughters with laena velaryon: baela and rhaena. laena herself is also a distant claimant through the female line - aemon, jaehaerys’ first born son, and jocelyn baratheon had rhaenys, the queen that never was, who had laena. through baela we get our fifth claimant for king of westeros, the literal toddler montereys velaryon! rhaena is kinda tricky - she had no children in her first marriage, and six daughters in her second to garmund hightower but he was the third son and his oldest brother had six kids so it’s not likely the hightower line descends from rhaena however it would be really funny if it did so for the sake of making myself laugh i give you our sixth claimant to the seat of house targaryen, king leyton hightower and prince of dragonstone baelor breakwind. this puts a lot of people in the running tbh, bc leyton has a million kids. his daughters marry and have kids with an ambrose, a tyrell, a cupps, and a redwyne (and a mormont but jorah and lynesse have no children).

(it would require all the hightower male heirs to die [not likely, there’s three of them] AND mad maid malora as well to get to alerie but king and queen mace and alerie tyrell with willas as prince of dragonstone is so fucking funny to me. hey daeron how olenna’s ass taste now.)

before jaehaerys, we have aenys, who had rhaena the boss bitch & alysanne. alysanne’s line is jaehaerys’ obviously, and rhaena married her brother aegon the uncrowned. they had two girls, aerea and rhaella, but neither lived to see adulthood. maegor never had living kids, which brings us back to aegon, who had only sons, and visenya and rhaenys, who married their brother.

i actually had a point to this which is that there is just no one sitting on that fucking chair at the ending because there is no one left alive to sit on it that the lords would choose. they’re not crowning a penrose or a plumm and they’re certainly not crowning my girls arianne and brienne however hilarious i think that would be. i think “westeros breaks up along weird new borders” makes sense just due to that alone - the north will push for independence (maybe parts of the riverlands will want to stick with the north), dorne isn’t likely to be thrilled about some random ass king, the iron islands is…the iron islands, so the only kingdoms that might actually want to stick together are the stormlands, the reach, the crownlands, the vale, and the westerlands, but also, all of these bitches hate each other right now & a lot of them are gonna bite it so who knows.

anyways tldr female line targaryen claimants include these wild choices for King & Heir:

Selwyn and Brienne of Tarth

Doran and Arianne Nymeros Martell of Dorne

Any female line Blackfyres

Phillip and Dennis Plumm of the Westerlands (so minor we don’t even know where their seat is lmao)

Ned Stark starting to feel uncomfortable and he explains that all Baratheon children have dark hair. Meanwhile Modern Reader explains that the children have features of both of their parents, also Reader brings up children from House Baratheon that didn’t have dark hair, the reason why no one knows about it is because the children were daughters of the family. Modern Reader explains that Cersei had first child with dark hair, who unfortunately didn’t make it.

While Modern Reader explains Ned Stark about the facts and the genetics works and all. Yandere platonic Cersei is very thankful for Modern Reader for saving her and her children.

I’m not sure whether the first child survives or not, but I think Ned Stark with Jon Arryn wouldn’t have suspected anything, because the first child has Baratheon features and other children (Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen) just resemble their mother and that’s it. Also I think Modern Reader would know the truth, but won’t say it in order to protect her family. I guess after that explanation Ned Stark would probably live and he won’t die.

This moment is sure to live. But reader will never let anyone insult his brothers. 😅🤣😂 I would like to see the shape of Ned's face. He had never imagined that his own family would be accused of incest and treason. I think Cersei and Robert's firstborn will survive. Thanks to the information that the reader knows, the baby is saved. Moreover, we know that Cersenin had Robert's baby aborted at least once. I think the reader will not allow it. So Cersei and Robert will have two children. Jaime collapses from laughter when he hears it. He laughs so much that he can't hold back his tears. Ned's face grows old as he can't see the forensic shape. Ned is shocked by what he hears. The questions directed against his family cause him to get angry. I think he understands that he shouldn't be buzzing anymore. The Crown Prince has the full Baratheon look anyway. Most likely, Ned won't die and there won't be any wars.

myrcella will always, always, refer to herself as a baratheon. politically, she and dorn.e are on the same page. blood does not matter here. robert was king and robert named her his daughter, legally and by decree of the king, she is his daughter. someone will end up frustrated with her but she will be strong in her convinction. the reality? vile rumors, nothing more. if anything, she is the modern parallel of rhaeny.ra's children. valaryon on name and spirit only, as she is a baratheon. and like her, what matters is the word of the king, the king names them his trueborn heirs after rhaenyr.a nuff said.

🍍 Ahh I love so many kinds of AUs... I love a single parent AU, a forced proximity AU, a Royal! AU (particularly if it comes with arranged marriage and the ungodly embarrassment of being attracted to the person you're married to).

I don't necessarily have beef with any AUs per se but there are definitely ones that don't interest me - like I don't find rivalries all that interesting, because I think it's often two people just being super self-involved and inconsiderate which is unattractive to read. I also don't know that this is really an AU but I think when a story changes so much about a person's circumstance but doesn't change their character over it, it frustrates me. ASOIAF in particular. Their parentage, their privilege, etc. is SO intrinsic to so many of the characters and I write silly modern AUs all the time but I do try to keep core personality there while amending for different circumstances. (not to say I always succeed)
