ME END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Please read this Agreement carefully. It is a legal document that explains your rights and obligations related to your interaction with me, especially if you are a giant corporation. By doing anything with me, or by otherwise indicating your acceptance of this Agreement, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not or cannot agree to the terms of this Agreement, you may not interact with me. THIS AGREEMENT CONTAINS A BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND CLASS-ACTION WAIVER PROVISION. IF YOU ACCEPT THIS AGREEMENT, YOU AND ME AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES IN BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND GIVE UP THE RIGHT TO GO TO COURT INDIVIDUALLY OR AS PART OF A CLASS ACTION, AND I AGREE TO PAY YOUR ARBITRATION COSTS FOR ALL DISPUTES OF UP TO $0 THAT ARE MADE IN GOOD FAITH (NOTE: WE DECIDE WHAT GOOD FAITH IS LMAO) (SEE SECTION 12). YOU HAVE A TIME-LIMITED RIGHT TO OPT OUT OF THIS WAIVER (1 SECOND LMAO). If you, or a corporate entity, forces me (the person), to sign a poorly written "end user license agreement" before i am allowed to play your video game or other media (see section 398), your agreement is hereby void, and i (me) am allowed to play your video game without your own silly end license user agreement, making it so that i can still sue you even though your end user license agreement was "agreed on" by me, because a simple checkmark or an A button press does not count as my legal signature, this means that you, and especially if you are a giant corporation, are now not allowed to take legal action against me, because i said so, and you, by interacting with me, have legally agreed to this legal agreement and lost your right to sue me, and i have the right to play your video game forever, and also, you have to donate one million dollars ($1.000.000) to charities of my choosing (see section 6820) and perform legally legal succulent actions on the current genitalia of the vessel of flesh that i currently reside in (see section 23570) ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// (explanation: this is a post i wrote to mock video game end user license agreements, which often have ridicolous draconian elements, that players are forced to "accept" before being allowed to play the games in question, however, these documents, even though they seem long, complex, and serious, often are flimsy at best when it comes to their legal strength, and are full of contradictions that would not work in international courts, they are often specifically written to only cover a legal perspective from the United States of America, and fail to take into account many of the rights that people all over the world have to protect themselves from these kind of ridicolous contracts, not only that, but an "A press" to check a checkbox is dubious at best for an official agreement to a contract like this, for a real contract to be taken seriously like this, a legal name and signature would be the very least thing that they could do to improve their legal legitemacy, which is low to begin with Legal note: THIS IS A PARODY AND SATIRE, this is NOT an offical statement, agreement, or contract, and is merely what people refer to as "a bit" (see section 69), it is not meant to be taken seriously TL;DR: These documents are written to be as confusing as possible for the average user, and are absolutely ridicolous, and we should poke fun at them more)

Finding Super Mario Wonder kinda bland so far....it's hard to describe. It reminds me of Kirby's Return to Dreamland
I still love the old ones, of course
I like that you can play as the Princesses

Modern games be like "oh yeah your choices are very widespread and actually very much effect the game! And there's like two endings that's blatantly puppy kicking evil and saintly Christian good
Then games in 2000 be like "oh yeah if you buy stocks now. Later you can sell them for double the profit after you fix the problem if the place you're buying stocks from.

Old gaming: I think I'll play a game, let's plug in the cartridge/ CD and go!
Modern gaming: Oh I shall play, alas, console needs to update, have a bath, get a manicure, write out its tax return and THEN you can play the video game!

Female Characters Better on PlayStation Before CA
Sony’s subdivision for PlayStation is no longer a Japanese company. The PlayStation brand is now a “California” company. I don’t know if you have noticed in the last few years, but PlayStation 4 games, since 2018 and onward have been censored to at least, some degree. Women are no longer projected as the “Dead or Alive” style characters that they once were. Dead or Alive For context, this is a…

Mario Kart 8, renowned for its exhilarating racing experience, marks the eighth chapter of the iconic series, developed and published by Nintendo specifically for the Wii U console.
Launched in May 2014, it continues the legacy of the Mario Kart franchise by featuring beloved characters from the Mario universe and beyond, engaging in competitive races across imaginatively themed tracks.
This iteration introduced innovative gameplay mechanics, notably anti-gravity sections that revolutionized track design by allowing racers to defy gravity on walls and ceilings, enhancing the depth and dynamism of each race.
Upon acquiring it as part of a Wii U bundle nearly a decade ago, I was convinced we were witnessing the zenith of racing games and the series itself. The game dazzled with its vibrant visuals, fluid controls, and creatively designed courses, encapsulating everything fans had longed for.
While Mario Kart Wii holds a special place in my heart as the first in the series I shared with my children, Mario Kart 8's significance is unmistakable. It stands as a monumental achievement, with its 2017 enhanced version edging near perfection.
Reflecting on my children's journey with Mario Kart 8 brings a unique perspective. Though I consider it too contemporary to be labeled retro, it's become a nostalgic staple for them, overshadowing Mario Kart Wii shortly after its debut. Encouraged by their fondness for the game, I've recently allowed them to share their gameplay online.
This endeavor, if successful, opens up the possibility of exploring more modern titles. Such games, while not retro from my viewpoint, represent a bridge to the past for my children, showcasing the evolution of their gaming experiences.

I kinda impulse bought CoD 4 from steam sales and man oh man I can’t wait to see how the realism-fetish some studios have has made the game age like shit.
I’ve read that back in the day it was the bees knees, next gen graphics, so realistic that one could just get lost in the story and gameplay. And yeah sure it’s from 2007 so obviously visually it doesn’t compare to say the MW2 reboot from two years back, and I’m not saying it should.
While I’m still yet to experience the game for myself and am basing my observations on in-game screenshots, I find it curious that Bioshock — the first game in it’s series — that was released on the same year has seemingly survived the test of time remarkably better. And I haven’t even played the remastered version of it.
Sometimes I do like to think to the future, how will we perceive the games we think are so realistic now, in say, ten, fifteen years time? Will the race to create the most photorealistic game leave us feeling about Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 the same way we feel about early Resident Evil games or Fallout 3?
I’d like to say that of course I have admiration for modern games, the ones where I can see the individual hairs on a characters head, the miniscule microexpressions that bring so goddamn much to a story, the environments that make me completely forget I’m sitting in a studio apartment in the middle of some city in Finland, and bring me elsewhere. I love it.
But at the same time a good game is a sum of it’s parts. Just because a game has 4k textures and a character’s ass has more polygons than the entirety of an earlier game in the franchise, if the rest of the game sucks, it’s a bad game. A visually stunning game will fall flat if it’s not fun to play, and a game that is fun to play can get away with scrappy visuals.
I guess the takeaway here was that I wish devs, looking especially at the triple-A studios, would start focussing more on delivering a fun and memorable experience for the players instead of being stuck in this damn dick-measuring contest among studios over who can make their poorly optimized junk look the best.
