-jane has a lot of pressure from home to be perfect so she overworks herself

-still brainy janey, doesn’t have many friends, is kinda friends with hazel, still gets harassed by the socs

-olivia makes good grades because she hopes her parents would stop favoring richie and pay attention to her

-olivia is friends with the t-birds, nancy, cynthia, and lydia

-cynthia and lydia are dating

-rivals because jane knocked olivia out of the top three for class rank when she showed up at rydell after winter break sophomore year

-jane tried to be nice but gave up when olivia wouldn’t stop being passive aggressive and rude

-jane is pansexual and hasn’t come out yet/still very closeted (closet is made of glass tho)

-uses her studies and responsibility to dodge having to date

-olivia is a lesbian and very out and proud (gil and richie are her emotional support himbos)

(going back in time so vecna would turned on his dark side.. this would be really easy way out, tho i hope it won’t happen lol?).. i’d really want eddie returning as a vampire, not really like coming from the dead, that would ruin everything probably (even tho i’d wanted it in heartbeat) buuut yk what i mean right? something like billy came back in max’s visions so eddie would come like this to dustin’s visions. the worst possible ending, is blood bath, there’s been a lot demand for a body count. i feel like modern audiences are more into stuff like game of thrones, walking dead.. stuff like that… killing characters casually. i’m not saying i don’t want a character or three dying tho! i’d be happy if they’d killed off two or three of the main characters finally, they always kill a new character that the audience like and then the audience is always mad. why is that?? we’ve already lost bob and eddie. should it be that way?? i’m really scared steve is going to die bc he was supposed to die in s1, if he does die i’m gonna riot against their stupid writing (that brings me getting stancy back together again). pls get him a girlfriend, a happy life he dreams about and don’t let him hang up on nancy anymore, he deserves better.. he’s changed.. also it needs to stay to the 80s show vibes and has the happy ending as well.. what do you think?? what are your thoughts? :D

I had to write down all your thoughts as bullet points so I could acknowledge them in my reply lmao. Loving this elaborate thought blurb! Alright, so I do think there will be some sacrificing going on, I'd see either Will or El doing it for Mike. Part of me thinks one of those two might die, but on the other hand I don't see them doing it. Why? 'Cause it would fuck up Jopper. And they spent a lot of time on Jopper. Hopper can't lose another kid and we've seen how Joyce handled Will's missing. Not saying this is logical, but it's what I think anyway. Maybe an almost death. Like one of them going in knowing they will probably die and saying goodbye- maybe, and then surviving. I feel like Max might get a more important role than we anticipate. Something about her showing up for El at the moment she needs her the most. Like in the mind thing. I'm worried for Lucas, that poor boy is suffering. :( Assuming Jopper survives - which I do think they will - I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Jopper wedding as a way of a corny happy ending. I don't expect anything mindblowing if I'm very honest, the fan theories have been so good that I fear disappointment for most of us lol. And well, considering many things - I also don't really care if it flops. I'll just enjoy seeing some of my sweet characters one last time before their actors go off into bigger and better projects. <3 Anyway, back to it. If they bring back Eddie, it's definitely gonna give us more pain than gain. He'll hurt Dustin, bet. As wonderful as the Kas ideas are, I don't see it happening considering what I mentioned in the previous paragraph. It's too good. I either see him show up in a Vecna vision or some kind of undead army thing. Both will suck. Imagine Dustin, who is literally embodying Eddie right now, is face to face with his dead friend. Yikers. Idk about the new lady, I'm honestly bored out of my ass that they added a new character for the last season. "Here's a new character to care about - or not - but they're gonna die once you get attached!" - so yeah, not many thoughts there. It'll be too brief. I don't see the town doing anything other than vandalize Eddie's grave and somehow find a way to blame the goddamn earthquake on him honestly. Steve and Nancy... fingers crossed it doesn't happen. For me anyway! For those that ship them, good luck getting it your way~ But yeah, I don't see the appeal, but I do feel how they're pushing it onto us hard. It wouldn't surprise me if Steve dies trying to protect Nancy and that we'll get a stupid nugget speech similar to Eddie's sheep speech. I really need that all to not happen. But don't wanna get too deep into ships, I just don't think that outcome would be sensible for either character. That said, Steve getting a partner (an unknown character) would be nice, but if I'm really honest I'd much rather they all leave it open to our interpretation. If we're getting a cliche ending of some future thing, just throw me the Jopper wedding or Steve and Robin (platonically) moving out of Hawkins together, away from that hellhole. This has become a mix of what I think might happen vs what I want to happen I guess, but these are my thoughts! And anyway, no matter what happens, we will always have a 1000+ fixit fics :)

I've come to realize, why do they always portray Alicent as brunette? She was confused as Saera by Jahaerys, and she had typical Targaryen traits. The Hightowers are also rumored to be descendants of the Empire of the Dawn, who I believe might have also had Valyrian features? (actually, if anything, Valyrians would have EoTD's features as it predates it)

When it comes to fandom, I think interest in Alicent started after we were already getting official art that depicted her as a brunette/dark haired, so fandom's rolled with it ever since. When it comes to official portrayals, given that we know George has had some input in official art, it's likely that it came directly from the horse's mouth, likely because "blonde vs brunette" is a tried and true trope of rivalries (Betty and Veronica, Tonya and Nancy, etc).

I think Jahaerys was confusing her with Saera because of the fact that Alicent was just a young woman similar in age to Saera and he missed her/regretted their rift, so that's likely what that was, rather than physical similarities in hair and eye color (and even if they did look similar, it could be in things like facial features, not necessarily coloring). I don't necessarily think that the Empire of the Dawn and the Valyrian Freehold shared common ancestors or are offshoots of each other, because while they might have coexisted (I don't remember the specifics but the fall of the Empire of the Dawn coincides with the end of the Long Night, and I don't think Valyria is ever mentioned as having had anything to do with that or being affected by it at all, even back in its infancy, so even coexisting is a big if), there's no evidence of their co-mingling, or of shared features. It's pretty easy to see that George made Leng, the Empire of the Dawn, and then the Golden Empire of Yi-Ti to be analogous to ancient/medieval/Imperial China, and in official art people from that region are generally portrayed as having East Asian features, which the Valyrians are not described as having, nor is anyone in Westeros either described as or portrayed in official art as having any sort of Chinese or East Asian characteristics. (I know George has said he's tossed around the "what if" scenario of having made the Targaryens, and Valyrians by association, people of color, but I think that's just him thinking back on old possibilities, not telling us that it's canon).

I know that there's in world speculation that the Hightowers, generally thought of as having been in Westeros since "the dawn of days" and therefore of First Men descent, might actually have ancestors who came to Westeros before the First Men, possibly from the West, which I do find interesting. And I know that modern Hightowers have been described as looking like Targaryens or other Valyrians, such Lynesse looking like Dany and Alerie being described as silver haired despite only being in her late thirties/early forties, but there doesn't seem to be anything about the Empire of the Dawn in particular, or any confirmation beyond fans noticing things that Hightowers are meant to share similarities to Targaryens or that Alicent might have had Targaryen features.

I do personally like Alicent as a brunette tho, mostly because it makes it very funny that Alicent's legitimate Targaryen children still have silver hair while Rhaenyra managed to bungle it so very hard that all of her kids by "Laenor" look nothing like either of their Valyrian parents.

i don’t want to judge people, but i just cannot wrap my head around canon-verse fics where steve’s a trans man. modern aus are no problem, but every time i see a canon fic I just go “???? in the 80s????” especially since the few that i’ve tried to read are post s4, so they totally gloss over the events of the prior seasons (specifically steve and nancy’s relationship and that absolutely unhinged interaction between steve and tommy and bully in the school shower), which leaves me with so many questions about the world. and I would just assume that it was “canon universe but there’s no transphobia” except the ones i read had steve coming out as a Big Deal in the plot because he could get hurt if he told the wrong person

i honestly haven’t read many trans steve fics, the few that i have were steve is a lab kid fics and he could change his appearance lmao. they were good fics tho!

and, i so do that nit-picky thing with fics too, where they kinda just gloss over stuff and then i’m like, ‘but what happened with this and that character?’ like, i’m the kinda weirdo that knows most of the lines off by heart, and when things are just slightly different, i cannot let it go lmao.

but anyway, yeah, i think sometimes people struggle to tow the line between not wanting to feature homophobia/transphobia in their fics, and acknowledging the danger of being queer in the 80s. i can’t really fault people for not wanting to include transphobia, but if it is a canon era fic exploring gender… you kinda have to dip your toes in a little (unless, like you said, it’s a no transphobia au).

Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as the ideas strike?

okay one thing to know about me is that i am constantly thinking about my fics. at least, currently that's how i am. like i get bits of dialogue in my head that I'll repeat and add in like what they would look like, how the tone would be, so i can transfer it into words later. like currently i'm writing a 10 things i hate about you au where i'm changing things from the movie to make it more in character despite the au and modern setting, so i spent a good chunk of work thinking about the next scene. and what they would say, how the pov character is feeling, etc. so yeah i am just always fucking thinking about my fics. like if anyone ever wants to bother me in dms, asks, or if we're moots i have discord, like expect to have me talk about my fics. tho i do know that my main ship right now is not for everyone and i do apologize for my brain rot. i do talk about them a lot.

4. How do you choose which fics to write?

i swear they choose me. i have like an embarrassingly large number of unfinished wips that i want to go back to but i also don't know how much i like them. so i'm always thinking about how i want to rewrite them or something. but i end up writing something else. but sometimes i plan things. like i have outlines for fics that i want to write about when i have the muse for it. like the steve fic i want to write so fucking bad. it's there, it's outlined. i just don't have the ability to split my mind from my current projects. which is also why i am trying to finish through my works right now so i can do more. but also i like prompts and i need to get more into finding some bc the edancy week helped me choose like 5 fics i wanna write. one of the more than others.

oKAY it is edancy so if you don't like Eddie and Nancy in a romantic sense, even in a romcom, i'm sorry.

Unfortunately, Nancy was learning she couldn't ignore Eddie. Not when she wanted to. It was particularly hard when he decided to sit in front of her during their shared detention. He had drawn a smiley face on his hand, moving his thumb up and down so it would act as a mouth. As if his hand was talking. Then he would hold up little notes with his other hand to act as dialogue. She had to bite down on her lip to keep from laughing too hard. It was so ridiculous. It shouldn't have been funny in the first place and yet, there she was, fighting the urge to laugh.

15. What’s your favorite time to write?

my sweet spot is 2 am to 4 am. sometimes if i go past 4 am I'll write some really unhinged shit but then i reread it later and i have to fix a lot of mistakes. like trying to find a snippet in my doc led to me fixing shit. also i love writing at work. i usually have to beef it up when i'm at home but it passes the time when it's fucking slow.

Ronance Fic Idea #2: Single Mom Nancy x Soccer Coach To Her Child Robin AU

hi welcome to another episode of its currently 1am and venny is self projecting, in today's episode we have the second part to my ronance ideas yipee!! here's the link to the first part [tw: mentions of torture and murder there] and sit back and relax since this one is more wholesome 🥰

set in a modern-ish time (I'm still not sure when this fic would take place in but definitely not the 80s) with no upsidedown or anything like that, and because of this nancy doesn't end up with jonathan.

nancy and steve were young and experimenting when steve accidentally gets nancy pregnant at 17. nancy's dad doesnt allow her to abort and practically disowns her while karen, the sweet angel she is, helps nancy with little max so she can learn how to take care of a child while still being able to go to school.

at some point steve and nancy breaks up mutually due to the fact they started to fall out of love and that raising max wasn't making their collapsing relationship better. but to this day, steve still stays in hawkins, working multiple jobs to send money to nancy for max's welfare and college. (ik he was an ass in s1 but idc, i want him to be a good dad)

after nancy finishes her college (let's say she doesnt go to emerson but another high level college in indiana), a year later, nancy gets a job and boston where her and max officially move to at the age of 23 for nancy and 6 for max.

since nancy was practically away all the time due to her studies, she didnt really got to raise max that well and have a distant relationship with her. after they move to boston, nancy tries to fix her ralationship with max. and though max loves her and understands why she practically wasnt there for half of her life, she just doesn't know her own mother that well anymore, so she distance herself and nancy having a family who are also distant, didnt know what to do.

nancy is 31 now and is the chief editor for the popular boston bugle papers (hehe fallout 4 reference), whereas max is 14, starting her first year in highschool. they're relationship is still a bit strained but if not improving little by little until one day max comes home eagerly and tells nancy about a new friend she met in school that asked her to join the soccer team after seeing her kick the ball during her gym class (said friend was jane hopper). nancy was nothing but supportive of the idea and asked her how she could join.

apparently for freshmen newcomers, they have to go to this initiation with a parent or guardian just to get direct permission for their child but if not then a signed form is plausible. ofc nancy chooses the former option wanting to watch her daughter play in a school team for the first time as she was interested in sports like softball, volleyball, basketball and skateboarding but never commiting to it through a school team until now.

SO INITIATION DAY COMES !!!

nancy is sitting along the outside bleachers just people watching and looking at max with jane and all that shit when the presentation comes and the official gym teacher introducing herself. thats when the most beautiful woman comes in looking distressed and interrupts her during her introduction to the parents and children. nancy finds out that the woman was the soccer coach who only part-times as a coach for the school soccer team. robin buckley.

obv robin looked distress bcs her ass woke up late and was almost late to the intiation.

now the pining insues, nancy practically staring at robin the whole intiation and only looking away once in a while to watch her daughter beat the shit out of everyone else in the team along with her new friend like holy shit bro.

during the intiation she meets a nice woman named joyce where nancy can finally be friends with and tells nance that she's actually the mother of max's new friend. and yadda yadda plot plot.

SO thats the most of it now on to the little fun facts of the story !!

max is ginger bcs karen's parents and her are ginger but she dyes her hair blonde so dont be confused

steve is practically besties with nancy now and has the same distant relationship problems with max too, but she still loves him

robin is new to boston, she only moved a few months ago from france, her parents are american tho

max loves hearing robin's adventures while traveling around europe

robin is very physical and bcs of this, she teaches nancy (indirectly ofc) how to express love through simple gestures and she starts doing this to max

when max was hugged tightly for the first time than what she can remember from nancy, she freezes and nancy thinks she made a mistake before max hugs back

max soon realizes that she loves physical affection

robin calls nancy the sweetest things and tells her that a compliment, even small, to max wont hurt

safe to say max and nancy's relationship started to heal and they often even joke around now, something they almost never do due to nancy's reserve personality and max's distant one

robin then shows nancy the beauty of quality time love language, something nancy lacked with max

Blackwall: 80s-90s Dad rock. Ac/dc, aerosmith, metallica, if your dad listened to it, so did he. i also think a tasteful spattering of johnny cash and he wouldnt tell anyone but he really likes jimmy buffet.

Cassandra: Actually nothing. Unlike Solas, she actually cant focus with music going so she just doesnt. 

Cole: * slaps head * this boy can fit so much projection. Jack stauber absolutely. I know what i said in my last post but lemon demon. Will wood and the Scary Jokes perhaps. Anything noisy and crunchy to block out thoughts. when ah ah too many thoughts classical music. Clair de lune on repeat. goes down weird music genre rabbit holes a lot. right now its megolovania remixs and vocaloid. Has a soft spot for emo music because look at that boy and tell me he didnt have an emo phase. I also think Mitski but only Be the Cowboy. Maybe the minecraft soundtrack because god i love the minecraft soundtrack. unlike dorian he has my 100% pure music taste.

Cullen: Also has really dad taste in music but country dad. (he strikes me as a very country boy idk like if he didn’t have the ferelden accent he would absolutely have a southern accent and i stand by that) Billy joel, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Dorian: Probably typical gay music gaga, queen, brittany spears, kylie minouge. Has a Deep love of girlboss country. Can rock the fuck out to Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton. Iron Bull: No real preference. He just listened to whatever’s on. Is insane and just listens to all his liked songs on shuffle. Probably likes heavier stuff tho, behemoth, Gojira, Venom. He probably also listens to punk but less than Sera.

Josephine: Now she definitely listens to french jazz. (i really like old french jazz) Listens to most radio pop. Definitely cried while listening to Sour despite never having a breakup. Definitely has an emotional support Lady Gaga album. just very happy pop-y vibes.

Leliana: She gives me massive Kinzie Kensington vibes so every vibe in my body is saying DMX, Old Kanye, Snoopdog, but my bones tell me.. old french jazz, josephine baker, Édith Piaf, Charles Trenet. but also Florence and the Machine and Mitski. so. Take your pick.

Sera: Chaos. Anything loud and noisy. I can imagine she listens to almost exclusively punk, Dead Kennedy’s, Carnivore, Gwar, etc. When not listening to punk, Gorillaz, Pat the Bunny In quieter moments she probably listens to Penelope Scott, Rio Romeo, maybe the Scary Jokes?? idk that may be pushing it. MAYBE hobo johnson and the love makers. big maybe in that one tho.

Solas: Nothing. Music is too distracting or some excuse. in actuality he just listens to game ost’s from games he’s never played. Mostly orchestral things. I only listen to the stardew valley and hylics 2 soundtracks so i have no examples.

Vivienne: Im having a very hard time pinning down Viv. I want to say oldies, Dion and the Belmonts, the Marvelettes, Nancy Sinatra. But also classical music? I have no idea.

What are their favorite things to do together?

THOTTYCULE — well, i mean. given their ship name i would be remiss if i didn't mention they're all pretty big fans of sex, for all of its nastiness and intimacy and everything in between. other than that!! they have a great time preparing and eating meals together, or just going out to eat as a group (aka an excuse for ilya and maeve to spoil everyone). honestly just,,,relaxing at one of their homes is probably something huge for them all, cuddling on your couch with your three partners is actually something that can be so personal and good for your mental health. i think they could have some fun going to the theater/cinema/whatever-fits-the-verse and then chatting about what they watched afterwards over some food and drink. maeve likes watching the lads train with each other because of obvious adoration and horny reasons, just as she likes when they invite her to join and teach her a few things. book club but just make it a group of 4 thots. in modern verses: they love playing board games together (and with the lads’ kids if they can join) usually strategy or dice games, road trips, fairs/carnivals, movie nights at the levin house. #1 top thing of all across every verse tho is cuddling :’)

THOTTYCULE — okay so i don’t have any for dietrich/ilya and grey/ilya specifically, but there’s through the valley for grey/dietrich & then all of these others:

for the group: pov by ariana grande. eight by sleeping at last. dinner & diatribes by hozier. naked by doja cat. pov is the perfect song about being Seen and wanting to learn about yourself from it and the desire to love despite being a little scared by it, which i feel suits individual dynamics and the group as a whole as well. eight is a nod to how terrifying it can be to open up and let each other in because of all they’ve gone through, but they grow to trust each other and are willing to be vulnerable because they know they’ll be loved and supported in their growth. last two songs are for the horny :’)

maeve/ilya: past lives by BØRNS. pete davidson by ariana grande. first song is obviously a reference to them being soulmates with maeve’s previous lives all being connected to him and ilya spending lots of time waiting for her. the second song is big time maeve energy once she’s finally met ilya, she’s enchanted immediately and it takes literally zero convincing that he’s her soulmate she already been knew. 

maeve/grey: two by sleeping at last. hands on me by ariana grande. the first song is one of the top maeve songs in general, but i feel it applies to those old chats about these two recognizing in each other the familiar act of putting on a smile to shift focus onto helping others and how they help each other with it. second song is there almost purely for the “might be a little thing, but i like that long” joke, not gonna lie. 

maeve/dietrich: just ask by lake street dive. please don’t say you love me by gabrielle aplin. the first song is just,,,Thee dummy song from maeve’s pov, it’s perfect in every way i don’t even know what to say about it i go fucking feral each time i listen to it. second song is a very good one for dietrich’s side of things where yeah he’s Feeling things but please don’t try to make him admit it because it might scare him off.

THOTTYCULE — it’s a Lot of pet names man, i’m not gonna lie to ya. every conversation is filled with ‘dear, darling, love, honey, babe, sweetheart, lover’ and more, mostly from maeve and ilya but grey probably throws some in as well. maeve and dietrich often refer to each other by their surnames. i believe grey uses “diech” for dietrich. ((kite had the addition of adorableness with grey having a nickname from grey of a zerrikanian word for ‘plum’ because sweet and purple, and we’re gonna take that at cute value instead of worrying over what exactly the word Would be thank you very much))

MILA/SYLARRE — i think they'd be fans of soft pet names, 'love' and 'my dear' being the most frequently used between the pair of them. mila also likes to refer to sylarre by his titles, sometimes for teasing, sometimes because she's simply proud of him, lowkey probably because horny reasons sometimes but we’re not gonna talk about that part we’re moving on-
