Today, April 4th, is World Rat Day, and to celebrate, the funny Noise is wearing his Thursday best!

Seeing as I drew and modded a custom sheep outfit into Pizza Tower just last year, it only felt appropriate to ring in my first celebrated World Rat Day by modding a Brick-inspired outfit into the Playable Noise update! 🐀✨

Gameboy Advance + Advance SP - 4t2 from Lightningbolt @ MTS. Be warned that these are sort of on the high poly side (around 1-2k poly) but texture sizes are quite small. Screens are their own subset so you can recolour the screens without changing the console colour.

Nintendo DS Game Boxes and Cartridges - Has a shelf version, a single game box version and another single game box that is upside down so you can see the back. Cartridge is the same. These are original meshes by me, very low poly and smallish textures :)

Mohd's DS Lite replacement turned into deco - Featuring a closed version that is repo'd to the open version. Screens unfortunately not recolourable due to how the mesh is structured, but comes in a variety of colours. Original at MTS here.

Chapter 1 - Part 2 (pages 5-9)

aka I had a dream about the turtles being hurt/sad/scared limping through a sewer being chased by something and it made me sad so I decided to inflict it on everyone else ( owo)b

MINI-SHELLDON!!! Donnie and SHELLY are completely running offline at the moment. Despite being disconnected from his larger mental server, the little guy is doing a good job scouting ahead and building a rough map for the turtles.

Page 5 - Panel 5 is where I first experimented with the painting style for the comic. I wanted a watercolour look, but a thicker paint look comes more naturally to me. Finding the right colour to fit the vibe took some time. I was originally going for a more sickly colour, but there is a lot to be said about the struggle of putting characters with green skin in a green environment.

Mikey walks ahead alone, impatient, pulling them forward. Leo supports a struggling Raph; by no fault of their own, the two dictate the slow progress forward. Donnie drifts behind, disconnected. Or maybe they are just walking in a sewer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In the movie, Leo wears his swords over his right shoulder, but here he has them at his hip and out of the way so Raph’s arm can rest over his shoulders. This is only partially because I kept forgetting to draw the weapons.

THIS PANEL ^^^ made me feel dizzy while I was working on it >:( I'm not quite satisfied with the final effect here, but I'm not really sure how I could have done it differently? I look forward to solving that puzzle someday with more experience.

Page 8 - The page where I felt bad \( T^T)/ what kind of monster would hurt them like this? Raph is trying his best to not worry his siblings, but oh buddy... Anyway, do you know how scary it is when your older sibling is injured? You can know that they are human and capable of being hurt, but that doesn't stop how earth shattering it can feel to see them fighting tears and down for the count. (my older sibling I know you just followed this blog, don't even worry about it, ilyyy)

In the series we see that they are all capable of lifting super heavy objects, Mikey in particular is comically strong, so the struggle here isn't being unable to lift Raph up, but in trying to support him while he struggles to stay upright despite his injuries.

I prefer stories where the characters get equal attention and screentime. Each and every turtle is going through multiple things the same time even if it's not stated outright, don't even worry about it :)

Page 9 - OH boy, some of the faces on this page are so rough and off model, but redoing the first chapter is the comic killer. Returning to improve the beginning of a story is an endless cycle of perfectionism and the reason many web comics and fanfics end. Plus! I think its cool to be able to look back and see the progress! To watch page by page as a comic artist's skills grow over time!

My storytelling style, while frequently lighthearted and silly, is a bit more down to earth than ROTTMNT's usual high comedy tone. I'm glad folks seem to be vibing with it so far!

Fashion was something Shuichi never really thought much about, nor does he think he's the 'fashionable' type at all, anyway. If he wasn't wearing his usual black uniform, he often wore 'business casual'-like clothing, and in general clothes that don't really make one stick out. So when saw Gundham strutting about the campus, looking so stylish as always-

"Ohhh..." He couldn't help but stare for a moment, too. He wouldn't call himself a fashion expert...but even he could tell that his upperclassman, was most definitely stylish. Naturally so, for a model... He's never really talked to Gundham that much, so when he caught the model staring at him-

"..!" His eyes widen in surprise, even moreso when he comes up to talk to him. "O-Oh, um....!" He waves a hand in the air. "I-It's fine! I apologize for staring so much, too... Hm?" He gives a curious head tilt at the question.

"Fashion....? W... Well.. I never really think much about it. I just kind of wear what's comfortable... Plus I don't have a single fashionable bone in my body, s-so.." He sheepishly laughs while scratching his cheek.

"But...ah....you think so...? Th... Thank you. I definitely trust your sense of fashion better than my own, h-heh...so if you think there's something that could fit me, then I... would not mind trying it out..." Since even he couldn't deny that being dressed up by the Ultimate Fashionista, himself, sounded exciting... He's sure Gundham would dress him up very nicely!

Of course, being an icon of the fashion world meant that Gundham always had to make a statement no matter where he went. Even when just on campus, the long black coat with buckles and straps decorating the front was open to reveal the white shirt with a crucifix painted on it. Silver piercings adored his ears and eyebrow, and on his hands were a collection of silver rings that stood out with the black, studded fingerless gloves and painted black nails. The straps on his jeans and steel toed boots might be a bit overkill, though as he tosses the scarf over his shoulder, he can't bring himself to care.

The white make up making his already pale face looking paler, the red contacts, and the thick, black eyeliner and lipstick left quite a statement, and as he kept walking he knew that people were staring, not that he wasn't used to it, though his eyes went to someone that he noticed in the crowd. An underclassman, someone with a similar aura to those that he met once or twice, and while he liked the dark and mysterious air the detective had... a part of his mind couldn't help but dress him up in something else, though he barely realized that he was staring until he was eye to eye with him.

"Oh, pardon, I was unaware that I was staring for so long. Tell me, have you ever had an interest in fashion, Mysterious one? You certainly have the looks for it, and it wouldn't be too different than your aesthetic now..."

When was the last time he got to play dress up with someone other than himself? Even if it was only yesterday, it felt like it was too long, and if the other agreed... well, he wouldn't harm the detective's appearance too much. After all, there were all sorts of gothic fashions that would suit him quite well...

⭐ A Overthinker Analyzes A TADC Merch Drop: Let's Begin ⭐

⭐️ Aside from the cool new merchandise and the Ragatha cardigan I wish I could afford, two key things from the latest TADC advertisement I addressed (remember, this could be a stretch, so if you aren't fond of overanalyzing details, I’d understand that this wouldn’t be in your best interest). Anyways, let's begin ⭐️ :

1. The Broken Chessboard Theory (Kinger and Queenie) ♟️ ☠️

⭐ For the advertisement for the abstraction long sleeve, one thing that stood out to me was what the guy was doing to the Kinger plush, specifically with the chess piece. While wearing the merchandise, he uses a life-sized chess piece to beat a Kinger plush and to overthrow the other chess piece the Kinger plush was placed on. Afterwards, much like the long sleeve suggests, the model abstracts in the far right corner ⭐️

⭐️ In addition, it wasn't with just any chess piece the model was using to hit Kinger. It was with a queen chess piece, similar to Queenie. This could possibly mean two things: either Queenie caused Kinger to glitch as an abstraction (similar to Ragatha in the PILOT) or something bad happened between them, leading her to abstract shortly afterwards ⭐️

⭐️ Especially, considering Kinger's dialogue to Pomni in episode 3, did Kinger act on something that led up to Queenie's finalized abstraction? Was there something he did that caused her to lose it, while losing it right after she did? Either way, both of these ideas can work well with the show’s narrative, though if the second one is true, I don't think it was intentional on Kinger’s part. Rather, it’s just his excessive guilt that’s eating him alive ⭐️

2. The Red Strings of Fate Theory (Ragatha and Jax) 🐰 🎀 🧶

⭐️ Similar to the theory above, the advertisement hints to another dark yet interesting possibility within TADC’s narrative, this time with Ragatha and Jax. In this ad, Ragatha and Jax are tied together, with their ankles holding the yarn in place. Building off from my previous Dead Wife Rag theory, it is highly implied that something important will happen between them, as they share two episodes together. They both have parallels to Baron and Martha Mildenhall, have been hinted to having a painful falling out, etc. The question is, however, what does this and the advertisement imply? ⭐️

⭐️ Well, according to the Ragatha cardigan’s description, we can conclude that, much like what Ragatha said in the PILOT, someone reaching their breaking point can lead to their death. The closest thing to death in their digital world is, you guessed it, abstraction. Now, what does this description have to do with the cardigan’s advertisement? Well, one thing “murderous” about the ad could be the strings of red yarn tangling Ragatha. It looks similar to a pool of blood, leading to no one other than Jax himself. ⭐️

⭐️ This might imply that Jax (unintentionally or not) will cause Ragatha to abstract, judging by the constant references to death. However, the red strings can also imply something else. Something entirely different that may intertwine with this idea. ⭐️

⭐️ According to folklore, red strings are used to symbolize ties. Referred to as the red string theory, this theory states that there is an invisible red string that ties two people together eternally, whether that be in a romantic or platonic sense. Regardless, no matter what happens between them, their ties will never break. They stay tied through their fingertips or ankles. And where are the strings tied to? Ragatha and Jax’s ankles. ⭐️

⭐️ Do Ragatha and Jax have hidden ties? Ties that will be explored in future episodes? If so, will one of them perform an action that may break their relationship entirely, which will lead to Ragatha’s abstraction? Will she suffer a similar fate to Queenie and Martha? Will Jax find himself in Kinger’s place, guilt-ridden and regretful? Or, despite everything, these strings will never break, regardless of what happens? Two things can be true at once, after all. ⭐️

⭐️ Either way, what are your thoughts on the matter? Do you think these details are intentional? I would like to hear your thoughts on this (Credit to @rascallyrose92 and @lnshy for brief key parts of this theory that I wanted to add onto)! ⭐️

Edit: The addition of the math symbols, knife, and hammer have me even more invested.

Math Symbols: We all know Kinger was involved with computer science, so his ability to calculate different variations of mathematics seems to be in-character.

Knife: Knives are constantly associated with Ragatha (ex: her character intro, character pin, cardigan, etc). This can imply that she suffers from emotional pain or that Jax will do something to cause her to abstract (die).

Hammer: Jax's hammer can imply two different meanings. Hammers are usually associated with force, building, mending, and strength. Maybe it's just for a slapstick violent gag? Or, could it also symbolize fixing a certain thing, such as ties? Is there something that breaks the tie that he needs to fix, or is it possibly too late?
