literally the gayest most flamboyant idiot teenager ever. he's a sassy overconfident bastard and we love him for it. he has a magic portal sword for most of the series. the kind of sword he wields (an ōdachi) was specifically picked because, AND I QUOTE, "he can't even hold that thing without looking like he was posing with it. we thought that was really fun for a kid who's got a giant sword and that kind of attitude." in previous tmnt iterations there was this guy, Usagi, who i guess those versions of Leo must have had some kind of chemistry with, idk. fun fact he's not even really a tmnt character, he's a crossover character who's just showed up in like three different iterations!! anyway, despite Usagi literally not existing in Rise canon, Rise!Leo gives off SUCH gay vibes that THE ENTIRE FANDOM HAS DECIDED THAT HE EXISTS ANYWAY AND IS LEO'S BOYFRIEND AND/OR MASSIVE CRUSH. THE ENTIRE FANDOM. I'M LITERALLY NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING. Leosagi is like, the biggest ship in the goddamn fandom and ONE OF THE CHARACTERS ISN'T EVEN CANON. this entire animatic. yeah.

Dual wields katanas like a boss. Has also used various other swords in different pieces of TMNT media. Regardless of which iteration of Turtles we're talking about, he's also almost always "close friends" with the katana-wielding samurai rabbit Usagi!

Okay, update time! Mostly to formulate my own thoughts, but just in case someone is interested.

So now that I’ve finally beaten Inscryption, I feel I need to adjust my stance with these characters and my thoughts on the whole shebang. So here goes:

I am definitely in love with Leshy, I think this is obvious.

I’m catching big feelings for sassy gay stoat ‘bot HELP ME.

Grimora still has auntie/grandma vibes.

Magnificus... is a little odd. Once I got him to lay off of his students a bit, he’s... actually not too bad. I can’t quite figure him out, but there’s... something there? Kinda? We’ll see how this develops.

I... kinda want to smooch Goobert, ngl? Cute gooey mage...

I spend a lot of time with the Temple of Beasts crew (they remind me of people I know.)

The mage pupils are the best friend group there is, no question.

I feel like most of the Scrybes, given the opportunity, just enjoy playing with Challengers (whether just the base game or their own versions) and asking to play their version of the game would be an enthusiastic affair with all of them.

I need soft content for all of the characters like I need air.

I’m not sure whether I’m going to write for my own gains or play more of the game Kaycee’s Mod I’m looking at you but I am thoroughly entrenched in this now. - it's not that he didn't pay attention to you, it's just that it never dawned on him what the piece of hair was even called

- for you, you didn't notice it showed off your emotions

- it's your hair and you can't really see it on a day to day basis

- the first person to notice that your ahoge shows off your emotions was yasuhiro, and even then he said it as a joke

- turns out he was right, your ahoge tells exactly what emotions you're feeling, regardless if you want it to or not

- and since then, it's literally been his main way of knowing exactly how you're feeling about something

- AND his go to thing about you to tease you with

- it's those times that you can see that slight smile of satisfaction on his face, where he almost acts his age as a childish teenager

- and even though he's a little annoying at times with it, you love him very much so it's alright

This has probably been said before but I saw a post about this earlier and it got me thinking about it and I guess I wanted to add my two cents. It has to do with Dorian being objectified by female fans who either mod him to be straight or who get all worked up about him not being an available romance - as well as those who delegate him to the “sassy gay friend” category.

Okay, so the first time I played DAI I knew very little about the romances beforehand, other than knowing who some of the choices were.  My main/canon OC is always female and always a mage and most often Elven (and has been Elven each time I play DAI)  -- On a side note, I realize I’m missing out on little tidbits and changes by only playing like this but that’s me.  

Anyway - I started playing DAI and of course there’s Cullen.  I was infatuated with the idea of seeing how he had progressed as a person since we saw him in DA2.  And hello?  That body?  That voice? The dorkiness? Gimme!

But then Dorian.  Oh my baby Dorian.  So I was like...I have to see where this goes and decide as I get to know each of them.  And I talked to Dorian and I did all his conversation choices.  And I took him EVERYWHERE.  And I was slowly falling for this sweet, kind, intelligent (and yes...sometimes sassy) man. He could pretend all he wanted that he wasn’t all those things but he IS.  But I knew there was something I was missing about him.

And then it happened.  Mother Giselle comes with that letter and of course I ran straight to Dorian and then we toddled off to see his father and there’s the “I prefer the company of men” line and I was like “Oh.  Ooohhh.”  -- And I really wish now there had been an option for my Quiz to say “Yeah, and?  Me too?” because looking back now I feel like she would have figured it out well before then and just kept it to herself because she would have waited for him to share.

And the whole after conversation where he basically expects you to turn on him for liking men and I literally wanted to reach into the game and hug this darling man and tell him that never, EVER again would he ever have to hide that part of himself.  That whole scene gets me every time.  (Let’s not even start on “best and only friend”)

What I’m trying to say in all of my babbling is that NEVER did I think “well I need to mod him to make him straight” or “ugh this sucks, why can’t he be straight?”.  It was literally: “Oh. Oh well.  He’s my best friend now.” And since then, every single playthrough it is “Here is Dorian Pavus, best friend and brother to the Inquisitor.  She would die or kill to protect him and he would die or kill to protect her.”  And they flirt with each other because it’s fun and they snuggle up in big chairs in the library and read all day and discuss what they read, and he always checks up on her on missions because he knows she pushes herself to the limit, and he was her man-of-honor at her and Cullen’s wedding and he was the one who carried her out of the Eluvian after they found her and he was on one side of her bed and Cullen the other until she woke up.  I read somewhere someone referred to their Quiz and Dorian as platonic soulmates and that’s exactly what Dorian and my Quiz are.

Ladies.  If you’re attracted to someone (fictional or not) and you find out they’re not interested in you (a la Dorian) then that’s that.  Move on.  Just like in life.  In real life you don’t get to change someone (hello?  Halward Pavus?  Talking to YOU?) to match what you want.  

And again I’m babbling.  Or ranting.  I’m not sure.  Cheers!

Thoughts on Raul, Arcade n' Boone?

Raul’s fun! I like how they thought “what if we had a ghoul was also like a literal vaquero in a costume and everything” and they just made it work in a charming way. I like how he has a sweet tooth and eats anything sweet you put in his inventory (at least I think he does, or maybe that was just a mod I saw one time?).

I love Arcade’s personal quest, especially some of the more tragic endings like being sold to Caesar if just because his responses and his actions are so well-written and delivered, and it’s really great to see characters with strong convictions. I dislike when people caricature him to be, like, a sassy gay best friend; Arcade is gay but he’s also the least cool human being on the planet and that’s why he’s so lovable.

Bone needs therapy. (shout-out to “Too Late to Love You” by @its-sixxers in which Boone literally does get therapy)

shes canonically ace :] and shes got a REAL ASS GOD DAMN SWORD!!!!!!

She wields a real ass goddamn sword and kicks ass with it! She can also channel her magic wizard tower powers into said sword which is also badass. She also has some really banger lines in the show.

She carries a real-ass-goddamned-sword ! Which is in genuine reference to when she's first introduced in the series! She also constantly carries said sword around and uses it in combat later in episode 7
