Consider she is safer this way. If she got more plot, she would be put in direct danger and would suffer far more on the mental health spectrum. Alfonse already needs ten years of therapy she doesn't need that too!!!

Very quick character design ref for how I draw Alfonse -- mostly to diagnose. A problem. Wherein I DESPERATELY wish and dream of making a plushie of him, mimicking the official FE plush line, but whenever I try to sketch it out it looks SO BAD.

I think the problem is that the chibi face/proportions are like. Antithetical to how I draw him. He loses all his sharpness and structure... 💔💔💔😔😭

Also to further explain the "DON'T THINK BLORBO GO" piece LMFAO, the exercise was to quickly draw him and then unpack the key features that are reoccurring/are always in the back of my mind whether I'm aware of it or not!

For context: Seidr mentions that Freyr and Freyja are her "kins" all the way back in Chapter 5, Part 1, and we've been breaking our heads trying to figure out how are they a family, just to learn later that in the OG Japanese script, she only mentions their titles.

Now Sharena just confirms in the Meet some of the Heroes that they're in fact, not related 😅

Thoughts on Sharena and Peony

From the start of Book 4, Sharena and Peony seemed to have a strange relationship. Not only do they look similar to one another, but throughout the book they’ve mentioned that they feel like they know one another or have been in certain places in the dream realm. So here’s a little background first:

Later in the book, it’s mentioned that the elves/fairies are actually children that were offered immortality/nectar to protect the dream realms, and in return they would leave their bad mortal lives. Peony and some of the other fairies have some memories of when they were children, but don’t remember most of it.

Changelings are brought up and they’re essentially children being swapped with elves, oftentimes because they’re not wanted or might feel like they’re not wanted.

Thoughts of what might have happened:

We know that Sharena and Alfonse had a mixed childhood. Alfonse was raised under strict methods by this father and after Bruno left the Order, he had a tough time opening towards others and grew up with a serious demeanor. Sharena on the other hand was always bubbly and happy, however considering how Gustave seemed so nonchalant with her, it’s possible she always felt left out. Not only that, but she also lost her friend Bruno. She might always give off the happy-go-lucky appearance, but when she was child, I’m sure she had some rough times when she was younger.

When children go to sleep, they go to the dream realm, however many forget their dreams because they grow up. Alfonse doesn’t seem to remember because he had to grow up faster, however Sharena, even in early adulthood, still seems to dream because she can still be child-like.

Sharena and Peony either first met when Peony was still mortal or when Sharena would dream. Either way, the two spent a lot of time together in the dream realm and would play together there.

Sharena is a girl who would do anything for the people she cares about and even for complete strangers. When she’s asked if she would give up her world to protect another even if it meant never going back, she hesitates. But I wouldn’t put it past her to do it. Since Sharena possibly had an unhappy childhood, could she have been offered nectar in the dream world?

Peony, if they were childhood friends in the mortal world, could have persuaded her not to drink it, and instead she would do it instead. While they might not be able to see each other in person, Sharena could always come visit her in the dream world or better yet, switch places, like in the case of a changeling.

With the two looking so similar, maybe there were times they would switch places with one another as a way to play tricks with their family and give each other a break from their world.

Anyways these are just my thoughts from what I could gather these past chapters. We’re only about midway towards the book, so once we’re close to finishing it, I’ll see how close or wrong I am lol. I just did this for fun, what kind of thoughts/theories do you guys have :>
