if you like comedic mockmentaries I highly recommend 1670 which is about a Polish noble family that still loosely follows 'family comedy' tropes
some of my favorite things:
-racist (xenophobic) uncle no one likes
-evil second son
-lesbian sex
-anti-nobility peasant who is just a small nudge away from doing his one-man revolution and murdering the entire noble family
-^^^he gets to kill someone
-sexism jokes that are actually funny because it plays on the absurdity of ignorance("You may not know this because girls don't poop-")
also i suggest listening to the original polish audio because there are some linguistic things like the father giving his kids affectionate names that aren't captured in the english dub or subtitles

i just wanted to come on here and cause some chaos for me, myself, and i--because iām most likely the only one who cares; the mockumentary fic was actually a toss up between two ideas. idea one is what iāve shown and have been writing with the ministry background. idea two, however, was centered around the triwizard tournament and tom would be a champion from durmstrang or something and drama happens (stupid drama that i still think would be extremely funny) and harry ends up as the hogwarts champion. at some point itās very well known that harry and tom have instant hatred for each other, but everyone is confident itās because they are just stupidly attracted to each other and donāt realise it. the mockmentary simply becomes aĀ āhow long until harry and tom figure out they have the hots for each other and need to bang like rabbits before the sexual tension kills everyone in hogwarts including the international delegatesā
#mockumentary au#tomarry#i still have hope for idea two#but i feel like it's too crazy and may only see the light of day in my drafts/notes#fic: life inside the ministry of magic

@purrassicjet and i were talking about celebrities that we think should run for us president and we landed on emily deschanel but she would need david boreanaz to be vice president (obviously) or it wouldnāt work as well and then we ended up with a bones presidential au??
here is everyoneās roles, please keep in mind now the rod is are american and all our information on how the presidency works came from hamilton.
brennan as president obviously because she would be great. only question we had was would she be ādr presidentā like how people say āmr presidentā because she had three doctorates and that will not be ignored
angela as vice president because america needs her. she is amazing.
booth as first lady because i donāt know the male version of it?? he would be very supportive of her most of the time and overall a great first lady
hodgins as treasurer of state (??i think itās a thing??). he is not allowed to make any political comments ever because no one knows what he will say next and he has often been caught attempting to break into the white house even though he has a key to get in
cam as campaign manager because they need someone behind the scenes who knows what theyāre doing. she is the reason everything doesnāt fall apart
sweets as secretary of state. not really sure why but ya know
aubrey is head of defence. he will keep them safe
zack is brennans assistant. iām sorry man but thatās your ideal job. he is very good at his job
all other squinterns as members of cabinet/congress (??)
itās not an american political party without an old straight white guy so that role goes to max. does america think his criminal history is controversial? yes. does the president give a fuck? no! he said he pinky promised to be good and you donāt break a pinky promise
caroline as supreme court justice obviously
karen from season 11/12 as the leader of the secret service
gordon gordon as presidential advisor because heās a smart guy ya know he knows what heās doing
all the other recurring fbi agents (flynn, perotta, etc) are secret service agents
sully is seventh in command. he kinda does everything else. he drives the car. he looks after the horses. cleans the pool. gardens. ya know. everyone loves him.
hate hanson i know you love an au so hears a sick idea for a 20 year anniversary reboot show. btw it must be a mockmentary like 11x18. also must feature another different remix of the opening theme.
#some thing may require more elaboration but iām tired so i might tomorrow#bones#bones tv#bones fox#bones au#purrassicjet

Like the worst example is Netflixās Cleopatha mockmentary. Yes Iām calling it that as I refuse to treat it as a legitimate documentary. Itās a classic case of American arrogance thinking they know a countryās history better then the actual people in it. Like there was actually black pharaohs in history but Cleopathra, who is pretty much confirmed to be Greek is not one of them. Heck itās even more offensive because not everyone who lives in Africa is black. Iām just glad Netflix got sued over it
That is pretty much the stereotype people think of Africans. Cleopatra wasn't black, yet we made her black. Like, do they forget that southern Europeans and Arabs exist?

WAIT!! your daisy jones & the six reblog!! I have that on my tbr š« I started a few months ago but school got busy so I never got very far and now Iām working on finishing another book first (love & other words). also yesterday I bought one true loves by taylor jenkins reid because I heard it was good, hopefully I can get around to it but Iām a slow reader š I also started annotating books and wow it feels so nice!!
- yes to heaven anon š¤
PLEASE READ DAISY JONES!!! It's such a fantastic book and if you like interview mockmentary type things then it's the book for you.
I'm gonna post my favorite quotes:
"I think you have to have faith in people before they earn it. Otherwise it's not faith, right?"
"I wish someone had told me that love isn't torture. Because I thought love was this thing that was supposed to tear you in two and leave you heartbroken and make your heart race in the worst way. I thought love was bombs and tears and blood. I did not know that it was supposed to make you lighter, not heavier. I didn't know it was supposed to take only the kind of work that makes you softer. I thought love was war. I didn't know it was supposed to be peace."
"I think people that are too similar... they don't mix well. I used to think soul mates were two of the same. I used think I was supposed to look for somebody that was just like me. I don't believe in soul mates anymore and I'm not looking for anything. But if I did believe in them, I'd believe your soul mate was somebody who had all the things you didn't, that needed all the things you had. Not somebody who's suffering from the same stuff you are."
"And baby when you think of me, I hope it ruins rock and roll."
"I am not a muse.
I am the somebody.
End of fucking story."

I film da vedere a febbraio al cinema
I film da vedere a febbraio al cinema. Tra i diversi titoli in uscita a febbraio, nelle sale italiane, spuntano tre film candidati agli Oscar; TĆ r, Gli spiriti dellāisola e The Whale. #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

No need to apologise! I forget that he's not as much a household name as over here, I think the things he's best known for are Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral, & About a Boy and a couple others. He's also great in The Gentlemen lol. Very funny man

what do tho think is going to happen with the character of channing for season 3? the actor keeps liking rina scenes ever since his role was announced. it seems like his plot is basically there to bring drama and he isnāt in all the episodes according to imdb.
Right so for this season thereās going to be a "docu-series" along with the typical hsmtmts mockmentary and what I understood from that itās that there will be like a behind the scenes documentary of the making of Frozen at camp because itās apparently a big deal. I imagine Corbin and his crew will film the group in all of their preparations for the role + camp activities.
The character of Channing was described as a camera operator. Thatās it. Basically his job is to hold the camera and film everyone. I donāt see why inserting a whole new character if this isnāt going to be important for the plot. My guess is that the crew is going to find drama to add to the documentary ā which of course will focus on the triangle (Ricky, Gina, EJ) and Channing will probably film something he shouldnāt have which will create drama. I find this addition interesting and definitely fun because itās something they havenāt done before. This season seems to be pushing for more drama and just overall seems bigger and I like that.

Actually what would be really cool would be if Penelope immediately became a cyberterrorist vigilante again upon being released from her contract with the FBI, and the reason the gang had to reconvene is to profile HER and put her back in her confines. Hotch has to come out from his peaceful west coast seaside retirement because his weird daughter is acting up again. Fantastic black-comedy style mockmentary. Profiling Penelope, now streaming on HBO on-demand

help iām watching Butterfly Kisses which is a mockmentary and anyway they got Eduardo Sanchez (director of The Blair Witch Project) to play himself as part of this mockmentary and in the movie he's like "yeah i think this found footage is totally fake and it's fucked up that he thinks the only way to market this movie is to pretend it's real" but if you know ANYTHING about how Blair Witch was marketed it was completely made to look real. the actors in it had missing persons posters, the website for the movie had police reports, the IMDb pages for the actors were listed as missing and presumed dead. they did such a good job at their marketing that tons of people thought it was real found footage and basically a snuff film, so it is hilarious that they had him be the one to be likeĀ āyeah itās really disturbing that this guys feels like he needs to pretend itās real to market itā

Pop Art Painter Jamie #Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes #JimmySlonina and Natalie Sullivan (Marathon; Film | Comedy) to the Show!
ā IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt13391648
From writer-directors #KeithStrausbaugh and #AnthonyGuidubaldi, Marathon is āa cheeky, giggle-filled #mockmentaryā (The Film Yap) that tracks an assemblage of improbable partakers of a long-distance race āChristopher Guest-styleā (Projected Figures).
An unprofessional documentary film crew follows five amateur runners as they train for Devil's Canyon Marathon, an offbeat desert race organized by Ed Clap, a desperate shoe store owner pulling out all the stops to celebrate its fifteenth year.
Said the filmmakers of the cast, āEvery mock-doc lives and dies by its cast, so the spotlight should be on them, not us. Thankfully, we had a company of Las Vegas comedic stars from Cirque du Soleil, Absinthe, Second City, and Blue Man Group... mixed with a few up-and-coming and hilarious Upright Citizens Brigade actors from LA. Thatās our statementā.
Adds the P.A, āLook, man, I was just getting $150/day. I canāt really comment on the overall vision.ā
Marathon is on digital and On Demand July 6 from Gravitas Ventures.
