This blog is a blog about a crossover between Warrior Cats and The Hunger Games because - come on, I know you’ve read both of these as a preteen. : )

This AU is set a long - around 40 years, even - time after the defeat of Bramblestar’s Imposter, in the Lake territories. The Five Clans have started fighting so much that StarClan, tired of all the conflict, cursed them all.

From now on, there will be no more Clans. You will forever separate among the territories into twelve small groups with no more contact as you have insisted not to have any peace between you, and each turn of twelve moons you will send two apprentices ; a tom and a molly, to fight in your place. Watch your kits die, as a reward for your insolence.

In that plight, StarClan has also given them a gift. Cats can master the use of fire to warm themselves and cook food, and make weapons of sharp rocks, sticks and strings to hunt, even walking briefly on two paws if necessary - only they play fools in front of Twolegs in order to not get preyed on. Despite this heightened intelligence, they still have much of their natural instinct, preferring to hunt, fight, wander, and lay in the sun.

Mockingpaw, a young tracker, and Ryepaw, a gentle tom who adores making things with fire, are reaped to be Tributes for this year’s Hunting Games, where cats do not hunt prey but hunt others. Only one could make it out....

Well uh I came up with this

The Clan’s Games

StarClan became tired with the unnecessary fighting of five Clans and the Sisters around the lake

They fought so much even among themselves that every Clan and the Sisters each split into two groups, making twelve groups.

They made a deal with the leaders at the time that two apprentices, a tom and a molly, from each group would be sent to battle every three moons, in order to preserve the peace. This deal was taken by the exhausted but still bitter leaders.

With time, there were no more of names like Thunder, River, Wind, Shadow or Sky. There were OneClan, TwoClan, and so on...

Changes to the Clan cat life

StarClan/the Capitol is the one that grants the Clans food and the ability to eat plants as to widen their diet.

The Clans are absolutely forbidden to contact eachother.

The warrior rank is obsolete now that cats no longer fight except in the Arena. There are instead the following types of Clan cats

Leaders - the oldest Victor is the leader; for example, Foggystar (Mags) is the leader of FourClan

Deputies - are usually the second oldest Victor.

Medicine cats remain the same except they can have kits due to declining population. Katniss’s mother is one.

Commoners - are the cat families without special positions. They live within Clan territory and usually trade between eachother. The word ‘warrior’ now only applies to cats who are going to fight in the arena.

In fact, fighting is not even taught in training young cats as StarClan forbids it. Only leaders and past Victors know how to fight and will pass the knowledge onto the young Tributes.

Characters

Mockingpaw - a molly exceptionally skilled at hunting and hardened to life. She has a sister, Primrosekit, who she is protective over. Eleven moons old. (Katniss)

Boulderpaw - a gentle tom who likes two things ; foraging fruit and Mockingpaw. Eleven moons old. (Peeta)

Rushtail - a young adult tom who taught Mockingpaw how to hunt and secretly, to fight. Sixteen moons old (Gale)

Primrosekit - a little fluffball who loves flowers and aspires to be a medicine cat like her mother. Four moons old. (Prim)

Greystar - the battle-torn leader of TwelveClan who is addicted to catmint and twoleg fire-juice. Forty moons old. (Haymitch)

Wrenpaw - an innocent young apprentice who reminds Mockingpaw of her little sister. Six moons old. (Rue)

LEADER - Greystar - pale grey, long haired tabby tom with messy whiskers and a tendency to use catmint

Morninggaze - black smoke molly, Greystar’s sister, mother of Mockingpaw and Primrosekit. She also doubles as the HEALER

Hazelheart - fawn molly with speckles, expecting kits, mother of Wolfclaw, Alderpaw, Brackenpaw, Dewkit

Oatfur - broad shouldered golden tom, mate of Redstripe, father of Wheatpelt, Barleytail, and Ryepaw

Redstripe - ginger tabby molly, mate of Oatfur, mother of Wheatpelt, Barleytail, Ryepaw

Barleytail - ginger tom, son of Oatfur and Redstripe

Wheatpelt - broad shouldered golden tabby tom, son of Oatfur and Redstripe

Stagtrot - young brown tabby tom
