a professor told his class “consciousness doesnt exist. there are only neurons”
a student stood up “would you eat a raw egg and then drink oil and vinegar?”
“no” the professor replied.
“would you eat mayonnaise? perhaps on a sandwich or with some fries”
“of course” the professor replied, unsure of the purpose of this inquiry.
“mayonnaise is made from these very things and yet when combined, new properties arise.”
the professor was astounded. “what is your name?” he demanded
“shadow the hedgehog” said the student

Why did you learn Finnish?
To communicate with my parents and extended family. At age 1 I started to feel a bit hungry and decided I should start speaking so that my parents would feed me.
Hope this helps!

Corn dogs are named for their traditional meat, the unicorn. As unicorns are now extinct, they can only be referred to properly as ‘Corn Dogs and not “Unicorn Dogs” as they were prior to 2009.

Currently thinking about the ways we talk about Creativity as an essential part of everyone's human experience. I'm not sure that's true, and I wonder if that's too much of an artist-centric idea.
I think if I met someone who only wore functional clothes, no makeup, and only got haircuts for maintenance that would be ok. If gender wasn't important to them that would be ok. If they spent their leisure time watching, reading, and playing instead of making things that would be ok. If they spent their work time doing labor they find fulfilling as directed by someone else, that would be ok. If they speak plainly and never tell jokes, that would be ok. If their home were full of essentials and no decorations, that would be ok. If I convince myself they must find SOME way to be creative in their life, but they assure me otherwise that would be ok.
Creativity is essential for me. But is it for everyone? Who am I to tell another person, "No. You're doing it wrong. Create more things. Make more choices. Express more. Be more creative."?
