âProtected areas of save data that cannot be erased in the options menu!â
This is the options screen. The option on the bottom is to delete the game data. The others (from top down) are for the cursor speed, turning the sound on and off, and what room the Stacomi will be in (it's like a wallpaper).
Using the options the player can format the game to get rid of any Stacomi on that save and start over. All data about the Stacomi (inculding of past Stacomi) will be erased along with the player profile data.
It looks like the game erases all data but there is certain data that CANNOT be deleted with this option. Saved mail and the address book are not deleted when the save game is erased. This data would have to be removed manually. (like going into the mail box and deleting everything found there, or erasing the address book manually).
As for data downloaded from the network, I have not found a save with any downloaded items on it so I can't see what happens with these items. Various places do mention that when downloading a new item, the old one will be overwritten so is formatting the save data not enough to delete downloaded items? Are downloaded items part of the same protected area of save data like the mail? I have found no places that mention any other ways that downloaded items can be lost... (unless erasing the save is so obvious that no warning for such a thing would have been needed).

hey so idk if anyone else following me has this problem, but if you're using tumblr on ios (apple/iphone) and it's running slow--go check your storage and see how big it is. my iphone had 16gb worth of tumblr on it, which explains a lot of the weirdness i'd been experiencing. (and if you're wondering why i waited so long to bother checking, i have an incredibly high tolerance level for tech nonsense...for better or worse)
i was prompted to check this after seeing all the shenanigans of tumblr storing 3+ gb worth of cookies on desktop. the solution to this problem on ios (and potentially other mobile operating systems, i assume) is to uninstall it and reinstall it, smashing the cache on the app will NOT fix the problem.
in short, go check how much tumblr is being stored on your phone or tablet and give it a good uninstall and reinstall to restore a little balance to your device đ

Do you have any good places for storing massive amounts of media like screenshots and icons on mobile? Iâm currently on Google Photos and Iâm consistently on the edge of my 15 gigabyte storage limit with everything Iâve saved over time
Hate to say it, but at a certain point you really do need to shell out for a paid storage plan if you're saving large amounts of data (pictures, screenshots, art, videos, etc). There just isn't anything available for free that 1) is a good storage system and 2) allows you to save more than like 20 gigabytes for free.
In my experience, Google Drive has the best pricing and overall experience. I currently pay $30 a year for 200 GB storage and am heavily considering dropping iCloud (my other paid storage system) because it's more expensive for a worse experience. I really do think it's worth forking over $30 a year (or $3 a month) for the standard Google Drive plan.
200 gigabytes should be more than enough for most people's needs (unless you're a terminal data hoarder like me, in which case you shell out big time for multiple external hard drives and a network attached storage system lol)

Alright, so Iâm gonna be taking a break from Gundam G Generation Posts for a little bit, since Iâve got other stuff I want to talk about. So, to temporarily cap this off, Iâm going to be talking about one of the two suits that directly inspired this series of posts;
The GB-9700 Gundam Belphagor, originating in SD Gundam G Generation F was an anti-Newtype mobile suit constructed by United Nations Earth for Use in the 7th Space War. Newtypes were commonly employed by both the United Nations Earth and Space Revolutionary Army during the war, with their loss in combat greatly effecting the momentum of both sides, since they were typically well equipped, piloting either Gundamâs (for the UNE) or Febralâs/Bertigoâs (for the SRA). As such, the United Nations Earth constructed a suit specifically designed to combat newtypes. Ironically, the best pilot for such a suit was a Newtype themself. Like the preceding Gundamâs Airmaster, Leopard and X; the Belphagor was fitted with a Flash System, essentially a catch-all term for Newtype weaponry, typically used by UNE forces to control G-bits, simplified versions of the âmotherâ mobile suit, shown below:
However, the Gundam Belphagorâs flash system instead allowed a finer degree of control over the mobile suit, allowing the pilot to more effectively counter remote weaponry. To this end, it was equipped with heat wires in the arms to destroy any funnels or bits the enemy might employ. Additionally it was armed with beam sabers (stored in the hips), a sonic smasher cannon (which would eventually become the mega sonic cannon mounted on the Virsago), a set of atomic scissors on the knees and the arms could fold out into what are termed âstrike clawsâ, which each mounted a beam gun and high-output beam saber.
I like the design, since it still has a lot of the Gundam X-style features, but pushes them in different directions - the X has the long-range Satellite Cannon, the Belphagor has a bunch of CQC grappling equipment. I like how thruster-heavy it is, really sells that itâs supposed to close in and wreck things. The colours are (at least for a Gundam) quite neutral, so you pay more attention to its armament. I like how sleek the chest is (and as an aside, I like how all of After War Gundamâs have a sorta gem on their design). The pointed feet feel like theyâre evoking something but Iâm not sure what. I really love how built-up the arms are - you can tell that theyâre gonna do *something*. The headâs apparently based on Devilman, by Go Nagai, which is pretty rad, and ties into the suitâs purpose as a Newtype-killer.

Spacetop G1, Worldâs first Laptop that uses AR Glasses instead of a Display
A laptop that employs augmented reality glasses as a display was called the Spacetop G1 system, and it was shown to a thousand productivity pioneers by the tech firm Sightful last year.
The upgraded Gen 1 device removes the requirement for the user to stoop over a tiny screen when working remotely on a laptop by placing a 100-inch virtual display directly in their eyes.
In this blog, The TechRobot will showcase the Worldâs first AR laptop: Spacetop G1. So let us begin.
What is Spacetop G1?
Sightfulâs Screenless Laptop, the Spacetop G1, combines a computer with comfortable, lightweight augmented reality glasses. Running on the device is SpaceOS, a spatial operating system with an emphasis on online operations intended for productivity.
The weight of the AR glasses is 85 grams, but the Vision Pro, depending on the Light Seal, weighs between 600 and 650 grams. The keyboard is bulkier compared to a MacBook Air or iPad Pro, measuring less than 12 inches in width and weighing three pounds.
Cost of AR Laptop
The Screenless Laptop, Spacetop G1 charges $1,700 and is just a keyboard with spectacles attached.
Spacetop G1 Specs
Spacetop G1, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon QCS8550 CPU, Kryo GPU, Adreno 740 AI, dual eNPU V3, 48 INT8, 12 FP16 TOPs, 16 GB LPDDR5, 128 GB UFS3.1 storage, and 8-hour battery life.
They have two OLED display screens, a 50° field of vision, a 90Hz refresh rate, and very crisp text rendering.
The glasses enable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, and a 5MP camera. They also contain a microphone for use in online meetings.
Benefits of AR Laptops
1. Endless View
With Spacetopâs Virtual Desktop, you may get amusement and information without having to navigate around, making it a convenient substitute for real screen space. Although itâs not the only solution with this functionality, this one could be the easiest to use.
A standard keyboard and touchpad, Spacetopâs AR glasses, and a perhaps lower price tag might allow customers to enjoy endless screen areas without sacrificing functionality. For individuals who would rather have a more ordered workstation, this would be a time-saving alternative.
2. Absolute privacy
Multi-monitor laptop attachments should not be used in public areas due to the increased danger of uninvited eyes peeping at private information caused by an excessive number of physical displays. Although privacy screens are available on certain computers and monitors, they are limited to one monitor.
To solve this, Spacetop is a Screenless Laptop, letting the user see their screen alone until it is shared with others. But it also means that those standing close to the user canât see the screen without their glasses.
3. Improved posture
Laptopsâ screens are firmly attached to the keyboard, making them portable yet uncomfortable. Some people find relief from this neck pain by attaching a desktop monitor.
The screenless laptop, Spacetop, provides a more comfortable height and does away with the need for arms or ergonomic monitor supports. Due to this, laptops are a better choice for use at home or in the workplace.
4. Laser Focus
Spacetop G1 is an Augmented Reality (AR) device that reduces visual distractions so users can work productively and enjoy their free time. The apps it may utilize, including Windows or macOS-based software and limited gaming, are restricted by its Android-based operating system and mobile hardware.
Notwithstanding these drawbacks, Spacetop provides a more practical experience than a typical computer since it places all of the necessary components in front of and surrounding users. Instead of letting others decide for them, users may choose whether to allow virtual distractions to affect them.
Highlight â Introducing Travel Mode For Meta Quest Headsets
Best AR Glasses for Laptops
1. Apple AR Glasses
Apple plans to develop AR glasses that look like conventional spectacles with a built-in display. A prototype of the glasses has a thick, attractive frame and resembles high-end luxury sunglasses. With references to Project Starboard and reports of a glassOS, the prototype is anticipated to function on iOS 14.
Though it could take a few more years for a public release, rumors indicate that Apple has already started the second phase of development. The glasses will have the ability to add prescription lenses, gesture-controlled instructions that connect with the Apple Watch, and a true vision display on both lenses.
Possible capabilities include the ability to use virtual things in real-world settings, do activities without using a phone, and enable immersive phone conversations and remote collaboration software.
2. Meta Glasses
Rebranding Facebook to Meta, Mark Zuckerberg is concentrating on augmented reality glasses and headsets. The business plans to deliver Meta spectacles, a prototype of their augmented reality spectacles, in late 2024. The Project Nazare and Project Aria prototypes provide a fully functional augmented reality experience, with 3D visuals and an elegant design. It is anticipated that the Meta Glasses will include an immersive experience with radio, speakers, and cameras, a holographic display with built-in projectors, batteries, and sensors, and a broad field of vision. In 2024, the prototype is anticipated to be released.
3. Xreal Air 2 Ultra
The Air 2 Ultra glasses from Xreal are an improvement over the Air 2 model and are aimed at competing with Appleâs Vision Pro and Metaâs Quest 3 headsets. Complete positional tracking, a form factor akin to eyeglasses, and compatibility for immersive AR apps, TV viewing, and flat-screen gaming are all features of the Air 2 Ultra.
It has a 52-degree field of vision, 500 nits of brightness, two cameras for environmental mapping, hand tracking, and compatibility with Xrealâs Nebula AR environment.
Is AR safe for your eyes?
Prolonged use of AR might result in headaches, nausea, and straining of the eyes. This is a result of our eyes continually focusing on objects at different distances when using AR. This can cause pain and eye tiredness.
Conclusion
The future of laptops with AR like the Spacetop G1 marks a breakthrough in laptop technology by utilizing augmented reality to provide a 100-inch virtual display that improves user posture, productivity, and privacy.
The Spacetop G1 presents a new option for remote work by addressing typical ergonomic concerns associated with standard laptops by mixing AR glasses with a powerful computing machine and the SpaceOS operating system.
Despite several drawbacks associated with its Android-based operating system and the possibility of eye discomfort after extended usage, the Spacetop G1 breaks new ground in augmented reality technology by offering consumers a more useful and engaging experience.

Thousands of law enforcement officials and people applying to be police officers in India have had their personal information leaked onlineâincluding fingerprints, facial scan images, signatures, and details of tattoos and scars on their bodies. If that wasnât alarming enough, at around the same time, cybercriminals have started to advertise the sale of similar biometric police data from India on messaging app Telegram.
Last month, security researcher Jeremiah Fowler spotted the sensitive files on an exposed web server linked to ThoughtGreen Technologies, an IT development and outsourcing firm with offices in India, Australia, and the US. Within a total of almost 500 gigabytes of data spanning 1.6 million documents, dated from 2021 until when Fowler discovered them in early April, was a mine of sensitive personal information about teachers, railway workers, and law enforcement officials. Birth certificates, diplomas, education certificates, and job applications were all included.
Fowler, who shared his findings exclusively with WIRED, says within the heaps of information, the most concerning were those that appeared to be verification documents linked to Indian law enforcement or military personnel. While the misconfigured server has now been closed off, the incident highlights the risks of companies collecting and storing biometric data, such as fingerprints and facial images, and how they could be misused if the data is accidentally leaked.
âYou can change your name, you can change your bank information, but you can't change your actual biometrics,â Fowler says. The researcher, who also published the findings on behalf of Website Planet, says this kind of data could be used by cybercriminals or fraudsters to target people in the future, a risk thatâs increased for sensitive law enforcement positions.
Within the database Fowler examined were several mobile applications and installation files. One was titled âfacial software installation,â and a separate folder contained 8 GB of facial data. Photographs of peopleâs faces included computer-generated rectangles that are often used for measuring the distance between points of the face in face recognition systems.
There were 284,535 documents labeled as Physical Efficiency Tests that related to police staff, Fowler says. Other files included job application forms for law enforcement officials, profile photos, and identification documents with details such as âmole at noseâ and âcut on chin.â At least one image shows a person holding a document with a corresponding photo of them included on it. âThe first thing I saw was thousands and thousands of fingerprints,â Fowler says.
Prateek Waghre, executive director of Indian digital rights organization Internet Freedom Foundation, says there is âvastâ biometric data collection happening across India, but there are added security risks for people involved in law enforcement. âA lot of times, the verification that government employees or officers use also relies on biometric systems,â Waghre says. âIf you have that potentially compromised, you are in a position for someone to be able to misuse and then gain access to information that they shouldnât.â
It appears that some biometric information about law enforcement officials may already be shared online. Fowler says after the exposed database was closed down he also discovered a Telegram channel, containing a few hundred members, which was claiming to sell Indian police data, including of specific individuals. âThe structure, the screenshots, and a couple of the folder names matched what I saw,â says Fowler, who for ethical reasons did not purchase the data being sold by the criminals so could not fully verify it was exactly the same data.
âWe take data security very seriously, have taken immediate steps to secure the exposed data,â a member of ThoughtGreen Technologies wrote in an email to WIRED. âDue to the sensitivity of data, we cannot comment on specifics in an email. However, we can assure you that we are investigating this matter thoroughly to ensure such an incident does not occur again.â
In follow-up messages, the staff member said the company had âraised a complaintâ with law enforcement in India about the incident, but did not specify which organization they had contacted. When shown a screenshot of the Telegram post claiming to sell Indian police biometric data, the ThoughtGreen Technologies staff member said it is ânot our data.â Telegram did not respond to a request for comment.
Shivangi Narayan, an independent researcher in India, says the countryâs data protection law needs to be made more robust, and companies and organizations need to take greater care with how they handle peopleâs data. âA lot of data is collected in India, but nobody's really bothered about how to store it properly,â Narayan says. Data breaches are happening so regularly that people have âlost that surprise shock factor,â Narayan says. In early May, one cybersecurity company said it had seen a face-recognition data breach connected to one Indian police force, including police and suspect information.
The issues are wider, though. As governments, companies, and other organizations around the world increasingly rely on collecting peopleâs biometric data for proving their identity or as part of surveillance technologies, thereâs an increased risk of the information leaking online and being abused. In Australia, for instance, a recent face recognition leak impacting up to a million people led to a person being charged with blackmail.
âSo many other countries are looking at biometric verification for identities, and all of that information has to be stored somewhere,â Fowler says. âIf you farm it out to a third-party company, or a private company, you lose control of that data. When a data breach happens, youâre in deep shit, for lack of a better term.â

Introducing Samsung 24GB GDDR7 DRAM For AI Computing
24GB GDDR7 DRAM
Future AI Computing: Samsung Launches 24GBÂ GDDR7Â DRAM. It sets the standard for graphics DRAM with its industry-leading capacity and performance of over 40Gbps.
First 24-gigabit (Gb) GDDR7 DRAM from memory pioneer Samsung was revealed today. Next-generation applications benefit from itâs speed and capacity. Data centers, AI workstations, graphics cards, gaming consoles, and autonomous driving will employ the 24Gb GDDR7 because to its high capacity and excellent performance.
âBy introducing next-generation products that meet the expanding demands of the AI market, it will maintain to leadership position in the graphics DRAM market.â The 5th-generation 10-nanometer (nm)-class DRAM used in the 24Gb GDDR7 allows for a 50% increase in cell density while keeping the same package size as the previous model.
The industry-leading graphics DRAM performance of 40 gigabits per second (Gbps), a 25% increase over the previous iteration, is achieved in part by the advanced process node and three-level Pulse-Amplitude Modulation (PAM3) signaling. The performance of it may be further improved to 42.5 Gbps, contingent on the environment in which it is used.
Applying technology previously used in mobile devices to graphics DRAM for the first time also improves power efficiency. Power efficiency may be increased by more than 30% by reducing needless power use via the use of techniques like dual VDD design and clock control management.
The 24Gb GDDR7 uses power gating design approaches to reduce current leakage and increase operational stability during high-speed operations.
Major GPU customers will start validating the 24Gb GDDR7 in next-generation AI computing systems this year, with intentions to commercialize the technology early the next year.
GDDR6 vs GDDR7
Compared to the current 24Gbps GDDR6 DRAM, GDDR7 offers a 20% increase in power efficiency and a 1.4-fold increase in performance.
Today, Samsung Electronics, a global leader in cutting-edge semiconductor technology, said that it has finished creating the first Graphics Double Data Rate 7 (GDDR7) DRAM in the market. This year, it will be first placed in important clientsâ next-generation systems for validation, propelling the graphics marketâs future expansion and solidifying Samsungâs technical leadership in the industry.
Samsungâs 16-gigabit (Gb)Â GDDR7Â DRAM will provide the fastest speed in the industry to date, after the introduction of the first 24Gbps GDDR6 DRAM in 2022. Despite high-speed operations, new developments in integrated circuit (IC) design and packaging provide more stability.
With a boosted speed per pin of up to 32Gbps, Samsungâs GDDR7 reaches a remarkable 1.5 terabytes per second (TBps), which is 1.4 times that of GDDR6âs 1.1 TBps. The improvements are made feasible by the new memory standardâs use of the Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM3) signaling technique rather than the Non Return to Zero (NRZ) from earlier generations. Compared to NRZ, PAM3 enables 50% greater data transmission in a single signaling cycle.
Notably, using power-saving design technologies tailored for high-speed operations, the most recent architecture is 20% more energy efficient than GDDR6. Samsung provides a low-operating voltage option for devices like laptops that are particularly concerned about power consumption.
In addition to optimizing the IC design, the packaging material uses an epoxy molding compound (EMC) with good thermal conductivity to reduce heat production. Compared to GDDR6, these enhancements significantly lower heat resistance by 70%, ensuring reliable product performance even under high-speed operating settings.
GDDR7 Release Date
According to Samsung, commercial manufacturing of their 24GB GDDR7 DRAM is scheduled to begin in early 2024. Although the precise public release date is yet unknown, this yearâs certification process with major GPU manufacturers is already under way. With the availability of next-generation GPUs that will support the new memory standard, GDDR7 DRAM is now expected to be readily accessible in the market by 2024.

Why GTA V can't be played on Mobile devices?
One of the most anticipated game as well as hyped game of this era, Grand Theft Auto V has limitations too. In a sense that it cant be played on portable devices like Mobile devices(Android or iOS). There are several reasons why this game cant be played on the mobile devices. Since the concept of bringing/developing GTA V on Mobile is quite intriguing, There are lots of challanges and difficulties that you need to face to play this game on mobile devices, Here are some in-depth analysis why GTA V cannot be played on Mobile devices:
Technical Workability
Processing Power: Since, there are lots of generation of advanced mobile devices, despite their impressive advancements and power the game still lacks powerful processor to handle this game on the mobile devices. Not only this, Rockstar Games are dedicated to release this game on consoles and pc version only because this game is developed using RAGE game engine and this game engine is not compatible to play it on the mobile devices. Just in case, if the game is made available on the mobile devices then compromisation should be done that leads sacrifice in performance and visual fidelity.
Graphics Potential
Nowadays smartphones devices has been advanced, even top-tier mobile devices would struggle to render GTA 5's extremely detailed environments at an acceptable quality and frame rate. Even if it works on mobile devices it wont works smoothly or the FPS will drop it will be too poor to play on. Its necessary to downgrade in graphical system so that it can be played on mobile devices.
Control Concerns
There are lots of crazy stuff in GTA V which can be done inside the game. So one of the most important thing that should be changed on the mobile devices ie "Control Precision". There will be problem in the controlling system. Touchscreens just cant be applicable to run the game smoothly, Precise driving control, shooting, running and walking and many more wont work properly which is important concerns for mobile devices.
Hardware Problem
Since games like Grand Theft Auto V uses hardware in full potential so there might be the heating issue, which cant be ignored or solved, even with the cooler on the devices wont be appropriate. Mobile devices will be destroyed because of this issue so its quite impossible to play GTA V on the mobile devices properly.
Storage Issue
Storage problem is huge issue of this game, because the game requires more than 100 GB of free space to play, There might be needed more free space for online mode too, which is not compatible for low-end devices even on the high-end mobile devices it can be issue due to file size of images in gallery can create trouble.
Online Issue
As we know that, Grand Theft Auto V is compatible for online mode too, which is pretty amazing features for open-world game lovers. But the issue is that it can be problematic for the mobile gamers because of the lagging issue. It requires intense-speed internet connections for smooth online experiences. So consistent internet connection is quite impossible.
However, there are some legit ways to play Grand Theft Auto V on mobile devices. But first thing first, you need to be aware of fake websites that provides apps/games. They all are false promises, so you need to be aware of this scams and phising.
So if you are eager to hop into the game on mobile devices then there are options too like emulators, remote play, mods, cloud gaming services, also similar open world games.

OPTIMIZING GRAPHIC SETTINGS FOR BETTER FPS IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT: THE WAR WITHIN
Blizzard has invented and included FSR 2.0 in World of Warcraft, but sadly, itâs still a piece of crap that canât optimize performance effectively. So, the time has come. Together with the community, all the reddits, my own experience, and the experience of others, I created the first guide for optimizing graphical settings for better FPS in World of Warcraft: The War Within. Iâll strive to show you:
Lighting settings â Which are not important but can increase FPS while you play Warcraft.
Settings you can disable â Without the pain in your eyes.
Potato mode â This was my own creation. It feels like a total buttpain, but you can still do top MDI DPS in raids, tank keys higher than 10+, and do other things.
When weâre talking about real graphic optimization for World of Warcraft on a low-end PC (a potato), we need to remember some unobvious tips that enable you to play Warcraft more comfortably. Optimization here isnât about achieving 180 FPS on a 144 Hz monitor. Itâs about getting more than 20 FPS and being able to play your rotation smoothly.
Stable Operating System â Go back to a stable version of Windows 10 or Windows 7. Windows 11 has Game Bars, recorders, and other services that can impact performance.
Transfer Discord â Move your Discord from your PC to your mobile phone. While it sounds weird, Discord eats not only your internet traffic (which we canât optimize) but also consumes about 1 to 5 GB of RAM. The mobile version of Discord is much more optimized, so when youâre playing with your mates in raids or Mythic+, itâs better to reduce the load on your PC by using your phone for voice chat.
Remove Unnecessary Apps â Delete all unnecessary apps from your memory. This frees up resources for your game.
Graphics Card Settings â Go into your Nvidia GeForce Experience or Radeon Adrenalin software and set World of Warcraft to high priority. Limit the FPS to 24-27. The fewer FPS your game has to render from the start, the less load on your graphics card/processor, resulting in a more stable and smooth gameplay experience.
By following these small tricks, you can start your gameplay on much lower PC settings than expected. These routines help optimize your PC outside of Warcraft.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Optimizing Graphical Settings in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Zoom Out Command Hack â Use a console command to increase your maximum zoom-out capability by 37%. This helps you see projectiles and mechanics earlier.
Command: /console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor 2.6
How to Use: Press Enter in-game, paste the command, and press Enter again.
Camera Smoothness Command Hack â Use a console command to make camera zoom in and out smoother.
Command: /console cameraSmoothStyle 0
How to Use: Press Enter in-game, paste the command, and press Enter again.
Enable Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR)Â â Improve graphical clarity and detail without a noticeable reduction in FPS.
How to Enable: Go to Options > Graphics Settings > Resample Quality > Select Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR).
Console Command: /console gxAllowCachelessShader 0
How to Use: Press Enter in-game, paste the command, and press Enter again.
Adjust Particle Density â Increase the visibility of important game mechanics.
Setting: Ultra
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Particle Density > Set to Ultra.
Enable Projected Textures â Ensure all ground effects and spell hits are visible.
Setting: Enabled
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Projected Textures > Enable.
Increase Texture Resolution â Improve the clarity of visual cues for mechanics.
Setting: High
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Texture Resolution > Set to High.
Adjust Contrast â Enhance the distinction between different elements on screen.
Setting: 75-80%
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Contrast > Adjust to 75-80%.
