An au where Celestia and Fluttershy swap places/roles. Celestia being the Pegasus that is Rainbow dashes child hood friend and reforms Discord. Fluttershy being the Alicorn of the day, representing sunrises and sunsets, fresh starts and when to take a break and rest.

Celestia and Rainbow Dash are childhood friends, had gone to the same flight school as the other. They bonded over their shared multi colored manes and tails. Celestia is able to fly okay, but she gets made fun of for her interests in flora and fauna, having other pegasi throw “might as well be an earth pony” her way. Rainbow Dash eventually had enough and decided to race the bullies in her honor, despite Celestias protests. Similar events that occurred in canon happen afterwards, Rainbow does the rainboom. Celestia fell to the surface and landed in a large field of sunflowers that cushioned her fall, in awe of the much bigger heartier plants on the surface than the little potted ones grown in cloudsdale

Optional additions-

Celestias Pegasus mortal name could possibly be sunny days

Fluttershys alicorn name could possibly be something like Etherea, if we go with Celestia’s name being Celestial without the last letter. So just take the last letter off of Ethereal, boom Etherea. Her nickname could be Rea/Ray

Would their siblings swap? Idk how that would work, flutter brother alicorn of burn out? I joke, I think he’d be very into the artistic process of being the alicorn of night. I think Luna would be an artist with heavy burn out that needs help finding the passion again. I like the idea of both of them just keeping their main personalities and flutter brother being the most insufferable alicorn of night possible.

Learning these things takes time, and it’s completely okay if you’re still figuring it all out. For instance, when you face a setback, it doesn’t take away all the progress you’ve made—it’s just part of the journey. And reaching out for help? That’s actually a sign of strength, not weakness. Setting boundaries doesn’t mean you’re being selfish; it’s just a way of taking care of yourself. Progress can feel slow sometimes, but that’s because real change happens bit by bit. Most importantly, all the feelings you have, they’re valid. They’re part of what makes you, you. 💖
