Presenting the Emperors of Equestria, Grogar and Tirek! ☀️🌙

From troubled beginnings, these two powerful creatures became Equestrias first (and only) emperors together. Even after many (and i mean MANY) years have passed, these two still act like newlyweds.

Now, here's some extra tidbits to know.

Grogar and Tirek are both Sombras' biological dads. They created him using their magic abilities along with the help of a certain mad scientist to create their magic spore into the king we know today. How he ended up as a unicorn of all things is something Grogar and Tirek tend to keep in the dark. (No mpreg, sorry gang)

As for Cozy Glow, that will have to wait till the next showcase ✨️

Yes, this technically isn't the real Grogars design, and I was going to make him look like similar to his g1 version, but I actually liked soooo yeah

I know Tirek isn't in his ultimate here mind you, he is very powerful still! I just really like his 2nd form more then the others

For many eons, the sun and moon would already set and rise on their own. However, ever since Celestia and Luna were able to control them, it vastly messed with the order of things in Equestria. Grogar and Tirek were unfortunately able to fix this as Sombra had trouble stopping the sisters himself and had pleaded his father's to not intervene and instead leave matters into his hooves. Thus for a thousand years, days were constantly longer and attempts on fixing this issue were in vain. So the Emperors would instead, make the skies dark and cloudy. While the rest of Equestria were doing fine with the odd weather, Canterlot and its neighboring town, Ponyville, unfortunately took a major hit on its resources. When the sisters became reformed but "unknown circumstances", Tirek and Grogar decided to drain the sisters of their magic and finally had abilities to control the sun and moon. Grogar with the Sun and Tirek with the Moon. These duties were short lived as Grogar got tired of it and instead worked out a way for the two to rise and set on their own once more. It's not that he's lazy, he just doesn't want to bother doing extra stuff 🤣

Flurry Heart took me a surprising amount of time, and not just because of the way i do gradients in this style, for some reason the baby face was a bit of a challenge for me

MLP G4 S9 rewrite (kinda)

I honestly thought the whole Grogar fake-out was kinda dumb, especially since they did my boi discord dirty. So in my rewrite of season 9, Grogar actually returns.

In the rewrite, cozy glow isn't imprisoned, and is sent to a more juvenile friendship detention, where she is more closely watched.

While in the library of the place, she finds the book of Gusty the Great and her friend Starswirl the Bearded. She takes notice of the part in the story where Gusty steals the Bewitching bell away from Grogar, and hides it on a mountain. Cozy, now interested in the artifact, plans to sneak out that night and make the journey to the mountain.

On her way there, she stumbled into Chrysalis, who was preoccupied with commanding her army of tree stumps. Chrysalis, after finding out about the bell, takes off towards the mountain as well to find it.

Once both Cozy and Chrysalis arrive, they realize that the bell is in fact there. It's just attached on a necklace, to Gusty herself, who is frozen in place, sealed away as a statue. Chrysalis has just enough magic to break the spell, and frees Gusty, hoping that she can just take the bell away, only to realize that Gusty refuses to give it up.

Cozy questions Gusty and finds out Gusty did not in fact destroy Grogar like the stories said, but sealed his soul inside of the bell itself. Yes, Gusty did steal the bell, but instead of hiding the bell away, decided to hold onto it at all times for safekeeping. Unbeknownst to her, the bell was cursed. Over time, the bell slowly corrupted her, making her magic as strong as Grogar's. The ponies in her kingdom were terrified of her, and shunned her, driving her out. Gusty wasn't in her right mind, and cast a curse on the kingdom, creating the windigos.

Starswirl, her friend, turned on her, chasing her down to the cave they were in right now, and sealed her in stone. Gusty, unaware of what has happened the last few thousands of years, is tricked by Chrysalis and Cozy glow that Starswirl and Twilight sparkle were the bad guys. Gusty, now on the side of Chrysalis and Cozy glow, decides to help by freeing the soul of Grogar, commanding him to assist them.

During the final battle, all of the ponies and their allies now fight Grogar, who after a while, regains his full strength, breaking free of Gusty's control. Grogar is defeated eventually, and resealed by Gusty, who now realizes she was in the wrong. Still wary of Starswirl after all this time, she decides to leave Equestria and wander the world, as the Bell's curse grants her immortality

( this is just a summarization of the events, I don't have everything exactly planned out, this is just me over explaining my ideas)

Here is a redesign and a Backstory to Opaline

the one on the left is Opaline, she's a Pony/Goat Hybrid and she is the daughter of grogar

while the one on the right is her mum, a alicorn princess named princess Cherĩ Hana (Cherry Blossom) of the pony version of japan named Umapan and when grogar took over before gusty stopped him, he captured all the ponies of umapan and locked Cherry Blossom in her room where he did abusive things to her.

2 weeks later and Grogar was defeated by gusty by stealing his bell and using his magic agents him but the damaged was done to cherry and a month after he was gone, she finds out she was pregnant

she decides to keep the baby and at first after opaline was born, she loved her but then when opaline got older, the goat/alicorn hybrid became more and more evil as she was getting dreams at night of her dad telling her to join his side and she was falling for them, when opaline was 10, cherry had to banish her out of town after she serverly harmed a pony during a parade of grogar's defeat 11 years ago

opaline traveled around equestria for years and years until she found ponyville and does a plan to make all the ponies species to hate each other, it doesn't work as twilight who had been princess of equestria for a year at this point seals opaline away in a powerful gemstone so she will never be released.

but the problem is now opaline has been rereleased by a follower of her named ragnarok the centaur who is also a 3rd cousin to tirek and they are planning to release tirek, cozy glow and chrysalis and take over equestria once and for all.

so that's the story and i hope you like it 😁 all see you all soon 😋
